I have read above 150bpm is supposed to be a girl lower is a boy
the girls were 155 and 162, bimby was 164
I had heard 140 was the magic number. Either way my Hatchlet's very confused. I've had two scans. One measured about 136 and the next 158. The ring test - it went in a circle. Then side to side. Then in a circle. Both scans so far have revealed only one baby.
Love the new avvy MrsS!
ETA: Just tried the chinese lunar one & it said....... GIRL!
chinese lunar says boy for me but obviously they dont take twins into account but it was right about DD1 and DD2 i couldnt find on that i can use for DS as they all start at age 18
From what I have read it is below 140 is a boy and above that is a girl. Both my boys had heart rates above 150 though, so didn't work for me. Maybe mine are opposite? My current bub had a HR of 139 this morning. ;)
Efjay, the chinese thing is nonsense too, DS2 should have been a girl according to that theory. It also says that every baby concieved by a 30yo woman in the 2nd half of the year will be a boy????? I would go with 29 if you are sure that you were still 29 when you concieved. :)
I just had it proved that it's different for everyone lol
My DS and my first angel who I truly believe was a boy had heartrates of 180 and over...
This one looks like it's a girl, and her heartrate was 156 at 9wks, and was 139bpm yesterday at 19wks 2d.
As for the chinese theory - DS should have been a girl according to that, and this time I should be having a boy lol
My son's HB at 12 weeks was 161.
This baby's HB at 12 weeks was 158... gender TBC.
My baby's heart rate was 140 at my scan, and we also found out she is a litle girl at the same scan.
As for the chinese gender calender, apparently it is more accurate if you use your age of conception in chinese lunar years. Mine has been right for all mine using chinese years.
This baby's heart rate sits consistently at 150-153... Gender wont be known probably for another 18weeks
