N is a huge fan of the babycino's I will have to put up some other piccies where she is using a ceramic tea cup and drinking it, she looks so grown up :lol:

Definitely take it easy with the PP, a few friends have had them, some it has shifted and others it hasn't, I am so hoping that yours will move up and out of the way xxoo

AFM ~ not a lot, BH's hit me tonight as I forgot to take my Nifedipine when I got home from a BB catch up, so took it a couple of hours late, so have spent the evening on the couch. Got my OB appoitnment on Tuesday, hopefully it will be all good news and it is nice to have made it nearly 2 weeks without any big changes or extra appointments :dance:

Off to bed, and thinking of you all, and hoping BR and MS will be baking for a while longer xxoo

I will have to send them over from my phone, it won't be tonight, my belly is so tight and hurting, so I am spending the night on the couch, even sitting isn't help so I'm going to have to lie down. DH downloaded the Masterchef Finale for me so I will be watching that which will be good even though I know the winner :rofl:

I have adjusted my ticker to match up with the Dates my OB has for me, so that means I don't tick over a week until Thursday now....

I just know with Bleeding you have to get to the hospital quickly to be checked, but I am not sure what else to look for :redface: I will be cheering you on to make it 3 full weeks to your OB appointment :bluecheer: :cheer:

AFM 35 weeks on Thursday. Started maternity leave this week :cheer: and I'm so glad I did. I've been so tired so have been taking the opportunity to nana nap. I'm fighting off a throat infection too ATM :(
BP is good still. I'm still on 6 units of insulin and the endo seems to think I probably wont need to increase my dose too much more over the coming weeks which is good.

Wooo Hooo fro Mat leave and 35 weeks MamaSpice :leap: I hope you get through the throat infection quicky, it must be horrible I have had a couple this winter and it has really sucked. Great news on your BP and I really hope your insulin doesn't need to change, 6 a day sounds liks a lot, is that in one hit or a few doses during the day?

AFM ~

I am back :) 26 weeks 3 days, I have to change my ticker as it has been on my old dates and I hadn't updated it :oops:

It was a pretty good appointment a few changes, but that was to be expected.

She checked my cervix on the external US and it was just under 2.5cm, BUT before anyone gets worried, the actualy measurement would be at least 0.5-1cm greater, as she had done the external before and then internal and we gained nearly 1cm, so I was happy and not concerned with the measurement. We are also on medical management for it now, so I will be going onto Progesterone if need be and was good to give the internal scan a break and avoid any agrivation.

We didn't do a growth scan or dopplers, bub has a nice strong HB and looks good so I was happy to leave them until the next appointment.

BP was nice and low and is dropping each week, which is good, I think it shows that I am coping well and there aren't any issues there was 105/60 :D

Fundal Height on par.

Disucssed the changes to the BH's (last night and that the Nifedipine wasn't working all the time) and a bout of cramping I had the other night, which was never regular enough to be timed and settled after a couple of hours.

So my Nifedipine has been increased I now had to take a double dose, 2pm and 6pm, My OB is expecting that we are likely going to be heading up to 4 or more doses a day, but said it is much better to try and get hold of them rather then letting them go.

Flicker must turn very soon, rapidly running out of room and with the head in the left horn, back over my cerevix and the placenta in the right horn, the option of a ECV is not at all possible, as bub has to actually do a somersault either facing towards my spine or belly button and an ECV can only be done with a clockwise rotation (looking at the front so turning to the left or right). And the septum prevents that happening :( So I have to spend as much time as I can on my hands and knees, doing inversions, pillow under my bum while I sleep, sitting backwards on dining room chairs and no lounging backwards or reclining.

OB was really proud of me (again LOL), and I told her about a thread on a FB page I am on asking who your OB was, and told her that there were a few really lovely messages about her on there and she was pretty chuffed. It was good to pass on some positive feedback that she may not have seen otherwise, the girls at the front office looked it up as I gave them the page so they were going to show her :D

So I feel good still desparate to get out of the 20's and into the 30's!

sounds like ur OB is pretty happy with u which is good!!

glad to hear ur BP is doing ok.....
mine dropped to 90 over something cant remember what :rolleyes: but it was enough to need DH to hold me up in the shower for a few days till i go on my feet, my OB didnt really bat en eye lid coz its normal, mean while i thought i was dying! :lol:

yep im off EVERYTHING!!! no progesterone pessaries, no nifedipine, and no antibiotics!!! this is the first time in a pregnancy ive been drug free at this stage!!! :dance: mind u that could all change anytime.....

im still spending 90% of my time on the couch still, but im loving that i can go out quickly if i want to.... DH likes to take me on a outing on the weekend to help build up my energy which is good.... but im very careful about how much i do.... this week it knocked me round lot but im slowly getting there, i cant expect to be "normal" after 3+ months on rest!!

afm - had my NT scan, all went fabulously well, nuchal fold is only 1.7mm, so really thin. I had been debating as to whether to get the blood test, as I know I wouldn't get amnio or cvs and def wouldn't terminate, so based on the excellent results, am not getting the blood test.
They did an internal ultrasound, looked at the scar tissue (which is thicker than average) and the cervix length as well (this is 4cm, is that good for 12 weeks).
Bubs was so cute, my friend and I were nearly tearing up. I am so relieved.
Got another scan at 18 weeks.

yep we are having a baby girl!!!!:D:D:D thanks for the congrats!

we got told at 12w they "thought" she was a girl odds were 60/40

then at my 16week cervix check up scan they had a look and said 80% girl, and thats good enough odds for me!!! lol......
i asked my OB if he would trust a 80% guess and he rkons thats a pretty good odds for 16 weeks so im rapt!!! im slowly filling the house with pink things!! :lol:

Sorry I've been a bit quiet in here lately but I'm glad to hear that everyone else is travelling along so nicely :cheer:

HI girls,

Sorry havent been around, have been busy getting EFY book work done, still have some more to do but the most important things are done. Also have had sick kids "again". Anyway had DD4 whos 6yrs sick with gastro from last saturday and didnt go to back to school until the tuesday, then little V was sick on Thursday night through too today, gastro as well, so all my hard work of getting weight put back on her has gone out the window, as she has lost a heap of weight and still has the runs. DD3 came down sick on Saturday, with it too but seems better today, so she will definately go back to school tomorrow. DS1 was sick yesterday with it too, DH also came down with gastro, yesterday, and I came down with it on Saturday. Still have a bit of the runs today. My mum was over for the weekend as DH and I were going to stay away in town for the weekend, but due to me being sick we couldnt go, and also missed out on going to a friends 30th B'day on Saturday because of it, then mum came sick yesterday too. Only one left to get gastro, so hopefully DS2 doesnt get it. Dont particuliary want it to go aroudn the family again. Also DD4 has been coughing again, so kept her home again as, I dont need her getting worse and little V copping it again. So thats the only problem of a big family, once one gets sick it goes around and around until it finally leaves the building.
Anyway on to today, had my u/s and although the scan wasnt overly clear bubs appears fine, however have to go back in 4wks for another u/s to check bubs heart, which is what he could really get a clear picture on. Also DH wanted to know what we were having, but due to the scan not being overly clear we still dont know. The DR said he was unable to tell, and he wouldnt like to guess as due to how clear everything is, that he would only be about 10% sure.
Anyway maybe I should do a POLL, lol.

Anyway sorry for the lack of personals it has been so hectic here, and Im still not 100% either. I do have the hospital appt again tomorrow, so will get to hear bubs hb, which as you all know it is a lovely sound, so thats always nice, even though I saw bubs today.

Beema - Thanks for asking about me hun, Im so glad all is looking great for you, your OB sounds wonderful, glad she is keeping a close eye on you. Im praying little Flicker turns around for you soon. Hope little N is going good. Yay for getting close to that 3rd tri hun. hugs Ohh and for the BP, I went to the Dr's on friday had him check my BP, anyway he said it was something like 90/60, yet he turned to me and said it was normal but on the low side of normal. All I thought was gee thats low, Im never that low. Hope your BP stabilises.

My back is killing me, I will have to check the spinning babies website. I have no idea if I am having contractions or if it's just where bubs is lying. I am happy to still be here just wish it was an easier journey!

WTG blackrose, I am so so proud of you hun, FT tomorrow!!!! :leap: I can only imagine how difficult the last few weeks have been for you, I am so thrilled that you have made it this far and you have done an awesome job :hug: DD was posterior and I have to say the back pain in labour was horrid, maybe look into what your options may be, I think you can have water injections in your back, a hot shower on the back is good, and I found labouring on my knees leaning over the end of the bed really helped :)

Great to hear from you csab, hopefully your next US is more clear :hug: I seriously hope this baby decides to turn very soon, as I almost permeanently have a foot wedged in my cervix and the feeling is horrible :( N isn't well isn't well, she has another respiratory infection, she has been back on the steroids for the last three days on top of her other meds and we haven't seen any improvement yet and I really ummed and ahed about taking her back to the Dr today, and she has an audible wheeze that you can hear from the other side of the room, but she doesn't have chest recessions and only a slight neck tug so not back enough that she needs to be back in hospital on O2. She isn't eating any solid foods, not even her favourites or chippies lucky I managed to get her to drink a small smoothie, which was banana, yogurt and milk We will see how she goes overnight and if no improvement it will be back to the Dr's in the morning. DH offered to stay home with her tomorrow, and I think I will take him up on it, the last two days by myself has really exhausted me, I am not able to rest or sit very much and with her not sleeping during the day (30min today) I am not getting a break and need to rest.

Almost 36 weeks for you MamaSpice :dance:

Have everyone better but poor Little V is still having a hard time. I think I may even be run down with worry as have a terrible headache atm.

Beema - Hope Little N gets better soon hun for you too, it just never seems to end does it? Hope little flicker is behaving. Get some rest when you can sweet. hugs Little V is only eating tiny bits, but nothing seems to stay in for long with it coming out either end. If she isnt any better tomorrow, will be taking her back to the pead. Have already spoken to him, even though there isnt all that much they can do for gastro.

BR - How is everything going? Its getting so close for you, well done. hugs

Hi girls I think this is finally it for me, the contractions are really strong and moving around is making them stronger. About to have a shower and see what happens, dh is in denial as we have an open for inspection tomorrow and he is already tired.

Aww, Blackrose, How exciting Hun! How cleaver of bubba to have waited til full term.

Csab I hope Miss V is feeling better very soon poor little poppet :( DD is finally turned a corner and ate a little bit of yogurt this morning and some spaghetti tonight, which is massive considering she has had hardly a thing to eat or drink since Sunday. Her cough is still horrid, but we have stop the steroids for now so she is just on the AB, Ventolin and Flixotide.

Have a great weekend all, I'm off to the couch for the night, but will be keeping an eye out for a BA!!!

Beema - V seems to be getting over it now, she seems to be on the mend. Have also now tried her on Soy milk to see how she likes it, and she doesnt seem to hand it back to me, but is still due to getting over everything she is still not overly interested in eating a great deal. I really hope Little N gets better quickly, Im glad she is starting to eat something now. Sounds like a horrible cough she has. V is on the flexotide and ventolin until Im guessing winter is over and the warmer weather starts. Her pead is trying to keep her as healthy as he can by doing this. Hows your little flicker going and of course how are you going?

Well as for me, still having MS, I actually thought that I was coming down with something again, but is definately the ms nausea. Ive had it the whole way through, but seemed to get worse once I hit the 2nd tri. Anyway I guiess I should be off to do some housework. hugs all.

afm - saw the Ob on Wed, all still good. had a quick reassurance scan from the registrar, she tried to hazard a guess at the sex of bubs, I think that was a waste of time, I tried to tell her boys and girls all look pretty much the same at 13 weeks. I will wait until the 18 week scan to find out.
Getting sick of having my appt's in the local cattle market/hospital, it is so busy. I have to walk so far from finding a parking spot to the hossy and then wait on average 2 hours to see the dr, so asked if i could see the Ob's at the smaller hospital up the mountain, Ob said he visits there once a fortnight, and he will see me in his lunch hour :clap: I can then park with relative ease, go into a nice waiting room, grab a cuppa and be seen within the about 15 mins, much happier.
As far a MS I am feeling great, seems to have gone, this preg feels different to the others, so it may have a winkie this time after having a run of girls ;)
I was naughty the other day, saw a almost new bassinet and stand in the Op shop, it was so pretty, and after what happened with my daughter, refused to buy anything early again, but it was so reasonably priced ($40) and money going to a good cause (cancer council), that I bought it. I am still having contractions, didn't get much sleep last night, the contractions havent stopped and are getting stronger this morning. Its different now that I have made it to term I don't have to rush to the hospital, so I am going to stay home as long as I can where I can be comfy! It seems like the labour is more 'normal' than the two pre term ones, its progressing a lot slower.

Beema hope you got your rest on the couch.

Csab I had MS all the way through with both my girls, I struggled to eat a lot which only made it worse.

PS Dh is still in denial!

Blackrose - Ohh hang in there hun, DH will realise soon that this baby is going to make an entrance especially if your waters break. If your contractions are coming at 5mins apart or if your waters break make sure you head off to the hospital or call them to see when they want you to come in. Have you had a show? GL hun its so exciting. hugs. Ohh all of mine have been different in one way or another with MS, either nothing or just little bits, my first was all the way through.

BF - Glad to see all is going well for you. I hear you on the waiting. However my hospital has changed how they manage the patients so it has been alot quicker. Yay on getting another alternative. Ohh and what a great buy. Woohoo.

Hi girls I think this is finally it for me, the contractions are really strong and moving around is making them stronger. About to have a shower and see what happens, dh is in denial as we have an open for inspection tomorrow and he is already tired.

Well as for me, still having MS, I actually thought that I was coming down with something again, but is definately the ms nausea. Ive had it the whole way through, but seemed to get worse once I hit the 2nd tri. Anyway I guiess I should be off to do some housework. hugs all.

afm - saw the Ob on Wed, all still good. had a quick reassurance scan from the registrar, she tried to hazard a guess at the sex of bubs, I think that was a waste of time, I tried to tell her boys and girls all look pretty much the same at 13 weeks. I will wait until the 18 week scan to find out.
Getting sick of having my appt's in the local cattle market/hospital, it is so busy. I have to walk so far from finding a parking spot to the hossy and then wait on average 2 hours to see the dr, so asked if i could see the Ob's at the smaller hospital up the mountain, Ob said he visits there once a fortnight, and he will see me in his lunch hour :clap: I can then park with relative ease, go into a nice waiting room, grab a cuppa and be seen within the about 15 mins, much happier.
As far a MS I am feeling great, seems to have gone, this preg feels different to the others, so it may have a winkie this time after having a run of girls ;)
I was naughty the other day, saw a almost new bassinet and stand in the Op shop, it was so pretty, and after what happened with my daughter, refused to buy anything early again, but it was so reasonably priced ($40) and money going to a good cause (cancer council), that I bought it. AFM: well i kinda feel silly being in here now, everything is flowing along quietly with no dramas...yet :rolleyes:....... have my OB appt not this week next week so ive nearly made it my full 4 weeks between appts with no phone calls or extra visists! im getting scared about my next appt, i guess coz im basically at the point where things went up the creek without a paddle..... could be a interesting few weeks from here i think, more so for my mental and emotional state than physically

AFM ~ 28 weeks today, which is a big milestone in the premmie world, but am struggling, I think the Nif is going to have to go up again, having a real bad day of the BH's last night and today, hips have been hurting as with my back, so things have shifted, another quiet night tonight on the couch. Big OB appointment Tuesday, AFI's, Uterine Dopplers, Cervix Length, Growth Scan, GD, Platelet and other BT results :o

AFM not too much to report really. I've just upped my insulin to 8 units a day. It might sound like a lot but really it's not when you consider some GD mums need 80 units a day. Bub is DEFINATELY on the bigger side though. I can feel it.
I have come to the decision that I'm booking in for an elective CS this time around. A VBAC would have been nice but realistically evaluating my circumstances my chances of success are fairly slim. So I'll be having bub at the private hospital now and my Ob called me yesterday afternoon (on his day off) to re-assure me that we are on the same page when it comes to wanting to make the birth is a positive empowering experience. After all the too-ing and fro-ing and uncertainty, I am feeling really at peace with my decision. And I should have a birth date at my Ob visit on Tuesday. I'm getting a little excited TBH :)

Well was supposed to go to my physician appt today but due to the coughy kids cancelled so now it is on for next week. Have my next u/s on the 31st so looking forward to that. I hope everyone is well, and just wanted to say you are all doing really well lovelies. hugs

Just a quick post from me this morning....

I was spotting overnight Sunday and yesterday, lucky it was just old blood and appears to have settled this morning, and as that "area" has been out of bounds for a while I know it wasn't any "action" :lol: that caused it. I didn't call my OB about it as my appointment was booked today and I was feeling good movements from Flicker and it wasn't fresh blood. Still gave me a shock when it happened as it has been quite a while since I have had any bleeding or spotting...

Today I have just a "few" tests and scans...
Cervix length
Uterine Dopplers
Growth Scan
AFI's

And I get the results of...
GD test
Platelets
Some other BT's my OB has run

It will be interesting to see how things are tracking, with the BH's ramping up again in the last week we may need to adjust the dosage again over the next week, but hopefully we can sustain it at just double the dose for a while and only boost it when needed.

Hopefully it will be good news that will take us through to the 30 week appointment in two weeks time :)

beema - Ohh hun, hope you get some good results hun, sorry to hear about the spotting, yet so glad to hear flicker is giving you some movements still. Fingerscrossed all is ok and flicker stays put for another 8wks at least. hugs

Hi guys, I just found this thread.

I'm 7wk 1d preg with Bub #2, and classed as High Risk due to previous C-Sec with my DS, previous early losses (all before 8 weeks), my weight (somewhat overweight... BMI says I'm obese but I don't look it lol) and an issue with my pelvis (I forget the medical name for it) where the lower part of my pelvis is smaller than the upper part (basically meaning the openings that bub's head has to go through) which means that there is approx an 80%+ chance that an average sized bub can't fit it's head out.

I'm aiming for a VBAC this time, but as I was in labour for a total of 41 1/2 hours with DS before he finally came out there is a good chance I'll end up needing another emergency C-Sec.

AFM got my Ob appointment today too. Will be booking in a section date which I am quite excited about, now that I have made the decision to have a repeat cs. Bubba has had the hiccups in my belly about 4 time today already, lol. He gets them all the time. The radiographer said that it's a great sign as it means their lungs are getting ready for the outside.

PS: has anyone heard from Black_rose??? Wonder if she's holding her bubba by now :think:
