Kelly posted a study on it once, I'll see if I can find it.
thank you
I can't find the exact article she posted, but I found another one that linked to an information pamphlet about birth http://www.childbirthconnection.org/...eanbooklet.pdf. The part that is most relevant to you is the appendix at the end of the booklet that lists possible problems that can arrise and their associated risk level.
ive had one, wasnt my finest moment. took longer to recovery, couldnt help with bubbs for the first week. im hoping not to have one this time round.
thanks ladies for you advice and help, would love to chat to someone whom has actually had loads of c sections tho :)
my mum had 4 c-sections & was recommended not to have anymore as her scar tissue was too thin!
i think it depends on the individual as to how many they can have & how their body recovers!
i hope you find the answers u are after
I am going for number 3 section (in 16 days)... and if all goes ok with this one will try again in 2yrs time for my last bub (ivf) i know of a midwife who has had 6 sections... and she was told she could go on and have afew more...
Maz has had 4 c/s's, maybe she will see this thread and pop in.
i have had 4 c-sections and the dr still hasnt told me not to have anymore. i do know that it comes down to the scaring tissue how that heals some people it heals good others it dosent i know when i had my last c-section they did both epi and spinal block as they said it can take longer to perform the c-section and also before i had it done the pumped into you all the things that can go wrong (more then what they did other times) which frighted the living crap out of me but i do know of people who have had 2 and 3 sections being told not to have any more so i say as long as the dr dosent say no more and you would like more kids well keep going. i also found each c-section it got easier and easier with the pain and healing. Also the last c-section the used staples instead of stitches as they said as the scaring is thicker it would be safer to use staples
my mum had 4 c-sections and the doctor told her that she shouldn't have had more than 3 however that was 19 yrs ago. but i've read as long as you get checked out and everything is fine it doesn't matter how many c-sections you have nowadays.
thank you beau for your replie
