I put on 11kg with my first pregnancy and lost 1kg in the last week of pregnancy.
I think it depends on how big you are to start with. I started at 63kg and ended up at 73kg. My fundal measurements were behind all the way and I was induced suspecting IUGR at 41.1wks. Bub weighed in at 2.98kg!
This time around I'm lighter to start with, weighing 59kg so will see what happens.
I put on 15kg with DD.
We shall see with this one, but one thing I won't be doing is eating alot of cheese. I endulged in that fror 4 weeks of the pregnancy and ate 1kg of cheese a week! No joke! That month I gained 4kg rofl. Anyway, so I know not to do that again.

I read somewhere that the smaller you are before pg, the more weight you tend to put on, and the more you weigh (higher BMI) the less you put on.
I have have put on 9kg so far and am 32 weeks. pre preg - 67kg, now 76kg.
I put on 5kgs with DS
So far I have only lost weight with this bub, but I was the same with DS so I'm guessing 5kgs or so with this one as well :)
I was 94kg's before I got pregnant and lost 6kg's in the first 7 weeks... I stayed at 88kg's until the last time I weighed myself at 15 and a half weeks, and since then I've put on 4kg's... I've been 92kg's for the past 4 weeks now, and thats even with me eating everything I can get my hands on and lots of junk food too :lol:
With #1 I was 52kg and put on 20kg
With#2 I was 55kg and put on about 18kg
Now with 33 I`m 55kg again, be interesting to see how much I put on.
I got weighed last week and weighed 64. I started at 58 so thats 6kg so far and I am 28 weeks. Although its mostly in my tummy I am sure. My face, legs and arms haven't changed and my pre pregnancy undies still fit me fine, so thats good I guess.
I still go to the gym about once or twice a week and go into the pool.
i gained 19 kilos when i was pregnant, mind you, i had a mega craving for cheezels and would eat a box a day in the last few weeks!
now i'm 2 kilos under what i was when i fell pregnant. it's taken a while to get back there but i am glad i eventually have!
Angel Lilah: Started at 82kg dropped to 69kg due to severe HG (put it all back on unfortunately)
Bub #2: Started at 80kg dropped to 78kg and now am too scared to get on the scales as I've been on steroids and eating like a mountain. Off them now and have very little appetite but a very sweet tooth. Being weighed tomorrow so we'll see. :crossfingers: I haven't gained too much.
I was 63kg when I fell pregnant and put on 12kg thruout my pregnancy. When I left hospital 3 days later I had lost 10kg already!!! Now 4 months later I am back to my original 63kg!
I was however always a lean built girl......Don't worry about what you gain tho unless it is excessive as that can be dangerous! That's why you will never be weighed by your caregiver throughout your pregnancy as it is not an issue!
Last time round I started at 65 kgs and had put on 21 kgs when DS was born (2 days before due)...this time I started at 67 kgs and have put on 13.5 kgs at 34 weeks (am about 2 kgs under the same time with DS).
Um shamefully enough i started at 88kgs and ended up at 105kgs :redface: so that makes 17kgs!! :hide: Even worse I have yoyoed since then and after losing 10kgs Ive put * of it back on :crying:
yes, the other ladies are so right - if you start out a bit overweight or more, you will in general put on less - fat stores are already there to start with. You may even lose weight as some ladies have.
At the other end, if you have a BMI of less than 19, you are likely to put on a bit more than the 'average' which they say is about 12 kilos. I put on about 14kgs with my first, but started out at 58kgs (174cms tall), so I was very lean. Funny as it sounds, I also put on muscle weight, and had extra blood volume due to running though my entire pregnancy (had this measured). Amazing the adaptions the body makes.
this pregancy I started out at 59.5kgs and I have so far put on 9kgs at 26 weeks...so it looks like I may put on a little more than last time, despite either running/swimming/yoga or weights 7 days a week!! Regular clothes fit me, except of course around my bump, and I have only grown to a 12B cup size........it was hard to find a maternity bra in this size!!!!! but when my milk comes in, I know this will make them grow again !!
So we are all different........silly averages are just that, averages. I just LOVE having that bump - and a beautiful new life inside.
