Ah the great weight debate.
don't worry hun - i worried too cos i put on NO weight until 24 weeks - i've put on 3kg total. now at 28 weeks. i'm pretty sure that's all icecream too - have been scoffing down these awesome icrecreams called 'moo's'. haha
anyway - i started at 70kg and am 5.7" so ... healthyish weight. as long as u feel good don't worry about the weight cos it WILL come. i imagine if your eating habits have changed that has a lot to do with it. (i couldn't stand red meat and crisps for AGES so i'm sure that's why i didn't put on more) .... :D
as far as baby movement goes - it varies a lot as per comments above. i felt a proper kick at 17 weeks.

Well I started at 69kg (163cm) and have gained about 9kg. I'm 21 weeks atm and I still havent felt a kick, although DH said while I was sleeping last night he had his hand on my belly and felt a good kick! That gave me some releif cos I've been a little worried the last few weeks that I havent felt anything!

Thanks girls! It's really reassuring to hear all your experiences. I just want to be sure that bub is absolutely ok.

My first: 40 kg :o I was quite underweight to start off with.
My second: 30kg. Lost it all within about two years of the birth.
My third: can't remember
Ditto fourth and fifth. ;) The babies I breastfed with, the weight just fell off afterwards. With #4 I know I was pretty heavy when she was born but I was down to a size 10 by the time she was a year old.
This one, I've put on 10kg already. I've just switched to a low GI diet to keep my blood sugars under control and I'm hoping that I won't put on too much more. But the thought of even the normal weight gain of 15kg (about the best I can hope for) would still leave me in the 90s when I'm done. How depressing :(

I only put on 5.5kgs with DD1 and only 2kgs with DD2. Pregnancy was a great "diet" for me!! Try not to worry. Both my babies thrived in the womb and were born smack on the normal range.
As for movements, everybody and every pregnancy is different. I felt DD1 very early (probably about 15 weeks). I was concerned I wasn't feeling DD2 by 20 weeks (especially when you supposedly feel subsequently babies more quickly). Turned out I had an anterior placenta so that was muffling a lot of movement. She sure made up for it later on in my pregnancy though!!

With movement I didnt feel any until about 19weeks and then full on kicks at about 22weeks. It will get stronger as each week passes.

I put on about 18kg with DS, I just put it on right from the beginning. With this pregnancy I haven't put on anything yet, might be because I am also breastfeeding.Everyone is different though, as long as your healthy and feel good I wouldn't be concerned.
As for the movement, don't worry about that at all! I felt DS for the first time at 16w6d(just to be exact!)Haven't felt it move with this one yet, but I'm hoping to feel it slightly earlier than last time.

Waaaaaaaay toooooo much! - 15 kilograms. But I sat and ate my weight everyday in the last few weeks. I think I thought I was in a pie eating competition.
-
I put on 8.5 kilo's by the end of my pregnancy ( i walked lots & was careful with what i ate) ;)
Back then (two & half years ago) i read & was told by my OB & GP that the average woman usually puts on between 9 to 13kilo's
-
1st - 5kg (was way overweight to start with - like 30kg)
2nd - 19kg (was within my healthy BMI to start with)
3rd - I'll let you know, but as I am starting this pg a little overweight (about 12kg) I am hoping to minimize my weight gain to no more then about 5kg overall.
-
Wow! there is a lot of difference in everyone's weight gain. Pregnancy book guidelines for normal weight gain don't seem so "normal" anymore  I am trying to eat healthy regular meals, drink enough water and get enough exercise. Guess I'm on the right track ;) Thanks girls :grouphug:

When I was pregnant with DD1, I put on a good 30 kgs... but then I was severely underweight when I fell pregnant with her (still not sure how I conceived, tbh - DH's swimmers must just be determined little buggers), and I did go absolutely mad with the TimTams and KFC while I was pregnant with her...
After I had her I lost about 15kgs, was trying to get back to pre-preg weight but decided to try for another bub (and succeeded straight away), this time around I've only put on about 5 kgs and I'm 23 weeks. I had only put on 2kgs up until a few weeks ago, I was really worried because with DD I stacked on the pounds pretty quick and I was worried that this little one might be starving to death in there, but doc assures me my weight gain is totally healthy and my friends have said I seem to be losing weight from other areas of my body and gaining it in the boobs and belly.
