Thank you for all your help!
I was hoping to hear what everyone said, it has definitely made me feel more confident!
Hi everyone,
I would like to join your group too. I was 104kgs when I started this pregnancy, and I now weigh 107kg. I was right on the BMI 35 when I applied for the birth centre, and I was terrified I wouldn't be allowed in.
Mybaby girl is due on May 3, and I am so excited to have the same midwife at the Birh Centre.
I found a great store in Brendale, Maternity Superstore, that stokes clothes up to size 26. What a godsend, and so nice to wearing something comfortable that I can sit in all day at work.
I hope everyone is well.
Talking about boob splosions lol I have gone from a DD to a G and they are getting bigger. I will have to get refitted soon as I am overflowing the G cups :o I weighed myself at my mums the other day and I'm 87kgs and then my mum had to pipe up and tell me that I'm nearly 30kg heavier than her. Way to go mum :(
FarmGirl - you will have to join our baby group. I'm due 6th May.
Well done Arimeh's Eden on losing the weight.
Evening ladies... I'm having another down day... after an appointment with the OB this morning I basically got the impression that because I'm a big girl... and baby is pretty huge already (estimated at 5 pound 3 ounces) that I must have gestational diabetes and she is send me off for my THIRD 2 hour test...
He was measuring around the 50% at 20 weeks and now he is off the chart for his Head & Stomach... picture of chart here only his legs are short (like DH & DS), the largest off the scale reading is his stomach, and the second largest his head.
My first GTT test came back at 5.2, 6.9 & 4.5, which I was told was fine... not sure on my second test as they didn't write the results in my book...
I don't know what to think :-(
I'm pretty stoked :-) finally jumped on a set of scales and I believe I've only put on 7.7 kgs which is such a great relief. I was thinking at least 12-15. So yes I'm still extremely obese but hey I believe this is the least amount I've put on so far in all three pregnancies :-D
Thats awesome Danielle!
I havent weighed myself for awhile lol. On purpose maybe? Im currently sitting here watching Downsize me eating a chocolate sundae lol
Wooohooo Danielle that is awesome!!! :)
I'm still under my pre pregnancy weight - by about 800gms... so I'll probably reach that by the time bubs comes.. LOL
Ahurani - whats downsize me? And yummmmooo sundae!! Did you have a cheeseburger with that ? ;)
Its a show on DIscovery Health, a kiwi show lol
Of course I did! lol
Yum sundae's!!!
My weight is still going up! 4kgs off the hundred...should I take bets I'll crack it??? Lol. I have put on 10kgs so doing pretty well compared to last time.
Apparently I have a large baby on board too, on the 92nd percentile, I actually feel smaller than with dd and know growth scans can be way out so am not too concerned. Will wait and see. 7 weeks to go!!
Hello there mamas...
i am joining this thread being on the cuddly end of the spectrum and all.. UTD with no.3 and managed to nab my place in the birth centre at mackay JUST... well i have a few kgs to spare but am under strict instructions to watch my weight, BMI was 31 cut of is 35 - thankfully i am tall! ATM i am 103.3, never did loose the 30kg i put on with DS1 pregnancy, i have been up and down over the last 3 years. Have cut all foods with fructose out - bar fruit - and replaced sugar with dextrose, pure glocose unlike sugar which is half glocuse half fructose, fructose goes through your body undetected so far i have lost 2.5kg in a fortnight.... slacked off on exerices I am soooo tired but my pants around the thighs are baggier than last week so must still be losing YAY
Danielle_NZ i was told by a child health nurse that i must of had undiagnosed gd with both my previous pregnacys, i do big babies BUT my mum had big babies and she was only 45kg... um mrs child health nurse ever heard of genetics... silly cow!
Must make a start on dinner while the toddler sleeps!
Hi ladies,
thought I should pop in and say hello!! As most of you would probably know I have had bub, DS #2 named Caelan James. He weighed 3.8kg, 57cm long. I had a great natural birth, though lost a fair bit of blood and needed a transfusion, plus a few issues with DS which meant he was in SCN for a while, though he is absolutely fine and perfect now!! I am still anaemic and lethargic, though that might be caused by feeding my new born every 2-3hours!!
I am proud to say that I just reached the 100kg mark, so only put on 10kg through my pg again. And now, almost 7weeks after birth I am 1 kg off being pre pg weight, though my boobs are now a 16F!! (Normally about 16D). I have started to walk a little bit this past week, though my back is still a bit ouchy and when I do too much it complains! I also can't carry bubs yet, so walking with the kids is out since it isn't really exercise if the kids are walking with me because they're soooo slow. When I can I will acrry DS2 and DD and DS1 can go in the pram. That will mean I will be carrying about 5kg and pushing about 35!! But that will be a little while away.
I am so lookign forward to losing this weight. I am starting to eat more healthily, and it helps that DS2 doesn't agree with me eating chocolate and gets really windy and tummy pains if I even have 2-3 squares!!
Well this is a fare well to you all! Good luck. I will see you all around the other threads, but good luck with all of your births. I'm sure you will all do fantastically! Thankyou all for your support!
I have a woo hoo post and a boo hoo
I finally jumped on a set of scales end of last week and I'm 133.7 kgs :-( which is almost 2kgs heavier than my last full term pregnancy weight, however... Last time I put on 21.1 kgs and this time so far only 7.7 kgs which is my woo hoo!
I've decided that once baby arrives and my wound is healed I will be putting myself first in the weight loss front. I WILL be under 100kgs by Christmas. NOTHING will stop me!!!!
Hello Ladies.
I would like to join your thread.

Im 27 on the 16th, this is my first baby and Im so excited :D
Welcome Wannabeamumma! Congrat's on your weight loss to date :-) awesome achievement.
How exciting, just be careful on the way to the doc's my husband was so excited that he crushed into me on the way (we had to go in separate cars).
Thanks :)
I had a bit of confusion with the dr yesterday he wasn't very clear but today Im feeling better :)
I do have sore tummy muscles today, across the top like I've been doing sit ups (I haven't lol).
Hi ladies - been stalking this thread for a while :-) I'm in that joyous state of being pregnant whilst being overweight. It seems doubly hard at the moment carrying the extra weight. I think I'm about 95kg (give or take), usually my happy weight is anything under 80kg. I'm tall so this puts me in size 14 or less for most stuff which is fine and usually easy to maintain.
But since my pregnancy last year I've been really bad. Went up to an 18 then and now I'm easily fitting in a 20. Already my clothes don't fit around my tummy so I've had to go out and buy some stuff online (can't find anything reasonable in the retail outlets). Have brought some stuff from Motherhood in the US which was so cheap even with shipping and I've been looking on ebay at Cio Bella (SP) at some more casual long pants they have. Any other tips?
Oh, and would lurrve any good suggestions on when to get bras. My (.)(.) have gone from a F cup to easily a G/H cup already. So I guess I'm going to end up quite large up front...
