I hope it works out for you.
I think the comment about not wanting the baby so close to Christmas is a bit redundant, really. I mean, if the baby is due in very early January, it's close to Christmas and New Year anyway - what does it matter?
I can completely understand your disappointment - when you're close the the end and you're in pain and you're looking forward to getting it over with, and then to be told it's not going to happen... well, it's pretty frustrating.
Here's hoping you go into labour naturally anyway!
Thanks all, well its currently the 27th and still no signs of labour and baby. :( I missed out on so much of the Christmas feast because lack of belly room. And the food looked oh so good. Grrr!! Oh well heres to next years over indulgence to make up for this year!! :) Anyway hope you all had a great Christmas and all got completely stuffed and spoilt! - Oh and cmon baby you can do it ... time to make your entrance!! :)

Leekee....I was in your same boat a couple years ago. I was 38 weeks and totally over the pregnancy as well. I remember people telling me how beautiful being pregnant was and to cherish every moment of it. I want to tell every single one of those people to stick it where the sun dont shine. I remember I would jump on my bed thinking it would send me into labor...I did everything in the book. :) I guess the only advice I can give you is to focus and this beautiful baby that will make it all worth the sucky 9 month misery trip. Make light of your situation..laugh at yourself...keep doing those silly labour inducers even if you dont believe they will work. At least you will feel like you are doing something...
As for your midwife...I would have been angry to if I had gone in only to be told my someone else. You DID deserve a phone call :)
Thanks Jessica. I have another midwifes appointment in approximately .... 15 minutes. She said last week that we would try for this week. My bet is she is going to say - Oh you have 6 days to go ... Whats 6 days?? Not to mentions she is a smart cookie, setting the location for a home visit instead of a birth centre visit!! Grr - She knows I have 4 kids at home who do not need to see me spead eagle why she delves and digs (thats if she does). Oh well. Although I have to say, I might try the jumping on the bed thingy!! Hehehe kill 2 birds with one stone - try to bring on labour and to wake hubby up :D LOL! Im sure he would appreciate that!! Hahaha
