Tiny Bilby
Oh Wow! Congratulations!! I'm so happy you are no longer the Queen of BFN's!!!!
Taite and Seth - The twins Or twin A and Twin B (original lol) It has stuck, I still sometimes refer to them as 'The twins'
Jett - Button :) Didn't stick.. I thought it would, but as soon as he was born he was Jett. Now he gets Jett plane, Jettski, Jetty boy, Jett o rama (courtesy of today's nurse lol)
Moo was Shortstack - long story but it was car related not pancake
New bub was Buster, DH called him Peanut for awhile, but once we knew he was a boy we mostly used his chosen name.
Congrats btw!
no 1 was flipper (mum dreamt I was pregnant with twin dolphins about a week before we knew we were pregnant)
no 2 was tootle (named by flipper, who only had a few words and liked trains)
No 3 is Bombadillo
DD1 was Jellybean because at our first Ob app, she said thats how bib bub was.
DD2 started off as Jellybean and then became bump
We has the NT scan this morning for bellybabe and the woman doing it complained about the wriggly baby about 8 times.. so i think wriggler may stick.
Shoopy. We were discussing totally ridiculous names and DF said "Why don't we just call the baby Shoopy-Doop?". Shoopy just kinda stuck.
DS#1 was Splodge (on account of what he looked like on the first U/S)
DS #2 was Patcho (named by DS#1, no idea why)
My angel baby was Bubble (cos all I left was bubbles)
None of the names stuck, thank goodness!
DS3 got 'Chuckie' I had HG that was what he made me do so...
DS was Moo- dont know why
Pg2 was tiger, DS named it. (now an angel)
pg3 - Current is Sonic again DS named it. (due tomorrow) Problem is now everyone is used to Sonic and I think bub will be nicknamed it for life. Yet my boss said name it Soniq- for a boy and Sonique for a girl.
Liebling was... Liebling.
And just to break with tradition, Stormageddon is going to be... wait for it... Stormageddon. Wowzers, I'm original.
I tended to also refer to the whole pregnancy belly and foetus together as "the bumpling", because I waited for 8 months before it became a bump and then "bumpling" had stuck.
DD was Squirt. This little one is called Peanut - courtesy of a few girls at work so we could talk about the baby and how i was feeling without everyone catching on and the name has stuck
DH's pet hate is when people refer to the baby as "it" (e.g. "is it kicking')
No, Liebling has a real-life name too, I just rarely use it on-line. But you're not alone in not knowing that! I have people I allow on my facebook freaking out when they see I have a son whose name is not Liebling. I still do call him Liebling IRL though, just hyphenated with his real name. Like Fred-Liebling. Only nicer than Fred.
oh well there you go...
guess that means though that Liebling is up for grabs =P
Schnim....no idea but DH dreamed it up! It has stuck too.
We still call our month old DD 'Bee' and probably always will :)
Sent from my iPod touch - sorry for any mistakes!
Ohhhh good thread! Hope your pregnancy is treating you well maruschke!
Our angel was sticky pudding! Came from me saying to DH 'I hope it's a sticky one' and he started calling her 'sticky' which I didn't particularly like so I called her pudding! Hence 'sticky pudding'. Sadly she wasn't so sticking :(
We are currently pregnant with 'Rosebud'. Bud for short. My maiden name is Rose.
DS1 - Peanut
DD1 - Chooky
Noah - Cashew
DS2 - Bubbalouie
DD2 - Bumpty
DD3 - Beanie.
DD didn't really have a nickname before she was born - it took a while for her to have a name at all lol
I needed something to make this baby more real to me I think and one day picked up a cheap monkey toy - we started calling her monkey and it has really stuck now. Not sure if it will stick after she is born but I think it probably will ;)
