Poppi - great news! I'm so happy for you.
We still have a few more days wait till out first scan which is on Thursday 28th. I'm really hopeful that we get to see a heartbeat. Fingers crossed :) If we see two heartbeats even better!
Thanks for sharing your great story with me. Were did you do IVF was it at QFG? I'm also in Brisbane and have been doing my IVF treatment there.

Congratulations Poppi, I can't believe how similar your story is to mine!!
I'm 9 weeks today and yesterday I went for a scan because the day before I had some weird pains and then some spotting and was worried sick (I've already had 2 miscarriages this year) and they found 2 babies!!!!! I'd had the routine scan at 7 weeks and we saw a heartbeat, which was very exciting because twice before we hadn't, but we only saw one!!! We only had one embryo transferred as we only had one good enough for transfer. Turns out it split and I'm pregnant with identical twins! I am still spinning out, it's incredible.
Anyway, I read your story and thought how funny - we both had scans because we were worried we were miscarrying and then find out we're having twins!!! :)
Very exciting, good luck with your pregnancy!

Thank you baby dreamtime. I'm still coming to terms with the whole thing... and I'm so scared of all the things that can go wrong! How did you cope with the first 3 months? I'm also dying to tell everyone but need to wait till after the NT scan... I can't imagine having twin D/S babies... I'm very worried about these results because of my age... and then worried about needing a CVS or amnio done because of the risks of causing miscarriage... God it's a minefield isn't it?
I've got an appointment with my ob next Tuesday and can't wait to see my little babies again... I'm praying for 2 good heartbeats again...
How did you cope?? I'm so tired that every day things are just exhausting me and I'm quite off food generally, I'm worried I'm not eating enough... but I just feel nauseas all the time!
I can't wait to share our exciting news!!!!

Hi sjd, sorry for taking so long to reply, I have just gotten back from a holiday in Fiji :p, and am trying to catch up.
I guess you can only really keep positive and hope for the best, and rely on your OB and midwife if you have any concerns. There is no reason for it not to end up perfectly fine. I was worried prior to the NT scan, I know it is hard, but try not to stress over something that may never be an issue. Will be crossing my fingers for you. For me I have been pretty lucky, am touching wood as it has been smooth sailing so far, and am only now getting some back pain. I am also lucky in that mine are Dichorionic Diamniotic twins, so separate sacs, two placentas, from two embryos transferred. You will need to be monitored more closely as your embroy split, not sure what you are classified as.
I hope your appointment last Tuesday went well. There is at twin tread on BB, here is the link, Bella is still in there with ID twin boys, and Jenc and Azz have just had ID twin boys also, all have done well and had successful pregnancies. http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...ml#post2046240
Looking forward to hearing how you go. xx
Poppie, hope you are going well also.

No worries BD, lucky you holiday in Fiji!! That's where we wanted to go, till we found out that Feb is the worst time to go... now we have to find somewhere else with good weather in February! How was Fiji??
I'm feeling much more positive about things now... the NT scan went incredibly well - better results than for my son who's 2 now... so I feel very relieved! I'm actually not worrying about anything anymore! Just trying to get my head around the fact that I'm having 2 babies!!!!! My twins have their own sac but share a placenta, I can't remember what it's called, but it's good that they have their own sac apparently!?
Thanks so much for the words of positivity. I think I freaked out when all I could find on the 'net was all the bad stuff - it's good to hear of so many people having twins with no problems!
I'll have to check out the thread... thank you.
Sam
