Hi Kahlan, KellyD. MHB,
I know you are all at that stage of telling us to be careful what we wish for and I'm sure you're right. I want to feel movement but then there is no turning back is there and the novelty won't take long to wear off. Man those little buggers get into some tricky positions don't they? I wonder where mine will end up? Your little man is where MHB..under your right breast. Urghh...I really hope I don't have that to look forward to. I have been getting indigestion most nights lately and have had to take alka salza (even though it recommends not to when pregnant on the label, but what can you do?)
Great news on hearing Pipette's heartbeat TwoMums! Next you will will finding out the sex in just a few short weeks.
Since finding out our baby's sex, naming her and making her a part of our life already, our friends and family have taken the same approach. i know this is quite different from what most people do, but my family are all talking about her and sending little milestone pressies like she is already here. I got pressies after sending the 3D pics to the family as they feel like they have met her. It's just the best feeling to share the time with them all bonding with her already. It's a bit odd but now I will know the excitement that each of you feel when it is your time to choose whether to find out about your baby or keep the surprise.
KellyD, your observation about 2009 being the year of the boys and 2008 the year of the girls. Mine is also a 2008 frostie so officially fits the year of the girl. it was funny reading from you and then Kahlan about your girls and there really aren't many others apart from us at the moment.
A little wave hello to Bella55. We haven't heard from you and the twinnies for a little while and hope all is going along well for you.
Have a lovely day.xox:hello:

Hello lovely pregnant ladies.
Does anyone else have sore feet? Youch!!!!!!!!! I have them up in the air at the moment waiting for DH to get home and massage them.......:D
-
Hi all thanks for the welcome. It doesnt feel real yet. Its still so early. I think I will feel better after our first scan. Told DS last night so he would stop jumping on me and he keeps lifting up my shirt to look at the baby. Told the dog to get off my lap to watch out for the baby.
From previous pregnancy DS moved a tol but as we got further along he slowed down he just didn't have the room.
I have a question it is a bit yucky. But did anyone suffer diarrah from the progesterone or is it just me.

Hey girls
Is anyone using the body pillow for back discomofrt at night? If so, would you recommend it? I am having trouble getting into a position that doesn't aggravate my back. Off for a shiatsu pregnancy massage this afternoon, so that will be very nice.
TIA

Over the moon
Hi everyone,
Well this is my first offical post in this thread, I have finally gotten the nerve to come in here as I am over the moon with happiness. Last week we got our first ever BFP on my 7th transfer, my BT levels were good, hcg was 1526 at 19dpo, I didn't dare hope...I had an early 5 week scan today and there are TWO little cute as a button sacs. OMG!! I can't believe it. I am so excited but hugely scared, I know it is super early, but I just want to be positive and happy and hopeful. Now can't wait for a viability scan and am praying all will be good. I'll be back then when I am feeling a bit more confident.
Best wishes to all, xx
-
Good afternoon girls,
BDT - WELCOME and its so wonderful to see you in here :D WOW, 2 sacs! Did you get 2 embies transferred or did it split? It is very nerve racking during the 1st trimester but hang in there. When is your next scan? There are lots of GREAT girls in here for support and any questions you may have
Murph - I too am waiting in anticipation to feel movement  Have heard it can take your breath away at times but I dont care! Will make it all the more real :D The bonding side sounds good now that you know its a girl and has a beautiful name too. Ive decided NOT to find out the sex although DP is keen but Ive said NO, lol I want a surprise since I have to have an elective c-section and will be told when Im having him/her so want SOME element of surprise!
Neptune - have heard the body pillows are really good. Helps you "stay" in position. Im really worried that during the night I will roll over onto my back which is a no, no. I have found myself waking up on my tummy some mornings
Bella - WOW, finishing up work at 24 wks! Well done. Unfortunately we desperately need the money so am going to try to work for as long as I can. Good luck with your scan on Friday. Look forward to hearing what the sex is!
Saph - it is all surreal at the beginning but once you see the heartbeat, it hits home! Its an amazing experience :D I didnt have any problems when using progesterone although I didnt have to use them after I got my BFP.
Twomums - how EXCITING you got to hear the heartbeat! Its so amazing :D I heard a THUD as mine was kicking me, hehe Glad everything else is well.
Azzrenae - glad your boys are doing well :D Hope your scan goes well next week.
Hi to Smithy, Kahlan, Kelly, Grub, MHB and everyone else.
AFM, not much to report. Have been busy with my new and old house to think about much else. Have had no more spotting (thank GOODNESS!) Am waiting anxiously to feel some movement
Take care girls,
Tania
-
Oh I'm almost crying Murph reading your post on movement feelings. I can't wait for that. when do you normally feel something?
Bella wow at 24 weeks you're finish. that sounds great only a term to go. Have you decided if you want pink or blue?
Neptune, not yet but I will buy one, my girlfriend swears by them.
Congratulations Baby Dreamtime
Tania good to hear no more spotting.
Hi to everyone else, feeling a little snowed under at work and would love to stay and chat but really shouldn't. Hope all are happy and healthy :D weekend is coming
-
hi girls! wow it's busy in here. there seems to be so many of us! i just love looking at everyone's ticker tick away. can't believe some of ours seemed to have gone so quickly.
for the girls still in the nervous first few weeks - please, please enjoy your gift and try not to stress or overthink things too much. i'm :pray:ing for all of you and sending you all sticky vibes!!
baby dreamtime - YAYAY. i remember you from when my dh and i first started ivf last year. ssssoooo glad you are here.. and with 2! woot woot. stay well.
hi geenslw - when are you thinking about finishing up at work? i handed in all my forms last week and today got the formal paper work in the mail. sweettt. last day 29/10, that's only 18 more weeks of work not counting the 2 weeks i have off in that time! heehee.
Hiya Miss Busy Bee Mapgie! i'm very glad to hear the spotting has stopped... now i don't want to nag BUT you take it easy on yourself lady and don't over do it! when will you be rid of the old place? and good on you for not finding out the sex... i think you are in the minority here so it'll be a lovely surprise for all of us!
hi neptune - i've seen those triangle shaped pillows you slip under your belly for support in big dub and thought when i'm bigger i'll get one. but sorry atm can't help, sleeping like a baby (lol) ... including all the dribbling that a baby does! hee. hope your massage goes well, lukcy thing, did you get your feet done?
hi bella - glad you touched base. we are about the same EDD.. i feel huge myself and i only got one aboard! so i can't imagine how you are feeling now. It's like all the sudden i lost all coordination, ability to bend and DH is teasing me cos i apparently groan and grunt when sitting, standing, or getting up. dreading what it'll be like in 20 weeks! argh.
hi saph - i was on crinone gel for awhile and found the opposite. in fact i've been pretty much constipated since EPU in March (that's an extremely depressing thought now i've worked out how long its been). Progesterone genearlly tends to bog you up, but everyone is different and reacts differently. the only runs i've had are when i hit the prune juice a little too hard. I think bananas might help you, they have some 'clog em up' stuff in them, but i can't remember what it's called etc
murph - thanks for sharing how your family are reactig to finding out the sex etc. I've really been in 2 minds whether to tell anyone else or just keep it between DH and myself. still unsure but now i think we'll just tell em.
that's great news 2mums! feed her up for the next scan lol.
hi MHB, Kahlan, Kelly, azzrenae, kaydee :nahnah: (was going to do the hi smiliey but this made me smile!).
smithy, hope you are well, haven't heard from you lately...
AFM: just woke up from a nap'n'dribble too good! i'm on hols and DH got 2 days off so we r taking advantage of the sales and buying some big items. Got a Meridian car seat for $400, a steelcraft high chair for $190 and a folding change table for $60 :) also got a pretty good price on a breast pump and Dh just scored 8 new bottles with storage lids off ebay for $35. So we feel pretty pleased with ourselves! tomorrow it's bookshelf with toy box built in the bottom and chest of drawer hunting. Also got taken out for lunch so had a lovely day... So we now pretty much have all our major nursery items as a mix of new and 2nd hand stuff.
Now it's just waiting to find out the sex to buy the finishing touches, like clothes and decorations, bassinette (we both really want the blue one!) etc
i have a sneaking suspicion I'll have a blue baby as well.... But i'm a bit concerend that i'll be floored if its Pink. Did anyone "think'' they knew what bub was only to be completely wrong? i just can't help it every time i think of bub i think boy... i also instincitively go towards plain blues, browns, cream colours when bub shopping instead of my usual red/pink pretty patterns... BUT i would love either colour so long as it gets here safe and sound.
stay well girls.

Hi All,
Just wanted to jump in and touch base with you all. I think of you all often and follow your progress keenly. Life with Jasmine is amazing... everything I thought it would be and more. I have to say that the first 6 weeks are a bit of a blur, but Jasmine is 12 weeks today and we are really starting to get into a nice routine. In fact for the first time ever she slept for 8 1/2 hours last night! WOW... hope that is the beginning of something. Just wanted to let you know what you all have to look forward to. It is so easy for us IVF girls to be so focussed on getting that BFP that we don't dare to look any further ahead (at least that is what happened for me). And then once you have that BFP you don't look any further ahead than the first 12 weeks. Once that is up, you just focus on the pregnancy... I guess it is a protection mechanism from all the effort that it took to get here in the first place. I won't sugar coat it - it is tiring work and a real adjustment. But every time I look into my little girls eyes I am lost in amazement that she is actually my baby. I thank her every day for choosing me as her mummy. Watching her grow is incredible... every little milestone is like winning an olympic gold medal.
Enjoy your pregnancies ladies and just think soon you will be doing exactly what I am - staring into your little ones eyes and thinking that you are the luckiest person on the planet.
I just wanted to also send a big congrats to Saph and BDT - I am so glad that you are both in here, we have shared some of our earlier journeys together and you both truely deserve this happiness.
Lots of belly rubs to all of you.
Janie and Jasmine xxx

Well thanks for the replies. I am still waiting to get my AF i just keep waiting for them to tell me sorry we got it all wrong. My BB were so sore today I had to go to the bathrpoom at work and readjust myself to get more comfortable. I think once I get past the scan I will be okay. A week and a bit. Dont actually have a date yet but it will be sometime in the week of the 6th of July. I am actually S@%Tting myself over this one.
HCG was at 808 today so it seems to be doubling nicely. It was 313 3 days ago.
Asked nurse about the runs she said it could be the iron in the elivit or the progesterone some people it clogs up I am one of the lucky ones who gets the runs. Only seven more weeks and I can stop.
Sorry no personals DS is having a screamin fit in the other room.

Hello,
so many to answer but I am sick and just checking in. Just a quick one for Janie...very, very moving and so lovely to hear from you about Jasmine (I can't get enough of that name). I have been thinking about you and the other girls and life after the birth. I even wonder how the nappies are working out for you, feeding, sleeping and all that reality stuff. It used to be so exciting thinking of nappies brand new in shops, but thinking of them full of newborn poos...hee hee, talk about not sugar coating, but as you say, we tend to not really look ahead to the reality of it all.
Quick one for BabyDreamtime. I remember you too and stumbled across your pregnancy announcement yesterday. I hoped you would join us soon. I got goosebumps for you, what a huge journey you've been on!!! I really hope you can enjoy these first days and weeks. Allow yourself to dream, we are all proof it can happen!:wiggle: As for joining early, good on you. I remember Grub coming in really early and she has been an awesome inspiration. Now look at her go!
Nice one Grub. Hope you are having fun. I've changed my ideas a bit and got a bit of the shopping bug for wanting a few nice new things rather than all of my sister's hand me downs (not that I won't accept most of it gladly). there is a really cool highchair, (that does up to 5 years old) which I'm flirting with and also the free standing baby hammocks that I love.
I'll come back through the day for more chats. So bored being sick:spit::cold::asleep:

 BD oh sweety congrats im so happy for you xxoo
hi girls ,going ok been very sick with m/s can keep my head out of a bucket lol..

hi everyone
I've been MIA for ages with this pelvis thing, but I'm vastly improved finally, so can actually sit at my computer for a reasonable period of time.
So much has happened - I doubt I'll be able to catch up! But I wanted to welcome Saph and BDT. So exciting! Wishing you long and healthy pregs.
BDT, I remember when we saw two sacs at our early scan, and even though I knew it was a distinct possibility, I was still floored. It's wonderful in fact. I feel doubly lucky to be having twins. There are a few of us here now with twins in there :)
Smithy and Murph - hope you're feeling better.
Grub - I was convinced that I was having girls. At least one girl. C.O.N.V.I.N.C.E.D. No doubt in my mind. Wrong. Two boys. I was totally surprised.
Neptune, I'm using a body pillow and finding it really helpful. I tuck the middle of it between my knees and pull the back up behind me and kind of prop it slightly under my left hip. This keeps me from rolling onto my back and takes the pressure of my right side, which is where my pelvis has slipped. I just bought one from Big W for about $30 and it's absolutely fine.
Bella - the kicking with two is indeed very interesting.... It seems to really crank up a notch at about 2am. My boys already know how to party! What is totally bizarre is that I think I can actually tell which one is kicking. The lower twin is way more active. And the upper twin is a bit more leisurely. A little kick here and there. Nothing too much. If they are still in the same position as they were at our 19 week scan, then the top one is all stretched out having a lovely time and the underneath one is totally squashed and kicking his brother out of the way. Hilarious. But a tiny bit creepy too - my skin jumps out - like a big muscle twitch that you sometimes see in your leg or hand. So so weird.
Big hellos to everyone else - I'll try to catch up with everyone over the next couple of days.
Have a lovely weekend.
Jen

Hello,
Grub - DH and I thought we where having a boy, and were so convinced that we had to find out the sex at the 20 wk scan to make sure as we were both sure that we would be disappointed if we found out that it was a girl. Even though I thought we were having a boy, sometimes I the word 'girl' would pop into my head causing me great doubts! Anyway, scan showed a boy and we could both breath a sigh of relief -not that we would have minded a girl, but we were both so convinced that it was a boy! I knew that I could not wait till the birth to find out as I think I would have been heading for a bout of serious blues if it had been a girl after so much thinking it was a boy!
To everyone else - hello, take care and will try and pop in over the weekend to catch up more.
-
Grub I wont finish work unitl January :( we are retendering for our service and I'm kinda hoping to keep going until I can't move or my ob makes me stop. I will probably work from home alot, but I just feel terrible for leaving them in the lurch. I'm only having 3 months off then a complicated web of part time mum dad and nana. it all comes together. Looks like you're a bargain hunter, I haven't really looked yet but I'm a shop oholic and can't wait to start.
Saph the runs is no nicer than what I have BLOCK. hopefully it settles down. how long you on proggesterone for? only 3 more weeks for me
Murph I hope you're feeling better soon
Smithy in a bucket really? oh that really sux. Minties are my saviour. Hope you find something soon.
YAYAYAYA day off today. Two week break from teaching :leap: I'm taking my 20month nephew swimming (with back up) Got into my swimmers today and I actually look good. Maybe my gym work dispite MS is actually helping. I'm looking forward to a baby bump but would like to get rid of all other bumps, eventually.
Doing alot of reflection at the moment, I've decided to go full guns next term taking on half day Friday Teaching and Saturdays for a term as well as 4 days as the manager for a shelter, then back right off. My boss is back from OS on the 20/7 and I want to tell her first then work out the paperwork, I am nervous she'll be angrey as I only started in March but hopeful I've done enough good work to carry me through, even if it's unpaid leave I don't mind.
Oh is anyone else having very bad nightmares and vivid dreams? Mine are freaky.
-

afm, all's well. like some other ladies in here, i am blessed with a little baby boy who kicks, turns and squrims all day long! i love it and feel very lucky as it is very reassuring.
hope you all have great weekends.

BDT I remember you from last year in the 2WW its so good to see you in here. 2 little sacs did you get 2 transfered? There are alot of twin mummies to be in here so don't be afraid to ask heaps of questions. When I found out it was twins first I felt shocked, excited, scared then excited again:lol: hope everything goes well for you and can't wait to hear about your next scan.
Saph keep your head up I know the first couple of months are nerv racking and your constintly thinking if AF is around the corner. Those number are great .
