Oh Theresep  :comfort:  I am so sorry. I had a MC at 5 weeks last time, it sis so heart breaking. Please keep in touch.
Grub I'm in the same tired place. Swine flu, well my company has a policy because we house young mums and pregnant women (high risk). But mainly lots of washing hands and keeping at a good distance from anyone looking sick. Not much else we can do. Bit scary.
Kaydee I totally think safety in numbers, my exec is a big lady I'll hide behind her.
BabyDreamtime and other twins mums can I ask a question? I want to know do you look more pg in the beginning with twins? One of my friends looks so pg at only 3 months. Doesn't know one or two yet.
31Becc all the waiting is nuts. But I'm sure it's worth it.
KellyD how exciting I want one. But I"m wondering if you can fuzz out the pink/blue bit. I really want a surprise (secretly hoping for pink). I might have to ask my OB. What a wonderful momento.
I survived a mega meeting with VIP's thank goodness, my boss the emotional one is sick and was NO help so I ran the show and did a great job, even if I do say so myself. There was onlly suposed to be 14 people but 22 arrived. I slightly paniced and managed to squeeze them in. And it was pretty cool to pull off. I was awake at 4.25am and didn't sleep so now I'm slightly light headed and ditsy.
oh sweet theresep big hugs for you. take care of yourself. i'm so so sorry it didn't work out for you this time love. hope to see you back here soon. oxoxo
Oh Theresep I am so sorry to hear that sweetie. You are correct in keeping up the hope. When I mc at 6 weeks with our 1st IVF cycle I took it as a positive, at least I knew I could fall preg and that gave me something to hold onto for the future. Take care of yourself. Hugs
Thanks to everyone else for the well wishes. I too am tired.
I am seeing my Dr tom and have planned to ask about swine flu precautions while I am there as yes it does sound trickier for preg mums. I'll let you know if he has any extra ideas.
KelyD: Wow that scan sound great. How lovely to see your little lady. What a fantastic experience.
Greenslw: Yeah for doing so well in the mtg. Hope you manage to get a better sleep tonight. Have you spoken to the big boss yet? I am sure she'll be happy for you. I am on maternity leave at the moment and I'll have to go in when we reach the magic 3 month mark and ask for another year!!!
Grub17: Yes the counting has just begun. I don't have my first scan until week 8 so have to wait another 3 weeks. Then count til ob, then next scan. It is endless, but fun too.
Jenc77: Yeah on reaching 3rd trimester.
31bec: Yes this preg is going to make us more paitent as it is one long waiting game, but with some great experiences along the way.
Better go as DH has jst finished making dinner.
Take care everyone:D
theresep i am so sorry for your loss. Take some time to ge3t over this and look forward to the future.
31becc I just wanted to let you know that my numbers in the beginning were very low and did not double like they should to start off with. And look we are now 9 and a bit weeks with a bub with a very strong heart beat. Everyone keep telling me to try and relax I know it is hard but but try but to be honest I dont think I slept until after our 7 week scan.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Will probably be laying low for the next few weeks as back to work and doing a course for the next 4 weeks.
Theresep, so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself and hope your next cycle brings you some good news once again.
Greenslw, congrats on surviving your mega meeting.
Kelly, your description of your little girl was beautiful. It's amazing to see their features in a 4D scan. So very exciting for you and DH.
Hi to all the other lovelies in here.
AFM, off to have blood tests and a re-test of urine and BP today after Monday's appt that showed some protein in my urine. I'll keep you posted.
Have a great day!
Hi All,
I am sorry I have only just noticed this thread. I am currently 19weeks almost at halfway. I have been in my due date group thread but have just noticed there are a few names I recall from the LTTTC thread.
My journey so far has been pretty good. I had minimal bleeding at 5 and 7 weeks which was scary but everything is progressing nicely now.
We have baby #1 on board following our 4th IVF attempt. I had some slight morning sickness and afternoon sickness but nothing that was too bad. I am feeling awesome at the moment the best I have felt in a long long long time. I think Pregnancy agrees with me.
My Due Date is 11 December 2009.
I had my 19-20 week scan on Saturday and everything is going well, bub is measuring a little bigger but they said nothing too worry about at this stage. We also decided to keep the sex a surprise.
Sorry for no personals, I look forward to hearing everyone's stories and experiencing the journey we will all take.
:bellyrubs: to everyone

LANIWANTSABABY= yay welcome to this thread hunny you are more than welcome sounds like all is going well for you
Hello everyone,
wow! It's going to be a full time job to keep up with everyone. We are exploding in here.
Congrats and :welcome: to Sammiejam, Babydreams, 31becc and Laniwantsababy...phew...did I get you all in? In case you don't know, on the first page of each new thread, I add the details of the estimated due dates and a bit of fun stuff (like if it's boy or girl and if you have a name or nickname for the bub when you get further along). Lani, I will add your EDD, and after your scans, if the other girls want to let me know your EDDs, I'll add them too. Exciting times ahead for all of you and I look forward to sharing.
theresep, such sad news for you and we are all really feeling for you right now. It is great that you got this far and you know you can do it again. It was very early days and it really is a miracle that these little embies sometimes hang on. I really hope you are back again in October. All the best for those levels going down quickly and for your recovery:hug:
Kaydee, thankyou for the info on your scans, that cleared things up with the twins needing more than singletons:D. I have been wanting to find out about 4D scans but dropped it. that is until KellyD....that is such an amazing description. I want to do it as a surprise for DH but do have to have a reason or can you kind of do it just because iykwim?
Grub, I have one word for you....Noooooooo!!!!! (you can't leave and go to another forum, you're stuck with us.)
Hello to everyone (Smithy, hope you are not too ill, Azz, hope the twins are playing nice, jenc, hope you are recovering from those aches and pains and look forward to hearing all is okay with your levels, BDT, welcome back, love how prepared you are with your names list. By the way I've gone with a grandparent middle name too. I got lucky with DH having a lovely simple Lucy, so our girl is Jasmine Lucy (Jazzy Lu). My Nana was Alma Ivy...hmm, not much to play with there. I can't mention you all, but will write again soon.
AFM, all is on track, still no preggas comments other than "some girls just don't show at all do they?" Grrrrmmphh. It's time to get out the skin tight leotard and tights hey? Meanwhile, believe me, I'm getting feckin huge!!!! Ah well, it's all relative hey?
Jazzy had an allnight disco lastnight and I didn't get any sleep. I had milo after work at 12.30 and she was dancing til way past 2pm and has gone all day.She kicked so hard that DH felt it (got a kick in the back!) when I cuddled up to him. Oh dear, the boots are on and the big kicks are coming. The softies were good while they lasted.
Missmaggie, how you going...any movement yet...any day now.
Hello to everyone not mentioned.xox
Afternoon girls - so hard to keep up! But will attempt
theresep - sorry to hear the news.
Lani - welcome - I am a newby myself!
Saph, Grub , Greenslw and Babydreams - yeah it is all waiting - luckly my dr is allowing a scan at 6 1/2 weeks - so I only have a bit over a week to wait for that one. Going insane though - as I am not a patient person - I guess I will have to learn!
Babydreams - I too am worried about this swine flu - especially all the procautions being thrown around for pregnant women. Does this mean we shouldn't be even going to a bbq or to shops? I am in the early stages still so am concerned about reacting too much if someone has a cough at work, as I see a fair few clients, as I don't want anyone to know yet. Any suggestions??
SammyJ - I think you are about a month a head of me - at this stage i am due around mid March (but will be confirmed after scan!)
Murph - can't wait for that stage of pregnancy (I bet you were saying that too at this early stage!). You can ad me as mid March 2010 at this stage, should have more details when scanned.
all the best girls.
:clap:oh MURPH your jazzy is sounding sooo cute hun and thanks for thinking of me too sweety.
im verrrrrrry sick i HAVE NOT stopped vomiting all day cant keep a thing down even water icy poles ;) so mum just bought me one of those vitamin waters to try and im sipping it rite now and its going ok plus dh just popped in from work as a suprise and its made me feel better
a big hello to all you beautiful belly growing mummies to be thinking of you all xxoo
Hi Lani nd welcome to our group. You are so far along that you have now jumped the queue from some of our other girls in here. Wewlcome and I will enjoy sharing the second half of your pregnancy with you.
Theresep: So sorry about your loss, a lot of the girls in here have also suffered the same as you (including me with 2 previous m/c) and we all know how you are feeling. Hopefully you will have some time to absorb all that has happened and if you are able to take the positive out of it that you can get pregnant and hopefully you will be back here in October with some more good news.
Murph: The 4D scans are not part of the usual scan process. Not all places do them as yet, so check with the current place that you get your ultrasounds done and hopefully they do them for you. All I needed to provided was a referral from my OB and pay the cost of the scan up front ($190 at my ultrasound clinic), you don't get any rebate back from Medicare as the scan is not classified as "diagnostic" it is just something extra offered for parents wanting something a bit extra. They recommend the best time to have the scans is between 26-32 weeks but supposedly getting done closer to 26 weeks is better while there is still a bit of room in there and the baby is not all squashed up. They also rely on the amniotic fluid around the baby to get the pictures (no full bladder required...yay) so if the baby doesn't have much room and the amniotic fluid has started to drop you don't get as good pictures. I am so happy that we got the scan done and DH & I sat up last night and watched the DVD to see our little girl again, it was great as you miss so much when you are getting the scan done that it is nice to be able to view it again in your own time.
Greenslw: In regards to the 4D scan and the blue/pink bits. I asked the sonographer to check the sex for me and she did this in normal 2d ultrasound not in the 3d version and to be honest I have no idea what she was looking at. She did ask in the beginning if we already knew the sex but it seems that they focus the scan mainly on the face area anyway to make sure that you don't see something if you don't want to.
Smithy: Poor you and your m/s. Hopefully as baby Charlee gets bigger the m/s will start to die down for you and you can feel more normal.
Hi to everyone else.
Getting 28 week bloods done tomorrow. I know a week early but this will ensure the results are back before my ob appt next week. I am just having my Gestational Diabetes test via blood test (thank god, I didn't really want to go through the sweet drink stuff) and I think if the blood result come back high then I will have to do the full test. Seems like ages since I've been needle stuck.... Strange when you think how many times we have blood taken during this whole process.
Kelly, I thought the same thing about having bloods taken today. I sat and watched as the nurse wrote details on the vials of blood thinking how this time last year it was such a common occurance to be checking name, DOB and id details at the clinic. Something you don't miss that's for sure.
Welcome Lani. Best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy.
Murph, you're getting the "not showing" comments... I'm getting the opposite. Today at the shops a little boy looked at me and said in a really loud voice "Look at that Mummy. Her tummy is so fat and big!" You can't help but laugh - Kids just say whatever comes into their minds! It won't be long and you'll pop out. It took me a while with DD to "pop". Love your little girl's middle name.
Hi to all. Hope you're growing well.:bellyrubs:
AFM, re-test of urine today showed only traces of protein so nurse was much happier with that. Still had to have BTs done to rule out pre-eclampsia. Other than that, getting huge. People tend to look at my stomach first then raise their eyes up to meet mine.. Looking forward to growth scans on Friday to check on their sizes.
Hi Ladies just a quick up date for me Twins look fine but they are abit worried still about the fluid levels so have to see a specialist on friday to see what my options are we might not have to do anything but they think it is twin to twin transfusion syndrome which can be dangerous for identical twins 1 option is to drain a bit of fluid from the big babies sac as he has quite alot and hope that it may correct it self but can't really say till Friday but I will keep you in the loop.
Welcome new mummies Sammiejam, Babydreams, 31becc and Laniwantsababy hope I got you all.:dance:
Theresep so sorry to here your news my DH and I were talking about you a couple of days and now I have to tell him your sad news. Thats great your getting back on the horse so to speak please keep popping in letting us know how you go.
oooooh smithy I can only imagine what that would feel like (sucky) hope it goes away soon.
Babydreams, wow you have an interesting conversation to have with your boss. No I have a meeting with big boss next Thursday, But still thinking of telling boss first. Don't want her to feel like I'm going above her. even if she's scary.
Kaydee glad all was well. :D I'm sure your face is important too. Goodluck Friday
Welcome Laniwantababy
Murph all night disco and you can't even have a champagne! must be nice to know Jazzy's ok without a scan though.
Becc I think it's just the middle that is full of waiting. by your third trimester it's 3 then two weeks, can't wait. But I"m glad for not BT weekly.
Smithy, those drinks really helped when I had gastro couldn't stand water. hope it's helping you.
KellyD thanks for the info I"m calling for sure. Also good to know you can forgo the sweet drink. I'm learing so much.
Well update, my assistant KNOWS!!! Could have something to do with the pickle and olive lunch I had yesterday (guess I have cravings) she asked in an inocent voice "are you pregnant" not expecting the huge smile on my face. So it's out a bit, I need to see my boss soon. I do trust her but this just makes me relise it's time.
Have a great day all.
Thank you for all the welcome wishes. It made me feel great.
Smithy have you tried Acupuncture for the MS? I have been told it works great. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Murph- Let's hope Jazzy gets her all night disco's out now and so she doesn't have any when she arrives into the world.
Bec- The waiting does get better. I was always so anxious during the 2ww, and then the 12weeks seemed like forever. Hope it goes quickly for you.
azzrenae- Hope all is ok with the twinnies and everything goes good at the appt tomorrow, :crossfingers: for you.
Greenslw- I also told a girl very early cause I wasn't feeling well and she was questioning me and she said you aren't pregnant are you, and the look on my face must have said it all too. It makes you feel better when someone knows.
Kaydee- Hope all goes well with your BT :crossfingers: for good news.
KellyD- Good luck with your bloods too. I hope I only have the Blood Sugar via blood test I am not looking forward to that drink I had it before I started IVF and it was horrible.
theresep- Sorry for your sad news, my thoughts are with you.
Sorry if I have missed anyone.
:bellyrubs: to all
Hi everyone,
Lani, a big welcome from me too, I remember seeing your posts before, glad you have joined us in here and congrats on being 19 weeks already. Seems so far away for me, and so many milestones to get over.
Greenslw, yay, your news is out, have fun telling everyone. I must admit everyone at my work knew from the get go, they had seen me go through so many IVF cycles, I couldn't help but share, and it was nice to have the support. You also asked about showing with twins, I am 9 weeks and no sign of a baby belly (though there is plenty of 'pizza belly' there :D). There is a slide show for twin gestation on another site I have found, and at the 12 week mark, there is little to no baby bump. Is this your friends first baby? I think second time around you show much quicker as the muscles have been stretched.
Azzrenae, wishing you all the best for Friday, I hope it corrects itself and you don't need any intervention. Thinking of you.
Kaydee, good news re little traces of protein, take care of yourself and fingers crossed all is fine re your BTs. GL for Friday!
KellyD, your 4D scans sounds wonderful, I am really keen to do this evenutally myself. GL to you too for your BTs this week.
Smithy, poor sweet thing, bring on 12 weeks and hope your MS settles down. I am constantly nauseous but not vomiting. I have heard acupunture is good to, but I have totally maxed out my HCF rebate for acupunture this year already, and just can't afford the $ at the moment.
Bec, thinking about swin flu too, I am travelling to Darwin and Canberra in August, and must admit I am thinking of using a mask on the plane, I would rather be safe than sorry and don't care if I look like a bit of a dag. GL with your coming 6.5 week scan, how exciting.
Murph, Jazzy Lu is gorgeous :D. I too am keen to get to the stage where I can where tighter clothes and it is obvious I am pregnant, my belly definately has a bit of a pouch, but it is all fat, I can feel my abs underneath still flat. So I am kind of in limbo, I am so excited, I just want it to be obvious if that makes sense. Ahh, a while to wait yet.
Saph, I missed you in my last post, I am guilty of really long posts, and have set a limit on how many pages I am allowed to go back lol. Glad to hear you are well, and look forward to hearing you news as you get to your 12 week scan, I'm right behind you sister!
Grub, sorry to hear you are so tired, I must admit I am really hoping that the 2nd trimester is so much better, I hope you feel better soon.
Babydreams, hi to you and welcome again.
Theresep, so sorry to hear you news, wishing you all the best and hope for success for you for your next cycle.
Jen, congrats on third trimester. I guess no matter what size you are you need a thick skin when pregnant, funny how everyone feels free to comment. I got told by a work friend yesterday that she would really see the weight gain in my face :wtf: I have put on all of 2kgs since I started stims 9 weeks ago.
Hi to everyone I have missed, I am limiting myself on the length of my posts.
I am tracking along ok, still struggling with the MS, I must admit it is pretty bad, and as I am not vomiting, there is no real relief, I am so happy to be UTD but this is making it hard to feel good. The only time I don't feel sick is when I am eating, as soon as I stop, it comes back, now I am worried about weight gain lol. I had always found I added a kg or two when doing a stim cycle, then would get rid of it in the break cycle, but obviously this time there was no break , it is still there :wall:.
I am slowly weaning myself of the prednisone now, and hope to be off completly by 12 weeks. My OB has said he wants me to stay on daily injections of Clexane until 34 weeks at least, which I am happy about, better to be safe, but my belly is looking a little battered and bruised. I have done no exercise at all but am thinking about going with a friend to the public pool to swim. Might need to get myself a spray tan and a tankini, though she has reminded me it is 'COUNCIL BABY, nobody cares .
Love and best wishes to you all xx
PS. this is totally random and a little silly, but I am thinking of changing my ticker so the colours match my avy, any thoughts lol?
Hi ladies
Theresp - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope we'll see you in here again soon.
Welcome Lani. You sound very blissfully content :)
Kaydee - how did your test go? Fingers crossed for you there's no pre-ecl.
Murph - Jazzy sounds very cute indeed. Not so much for you I suppose - kind of what to be asleep generally at 2am. But it's still so miraculous isn't it.
KellyD -scan sounds amazing! I'm glad you could experience something so special.
Hi to all you other lovelies too.
I got my glucose and blood results back and all good. Glucose tolerance is fine, antibodies are fine, and iron is ever so slightly low, but nothing to worry about. Yay!
I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but the glucose drink was really not that bad! It wasn't orange flavoured - it was just like lemonade that's gone a bit flat. It wasn't even that much sweeter than normal lemonade (maybe I just have a sweet tooth.!!)
Have 28 wk growth and well-being scan next Wed, and can't wait. I just love seeing them squirm around up there on the screen. We always get suckered in to buying the 4D video. Can't help myself *blush*.
Jenxx
BDT - we must have posted at the same time! Sorry to hear about your MS - you too Smithy. Just think "This too will pass" - that's sometimes the only way to deal with unpleasantness :)
jen
:hug:bdt... oh hun your poor girl i know just how you feel NOT GOOD but like the girls say it will get better  lol.. im to sick to even look at the computer screen today so a big hi to you all and take care xxoo oh and bdt about the ticker go for it darlin your like me and like to match things lol
jenc i bet im the same with the scans i dont rekon i could walk out with out one lol..have fun at your next scan hunny
hi ladies ive been lurking but not posting as i cant really keep up with the thread at the moment!
first of all welcome to all the newbies!
kaydee - i had protein in my wee last appointment too and they took it to pathology and all was fine, apparently its ok to have a small amount.
BDT - i LOVE it when i see IVF'ers fall preg with twins, such irony that some couples have so much trouble TTC then come away with double trouble! im so happy for you!
AFM - i had my biophysical profile done today on the bub and i cannot believe the size of him! he already weighs... wait for it.... 2.5 kilos!!! and measures 34 weeks 1 day and just scraped in under the max threshold for sizing before they talk inductions for 38 weeks or start to get worried. they said he still has approx 2 kilos to put oni in the last 7 weeks! according to the sizing i concieved while i had my period! i dont think so! Now i know why i cant breathe anymore! they said its just genetics, he is in a good position but very squished, im so surprised as i dont look very pregnant compared to the other women ive seen who are only 25 weeks or so, im not complaining though. So all is well with us and will get bloods done at 36 weeks ( MY 36 weeks )for liver function and so on and they said if all is well they will let me go the full 40 weeks. although i have a feeling he may come sooner rather than later. i cant wait til he drops down im so uncomfortable!
hi all.... had our 20 week scan today.. and the big news is...
IT'S A BOY!!!!
so no real surprise there as i had guessed that. but i do like being right :)
there was a small issue with the umbilical artery, or lack thereof. there should be 2 and he only has 1. it's not major but i have to go back for more scans at 32wks to ensure growth is happening properly. We have no other indicators to be worried about and the doc certainly didn't seem overly concered.
spent the arvo buying baby boy outftis... heeheheheheheheh
sorry no persies. pretty tired and still ahve to do dinner.
being a queenslander i never thought i'd be a blues supporter lol.sorry to not contribute any pink!!! oxoxox
:bluecheer::bluecheer: yay for the blue grub
Hi fellow mummies in waiting.
Smithy: Hope that you are feeling better and can manage to keep your fluids up.
grub17: Yeah for your little bundle of blue. Have a blast buying outfits, what a special time. Enjoy!!!
Me+Him+Bub: My goodness what a prediction. I hope that it turns out to be like my scan. I had one in week 30 as I was looking large and the dr came in after the scan and told me, " I hope that you haven't bought too many 000's, you have one large baby there!" I wasn't sure what she meant by large as she didn't explain. So next ob visit he explained that bubs was on 98% percentile and will be way over 10 pound if went full term. Had a c section and ob couldn't believe it, bubs was 7lb 6oz.. His first words were," well that scan was surely wrong, it's a Collingwood 10 pounder." I had no 0000 for him as I was expecting a large bubby. So he was swimming in 000's until we went home. Sorry for long story.
BDT: Hope that MS is getting better.
JenC: Those 4D scans sound great, I haven't seen one before. I can't wait for my first scan. Seeing that heart beat for teh 1st time is so emotional.
Lani: Hello I am in early stages still, 5 1/2 weeks but keeping fingers crossed. You sound as tho you are having a good preg, hope the rest goes as smoothly for you.
Greenslw: How is it now that someone else knows? Good luck with your chat.
Azzrenae: Hope the fluid levels work themselves out. Best wishes for friday.
Kaydee: I am sure it was a relief to have no high protein levels.
KellyD: Hope your bloods went well.
AFM: Well my breasts are soooo sore. This is a good sign but gee it hurts. It reminds me that groover is doing some growing and that's a nice feeling.
To everyone else hope things are going smoothly. I'm off to bed. :D
Babydreams - I too am around the 5 to 5/12 week mark - how exciting - just want the first scan done!
grub - YAY! another little boy! its nice to be able to go out and buy blue
babydreams - Your story was a good insight for me, im not worried at all, if he is big he is big, il just get a mixture of clothes sizes i guess! the thing is i dont feel like he is that huge inside me if i lie on my back i dont look pregnant at all! although now i know why i need to pee every 10 minutes!
murph - i forgot to say you are so sweet! being proud of me! i was touched :) your a gem!
to the other ladies with MS i feel soooo sorry for you i know how awful it is :( i vomited yesterday morning and am very close to doing it right now and its the WORST!!! but remember even if it lasts the whole time like me it will be over in ONLY 9 months!
AFM- I WANT TO SEE MY BABY NOW!!!! for the first time in this pregnancy i can say i am excited! although now im fearing stillbirth :( i dont know why it just keeps popping up around me through stories and cases at uni and im a bit scared, but I feel things should be ok. At the scan yesterday my DF asked the scan lady "is he breathing" and she said um they dont breathe in the womb! haha i said he means is it alive! poor little worried dumb DF.
Hi Everyone
Grub: Congrats on your Blue bundle. I think my little girl and Murph's Jazzy are going to be lonely in here for some time....
MHB: Well it certainly seems you have a big one in there, hopefully that means he will be a big strong boy when he does come out.
AFM: Well I was informed incorrectly about the GD test, I had to have the drink although I only had to do the hour test. The drink that I has was like a Carbonated Lime drink and just a bit sweeter than normal so was o.k to get down. The only trouble I had was drinking it all in 5 minutes. So had to sit a pathology for an hour for the glucose to get into my system (how boring) and baby was kicking up a storm the whole time from the sugar hit. When the time came for me to then have my bloods done, no vein to be found. They were poking and prodding and after the 3rd attempt got a small vein and as they were drawing the blood good old me decided to "Faint". When I came around I had about 4 pathology nurses all fussing and they made me lay down for about 15 minutes and call DH to come get me. Luckily DH works across the road from the Pathology so he was there in no time. I think the fainting was from a combination of things though, 1. is that the baby moved from tranverse to head down that morning which was quite uncomfortable 2. I didn't get great sleep the night before as for the past 2 nights she has decided what fun to have her own dance party for over 2 hours both times 3. Glucose overload and 4. Stabbing me numerous times to get the blood.
Luckily for me they said that they managed to draw enough blood for the tests to be run and I wouldn't have to go back for them to get some more but will just need to let my OB know what happened so he can make sure nothing else was wrong. At least baby was fine as she has been back to her normal kicking & punching routine.
Anyway, after that drama I ventured to the Target Toy Sale and got some good bargains on Nursery Toys which I have put on Layby for Christmas. I probably could have got them straight away but it is all about trying to find room for them, but at least she will have some presents from Santa under the Xmas Tree this year.
I'm sorry such I long me post, just wanted to fill you all in... Oh, at least one positive thing.... We have hit the 3rd Trimester today, bizarre to think that in 10 weeks time we will be classified as Full Term and that our little girl will be here somewhere in the next 10-13 weeks.
Just remembered, one more thing... For all you girls worried about how big you are... Everytime I now go into a shop I always get asked "When are you due?" and when I say end of October, people look shocked and then the next question... "Are you having 1 or 2?" When I say only 1, the response has been... "You must have one big one in there" or "I thought you were going to say you were due in the next few weeks". Just goes to show, I have only put on 6kg in total so far and it is not my fault if bubs wants to be all out in front as from the back you still can't tell that I'm pregnant.
GrubCongratulations on :bluecheer::stork-boy::bluecheer:
KellyD wow only 10 weeks that does sound quick, Glad your tests went off ok. Still don't like the sound of the sweet stuff though.
Oh MHB  not long to go, I have those lingering feers too, sending you lots of healthy possitive vibes. p.s. my mum's name is Lydia I love that name
Becc well done on your milestone
Babydreams thanks for your goodluck I know I"ll need it. Maybe Tuesday.
JenC glad all is fine with glocose. Goodluck for wednesday.
BabyDreaming I think matching ticker would be nice, I'm a very visual person. I put on 600g in 5 weeks but that's ok, just keep an eye on it. Hard to be healthy when you've got ms. I'm almost in tripple digits. OMG. Oh well not the time to panic. It was my friends second bubs so maybe that's it.
Laniwantsababy, I do feel better but alot of pressure to tell my boss before my assistants gussing gives it away. She's a natural mother and would have had 10 if not for women's issues (she has three though)
ATM: off to work, Bummer, I really will slow down next term only one extra day. Trying to curb my carbs as ms is leaving me which is hard but I'm going to take the challange as I don't want to be much heavier than I am. Helped DSS with his homework till 11pm last night, I hope the teacher doesn't realise it's me doing the work (well the tidying up) He really needed another point of view got a D for something he really should have passed last term and his confidence is low.
Good afternoon girls,
Sorry I havent posted in awhile, have just been lurking and reading up on everyones progress :D
A BIG hello and WELCOME to 31Bec, Babydreams, Sammiejam and Laniwants a baby! Great to see so many new faces in here. Hope you enjoy the thread :D
Theresep - Im so sorry to hear of your loss  You have such a positive attitude. Hope to see you back in here soon. Take care.
Jen - Congrats on reaching your 3rd trimester!!!! Your on the home straight now
CONGRATS to Grub and Twomums on your BLUE bundles. Im caught in the middle now between both your blue bundles and Murph and Kelly's pink bundles!!!
Kelly - How EXCITING hearing about your 4D scan, it must of been amazing seeing your little girls face. Thats not good that you fainted during you GD test. I had to have one earlier on in my pregnancy and they too had trouble getting blood. Hope the results come back favourably.
Murph - LOVE your description of Jazzy's "all night disco" hehe Not good that she's keeping you awake at night. Im struggling already with having to get up to go to the loo and getting comfy let alone a "disco" inside, lol
Kaydee - glad your re-test was all fine.
BDT and Smithy - hope your MS have settled down for you. Its not a very nice feeling. I only vomited once luckily but I felt nauseous alot which isnt very pleasant. Take care
Azzrenae - thinking of you and hope all goes well today.
Greenslw - you do really need to slow down! Take care.
:hello: to everyone else :D
AFM, I have FINALLY started feeling some movement, not much and not all the time but definately SOMETHING :D I just hope bubs doesnt decide to keep me awake at night! Im struggling in the mornings getting up for work as it is, lol I hit the Target Toy sale yesterday too and have some pressies for bubs for Christmas. My future SIL and MIL went shopping too as did my mum so am sure bubs is going to be VERY spoilt!
Have a great weekend all.
Take care,
Tania
Just time for a quickie, I've just been reading all your posts...wow so many. It's great!
Congrats Grub on your little boy. I really felt the bonding begin instantly when we knew what we were having. I know people like the surprise element too but this way it's like you are half way there getting to know your little guy from now til you meet him. fantastic for you.
MissMagpie, I have news for you and it's all pink! Lol. I accidentally put your details in the EDD that you were having a girl and now I think it's an omen. I removed it but thought you would like the slip up. I know you are wanting a boy so hope it goes your way, but I think it's time for a bit more of a feminine touch.
Oh...just quickly, my gorgeous nappies arrived in the mail today...so cute tots bots bamboozle fitted nappies. Soooo soft and lovely. They're not the bees knees at keeping everything in and still need covers but I just love natural fibres and don't mind a few soggy bums around the home. We'll use other types like pea pods and others as well but I love the old style terry towel and these are an updated version.
Back later. xoxox
BEC31: I can't wait for my scan either but my clinic has me down for 8 1/2 weeks!! I just want to see that heartbeat. May call and see if they've had any cancellations and try to get in during week 7.
Hi to everyone else, have to go and make dinner as DH cooked last night and it's my turn tonight. Wishing you all a great weekend. :D
Azzrenae, hope your appt yesterday gave you some answers about fluid levels and everything is ok. Thinking of you.
Greenslw, pickles and olives... my god, you are in trouble with the cravings aren't you!?! Good that someone at work knows, makes the next one easier and the ones after that even easier to tell.
BDT, poor thing with MS. Hope it goes soon and you're feeling better. I'm with you on the colour matching thing with avvy and ticker. :D
Jen, glad Glucose test came back all clear. I didn't find the drink too bad either, it was just that it was on an empty stomach which made it hard to keep down. Yay for your 28wk scan next Wednesday. Hope you get a good look at your little boys.
Smithy, hope your MS goes soon too. Hard to cope with everyday things when you're feeling so yuck.
MHB, you're cooking a big one in there! Hope your nursing placement is going well.
Grub, congrats on your blue bundle in the oven. :bluecheer: Very exciting to be buying little outfits.
Kelly, congrats on hitting 3rd trimester! You certainly had an eventful day yesterday. Hope you're feeling ok after it all. When I had my glucose test done the nurse was checking on me every 10 minutes or so, I'd say they have a few women who feel unwell after the sugar hit. Yay for bargains at the toy sale!
Miss M, great news you have started to feel movement. Over the next few weeks, you'll be surprised just how much your little one squirms around in there! Christmas is going to be exciting this year with so many of us having new little bubs to share it with.
Murph, for your nappies. It's the little things that get us excited!! We've gone with disposables because I don't think we'll have time to wash nappies in amongst looking after twins and DD.
:hello: Babydreams, 31becc, Lani. Hope you're all feeling well.
AFM, scan yesterday showed 2 good sized bubs. Both are just under 3kg.. 2 weeks to go! They're looking a little squashed in there. I can't wait to meet them! Starting to get a waddle - it must be really bad for me to feel like I'm waddling!!
Enjoy your Saturday! :D
kaydee - wow i cant imagine the pressure on your bladder mines bad enough! your doing so well 36 weeks!!!
AFM - my DF's ex who has been giving us trouble through our entire relationship just started up again, she added him on facebook and even his sister to get to him, so i accepted just to sus out whats going on and i read her profile and it turns out her bf lost his job, has no money and she now has a baby and no where to live, obviously she is trying her hardest to squeeze her way back into DF's life to MOOCH!!! like she did the first time! its really stressing me out i told her to leave us alone as we have a happy life and left it at that, the last time about a year ago she gave us this story that she left him with no goodbye because she was actually pregnant to him and didnt think it was fair for him to raise a child at only 19 and then had an abortion without telling him and that she couldnt have kids ever again coz of the botched job and she wanted him to come see the ultrasoun pics bla bla bla and this upset DF so much as we never knew if it was true or not, although it turned out his sperm was DUD! and they were only together 2 months so it seems unlikely to me as it took us 2 years! but we will never know! anyway sorry for the rant! prob the wrong place but im fuming right now!
Hi! I thought I'll jump on the bandwagon here. The bun is almost 12 weeks now. I've just been able to pick up a doppler signal in the last 7 days, a friend gave me her doppler, so now I'm checking bubby's heartbeat every night. :D We had a hairy time, I was bleeding for 2-3 weeks, and after losing Frosty last cycle at 6 weeks, I've had many sleepless night waiting for the morning to ring the FS to scan me, which he kindly obliged, even on a Sunday morning. For weeks when I didn't have nausea I worried, and microanalysed the panty liner and those damn crinone clumps. Hooray I've come to the end of the 10 weeks of Crinone, and now 2 weeks without progesterone support and bubby is still hanging on.
Frosty's Mum So cool But I think I'd do it all day so glad I don't have one. Must be soo great though
OH MHB what a pain in the preverbial. I think facebook has alot to answer for it's so easy to keep in touch and cause trouble. Can DF block her and her sister? I would.
Kaydee your waddling! oh so cute. I bet you feel like you're going to pop 2x3kg is is heaps and I bet they are waiting to be away from each other (just a little space anyways) are they Pink and Blue, my brain is mush and I know I should remember but dont.
MissMagpie I did take on your slow down vibe. I do need to say no more. Hopefully when my boss knows I can do this with less guilt. With my teaching job which is casual I'm waiting for my term 4 hours before I say anything. Hide that bump. :leap: for movement that is so cool.
Murph, Funny I was going to buy those nappies too until I babysat my nephews and held a baby with one on. I'm not sure, they do get a little soggy. Maybe a mix is best for me.
ATM just finished DSS's homework with him Yayaya :D last night I rolled over and it was uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach. I really have a mass now.
I'm in the Second Trimester.
Hi and welcome Frosty's Mum. :confetti: Congratulations on your 12 weeks. Coming off progesterone support is a scary step but so glad your little Frosty is here to stay! Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy.
Greenslw, we didn't find out the sexes. Who knows??? Today a complete stranger told me I was carrying a boy. When I told her I was having twins, she says it's got to be 2 boys then. :dunno: We'll know soon enough. Yay for you for 14 weeks! Bit of a bummer having to spend your weekend doing homework though! Hoping it helps DSS when he hands in his homework. ;)
AFM, this week we're working our way towards an ob appt on Wednesday. Everything is ready to go for these little ones but it's becoming so real I'm starting to think about all the loose ends I wanted to have tied up before they arrive. 1 week, 5 days to go!
Hi all sorry no personals you take a few days off and it is impossible to catch up. Had a terrible week back at work one to forget, but at least my boss was very supportive. Please remember when these bundles of joy get to school that teachers are poeple not emotional punching bags. Still feeling sick and beginning to get uncomfortable think i will need to look at maternity pants this week my jeans are getting uncomfortable now.
Hope everyone has a good week. Off for more bloods tomorrow.
Hi ladies,
Hope that you all had a nice weekend. We are building a new house and just came back from seeing the gyprock being put up, lots to look forward too :D
Saph204: Yes teaching can be a rewarding job but sometimes it can seem that you're the punching bag and the easy one to blame. Hang in there. Good luck with the bloods.
Kaydee: How exciting, not long now and you'll know if b1 and b2 are either boys, girls or one of each. Isn't it funny how complete strangers come up to you to give their opinions when they see your belly :p
Greenslw: Hope you got some to rest on the weekend. I'm sure DSS appreciated your help. Best of luck with the chat to the principal on Tues.
Frosty'smum> A big welcome, those 1st couple of months are the toughest. Yeah for reaching your second trimester.
AFM: Well no scan until week 8 1/2 so will just to wait and see if there are one or two bubs on board. Taking it one day at a time.
Have a nice week ladies
