Hi girls, I will come back and check on your personal journey's later, but just wanted to let you know that I just arrived home with my new son Adam.
Adam was born on the 20/10/09 at 607 pm via emergency caesarean following failed induction due to his size and posterior position. He was 4.47 kg (I'm only a small frame!) and he is adorable. So precious, and I love him so much. we have nicknamed him Bruiser due to his size!
All going well, nipples are a bit sore, my advice to all is to let the mw's watch you attach so you don't suffer too much!

:bluecheer::bluecheer::bluecheer: yay neptune on the birth of adam.
congrats hunny xoxox
-
wonderful news neptune!!! so glad you popped in! enjoy your treasure! - i'd love to read your birth story if you get the chance... but for now :hello: bruiser lol.
oxox
ps you have an attentive audience of sponges here - all knowledge/advice greatly accepted ;)

Hi everyone,
Neptune - congrats! Like Grub said any advice or tips are very welcomed!!! Hope everything runs smoothly over the next few important weeks! Take care.
Murph - wow 4 more sleeps! Hope your resting!
Grub - i have carried pretty low all along it's been the pressure which is getting worse if i stand or walk only short distances which really tipped me off to know he had dropped further! But i have been reading apparently a baby can be engaged for weeks before going into labour - which i didn't know i kinda thought they droped then engaged and then you go into labour fairly soon after???
Hello to everyone else - i will be back tom for personnals - sorry!
AFM - We had our baby shower yesterday - it was such a fantastic day but very very tiring!! We were given so many beautiful gifts which i was so excited about. Then today i have finally packed mine and babies bags, cleaned/dusted, rearranged and organised the nursery and completed the finishing touches like hanging mobiles etc. Washed the last of the clothes and wraps! I am so tired and my back is soooooooo sore so time to put my feet up! I kinda feel like i'm ready and counting down - it's such a nice and exciting feeling after the journey to get here!
Take care girls will BBtom
xxBella

Hi neptune, so glad to here you are doing well. Please do tell us your birth story I am very interested to hear. I am still undecided as to just opt for a CS or let them induce me early. Campbell weighed 4150g 2 weeks early and he was posterier. And it hurt like hell. His birth was horrible and he ended up in the NICU because of it. How was your recovery?
Ballet was lovely, not pain free but nice all the same. Another boy how loves music, he went nuts. It was the Australian Ballets production of Swam Lake. Very good.
Well the Nursery is all set up, oh it is so cute. Just need to rewash all the clothes and stuff and we are in business. Beauty thing about having another boy is I already have all the clothes. (Did buy some new clothes I just couldnt resist.)
Hope everyone has a good week. Of To bed now some take the numerous drugs that make me sleep, dont help the pain much well at all really but at least I am sleeping. My daily drug regime
Morning 1xElivit so what we are all taking it.
1x Antibiotic to stop sinisitus coming back so far so good.
2x Nasil sprays for day relief of hayfever and sinisitus.
1x Maxolon Sorry forgot this one half hour before I get up to stop me throwing up.
Night 1x polarmine for night relief of hayfever and sinisitus
2x Endep for pain relief and to make me sleep
Panadol, Panadol and more Panadol like they are lollies, all this and I still cant walk ( and holding my bits for relief gets a bit embarasing all I can do is laugh and hope time flies by.

Congrats Neptune on the arrival of Adam, such a big little boy you had cooking away. Enjoy your special bonding time and I hope that you are recovering well. I'm sure we will catch up in the parenting thread soon.

:hello: my lovelies!
Oh Murph, how exciting! But I agree with grub, who's she going to put sh*t on now? Your banter was always one of the highlights of the day! Wishing you all the :goodluck: in the world for a safe and uncomplicated delivery and can't wait to see your BA!
Lise: :welcome: and wishing you a H & H preg from here on in (and welcome to the undie-checkers club! LOL) The first few weeks are excruciating but it does get better after a while. For me I relaxed a bit after my 2nd US at 10 weeks, when my Cookie started looking like a real baby and I heard that heartbeat. But I think the real relaxation comes once you start to fel kicks, it's a lot easier to reassure yourself then. I wish you good luck and remember we're all here for you and everyone needs to rant and rave every now & then and you will not be judged or ridiculed here!
Smithy: Hiya! Charlie's nursery is looking gorgeous! Hey do ya wanna send Coops down here to help me with mine? I am totally clueless  Hope you're doing all well apart from the MS.
Saph: Sending painkilling vibes your way hun
BDT: Tried your suggestion for oven-cleaning (Luv it by the way) but it was a no-go. Think it might have to wait til Mum comes for her next visit *evil grin* she's such a legend!
Grenslw: Thank you soooo much for the advice RE working away, sounds like a good idea to me, might give it a go! How you doing this week?
A big :grouphug: to everyone else!
AFM: Became a Platinum Member last week and logged on this morning to find I have my avi! Love it! (Thanks a bunch Trillian!)
All good here, although having a little back trouble, think I'm in for a little sciatica but never mind, I've been very lucky so far so can't really complain!
Cookie's kicking away now, seems to like 3am & 3pm best. Of an afternoon I'll drink a glass of OJ and sit back in the recliner and wait and about 15/20mins later we're practicing our breakdancing moves in there. Yesterday I was rubbing my belly and felt a hard little lump poke up (Don't know if it was a foot, elbow, bum or whatever) but when I pressed on it it went away again - cheeky little bugger!
My work situation is improving, I work mainly freelance, I do the occasional HR Contracting and I do a lot of Mystery Shopping too (I'm the company's only consultant in my area so I get pretty regular assignments out of it) as well as doing a lot of volunteer work for my local gym & church, helping with preschoolers music classes, volunteering in the creche and being their bookkeeper & treasurer. Well this morning I'm happy to report they are putting me on their books  and will be officially employed (and paid YAY) to run the creche and in a few weeks I will also take over the teaching of the music classes instead of just helping! All in perfect time, could use the extra cash for all my shopping expeditions and just in time for Xmas too!
Anyway I think I'm giving Murph & Grub a run for their money in the gasbagging stakes so I'll let you all be! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! :loveshower:
-
 hehe BOC your funny hun im sure youll be fine with bubs room GO YOUR AVVY WOOTWOO:dance:
-
Smithy I'm still in shock at the 3rd Trimester and how it popped up so quick :) but tiz good.
Murph:  I guess fashion is out and comfort and baby access is in when you are post baby, Might have to hit best and less myself. GOODLUCK THURSDAY  for smooth transition.
Lise: welcome and congrats how very exciting.
Grub, sorry I'm probably the vague one :) no deffinate date, I'm just hoping it is after bubs arrives, I don't feel like I can say no to work in the first term. So fingers crossed Squeak (baby to be) is early and Tafe is Late :) Hope you enjoy your time with mum
Neptune once again :bluecheer: OMG what a whopper, that was what I was when I was born Glad you are doing ok and Adam is doing great :)
Bella, so exciting about babyshower, mine is on the 5th of Dec, I can't wait. Sounds like your almost there just waiting for T1 and T2 to apear :)
Oh saph and I thought I was rattling? hope it is all working for the best.
BOC I'm doing great, I'm back into the frame of mind that if I can't I wont and things seam to be easier. Funny how I go back to "super woman" when I let my guard down and try and do it all. It is a very consious choice to let things go. Glad I could be of help. Sounds like you're being "super woman" too. when I pushed on a hard bit in my belly the other day I got alot of very quick movement so no more poking the baby for me (unless it's up under my ribs, like sunday). I actually had kicking up on the righ side of my rib cage and punching (I assume) on the left side of my lowwer belly the other day. I wonder how big Squeak is? scarry.
ATM sitting at my desk poking in some salad and really enjoying catching up on all the BB goss, I must do this more often.
Oh did I mention, my rings don't fit anymore! so around my neck they go.
Have a great Monday all

Hi all,
Sorry about my rant yesterday:redface:, was having a really bad day. I have just had a day on the couch today so am feeling a little better.
A little depressed right now ( not really) be trying to work out our budget for next year to see if we can fit in a holiday to phuket for our wedding anniversary. Doesnt look like the budget can stretch that far. Oh well a weekend in our camper trailor will have to do it. Shouldnt complain to much we are doing a adelaide townsville run after the baby is born to show off to the family. so we do get a holiday.
Some persies
Boc - love the avi. By the way you are superwoman and am struggling to cope with 3 days of work and mum for 4 days
Lise - hope your stay here is mmmmm better than mine but at least I am here so I try and keep the complaining to a minimum oh who am I kinding I'll complain with the best of them. Ask all the questions you need between us all someone will know something.
Smithy - hope you are doing well. not to much spewing
Murph - best of luck for 29th let me know how it goes I am considering an elective CS but am scared as it is better the devil you know than the one you dont.
Grub - how you going love.
To any one i have missed hope you are doing great.
Wow I must feel great as I havent done this for a long time, sorry for being a bit self centered but pain tends to do that to you. Not even that sad about not going on holidays. Just trying to stop myself from doing to much because I feel good. My house is a tip but who cares at least I am in less pain today.
Lets hope this works my battery went flat and I had to conect to the power fingers crossed that the babbling stops now.
-
hey saph - don't worry about the house being a tip and very good advice there on not doing too much. I fell into a lot of trouble cos i was trying to work full time and keep house and exercise and do all the things i would normally. even now when i feel good, i do half of what i would normally and still need a rest. It's hard to tho when there is stuff to be done! especially when all you want to do is vacuum... but i haven't done that cos i know it'll kill my back and will be just too much for me! it's awful feeling ussless and is worse without anyone around to do it for you!
so when my mum comes on thurs, she's going to think i live like a pig lol. at least with the floors! But greenslw lovely, there's a message there for you! take it easy on yourself.
as for rants/selfish posts - seriously lovely, i don't remember reading your posts like that. i think you are a champ - doing all this pregnancy thing, while in extra pain and with another little one! it makes me tired just thinking about it!
oh boc i'm so glad we have an heir apparent to the gasbag posts lol. Murph... look what we did! heheehe, kinda feel like a proud parent lol. ;) But i'm so glad your cookie is kicking you. even now the 'nasty' kicks make me smile.
bella, so glad you had a great bub shower, mine is on nov 15 and i'm super excited. thanks for sharing about how you are carrying and its impacts. I've had heaps of sciatica pain and back pain this whole pregnancy and completely understand. the carrying low explanation certainly explains a lot!
hi smithy and all the girls here!
feeling good today... but i did have a 2hr sleep so maybe that helps. Only a few days left at work yiippeeee!!! i'm at the getting way way excited about our new arrival and get giddy when i think how soon it is! i just can't wait!!! and i've realised i still don't believe this is actually happening... we are the ones who can't have kids! who always get BFN - we aren't the 'lucky' ones whose dream comes true!!! and as a result i've been worrying about 'something' bad happening but am trying to put that out of my mind and enjoy all we've been given. I'm so thankful - i know you girls will understand what i mean.
oh, that doesn't mean i'm not going to stop whinging about back pain lol.
:) ooh my darling husband will call me soon so best go! it's the highlight of my day, his phone calls. ox

Hi Girls,
Firstly a BIG HELLO and WELCOME to Lise! Congrats on your BFP  Hope you have a H & H pg. This forum is fantastic. Its been a godsend for us all being able to share our concerns, worries and milestones. Ask as many questions as you need as there are LOTS of terrific girls in here who have been through it.
Grub - YAY to finishing work!!!! Glad you're feeling a little better. I know what you mean about the arrival of our little ones. It seems not long ago we got out BFP and now our due dates are just around the corner
Saph - rant and vent away, thats what we are here for. Thats a bugger about your o/s trip next year but some kind of trip away will be good for you all. Glad your pain is a little better. Take care of yourself.
BOC - LOVE the new Avi :D What great news about your job, that must be such a relief!
Isnt it the best feeling when bubs kicks. I cant get enough of it, hehe I too find cold drinks sets him/her off!!!!
Greenslw - thats a bugger about your rings not fitting but its best to not wear them now rather than having to get them cut off later on. I had to do that with one of my rings which was disappointing but it had to be done.
Bella - glad your baby shower went well and you got spoilt  Good to hear your feeling ready for the arrival of your little ones, it wont be long now!
Murph - just in case Im not online before Thursday, all the very best for the arrival of Jasmine. You did beat me in the end after all, hehe I still remember getting my BFP just after you and have been following your progress ever since as I was only a step behind you. Hope all goes well and look forward to hearing all about it. xx
Hello to everyone else :D
AFM, saw my obstetrician for the last time yesterday before the delivery next week. It all made it so REAL listening to him go through the c/s procedure etc. It all seemed straight forward and Im feeling comfortable about it all. 8 days now and counting!!!! Im more worried about how Im going to go breastfeeding etc than anything else as Ive had 2 big tummy ops so know what the recovery/pain is like. I just hope I will be able to cope with it all. Its all very daunting that the sole responsibility of our baby is with my DP and I. But I have been looking forward to motherhood for so long that the anticipation is killing me! Cant wait to know if I have a pink or blue bundle either :D It doesnt matter which one it is, as long as its healthy.
Take care girls and belly rubs to all.
Tania

 MISSMAGPIE wow 8 days left how exciting

Hiya girls!
How wonderful to read how everyone is going. Its very comforting to find out that I am not the only one who needs to rant every now and again :)
No time to do personals right now as I have to pick up DH but know I am thinking of each and everyone of you.
AFM. Well, it's a BOY!!!!!!!! I was very shocked (as I was convinced I was having a girl) but we are overjoyed. No names yet so any ideas would be most welcome.
Hugs to everyone!
Me.

:bluecheer: yay sammie for the little boy
-
Miss M: Wow only 8 more days left until you meet your bubba. How time has flown, I remember me, Murph and then you all getting our BFP's close together and sharing our pregnancies together as well. Now with Tara being here, Murph having Jazzy on Thursday and you next week I seems unreal that we have all made it into motherhood. I hope everything goes well for your c/s and my recommendation re: b/f and your wound, if you can take a tri-pillow into hospital with you and when you feed place it around your waist and rest bubba on it to feed. It helps to ease any pressure on your wound, plus it raises baby higher to be at a better high to latch on instead of your having to hold the baby higher. Trust me after a while they get quite heavy to hold in one position and once baby has latched on the last thing you want to do is move the baby to get more comfy.
I look forward to hearing your BA and also look forward to sharing your parenting journey on the flip side as well.
-
huge congrats sammie!!!! that's so exciting!!! another blue. lol
ooh miss tania, that is so wonderful! i'm so excited for you love. enjoy your final week of babyfreedom! lol oxox

Hi Ladies,
Remember me? I disappeared for a while, cause MS is so gross that staring at a computer is not fun. But lots of B6 and gluco-support tablets are making me feel a bit better. Now I just need to cope with the fatigue - I'm soooo tired.
Anyway, I've just blogged, in case anyone is interested. I can't seem to link the entry, but it's in the BB Blog section anyway.
I will try and be here more often, but that might be second trimester when I can stay awake for longer than an hour!
:hello: to everyone and congrats on the new bubs.
