Neptune: He is too cute and such a big boy and his blonde fuzz is fantastic. Both DH & I are fair haired and Tara has a mop of dark hair, it seems you and your DH have darker hair and Adam is fair. Just goes to show that you can't pick what they will come out like.
I didn't know you could link Facebook photo's, so here's photo's of Tara at birth

Happy Cup Day..
Allright... I'm going to give the ole persies ago and sorry in advance if I miss anyone..
Lise - Congrats on your BFP.. I hpoe you have a h&h 9 months.. Enjoy it because mine is flying by...
Mitf - Great numbers... Try not to worry too much about symptoms as all I have had is the extreme exhaustion in the first Trimester.. not sick or anything (Please don't hate me everybody)
Congratulations KellyD and Neptune on your gorgeous babies.. how exciting for you..
Smithy - I can't believe you are still so sick Hun... I loved the nursery.. I love butterflys and even have a Tat of one on my "Lower Back".. You have done an awsome job especially being so sick and all...
Grub17 - I hope that you are doing ok with Hubby away.. Sounds like your Mum has been a good distraction and your Sister coming sounds good too... Yum.. Lamb Shanks.. my favourite..
BOC - Big hugs Hun for the Cr@p that you have been going through lately.. I've had a fair bit of stress too and have been worried about it's efffect on Lil Kracker so i bought some Dove body wash and when I have a shower I massage my belly and sing.. My fave is Single ladies at the moment.. DH thinks i'm nuts.. it certainly calms me a little..
Bella55 - You super woman for cleaning behind the couches, You're doing sucha fantastic job keeping your little ones safe but I can only imagine how tiring it much be to have the two bubs to carry around..
Poppyfairy and Saph204 - I will flat out refuse the swine flu vac as there is no way we can know what effect this will have on our unborn chidlers.. We spend so much of PG avoiding food and chemical dangers to our babies and are then asked to inject a foreign body into our bloodstream.. no thanks.. I guess for most of us we will have had our babies before the next flu season rolls around too... saph204.. I hope ypu get some pain relief soon and you can be alittle more comfortable...
Greensl - lol about you skirt... My clothes are already starting to drive me nuts...
Persephone1 - Hi Hun.. I hope that the MS is not hitting you too hard.. take care of you both...
AFM - I have my first appointment at the Gold Coast Birth Centre tomorrow.. I get to meet my midwife and ask heaps of questions... I am so excited... I'm an info horder and I have run out of general info to reasearch and now need a more focused approach with specifics as to what i'm in for and what their policies are (sorry.. I'm a little full on when it comes to how I am planning to birth Lil Kracker).. And I have my next scan on the 23rd of this month and we will find out what colour bundle i'm carrying... Woohoo...
I hope everyone is well and I hope to be able to keep up from here on in... (Sorry if I missed anyone...)

Hi girls,
Just a quick one from me as it is SUPER LATE....oops
Have been flat out trying to get last minute things organised before bubs arrival and tonight we found a brochure that the hospital gave us months ago about cord blood banking so made some last minute enquiries about it and we are now going to try to organise it for tomorrow's delivery! Its for stem cells for bubs just in case it may need it down the track. I wish we had of found the brochure earlier as we now need to call them at 8am to see if we can get it done, then we have to somehow sign a contract, pay for it, contact the OB to let him know we are doing it and all this before delivery at 1.30pm!
OMG!!! ANT we still havent chosen a boys name either....DOH!
Its also nearly 2am and I have to be up at 7am to eat before 7.30am as that is the cut off before I have to start fasting! How did I get myself in this predicament, LOL
I wont have internet access at the hospital unfortunately so you will all have to wait to hear my news when I come home which Im HOPING will be next Monday, otherwise Tuesday.
Take care girls and belly rubs to all :D

 oh mm wishing you all the best hun i hope its wonderful for you .
kelly and neptune ill have a look at your pics as soon as one of my girls can sign me into fb as i dont have it lol. but cant wait to see .
afm going good had my blood sugar checked yesterday as i couldnt stand up with out fainting or having to sit on the floor :shakehead: so had the needle in the finger and its 8.5 should be around the 5 mark  so am very interested to have this glucose test friday to maybe see if ive got gd what do you all think as i dont understand all this stuff ?
-
Goodluck MissMagpie
Not long now... At least all the running around will keep you occupied until the birth... Maybe that will be a good thing... Looking forward to hearing about the birth...
-
Smithy 8.5 seems a tad high for random test but I need to know the full context to make a better judgement. i.e. when had you last eaten and what had you eaten type thing.
The GD test itself is very unreliable and shows alot of false positives IMO providing unecessary stress and angst to a lot of pregnant women. You would get a much more accurate diagnosis if you were able to do home blood glucose monitoring (finger stick tests) say four times a day 2 hours after meals and one fasting one first thing in the morning. if you did this for a week you would have a much more acurate picture of whether GD is likely. A one off random glucose like you did could happen to anyone diabetic or not.
Hope that makes sense....also a level of about 5 would be an expected fasting level not after food.
-
;)hey mel thanks for the reply hun,
i had actually just had a lemonade water icy pole and and was just a randon test i was a bit in shock but you have already made me feel better hun thanks
-
good luck miss mapgie !!!! thinking of you. oxox
-
Thinking of you Miss Magpie!!! :goodluck:
Harry High Pants... ahem I mean Smithy ;): I agree with MelBel, a one off test doesn't really give an accurate idea, I reckon go for the week's testing. Can you hire those monitors? Aren't the GD tests just grand? I had to have them done for IVF & they had to do it twice cause first time the bozos forgot to record my insulin levels :wall:
lilmisshaveachat: Hope your appointment with the birth centre went well. And I agree, some pampering is well overdue! First on my list of people to call this afternoon is my friend (who is a masseuse) for a well-overdue preggy massage! How did you go on the cup yesterday?
Grub: How you hanging in there hun?
KellyD: Tara is gorgeous! And doesn't she look just like her daddy!
Neptune: Adam is such a cutie too! How are you settling in?
Bella: Feeling for you hun, one is hard enough but two... wow you really are a superwoman!
AFM: No wins on the cup but then I never gamble anyway. Wasn't even going to watch the race but DH came home early and switched the TV over.
Had a bit of a scare today. As you know I've been having some troubles and been pretty stressed out lately. And Cookie wasn't kicking the same way as normal. Well since Monday night I have had absolutely no kicks at all. I was trying not to worry about it and gave myself a couple of days, but then early this morning I started getting excruciating cramping pains and it really freaked me out. So I rang my Ob's office and just my luck, she is on leave. So they gave me the number of the other Ob who is covering her and he said to get my butt up to the hospital IMMEDIATELY (yep he actually said that!). It's about a 35/40min drive and was just horrible. So I got in there and they checked me over & then hooked me up to a monitor and checked little cookie out. Everything is ok with baby, although my heart rate and my blood pressure are up a little. They then asked me if something was going on to cause this and I briefly explained and was given strict orders to avoid the people and situations causing me stress becasue I may not be so lucky next time! They wanted to book a follow up in a couple of weeks but I told them I have my next scan & Ob checkup in 2 weeks anyway so they left it at that and wrote it up on my record for my Ob when she gets back. Pheeeeew just glad all is ok and it's all over!
And the replacement obstetrician has now called me back twice more this afternoon just to check that I am still ok and not having any further complications.
After all of this I must say everyone I dealt with today has just been wonderful, and it really reassures me that I've picked the right care!
On the way home I stopped off and picked myself up a doppler, so that in future I can get quicker reassurance. It will be great for DH too, he's seen the heartbeat on the screen at my 7 & 12wk scans but has never heard it (they only turned the volume up at the 10 & 14wks and he wasn't there for those)
Anyway hope you all have a good night, I'm off to fuse my behind to the lounge, OJ in hand and knock over a few more episodes of season 7 BH90210! (Yes, sad I know!)
Oh and PS: Now that Murph is more than likely a Mummy :loveshower: I've offered to take over the due dates list. To our lovely new ladies: If you could please post or PM me your due dates, any nicknames your little bub has and whether or not you will be finding out the sex and I'll add you to the list. Anyone who needs changes done please also do the same.
PPS: Anyone else having trouble with their tickers? Mine seems to have somehow lost a couple of days... did that once before but then righted itself... hmmmm
-
Hey Boc - No win in the sweeps this year which is all I managed to put on... I just wanted to let you know that my little ones nickname is lil Kracker, my EDD is 17th April and we will be checking out it's goodies on the 23rd to make sure we're having a human and whether it's a boy or a girl..lol...
I am so happy with my choice of care.. I had my appointment today at the birth centre and I was so overwhelmed and happy that I started to mist up a little.. Stupid hormones.. My midwife is wonderful and I really like the model of care they have... My midwife visits me at home every day for a week after the birth and then a couple of times a week until 6 weeks.. I was quite impressed by all of this...
Anyway just a quick Hi to everyones as i'm off to pour over my freebies in my bounty bag from my appointment.. It's kind've like a show bag.. Pretty cool...
-
Smithy Harry High Pants  love it.
Grub: no hips here so low riders feel a little unsecure. Glad your mum is spoiling you.
MIF your numbers sound good, I didn't have many symptoms at first either. Tired was there from the beginning too.
Saph, sorry your boss is being a pain, you need time off or you'll go on leave early! I'd threaten!
Lilmisshavachat Hi I started wearing maternity cloths at 22 weeks probably a couple of weeks later than I should have, feel so much better, although there are definatly more comfortable cloths than others!@ how did your appointment go?
BOC baby's movement at 17ish weeks was only when I was still (i didn't notice the rest of the time) few little flutters during a meeting and more at night. Then it seams to get more regular around 20 weeks, Well until 28 weeks then it's non stop for me atm. hope family c**p settles down, you don't need it. Re Post 2: glad cookie is ok  you need a bit of support without the stess. What are you doing for you? for me, I get a nice decafe coffee, paint, go in my garden, or sneek out of work early ( I know not everyone can do that).
Bella how did you scan go? goodluck for tomorrow.
MissMagpie oh you sound so pumpt, hope your pre 7.30 brecky was great. Goodluck :D
ATM little flat, feeling hungrey and don't know what I want for lunch. hehehe. Work is ok, was called in monday :( but it turned out to be a very productive day.
Saturday is my big video taped 2 hour lecture for tafe, little nervous but looking forward to it being over.
OB today and a blood test for sugar levels etc. Fingers crossed.
Squeak is doing so much working out lately, it's been non stop for 2 days (well not really) when I turn in bed, when I sit at the pc for a while when I sit on the couch, whenever I'm still Squeak is on the move. Funny we had a bit of a paturn for a couple of weeks, 730-9am 4.30-5pm and when I was in bed, Squeak likes to kick DF in the back too, gota love it.
Still don't want to know the gender but really can't wait to find out, not long now, oh 9 weeks of work to go (and two days) :leap:
-
woo hoo for 9 weeks of work left greenslw! and lol for kicking DF, good bubby lol. Bluey is kicking up a storm since i had lunch, i think he particularly likes the baked new york cheesecake and cup of tea i'm currently consuming. i'd say oops, but i've given up trying to fight the weight, it's too exhausting.
lilmisshavachat - what a great thing to be able to say - i'm happy with my choices! i'm sure choosing the right care has such a major impact on our overall birth experience.
BOC!!! take it easy woman! that is an order from me!!!! i suspect we are going through the same obst in newcastle lol. wouldn't that be a small world! but seriously, do take care of yourself sweetie - the most important thing atm is your and your baby's health. sounds like you may have to 'cut' your family out for now. I would get DH to ring the main offenders and give them a terrible guilt trip about their behaviour and its impact on others more than themselves. bbrrh i feel so cranky on your behalf! have you tried some relaxation stuff? meditation? soft music? bath? etc ox
afm - i'm going okay. it's been very quiet since mum left on tuesday but i just started a new book series so just trying to wind down from work. it's really difficult, and i'm sure it'll take a few weeks to fully realise ''holy sheeeet!!! i don't have to go to work for at least a year, probably more". lol. But i must admit I put in an admirable effort today - went to the baby shop and got some drapes to match my barnyard theme - even better they were 20% off! and then went to a yummy little cafe for lunch. Me, the newspaper,a chai and a yummy chicken noodle salad - aaahhhh life is good lol. (sorry to all the girls still working or with little ones keeping them super busy... don't mean to rub it in... very much lol)
4 weeks til DH comes home (i counted today lol) he's doing really well, so i'm super proud. but he's worrying about me so i'm trying not to tell him how lonely i am sometimes. but seriously, i'm trying to treasure this quiet time to myself, i know it won't come again for a very long time.
ROFL - fur baby has just ''interogated'' me, the keyboard, and the lounge for evidence of cheesecake. it tickles heeheehee
hope every is having a good week.
-
Thankyou ladies!
Oooh Grub wouldn't it be funny if we were going to the same Ob? We might have even "met" in the waiting room! We will have to chat about this some more.
Thank you for all your lovely kind words. I am feeling so much better today. I made myself sleep in til 9am :) as I wasn't starting til 10:30 today. My manager is the most beautiful, lovely woman and gave me a mini-lecture about not overdoing it and looking after me & Cookie. I'm really looking forward to my next shift tomorrow cause they are all such lovely people to be around.
The family situation kinda looks like it's looking up, one of the people that's been giving me a hard time (the one from my side) actually rang me this morning to apologise, said she didn't realise the impact she was having. I'm really happy about it as we've never really fought before and it really cut me that we weren't speaking. As for the other side, well I don't think anything will ever change there. Although DH sees the light now, he is still going to be involved in their lives which is great, but he's accepted that I'm stepping back and keeping clear of them for a while. It's only fair, I don't need any more hassles and I won't be held responsible for theirs (they have recently found out they are preg too). I just hope they have the common sense & maturity to not drag it all through the mud and involve other family members.
Anyway I had some more stuff to say but baby brain seems to have got the better of me yet again! Oh and I just booked my birthday present, which will then become DH's Christmas surprise and I am so excited I am wiggling! :hooray: But I have to wait for 3 weeks til it happens and I think it will be the longest 3 weeks ever...
So over & out for now, I'm off back up to the hospital again, but not for me this time, one of my besties (who is 6 weeks preg ahead of me) ended up in hospital just hours after me yesterday and is still there with complications from unknown causes. Really worrying as this is the 4th time she's been to hossy. :crossfingers: that everything is ok for her.
Have a great afternoon guys!
