Your doig great hun, you'll get there soon and hopefully all will be running more smoothly for you then :)
Hi to everyone else :grouphug:
Well we are officially settled in! Apart from a few boxes still left in our bedrooms and the babys room we are all unpacked and set up and have been enjoying the added space and wonderfull backyard! Furbaby has been extatic that she can just run around wherever she feels without the lead on and chew up sticks and dead mangoes from our new mangoe tree! hehehe Its amazing seeing her eyes twinkle with such excitement.. shes already made friends and pretended to take on the massive dog next door through the fence.. (even tho shes the size of a enlarged rat!) But it wags its tail at her and licks her through the fence so it doesnt seem to upset by her appearance!
DS is also noticably different since he's had the yard to play in and the extra space to be a toddler and have some fun! Its been like a dream come true, yesterday they were both rolling around together in the grass out the back while I sat in my hammock chair in the shade of the late afternoon.. I just watched him giggling and her bouncing around and playing fetch together and picking flowers and discovering the joys of playing in a flat green grassed lawn between when the sun goes down when its still loverly and light and cool... And another thing ive noticed is doing the washing is like nothing now.. the laundry is right next to the kitchen and all on one level with the clothesline right outside where I am anyway in the late afternoons when I let my two out to play! So since weve been here there has been no build up of washing! Unlike in the run down highset where it was piled to the roof and forgotten in the dank area under the house! We have all our dinners out the front in the private 6ft fenced courtyard yard in a cute little paved area next to more flat grass! Sigh i dont ever want to leave ladies! Cnnot wait to have this little jelly bean now! 21 weeks today! Sorry to rant on I just wanted to share how happy I am with you all :)
So Im starting to get the BH contractions now and realising that I am actually over half way! So me and DH are going shopping after christmas together to get our rocker off layby and get everything else on the list onto one so we can pay it off and have time to grab a few lil extra things before lil one arrives!
Sorry for the lack of persies once again (slack) I will pop on again when I get the chance-=- possibly tomorow and catch up with everyone else on here.. I have been reading up on you all over the last couple of days but just havnt had the chance to post up until now... Hope to hear some good news from grub soon and to the rest of you I will catch up later! Take care ladies <3 Ky

Smithy - that sounds rubbish - hope you feel better soon.
Grub's gone quiet - hopefully that is a good sign!
I've scared myself today looking at pregnancy books, and observing that my 9 week 5 day belly is as big as the one in the book of the skinny Scandic lady who is 5 months. Maybe I need to eat slightly fewer cakes/ ice cream.... :shakehead:
-
Poppyfairy I start washing tomorrow can't wait. :D
:leap: congratulations Lani well done.
Hi KellyD glady you and Tara are well. Maybe pink for me ;)
Grub I can totally understand why you need a rant feel free, it's an impossible situation, I'm still hoping bubs comes over the weekend for you  OMG 4km walk you are determined.
LondonMiss you sound quiet relaxed well done
BabyDreamtime enjoy your last day today SO GOOD, can't wait for mine
Kyrawolfe well done on the move. and it sounds like a much better place for you all. BH already. and congrats on being 1/2 way that's a nice milestone :D
Smithy glad you're ok that is not good at all, what's the instructions for the next 56 days?
Welcome Dusty and well done :leap:
For me I'm on cloud nine, the scan went so well, plecenta is at the back of my uterous and well out the way. Bubs is as big as he/she should be and all the fluid levels were great. I cornered my OB and said "since I've had such a good pg how long will you let me go over?" she said a week, before it was pull the baby out on my EDD. So I feel like i've achieved a bit of a win for me and Squeak.
DH didn't come to the appointment yesterday but came to the scan he was in awe. Funny what made me weepy was seeing the ambilicle cord (spelling) seeing the blood flow and relising that that's my blood. No wonder mums are so special to people. I knew this before of course but seeing it was beautiful.
Bubs is so active doesn't sit still.
So 5 and a bit weeks to go, 4 weeks of work and this weekend I'm decorating the nursary!
Have a great day all :grouphug:

Smithy hope you continue to feel better.
Greenslw what a fantastic result with your scan. Well done. Not long now at all.
Grub, any news?
-
hey high pants dobber, can you send me the link to the whinge about the tickers again. I am NOT ten weeks today... it's tomorrow! And it went straight from 9 wk 3 to 9 wk 5, and I'm not good at maths, but I'm pretty sure there's a 9 week 4 in between traditionally!!! If we speed up a day a week for the rest of the pregnancy, I'll only be about 34 weeks when I drop!!
hope you are all well x

Thanks for the lovely welcome. I was quite nervous to post in here as last pg I made the plunge and then it all went disastrous soon after.
Apologies in advance for the selfish post but ahhhh I am all anxious today and need some reassurance. We had a scan and saw a wriggling Phoenix on Weds, measuring beautifully and my nausea and exploding breasts over the last week were giving me confidence that all was going well (after almost no symptoms). However, the last 2.5 days my breasts seem to have calmed down a significantly (although still large) and the nausea and tiredness has greatly subsided. So now all I can think about is something is going wrong. The symptoms were such a comfort.
Did anyone else experience a reduction of symptoms at 8 weeks or early in the first tri? Its 2.5 weeks until our next scan and I want to be able to enjoy the holiday and Phoenix and stop worrying :wall:
Thanks for listening.
xx

Grub - I hope your quietness is a good sign that things are progressing and we will get the good news soon.
Dusty - I found that I was really exhausted and had tender boobs for about the first 2.5 weeks before it settled down. I never had any major morning sickness and only felt a little nauseas in weeks 8/9. I now occasionally have days were my boobs feel tender but it is not like the constant ache I had at first. I sometimes get a cramping like pain down below which was a bit disconcerting at first but I have been assured it is just the uterus stretching and placenta growing. Everyone is different but I wouldn’t stress about the change in your symptoms. Your body is responding in a way that is right for it.
Smithy - sorry to hear that you have been in hospital. I hope you are feeling much better now.
AFM – We had our 12 week scan yesterday. I was only 11w4d but managed to schedule it a little early before my work Christmas party. The scan was fantastic and snuggles was jumping around a little bit. Snuggles wouldn’t move into the right angle so we ended up being in their for about 40 min. The heartbeat was 169 and we could clearly see 2 little arms and legs. It was great to have that next reassuring scan before I told everyone the news at the Christmas party. My team were very sweet organising morning tea this morning and they gave me a little bootie & beanie set. Things are starting to feel more real and I am looking forward to the Christmas break and starting to do a little nursery shopping.
Sorry I don't have any more time for personals while at work but :bellyrubs: to all.

Dusty - I asked the same question of my GP yesterday as my breasts have stopped hurting (except over speed bumps) and the nausea has diminished. She said that at 8 to ten weeks as the placenta really takes over and the yolk sac ceases to support the baby, the hormones all change, hence the ending of certain first trimester symptoms. She told me not to worry, and to see it as a sign that the limpet is well and truly attaching onto you via the placenta.
Mitf - I'm jealous you got your scan in early. How wonderful to get 40 mins watching snuggles. I've got real baby brain today (been out in tops the wrong way out two days in a row now!) and can't remember if I said this already but I'm off to my work lunch now which is at Melb Acquarium. I'm much more excited about the free entry to see the sharks etc than the lunch : )
-
Dusty - Ditto to what LM said. In fact my breasts didn't start hurting until well into my second trimester. I had quite severe nausea from 6 weeks 4 days which started to abate about 8/9 weeks and was pretty much totally gone by 12 weeks. I stopped all my supporting medication at 10 weeks as the OB and FS said that by that time your placenta is supporting the pregnancy (I did a HRT FET) and this is when I noticed a great drop in my symptoms. It is a difficult time when your symptoms start dying down, but yet it is still too early to feel bubs moving. I think I found that time the hardest in my pregnancy as I too found comfort in my MS. Just remember that everything that you are feeling is totally normal. Your body is doing exactly what it is meant to be doing which is taking over the support of Phoenix from your medication. Soon you will be fully supporting your little one and won't need those yucky pessaries etc. I wish I could help ease your mind further.

Dusty my boobs stopped hurting around 8 weeks and only started again around 32 weeks. I only got nausia with certain foods and situations (lots of smells) and only at night. Hang in there our bodies don't behave EVER. I guess that's part of the fun. You need a time waister? do you read? paint? draw? knit? Do something. I was writing in my journal daily early on. Now I forget  but it was so helpful, I know Grub and I are also painters which helps. Venting is also very good.
Mitf how wonderful to see snuggles moving and arms and legs and a booming heart beet. What a wonderful Christmas gift for you and family :D
LondonMiss what a cool lunch spot!
All Christmas Shopping is now done! :leap: I am so so so so happy. No more mad shopping or thinking!
Oh has anyone got a nice nappy bag yet? I don't like the one's i've seen and don't think I can afford a designer brand. HELP

Hey Dusty...
I never had a moment of morning sickness and haven't really had even sore BB's... and my BB's aren't even that big comparatively but what I did get was the on off tiredness and pure exhaustionin the first 12weeks.. not every day but every couple of days and I just had to believe that it was lil Krackers natural rhythm of growing and resting... I came to enjoy the unpredictableness of nature and feeling that a growth spurt had occurred... Listen to your body and try to enjoy the wonder of nature... Sorry for all the Earth mother stuff but it really has been how I have been feeling... All very Zen... lol...
A quick shout out Good luck Grub... I'm thinking of you...
-
Dusty -=- I wouldnt worry too much.. I know that the signs and symptoms are comforting but there are no rules at all about how much or often or when you should get them.. 9 weeks is supposed to be a very good milestone anyway so if i were you id be celebrating :D
LM-=- Had to laugh at your 9wk5day belly being bigger then the skinny milinky preggos on magazine covers! I swear they just shove pillows up models tops cuz none of them have an inch of fat on there legs or arms or face if it were real youd think theyd be falling over frontways! I had the same thing at 9 weeks I was well ahead in size but now I find myself below average for 21 weeks LOL.. Gotta love the variety of preggy stages!
Grub....................
AFM =- Its so hot today! DS just fell asleep insisting he have a blanket even tho his little head is dripping  so i put the fan on him to cool him off a bit and pulled the blanket off him when he was well and truly passed out.. Finally finished the dregs of my chrissy shopping last night.. It was crazy, driving there I had to avoid 3 stoned/drunk teenage 15 or so looking girls stumbling across the road unaware i was anywhere near them.. about 3 cars doing crazy stunts and acting like ****ers.. then when I got to the mall I could barely move from all the people pushing and shoving and grabbing at things! But luckily all I needed some things for the 2 partys we're having (biscuits, lollies, roast lambs, vegetarian roasts, fruits, drinks etc etc) I think I may have missed a couple of things but at least I wont be fighting for them come christmas eve, ill just pick them up later today when it cools down a bit..
Now I just have to avoid eating all the yummys in the house before the actuall parties! :p
Hope alll are well.. Pop on again soon
<3 Ky

kyra - poor old DS - there's nothing like a child for logic! Super skinny people who are heavily pregnant always bring beetles into my mind, who if they get on their backs can't right themselves. I worry that they might get stuck.... ;)
We're having an early family Christmas dinner tomorrow as we're off to Perth for actual Christmas, and won't have the furbaby with us. Sadly, the idle british postmen are on strike again, and we have very few presents to open. not that I'm a child or anything...

Dusty~ Its hard not to worry when you have already had things go wrong in the past.Me too! I worry all the time and am forever checking to see that my symptoms are still 'there'.I havent hardly had any sickness and my boobs are sore but not as sore as they get before a period. They tend to hurt, first thing when i get up then late at night but not really through the day. I only feel slightly nautious when i smell something and the only 2 strong symptoms i have is extreme tiredness and constant trips to the loo.
I had my first scan last tuesday and had a lovely heartbeat with a good size bub and my ivf specialist said that when a heartbeat is found, your 90% off the way there so the mc rate is only 10%.Thats pretty good,i think. My new pregnancy book i just bought says, however that if your 8 weeks and a heartbeat has been found the chance of a baby at the end of your pregnancy is a massive 97%.
Try not to stress. You probably felt reassured by the scan and didnt think of the symptoms so much, until now, your thinking about it again and starting to worry until the reassurance of the next scan.I felt great about my scan and only 3 days later have started wishing for the next scan in a few weeks to hurry up,so i can be reassured again!
Hope you take it easy.I didnt have any symptoms when i had my son 12 yrs ago.I even had bleeding for 2 weeks so i didnt know i was pg until about 8 weeks.

Hello ladies!
Just wanted to throw a challenge out here! I think I have just experienced the most ridiculous hangover of LTTC anxiety. Can anyone beat me??
OK I am 36 weeks pregnant today. I have a baby that I can feel moving inside me daily for most of the day. My obstetrician and endocrinologist saw me today and were extremely happy with the baby and me. The baby is now 2/5 engaged and I have pubic pain showing I am getting ready for birth.......
However today I am starting to feel what feels like period pain and my boobs are hurting. So what is my first thought?????........................ 'OH NO my period is coming I am not pregnant!!!!!'
Now is that just completely ridiculous or not? LOL!!! LTTC never goes away!!! I have been fighting that thought all day everytime I get a crampy feeling or twinge in the boobs!!! I don't think I will believe fully I was pregnant until the baby is in my arms!
Dusty - sounds like the placenta is taking over! Which is good news! Symptoms are reassuring and it will be hard for you now until you can feel the baby move. I used to get through that time between symptoms and feeling the baby move by looking forward to hearing the heartbeat at my antenatal visits. But those visits were so far apart too!!!
Smithy - Poor you :comfort: Not long to go now....I hope you start to feel better soon.
Kyra - you are brave putting on two parties!!!
Londonmiss - I was massive from about 9-10 weeks as well. At least we get a good amount of wear from our maternity stuff!!!
Mitf - great news about the scan. Next time you won't need to overdose on water though!! Much more comfortable!!
Greenslw- glad everything is going well and you have been given another week. I got downgraded today to midwife care rather than specialist care (although they still won't let me give birth in the birthing centre) because I was also doing well. It is nice when that happens hey?!
Belly rubs everyone!!

Oh gosh!!! Grub!! I didn't forget you!!!
Hope this silence means movement at the station for you!!! I hope you are right in the middle of your hollywood moment!
