Hello all... glad you are all well. Thanks for the answers - really helpful. I feel like I'm getting bigger somedays and some days.... nothing. Odd!
I've found an outlet for my missing red wine - cake baking! I made blueberry friands yesterday. Making Spanish apple cake for lunch with friends tomorrow, and have just starting soaking fruit for Stir up sunday tomorrow. My brother tells me he did his Christmas cake weeks ago
I'm making an effort to eat more fruit based on your recommendations - I've always been quite good at vegetables, but trying to eat more fruit now. I've never ever been able to sleep in the day - and today managed 2.5 hours!! Wonderful weekends.
Anyway, sorry for the me post, just saying hello really and congratulations Bella on your wonderful news (and wonderful names - really lovely).
bella - congratulations x 2 on your boys! wonderful to read about more people who make it through all those months that feel like they're stretching ahead right now:o I hope you get to take them home soon.
sonyalouise - Hi!!! I was following your story in other forum...wow! How are you feeling now m'dear? Did you get another BT? If you've seen any of my posts, you'll see we've had about 6:o .... so far. It certainly is a relatively easy way to see what's going on on the inside. It's amazing what's happening to you though....I had my EPU on the 21st and my single ET on 26th. Do let us know how you go.
kyra - sorry you didn't get the house...but your attitude is very good, enhancing what you have right now. It's hard with furbabies isn't it when renting. We've got 4 (3 when we were renting) and it's frustrating trying to find the right place and one that accepts them.
BOC - happy birthday:clap::dance: hope you enjoyed the aircon!!
Grub - ahhh you're DH sounds like a real sweety...he's obviously a keeper:D
Saph - hope you're feeling a bit better and the sore throat hasn't deterioated into something really unpleasant.
LM - mmmmm they sound yummy, although I seem to be losing my sweet tooth rapidly.
AFM - well DH and I have formulated a plan so hopefully don't have to wait till the 9th for the next scan to see if heartbeat can be found. My wonderful GP has a scanning machine, so we're gonna go see him this week and see if he has any luck. We may get a 7th:o BT too. This has affected DH a fair amount, he's desperate to see that little pulse.
In addition, the morning sickness that appeared last Monday....well it really took a hold the rest of the week. There were a couple of days where it was pretty much constant all day...which is draining. I've not been sick, just nausea. Yesterday - holy dooly, I was in bed twice having naps, I felt rough as and nothing really cut it. Went out with friends for dinner - had been soooo worried as it was for an Indian and we thought we'd have to tell them....but I was absolutely fine the whole night. Wierd. I did have a lot of 'wind' on the way home - burping here, burping there...poor DH!
We're out for breakfast with different friends this morning...fingers crossed I'm just as good. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday...might laze in pool - tried to float yesterday...but couldn't as the motion made me feel worse!
BabyDreamtime :leap: DH has a job well done, funny how the universe gives you what you NEED. excelent. Hope you don't get too stressed in the next 3 weeks. Just do your best then enjoy mat leave
Krikkit lol at your answers well done re sausage roll. Re cramps I had heaps all over my tummy and town my legs till about 20 weeks now it's baby squashing organs pain.
Grub spoke to my boss and I have to come back .8 like I am now :( so hopefully DH can be the same then it will work perfectly if not...... well lets just not think about that keep my eyes on the prize. Love that you and DH have web cam that must help heaps. Not long now Funny about stress re early arrival, DH was on Kangaroo Island this weekend and me at 32 weeks started having a little panic, what if?????? funny although he's not going anymore not until Squeak is out. Not the same as you I know but I think all the hormones are playing with my brain. Hang in there
LondonMiss  sorry for the subliminal message, hay your pg eat what you feel like.:bluecheer: congrats on having a boy
Murph hmmmmmm you might have to share some developmental psychology skills with me or at least a good book. I've been a little slack re what to do when bubs arrives funny all my focus is on getting to that point but it's getting CLOSE. Glad you and family are well
Kyrawolfe hang in there your dream home is around the corner.
BOC so sad you couldn't go to concert, that sux, sometimes being pg is a pain. All those contagious people.
CONGRATULATIONS BELLA
oh saph feel betta soon
Smithy I just notices your new pic near ticker  love it.
ATM just waiting to go to my staff xmas lunch BLAH. DH is giving it a miss as he doesn't want to meet the ppl that make me sad (fair point) and I'm so flat after driving 90mins to pick DH up from the boat this morning.
Yesterday I baught Maternity Pads! they are scary! So I baught some maxi's too. I'm starting to think about my bag and what I need to bring and what I want to bring ;). I think with xmas fast aproaching I want to be organised incase. I was due xmas day but was late so hopefully squeak doesn't think xmas is a good time to arrive. OB appointment Thurs but I don't really know what to ask. Oh and pg classes start Tuesday hopefully that will be insightful 7.30-9.30pm fingers crossed we both stay awake!
yeah my reports are finished. My sore throat has almost gone and left me with a head cold. I can cope with that, hopefully it will be gone in a few days. Hope everyone is doing well.
Airline -=- Gotta love ms.. Its such an ugly time for such a celebrative success isnt it! Everyone is different but if I can offer any hope I picked up "junket tablets" from the dessert isle at the shops and just sucked on them.. They taste awful.. like lumps of salt and cornstarch.. But they actually do work (at least they did for me..) Others Ive heard are powerade, ginger ale and dry crackers.. If all else fails.. I hope it passes soon for you anyway.. Kepp you head up (or down) and it wil pass! Well done for managing to get past Indian food without spilling the news HAHA! I would have barfed at the sight of it! As for the pool well i guess its the best time of year for it.. Being 1000 degrees out there and all :p
Greenslw -=- Maternity pads are scary.. But if all gos well with the birth it actually isnt that bad.. As hard as that is to believe. If you end up tearing the hardesr part is sitting down the first few days LOL... I felt like I was perched on a barbed wire fence..
Saph -=- Headcolds suck during pregnancy.. I had one combined with my morning sickness at around 7 weeks.. and just couldnt take care of my 2yo properly between throwing up and the whole death feeling it brought me lol.. Luckily I have a wonderful GF up the rd who took us both in and helped me out with everything until Dh got home from work during the day. Hope you feel better soon!
AFM -=- DH and his friend have just gone down to cold rock for me.. I have a white chocolate freddo frog and oreo ice cream on order! mmmm lol. The house is clean.. My son is asleep.. It just finished thunderstorming and despite the heat Im feeling quite good atm.. I just know the dream house is around the corner- thanx :) and Ive promised myself we are going to have a great christmas no matter where we are... Planning to buy plenty of rock fruit and make a big roast for the day!
there isnt realy any big news to report other then jelly bean is starting to kick REALLY HARD :D
Hope to hear from you all soon and everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend :)
Ky
Hey Greenslaw - it's not me having a boy, little early to tell yet but DH is very pleased to hear it!!!;)
Hi ladies,
I am a little overwhelmed at how many people are on this forum, so I think it will take me a little while to catch up with you all. So I apologise to those of you I havent mentioned.
Londonmiss: Great idea with the questions, I was very interested in the answers.
Airline: Have just read back through some past posts to catch up with your story. How frustrating for you. The HCG levels sound really good, surely they wouldn’t be rising if bub wasn’t growing. Good luck with your scan next week. For the last two weeks I havent stopped burping!! It is driving me crazy. I read your post about the ginger and I had some today, it really is amazing stuff.
Kyrawolf: Thankyou for telling me your story, it helps to know someone else has experienced the same situation. I hope your house hunting will be at an end soon. It is very annoying that most rental agreements have the no pets rule.
Boc: I don’t mind you asking at all. It was brownish. I ended up calling the nurse this morning and she basically told me the same as what you did. It is completely normal and I should only start worrying if it is bright red. I am sorry to hear about your step daughter’s concert. I hope you still had a good birthday weekend though.
Grub- Thank you for the welcome. I found what you said about your ovaries quite interesting, every now and then I get a stabbing pain on the right, from what you have said I am thinking it must be from the ivf.
Bella- I know I don’t know you, but I thought I would pass on my congratulations also. I love hearing the success stories.
AFM: I am still having some bleeding if you call it that. It is more like brown discharge sorry :tmi: again. I know I was told it was normal but I can't help worrying. I was crying all last night thinking it was all over once again. I called the nurse and she wasn't concerned at all, didn't even want to do another blood test. So I am trying not to worry too much and praying that it won't turn into anything more.
I hope all you lovely ladies have a wonderful week, take care.
Hello all. How are you all travelling?
How's the MS Airline? I was sat on the tram this afternoon and a chain smoker got on, oh my goodness, I nearly vomited on his shoes... it was REVOLTING. I do not get people who smoke. I can think of much better ways to burn money and the smell. Oh my Lord. I had to lay down for ten mins when I got home to stop myself being sick... yuk.
Hi SonyaLouise. Welcome. I get niggling pains now and again, esp when I sneeze. I was in terrible pain yesterday .... **TMI** I have no idea what I ate, but I must have farted (proper mens drunk too much beer farts) about 50 times yesterday. Thank God, DH found it funny although he did look a little bit alarmed at points when I sounded more like a pregnant hippo than his previously well behaved wife!!! oh I will never live this down!!
Kyra - I totally feel for you. We have a customs dog, and have taken the decision not to 'tell' our landlords. I figure the amount of money we pay them per month, and the fact that I will make good any damage = none of their business. A child is going to make way more damage than one soppy labrador! OMG - I didn't realise white chocolate freddos existed. And more to the point where can I get one?!
Grub - how you doing? I'm wondering if you need a big ol cork to keep everything ok until DH gets home... I'm worried about your poor mother in law's hearing when he does :o how you feeling? What are you up to? I'm completely fascinated and outreagously nosy as you can tell, you're the first person I know to give birth now I'm pregnant and properly listening... iykwim!
hope you are all well x
lol LM, nope MIL goes home thursday... DH gets here friday arvo... so no need for earplugs for her. hehee. But she's not the kind of person who would care.. she'd probably discreetly offer to take the furbaby for a walk :)
got MIL helping me paint the kids art canvas lol. so we are havin fun!
all is well ... had some diahorrea...was a lttle concerned things are getting close...hmmm.
oxxo
:leap: Yayaya for saph no more reports :leap: well done
Kyrawolfe ahhhhhhhhhhh my mum said a similar thing re barb wire  Well done clean house sleaping son. wonder woman! Glad jelly bean is giving you a hard time it's great.
London Miss  baby brain. opps...... do you have a preference yet?
Sonyalouise hope all settles down for you. Hang in there.
Grub so your only alone for one night then. :D glad you got MIL in on the art too, what a nice story to tell your bubba Nanna did this one... and mummy did these while waiting for daddy to get his butt home  have a good week.
ATM I was soooooo good today I didn't even check my work email on my day off! I'm on call so I rang in but I'm not checking my email till Wednesday It's my time to be at home.
Although with all the running around I did today I am so stuffed. Sometimes I think work is easier! then I think again ;)
Hi everyone,
Just want to introduce myself. I am Slyder's DW and have finally decided to join up myself (after years of reading...)
I am 7 weeks tomorrow with twins following a FET.
Am still trying to read posts and get to know everyone, so please ignore my lack of personals tonight.
Am having another scan tomorrow - on weekly scans due to few recent scares.
Am generally feeling sick and very tired. But I'll happily take it!
Cheers,
Mrs Slyder
:hello::welcome: MRS SLYDER,how wonderful to see you here hun i truely hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth sailing with your little twins.
Hello Mrs Slyder - always nice for someone to convert from lurking to joining!
How you all doing? Is your stomach better Grubbster?
Greenslw - well my DH def wants a boy (he's so old school, and is already thinking of the teenage years) so I suppose I want a girl just to be... well even I suppose. Or stubborn : ) But like all of us, I suppose I really don't care at all as long as it's healthy and 'normal' and mine. :)
Hi,
Just a quick one, thought I’d share a tip...
I just got a call from my obstetrician’s office. They’ve been advised that Medicare will be significantly reducing their rebate towards Obstetrician Planning & Management fees as of 1st Jan 2010. So if you are going private, and will be 20+ weeks by 31st Dec, it might be worth contacting your OB’s office to see if you can pay early. But you have to be a minimum of 20 weeks to pay & qualify.
Our example:
Our Ob’s fee is $2000. Because we are over the Medicare Safety Net we qualify to get $1600 back if we pay by 31st Dec. If we were to wait til 1st Jan, we would only receive $460 back. That’s a huge difference!
I’m not sure of exact figures but it is a similar story if you are under the Safety Net threshold.
Hope this helps some of you! Spread the word to any preggy friends too!

Hi BOC - thanks - must take you ages! I'm due July 16th. I'm calling him/her flutterbug at the moment based on the scan.
A question for you all - I often get cramped muscles (long story involving an accident with a donkey in Egypt - I'll tell you one rainy day!) - particularly in the top of my bottom/ bottom of my back. For years, I've had really really strong, deep massages and they help so much. Do you think it's ok to get one now? My bottom (round my pelvis) is cramping so badly my leg is twitching almost. Or should I ask my GP? I don't have an obstet. yet, just an FS who I doubt knows... or am I underestimating him. Or maybe a nurse? what do you think?
Oh, the masseuse is pregnancy trained, she's 'proper'.
 LM, so sorry to laugh, don't mean anything nasty by it but I have a very sick twisted mind and you can imagine the images conjured up in my brain in regards to and accident involving a donkey in Egypt leaving you with a sore bottom region... sorry but my dirty mind went haywire LOL.
I will update you on the list.
In regards to the massage, I have a friend that is a masseuse, and she told me it's not a good idea to have a massage til at least 12 weeks just in case, especially if it is a "delicate" pregnancy situation as throughout the massage you are releasing and moving toxins around your body. She said some masseurs will still do them, but she refuses just in case, she would hate to cause any problems. Hope that helps.
BOC - perv!!!
lol LM - i must confess i did a little dirty mind giggling too ;) i had a mssage but not til about 30 weeks or so... i get terrible pain and cramps in my hips/butt/calves... i find the hip ones are from the relaxin particularly at night... Make sure when sleeping on your side to have a couple of pillows between your legs (mind really in gutter now lol) and your knees and hips are in line. For me, it was those muscles and joints over-stretching cos of the relaxin and the way i was sleeping. hope that helps... not sure about massage under 12 weeks but there are people who specalises, you might just need to make a few phone calls.
oh smithy! i hope so!!! if any of you girls come and steal my thunder and pop bubs out before me, well, i'll be extremely put out!!! wait you turn lol. DH hopein THREE sleeps!!!! three!!! threee!!! three!!!
Boc, that's really interesting. i'm so glad we scrapped in this year. bloody federal money grabbers... oops meant govt!
greenslw - glad to see that green foot being put down on work. taking time out for yoruself is soo important.
mrs slyder - welcome aboard hun!!!
hi to all our other lovely girls. hope you are all well ... who had scans this week??? sorry can't remember.
just had a visit from an 8mth old cousin (well 3rd cousin actually) and I WANT MY PRIZE lol. am exhausted now tho. belly settled down, feet and back aching.... i think its all just the joy of prelabour!
oxoxo
Hello ladies!
Well i'm never going to be able to catch up on personals so i'm going to just start from scratch apart from a couple of things. Though of course, LM, I can't let a comment about donkeys and sore bottoms go past without asking ????????! You realise now you're going to have to fill us in ;)
And Grub - so close now - I can feel your excitement! Hell, i'm excited for you! You've done remarkably well my lovely to last this long at such a time without DH, my hat goes off to you. My DH and I had 12 months living apart - him in Melbourne and me in Canberra, but we spoke several times daily, and the longest we went without seeing each other was three weeks, and I thought that was the toughest time of my life (certainly didn't help in the TTC department, lol!). So well done to you.
BOC - thanks for the tip, wish it applied to us. We have our first OB appointment on December 18, and we received all our paperwork a few weeks ago, including the schedule of fees. So apart from paying for each visit we have the honour of paying her another $3000 at the 20 week mark. Amazing! I'm beginning to wish we'd gone public, my friend went public about 18 months ago and said the only thing she had to pay for was one US. Oh well, the price we pay...
And Sonyalouise - i'm SO glad to see you on here! I've been following your posts, what a time you've had, and what a story you're going to have for your little one. Will be  your scan goes well tomorrow.
And of course a big hello and well wishes to everybody else. You'll have to forgive my tired sick brain for not doing more personals. We've made the move back to Canberra and are staying at my parents until we can move in to our new rental house. Still cursing DH for asking our tenants to resign another lease (we own a house here but tenants now have a lease until August...) but what can you do. Still no computer, we probably won't buy one until we move into the new place as mum and dad have several. Trying to get on is another story - my sister and her girlfriend live with my parents at the moment so it's a little full here! And i've got another sinus infection so off work for a few days.
Gosh, what a whingey post, girls, i'm actually in quite a good mood although you might not be able to tell. We hit the double digits mark this week so only another couple of weeks and we can shout it to the roof tops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were out at dinner with some friends on our last night in Melbourne and halfway through dinner DH suddenly blurted out "lise's pregnant"! I don't know who was more shocked, them or us!!
Anyway, better go before you all fall asleep. Hope you're having a lovely day, and belly rubs to all.
lise xx
sonyalouise -=- awww hun  hope you are ok.. THe should do tests if you are really worried :( Hope it all is ok.. But im sure it is hey. Hang in there..
LM-=- Hahaha! White chocolate freddos are the best :D you can get them almost anywhere i think? Glad to have introduced such a happyness in your life ;)
Grub -=- NOT LONG NOW! and you will have your prize! Hopefully not till at least friday tho Im crossing my fingers for you xx
Greenslaw -=- Sounds like things have been hectic for you! Hope you can put your feet up soon and relax a bit!
Mrs Slider -=- HEY :) Congrats on the twins and although im new here too, welcome :) im sure everything will be fine with the twins! Keep us updated :D
Lise -=- OMG, what a shocker! Hope you move into your ne place soon and all gets sorted with the tenants after not too long.
sorry for the half arsed persies  Been so hectic today and i think im just about written out after writing a massive letter to my mother laying down on the table everything ive been feeling and what i want her to change and apologise for lol
Talk soon take care all xx Ky
LM I can sympathise with you. I have pubic symphasis dys.. something arather i have very deep massage in my bum every few days beacuse my pubis is moving to much and it makes the muscles in my bum very tight. A few personal questions. Do you get sharp shooting pains in you ... Fanny for want of a better word. Cramps up into your tummy when you move for example go from sitting to standing. I have pins and needles in one of my hips when I lie on my side either side doesnt matter. At times I cant stand up straight and the other day I was so bad I couldnt walk the 3 meters from my bed to the toilet. Dh had to put my pjs on. I see a womens health physio and take lots of medication. If you need any other info just pm me.
AFM Cant remember if I updated you yesterday. No diabeties for me but very low iron and then a phone call today in the middle of the crappiest day of the year to say that my vitamin d levels are low as well. So more pills for me iron and vit d added to the list. Need to vent bought tickets to see the wiggles. Campbell was so excited, "Just as we were walking out the door. DH tells me the tickets were for yesterday. Quickly jump on line whilst sobbing that I am such a bad mother and get tickets for today starting in half an hour. Just enough time to get there, but they didnt email me the tickets. So after some very heated phone calls I am out of pocket $120 and no wiggles. With my 3 year old telling me dont cry mummy no wiggles tickets its ok. I just want to go to sleep for a week. Sure I will get over it he seems to have.
Well I hope everyone else is having a wiggle free drama day. Belly rubs to everyone.
Lise - re the sinus infection I take a hayfever nasel spray in the morning and a polamine at night and for a few months took one antibiotic a day to keep the sinus infections away. I had one that landed me in hospital because I couldnt keep anything down.
Hoping that you find something that helps. My baby is so going to be a pill junky when he is born. lol
Thanks for that Saph, I have a GP appointment tomorrow so was going to ask what I can do re my sinuses. I usually suffer from dreadful hayfever at the best of times and have had to stop immunotherapy when I started IVF so it's been progressively getting worse since then. I must admit, I've also been thinking this baby is going to be a pill junkie - I've never had as much panadol as in the last 10 weeks ;)
Night ladies, hope you all sleep well. I've just made myself sick with a too rich caramel milkshake so definitely lying down time for me!
Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA. I do try and keep up with what everyone is doing but I don't get that much time to get on here.
All is going well for me I have 9 days to go til my due date.
I am enjoying maternity leave I really think I could take this whole not working thing permanently.
Wow there is so many of you due in 2010. That is great. I wish each and everyone of you a smooth pregnancy.
I will try and get on as often as possible now I am not working.
:bellyrubs: to each and everyone of you.
Oooh Saph, you have just decribed almost every symptom I'm having! I thought I had a case of sciatica but now you have me wondering... I also am finding that at night every time I move in bed my back and hips are clicking.
My last Ob visit my Ob was away and I had to see a midwife (not happy Jan... very patronising) who wouldn't even listen to my symptoms, cut me off when she heard "back pain" and basically said words to the effect of everyone gets it, nothing you can do just gotta deal with it. Luckily I followed up with my GP who has referred me to a physio. I tell you if it turns out to be something I will not be a happy camper!
Oh girls as for the hayfever, I get it pretty bad too. I'm trying to minimise all medication if possible, so my IVF clinic recommended Fess nasal spray, it's saline only, and surprisingly it works!
Laniwantsababy - good luck with your birth! Look forward to your BA!
Ooooh I tell you I had the most amazing sleep last night, for the first time in ages! 3 stretches of about 2hrs each! And no having to get up and walk laps of the house in between! Pain only when I changed sides or moved, and actually when DH's alarm went off at 2:30 I woke to find myself flat on my back & arms & legs spread out across the bed  (luckily we have a King). But I had also added to my pillow nest last night, I'm now up to 6! I'm starting to wonder if I just went down to Clark Rubber and bought a thick piece of foam if they would cut out the shape of my body in it
I didn’t realise you all had such smutty minds!!! Well, we’re going back about 8 years. It was a pretty rough time for me, I’d just been told I was on the list for redundancy (I used to work in the energy trading division of TXU Europe which went spectacularly bankrupt) and the money was ok but I was dithering. Then DH, or DB as he was then, dumped me after we’d been together for a year and a bit. Two days later, the cash rich and impatient trading Director, upp’d the redundancy offer by an extra couple of months pay and I took it. I did a search on the most interesting place I could go to that Saturday without getting a visa, ideally one that would confirm independence and scare everyone (not a lot of straight thinking in this period). So I went to Egypt, the week the first gulf war broke out. There were a sprinkling of Russians, but pretty much only crazy brits there, everyone else had cancelled, so it was superb. Great holiday, wonderful people, no hassle at all and no upset stomach! I did a tour down the Nile on a boat, and then independently travelled back (on the night train, on my own, as I say, not thinking straight) and stayed a while longer in Cairo.
Anyway, when I was at the Valley of the Kings, we went on a donkey ride up to the valley, then back down to the boat. No harness, no saddle, no nothing. Just hair to hold onto, and I should note that I’ve not been on a horse for two decades at this point. So we go up this valley, and there’s a sheer drop to one side of 300 meters or so and I’m bricking it, frankly, but everyone keeps telling me that donkeys have the highest sense of self preservation and I shouldn’t worry. After what seems like hours, we finally get off the blasted things and look round. It’s great – if you ever feel like going, I highly recommend it. Then we got back on the donkeys at the visitor centre, and I was delighted to hear we weren’t going back over the hill, but round the valley road which was newly built.
I’d only been on about two minutes, when my donkey, who seemed to think he was the National winner, decided that he ought to be in his standard position of third in the ordering, so he jumped, caught his foot on something, tripped, I went over his head, turned in the air, landed pelvis smack on the new concrete road. Luckily my mini rucksack shot up and I didn’t crack my head. But my pelvis was in searing agony and I really thought I’d broken my back. It was excruciating. The lady behind me was a nurse from England and she thought the same and told me not to move at all. Then the Arabic-only speaking donkey boy starting pulling me up from the floor by my shoulder, and we were both screaming at him to **** off and leave me alone, and he kept doing it, and eventually we realised that there was a huge German tourist bus hurtling towards me not looking, chatting on his microphone and I’d better shift. So I did, screaming in pain. Then I got put – on my own- in a cab and I assumed I was going to hospital, but no, the taxi driver got out on the way back and had a fag and a coffee with his mates, before dropping me off at a hotel where the boat would come and get me. Still no doctor and I’m crying with pain by now. No one would help me (no one could understand me to be fair) so I just lay down on the cold marble floor as still as I could on my back until someone came (the hotel owner didn’t really like this but I can be terribly Imperious when hurt!). Eventually I got a doctor, who did rudimentary checks, gave me painkillers. Being a Muslim country, he didn’t tell me not to drink at the same time, so I did and was high as a kite for a week. Going back to panadol was horrid!
I think I permanently knocked my pelvis out of kilter, and all the muscles in my back have been overcompensating for the back right side for years, and so on. The muscles around the pelvis/ back joints are the worst, especially when I don’t exercise (and I’m going for a swim as soon as I’ve written this epic) So there you are, that’s the donkey and the bottom story, filthmeisters!!! Needless to say, I got back together with DH so it was all ok in the end. But do be careful on donkeys, they are the spawn of Beelzebub.
I didn't mean to silence all conversation!
Hehehe I'm just glad I wasn't the only dirty-minded deviot LOL!
Oh LM I'm sure it would have been a horrendous experience! But oh, what a comedy of errors! Have you travelled again since then? Good to see something good came out of it (DH) although, I hope you remind him on a daily basis of the pain and hardship you suffered because of his bad behaviour
OMG LM,! That was epic.. certainly one to tell the kids! Your poor back, and what a terrible place to have such bad fortune! Well I agree, at least you got DH out of it :D
and one hell of an entertaining campfire story!
AFM -=- I feel so tired today.. Jelly bean has gotten so strong the last few days and seems to think my bladder is a jumping castle! So Ive been wakeing up at random times all night to the strangest feeling like my organs are being punched (well, they kind of are)
Its really nice in a way to be getting a little further along, I dont know why but the further I am, the more I feel like I am "really" pregnant.. and the more important I seem to feel..
Everything is different to the way it was with DS.. Thats why I think maybe this one will end up being a DD.. But ive got another few months before ill know ;) If I can hold out at the scan next week! Still no houses worth checking out.. So we ended up putting the christmas tree and decorations up with DS today because somehow I dont think we'll be getting out of here before christmas.. So that was fun for him, and he loved putting the start up on the tree while daddy held him miles off the ground :p
19 weeks tomorow -- :leap:
Be back on later to see how we all are .. <3 Ky
Hello lovely mummies to be, just a quicky from me.
28 weeks today! I am so excited to have reached that milestone of viability, I had a scan yesterday, both girls are head down and doing fine , Aria is a little under average size weighing 1050gms and Sophia average at 1100gms, so very happy and will now be pulling the finger at anyone who comments that I don't look big enough to be carrying twins :D. A little scared to think that they will double in weight in the next 4 weeks, that means I have to put on at least half a kilo a week in just babies. Can I eat enough to do that ;), will give it my best shot!
Counting down the days to start mat leave, I only have 9 more work days left, and am really feeling it to, am endlessly tired and still struggling to get over the flu. Enough about me...
Kyra, hope you get your house soon, and good on you for holding out, though don't know how you will do it, I just had to know.
LM, wow what an experience, I loved your story but sorry to hear about the ending. One of my favourite holiday experiences is the donkey ride up the hill in Santorini, but can't imagine being thrown off one, you poor thing.
BOC, hope you have better luck sleeping, I am really suffering from pelvic pain too and just can't get comfy, am up to 5 different pillows at the moment, but nothing much is working.
Lani, woo hoo for your coming due date, can't wait to hear your news
Saph, you are one strong woman. And what a sweet heart Campbell was re the Wiggles concert.
Lise, sinus problems here too, I have been putting up with it, but the breathing issues does make it hard to sleep. Should I have seen a Dr and not suffered all this time? Oops.
Grub, OMG so close, and DH home in two sleeps, how exciting for you, you have done such a great job, I am holding my breath for you and looking forward to hearing how you go.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all tracking well, lots of luv xx
Just had to pop on and say
WE FOUND ANOTHER HOUSE!!
Just when I was fed up with finding nothing and feeling extremely "woe is me" about the whole thing.. My GF rang me and told me there was a nice place down the rd from us going.. (not where we are trying to find a place, but still a can do if the house itself is good enough)
Well it is DEFINATELY good enough! It ticked every damn box I had in my mind! Fully fenced, close to the shops (walking distance) Pets A OK! 3 bedrooms, nice entertaining area, rumpus room, double lock up garage! Its better then perfect, everything I wanted plus extras! And its even cheaper then we were willing to pay!
I looked at the pictures and they are all great! Oh please oh please let this be the one :pray::pray: The landlord was extra nice on the phone and told me he could send me applications now so I can just hand them in on the inspection instead of having to run around like a headless chicken trying to organise everything in time! AND the inspection day is a day my DH can come with me.. This is almost to good to be true.. Please everyone cross your fingers and toes (and grub your legs till DH gets home so u dnt go too soon :p hehe) that we get this place and can fineally settle in!
AND its available now so we'll be able to move in before christmas! *faints lol
WISH ME LUCK

Hi everyone,
I'm reading through the thread and trying to get to know everyone! Am getting there...
First just wanna say - I, too, wondered about the donkey story...thanks for sharing the actual story though!
Baby Dreatime - you mentioned about people making comments about your size with twins. I'm starting to get the same comments from those who know. I am 47kg and 161cm (have been for about 15 years now, despite the rude anorexic comments over the years...) and have some concerns about twins. My FS told me maternal size doesn't enter the equation when twins are concerned...but I'm expecting to the be the size of a house (which is cool with me!).
FYI - my current due date is the same as LondonMiss...although I'm expecting it to be before that should both twins continue.
Oh and almost forgot! Had another scan yesterday - both @ around 15mm and heartbeats of 142 & 148bpm, so happy with that. Another scan booked for next Tuesday (and the one after that). It certainly helps us mentally to have regular scans.
My OB (who is also my FS) told me that as of January our scans will be $400 each. If she refers me to another OB, we'd get $81 back, however if we stay with her we won't get any back. I have no idea of the reasoning behind that, but think we'd rather just stay with her for the sake of 80 bucks. At the moment the scans are $20 (after safety net kicks in).
P.S - thankyou all for the warm welcome.
Me xx
Ladies just a quick me post as scrolling up and down makes me feel more queasy!!
I've been feeling nauseas for over a week now, been lucky enough to not throw up but had 3 close shaves...one with the crystalised ginger which funnily enough I've given up on.
Our next scan to see if they can find a heartbeat is on the 9thDec but DH couldn't wait. I was happier to live in ignorant bliss..well not that blissful, but YKWIM. I figured that although there are some stories that contradict, M/s is a good positive sign which doc confirmed. So we popped to our GP and his machine's not as good, so still no sign of h/b and I'm officially 8wks and 1 day. It had grown so......
DH wanted to see that movement...but there's nothing I can do.
Got a sick furbaby who's about to cost us a lot more money, so will concentrate on him in between feeling rubbish.
I hope everyone else is feeling a little brighter, and like me enjoying the cooler weather (if you're in Brissy). Night night.x
hey all - airline - glad it's growing - good sign  good luck for your next scan.
Finally finally finally got out furbaby back after three weeks two days at Customs I am soooooo pleased. Just hope she gets back into the regime of sleeping at night and not walking the neighbours!
More personals tomorrow (I'm working) I have more time than when I'm at home!!! sweet dreams
that was a freudian slip. Waking the neighbours, I meant, I'd be quite happy if she walked them!
Hi girls,
Just popping in quickly to say a quick HELLO to everyone and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Bella on the arrival of her beautiful boys, well done :happyforyou: Hope all is going well and you are enjoying motherhood
Belly rubs to all!
Take care,
Tania xx
