Oh Good.Thanks Janie! x
Ive been sleeping on my side with one of those long belly support pillows since i was about 14 weeks. personally I find it helps alot with the backache and feeling comfortable.. Sometimes even if i sit sort of slouched on the couch on my back a bit I get a bit dizzy when I stand up.. Good idea about propping the pillows behind you so u dont roll on your back i might try that one..
<3
I am so hot I have got sweat running between my boobs. Yuck. Bring on the cooler weather. Or birth.
Funny posts today ladies :D
I have hobbit feet, they are so swollen, next to no ankles. Not very attractive  I guess I should stop walking around the shops buying cute baby gear.
I have a pregnancy pillow on one side of me, and a smaller normal type pillow on the other side, so it is easy to flip from side to side, but absolutely necessary to support belly and put between knees. Now if only my groin pain would leave me alone.
I saw my OB yesterday, both girls are breech  I don't know how serious I need to be to try to do things to get twin 1 to flip at least. Travelling well so far, but at 33 weeks I guess I could go any time, and was really hoping for a VB, so could be running out of time. Any ideas?
Love to all.
Green, just a special note to you to say woo hoo on doing so well and am counting down the days with you.
xx
Hello ladies
Appointment with Ob went really well yesterday. Both DH and i walked away happy with our choice of Dr. We are now all officially booked into hospital, Ob and well on our way :D I even got my bounty bad. How exciting. DH said we should have got two as we are having two bubs.. haha.. We opened up the sample nappy and couldnt believe how cute and tiny it is! Now booked in for NT scan on the 1st Feb, the day we leave for Thailand oh and the BT to go with the scan will be done on the 25th Jan. Cant wait to see our lil ones again and hope and pray all will be ok.
As for the belly pillow, i have been using a normal pillow for the last two weeks or so to rest sideways on as im kind of a half belly sleeper and feels really uncomfortable to lay on my belly. I dont think ill be buying a pregnancy pillow as i have heard lots of ladies say that they stop using it from mid to late pregnancy as it just gets in the way. Ill just see how i go.
Baby Dreamtime i hope you find a way to turn twin 1 and get the birth you really want. I have everything crossed for you.
Lise - just a quick thought. Been chatting to a friend of mine, who took her baby away at about 15 weeks, and she had a last minute panic because baby didn't have a passport. Admittedly, it was a British passport, and therefore probably took longer to get than an Australian getting a passport in Australia, but you might want to pick up the forms in advance and have the paperwork ready so that you can submit it as soon as bub is born and you've taken the photos (my friend had two sets rejected, check up on the requirements before you take baby in!) and find out where/ how etc? One less thing to stress about when baby is born, I guess.
AFM, I have a new strange symptom. My belly button itches. I don't think I've noticed my belly button for the 35 ooops no 36 years of it's existance. Is itching normal? I'm worried that I'm definitely sticking out at 12 and a half weeks and you 15 week ladies aren't! I might skip todays ice-cream....
Hmm - and I'm irritated too that I haven't had an OB appointment yet! Grrr. I want a goody bag!!!
LM don't stress too much about your belly. Check out my photos on my link see how huge I was! Now my belly is still huge but all the weight I've gained is all in my belly & boobs whereas my other friends have all gained it everywhere so I'm not complaining! And as for ice cream don't deny it, babies loooove ice cream and it's very good for them... well that's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it
As for the itchy belly button, try getting a cotton bud and putting some sorbolene cream on the end and roll it around in your belly button. There might just be some loose dry skin or lint in there. But beware, if you have ever had a spray tan the gunk that comes out is disgusting (sorry :tmi:)
 I am so going to quote you on that to DH... "it's the glucose darling, for the baby to grow"
was feeling a little light headed, realised the dog had turned the gas on the big hob and am sat here gassing myself. Talk to go out for a walk I think!
LM, Boc is totally right. Babies love, nay, NEED ice-cream. That is what makes them so sweet when they come out. Well, that and candy, cake and cream-filled pastries. Do not deny yourself. In my first 3 months my legs, butt and boobs went gargantuan. I gained 21.3 kg in 13 weeks. (ok I was preg with twins for half that time) but my body realised it was pregnant straight away and wanted to store fat in case of famine and for BF. Since then I have not put on much at all and its all about the belly now. DH says that I needed to add more booty and boobs for balance, that I would be toppling forwards had I not, lol.
One (awful) thing though, itching is the first sign of stretchmarks. It could be that you are about to get a couple of teeny ones around your cute little bellybutton.
AFM- bloody well moving house. Our lease was up and our current house is not suitable for waddling pregnant mamas or babies. We thought it best we go now and just get it over with. Luckily we found a great house to move into however our current landlords are furious we are moving out (as they are travelling around Australia in a motor home) as they have to come back and re-tenant the house. Not our problem as there is a little thing called a LEASE *sammie rolls eyes* which means we are free and clear to move, but still they are being VERY snarky about it.
3 years ago when we got the keys and started moving in, it was the 17th of January. They - the landlords- gave us a couple weeks for "free" (not really as the condition was if we bought 2 of their fridges that they couldnt sell in the trading post for $900 then we could get the keys straight away)
Well it was so long ago and the date of the 17th of jan has stuck in my mind ever since. We stupidly assumed that they would just start the lease from the date we moved in, the 17th of jan, and then just not charge for rent until the 1st of feb. We signed and dated everything the 17th of jan but didnt double check start lease date (which was on another page) After that we just verbally agreed to continue the lease for another year and they wrote a fairly informal letter which we signed in front of a JP. We have been perfect tenants and have never been late with the rent or damaged anything.
So, after all this, we timed everything, like using up our 2 weeks in advance, for the 17th of Jan. We sent the right amount of notice to the landlords and everything did everything correctly. Got an email from them this morning. We have to keep paying until the 31st. GRRRRRRR. We are out about $1000. We are going to be FLAT BROKE for a while as we had to pay the bond and rent in advance for the new place and are doubling up on nearly a months rent. I tell you what though, we are leaving things in here and not getting the cleaning done until THE VERY VERY END cos the landlords think they are going to get new tenants in here asap as we will essentially be gone by the 17th. NOT HAPPENING. Also I am going to make them give the proper amount of notice each and every they want to bring people through before the 31st. I know I am being a b with an itch but I cant help it. I am genetically predisposed to it lol.
On a more positive note, I am finally over the worst of the grieving for my fur-baby. I miss him heaps and cant look at pictures yet but I am over the gut-wrenching sobbing and pain. Cant say the same for my kitty-cat. She is pining terribly. Weird really as she HATED him when was around. Nearly clawed his eyes out on numerous occasions. I am hoping the change of environment will do her good and she will get back to eating and being mean. All this silent moping and staring at where Lil B used to sit is disturbing. I am positively FREAKED at how she wont yowl for food every couple of hours and how affectionate she is being. A total change in personality...
Hugs and belly rubs to all you sweet girls,
Sammie
Hi London Miss~ Thats funny, having an itchy belly button.I had that when i was 15 or so an definately wasnt pregnant.Turned out it was infected.Very strange.Treated it with something the dr gave me to dab on it.Unless there is a discharge or odour, its probably just stretching and that can cause itchiness.
Im 10 weeks and the sides of my tummy are itchy, just like it was when having my son.Im also having itchiness all over.I just woke up scratching my arm, ankle, face.I look like i have fleas,im scratching so much! LOL
Paula~Congrats on a great ob appt.A goody bag!! I only got one 'after' i gave birth last time. You lucky girl.I have had 2 scans due to the ivf and dont have my first ob appt until 12 weeks,so almost there and looking forward to seeing my bub again. It is exciting isnt it?
AFM i tried sleeping on my side lastnight but kept turning to my back. Its funny because i have slept on my tummy for years and before i was pregnant i trained myself to sleep on my back(which i hated!!) so as to prevent wrinkles.:) Now that i have faded my unsightly wrinkle,i have to now learn to squash it again by side sleeping..hahaha.Aaahh the sacrifices women make.;)
Regarding the Nuchal Translucency scan, did everyone here on the forum who have passed that date, had it done? Im thinking, after reading about it in my book, about not doing it.Just curious if anyone else went without it?
Hoping everyone else is doing well.Belly rubs to all.xx
MMMMM Ice cream. Chocolate are a pregnant womans friend. As long as you maintain a healthy diet dont worry about your shape size or weight. I am absolutely huge, much bigger than with DS and I have only put on 2kg. Which I put on before 20 weeks when I was still throwing up everyday. Since then nothing.
Hello ladies! Yes I am still here.....extremely grumpy and crotchety but still here....
Sorry ladies but I have just not got the head space to even attempt persies today. Fed up fed up and fed up now!!! I have enjoyed reading everything you have been talking about so thanks for cheering me up a bit!
I am so sick of pubic pain (I actually have nightmares about having to turn over in bed now....For Real!!!), not sleeping (BTW my pregnancy pillow has been banished! It is a big massive V one with long legs IYKWIM. I am saving it for breastfeeding in bed as back support because NOTHING gets me comfortable now!!!) and heartburn. I am sick of BH starting and then going away. I am sick of not feeling anything that indicates that this baby might come soon. I am also dreading him coming late because I do not want to be induced!!! I know I am only 38 weeks but I just want him to decide not a bloody doctor!
I am however still enjoying his movements because they are so big now and quite distinguishable as feet or bottom or hands etc.
We have had snow!!!! So much that it would be almost impossible to go to the hospital if I was to go into labour! But at least it has meant a few extra days with DH at home because he cannot get into work. My dad has left the witch and is staying with my brother for the meantime as his arrival would have cooincided with my brief jaunt in hospital with the ectropion. So now I am delaying his visit further by saying he needs to get his finances sorted before he arrives (he has all sorts of appointments with retirement and pension people in London so it would be silly to come here yet) as he won't be able to find a flat etc without cash. Hopefully the baby comes before he comes because then his arrival is delayed further because we requested a 'babymoon'. Then DH would get our last days together as a couple and then straight into a babymoon. The pressure of that deadline is getting to me though!!!!
I want to attach my facebook photo album of my bump to my signature...does anyone know how to do that? I thought you girls in the heat might like to see my bump pic in the snow!!!
Belly rubs!!!
Morning ladies,
thanks for the advice re pregnancy pillows. I think for the time being i'll just load the bed up with all my spare pillows (which have been banished by DH to the spare room!) and DH will just have to find whatever space he can ;)
LondonMiss - thanks for the reminder about passports! I have a list somewhere about things to do before the baby is born and passport papers is right up there! I know sometimes it can take some time so I want to make sure i'm organised. As for your tummy, well I wish mine was bigger! So funny isn't it, to want to have a bigger belly but there you go! And as for goody bags, well I had my 12 week OB appointment, but no goody bag yet, though we haven't done the tour of the hospital yet so maybe we'll get it then...
Poppy - sorry you're so fed up at the moment. Keeping everything crossed for you your little one decides to come sooner rather than later.
Wantbaby#2 - I had the nuchal scan and i'm glad I did it. I know that sometimes the results aren't accurate, but for me it was for peace of mind more than anything else. Plus I got to see the baby which was an amazing experience. But I know a number of women who have chosen not to have it, so i'd say you need to do your reading and make a decision you're happy with.
sammiejam - that is soooooooo frustrating, poor thing! Sounds like your landlord is being very nasty indeed. I certainly wouldn't be letting them lease the place until after the 31st either.
Baby Dreamtime - hope the girls turn for you so you can have your VB. Will be sending 'turning' vibes your way :)
I'm so glad that i'm not the only one addicted to ice cream at the moment!! DH and I had planned a walk after dinner last night, but when the time came I decided I needed ice cream more than a walk so we drove to the shops instead! I'm going through bottles of Ice Magic like you wouldn't believe...
Nothing really to report from my end - at work which i'm hating with a passion at the moment so feeling no guilt at all for jumping on BB to write my posts! I'm moving to another area for 6 months starting on Mon 18 Jan, though they don't know yet I won't actually be there at the end... I feel a bit bad for not telling i'm pregnant before I start with them but everyone keeps telling me they don't need to know so I should keep quiet in case they find a way to discriminate against me. Which I know is true but I just feel a little guilty.
Other than that, i'm just glad today isn't as hot as it has been. I really feel for, and admire you ladies who are close to the end, I don't know how you're surviving in this heat! I'm just exhausted and have found myself taking naps again...
Spose i'd better get back to work. Hope you're all having a good day and belly rubs to all.
lise xx
Wantbaby, I had mine done, but I told my Ob straight up that I would not be having any further testing should anything show up. In all honesty I only had the scan done so I could get another sneak peek at Cookie but she didn't need to know that. ;) For us, even if something was wrong it wouldn't have changed a thing, but I wasn't going to miss out!
If you guys are referring to the blue "Bounty Bags", you get a Mother-to-be one at the Ob visits, a birth one (I think it's either at the hospital or at the follow up Ob visit 6 wks later) and then there's a 3rd one ( A boy or girl one I think) that you get a voucher for in the second bag and I think you take the voucher to Target to collect it. That being said though, when I got mine back in September my Ob said there was word that the supply company was talking about phasing them out, so maybe that's what they've done? Hope not! I want my goodies!!! A tip though, when you are a little further along go to Toys R Us/Babies R Us and register witht heir Baby Registry for your baby shower. It's free to do and the goodie bag I got from them was totally awesome!!!
 Love it! I have my daily fix of double choc ice creame drowned... I mean drizzled in chocolate topping and some nights DH will say "are you sure you should be having that every day?" and I just say "Oh it's not for me, Cookie asked for it specifically!" and he just looks at me and shakes his head. So now some days I'll have it while he's at work instead hehehehehe.
Good for you on standing your ground and being a right cow! A woman after my own heart!
Well girls, as soon as I had finished my last post I went into my bedroom to do my back exercises and crashed out for 3-and-a-half hours! I still feel like I could go another 4 but feel pretty good. It was that really deep sleep too, cause it felt like I was only out for 5 mins. It's a little disconcerting cause I left all the doors and windows open, and didn't even hear the postman come but hey, what can I do right?
Well had best get going, I had every intention of getting stuff done around the house today. I have a weird craving for a McChicken burger (ever tried them with no mayo and then drizzled with maccas sweet & sour sauce? Delish!) and then we start our Antenatal classes tonight! I have already been exposed to birthing videos at school & uni with some courses I did, and I sat with my bestie through both of her labours, so that doesn't phase me at all but it will be interesting to see the reactions of horror on the faces of some of the others in the room! (I have a really bad habit of bursting into giggles at the most inappropriate moments, hope I can hold it together if they do!) Not to mention DH, whilst he has been to a birth before, he has still kinda been in denial, even up til now, that we are physically going to have a baby here soon, whether he's ready or not. Every time I try to broach anything to do with the subject of the baby, or the nursery, or the birth etc he's like "it's way too early, we've got ages yet" so I think tonight will be a huuuge wake up call that he'd better get his butt into gear
Anyway sorry about my rambling, hope you all have a great afternoon! :loveshower:
Hey London Miss..
Its pretty normal that ur BB is itching.. especially if you are showing a bit already? After a while longer your whole belly will itch.. Its just cuz of the streatching skin from the uterus growing..
24 weeks today! Ive reached my next celebrative milestone! my next one is 28 weeks, then 30 :D
:leap:
MMMM Macca's have never in my life been able to stomache the stuff that is until this pregnacy. The might angus all nice and sloppy. Well since it is lunch time a trip down the road might be in order. Thanks BOC for mentioning it.LOL
AFM have had a cold for a week just didnt mention it because I fell like I am always sick, Well a trip to the doc confirms I have broncitis. Great what next, Morning sickness rolled into sinisitis, rolled in to broncitis and just for fun why dont we throw in pnumonia(sp) as well. 4 WEEKS TO GO. Not that I am counting.
:hug: POPPY...big hugs my sweety and hopefully not long and bubs will be here ,you are going so well and im thinking of you in all that beautiful snow, thank you so much for sharing your photos i just love them, you look great and i so like your hair that bit shorter  many labour vibes to you my friend xoxo
Poppy Fairy - there's loads of army bases near you, you'll just have to ask them nicely to come and rescue you in an all terrain vehicle if you go into labour : )
See, every cloud has a silver lining!!! Right, I'm off for a single waffle with mmm I think coconut and lime ice cream. Or maybe rocky road.... oops, I mean to walk the dog:shhh:
Smithy  poor DH did he look?
BabyDreamtime bugga on both girls being breech, no ideas sorry  I hope all the turn turn turn vibes might work.
LondonMiss itching means stretching :) I think you bellybutton will be popping out soon if it hasn't already. PawPaw Cream has kept my belly from being too itchy, I started at 8 weeks.
sammiejam sorry your move isn't going smooth and I agrea it's not your problem the landlords need to come back and retenant they can always get an agent.
wantbaby I still miss tummy sleeping but a couple of pillows or one pillow and DH works wonders for keeping me on my side. also when it's cool I put a wheat bag under my side (helps so much with my back) but with 39C at the moment no heat pack.
Saph, I had icecream last night it was divine.
popyfairy with 39C here snow sounds so nice. glad DH is home too, SOrry to hear you are in so much pain, Mine comes and goes but it really isn't long for both of us now
BOC you are so lucky you can nap, it doesn't seem to work for me, but I wish it did, my first day of leave today and I still got up at 7.30am. I'm nuts.
kyrawolfe :leap: well done on 24 weeks +1
ATM: sitting in the lounge room and have just givin in and put the ac on. DSS is helping me do the washing today (he is a jem) I'm really enjoying not being at work but I'm still thinking about it. :D I guess that will go soon.
OB appointment yesterday and baby is 3/5 engaged which is great cos I though my belly had dropped (still not mad yet). My blood pressure was down too. Feet are starting to swell so it's time to relax.
I still can't believe I was going to try and go to work for another week, how stupid am I. Well I'm just thankful I woke up to myself, afterall I'll be no good to bubba exhausted and still cranky at my staff.
Had two more baby showers this week and am so overwelmed. It was actually really plesent (my staff were so funn) they got me a shirt with a flap on the front with boob cut outs :o DH thinks it's cool but it's ugly. I think it'll stay in the draw.
Hey greenslw.. I dont blame you for having the AC on today.. although it rained here earlier so its been nice and cool for at least a little while !! sounds like your pretty flat out atm with all the baby showers! dont go too hard out :)
Made the greatest smoothie last night (my mango tree is comeing in handy!) Blended together a mango, a banana, ice cream, honey and milk then topped it all off with whipped cream on top! and cinnamon dust.. mmmmm no wonder Im already getting a chubby face!
Wow bubs starts to feel big around this stage! s/he spent all night booting the crap out of my bladder which was such an odd and uncomfortable feeling...
Wishing all the bellybellys out there a happy healthy day today <3
Kyra
Hi ladies, all this talk of ice cream is making me hungry.... I haven't been keeping it in the freezer as I know it wouldn't last long!
Green - glad to hear you have finished work. I think you need time to put your feet up at the end. I hope you manage a couple of sleep ins next week.
Sammie - your landlord sounds terrible. I wouldn't be letting anyone move in before the 31st either. If the landlord asks because they have found a good tenant who needs to move in sooner and they don't want to loose them - I would say that's ok if they refund you the difference in the rent you paid for how many days or weeks it ends up being. If not I would stand my ground too. They can't have it both ways!
Kyra - how lucky to have a mango tree in your back yard!
Poppyfairy - love the belly shots and the snow! I keep meaning to take some photo's but have forgotten in the Christmas lead up. I might start on Sunday when I will be 15 weeks!
AFM - I have been in a bit of pain the last few days with sore hips and things. My mum said she had it when she was pregnant with me but she was surprised how early I have sarted to experience it. Wenseday night I could hardly move because my left hip was swollen and pushing on my sciatica nerve. I have an appointment with the Physio Tuesday and am hoping this will clear up soon. I can't imagine another 25 weeks of this! Has anyone else had a similar experience?
:bellyrubs: to everyone else I haven't had time to mention.
Hiya,
You might have forgotten who I am...but I'm still here! This thread is a bit big for me to keep up with, and sometimes I've only got just enough time to post in my Bellies thread instead!
I'm 19 weeks today! And we'll find out whether we've got Pink or Blue next week - can't wait!!!
Mitf, just thought I'd let you know that I've been having the round ligament pain and back pain for a while now, and today it's quite uncomfortable. Just wait until you add a bit of gas and constipation to that!
And LondonMiss, my itchy bbs are driving me insane! I'm moisturising every day with cocoa butter which is helping...but scratching my bbs during work hours is proving tricky.
Gotta go ladies, thinking of you all...and watching and stalking you all. :bellyrubs: to you all
Seph
Persephone1 -=- good luck with ur scan and finding out if your buying blue or pink!
Hello Persephone! I thought you were missing in action! Funny, my boobs are one of the few bits not providing me with any problems at the moment....! But I will start slathering on the cream more religiously at night from now on. I've just scared myself silly reading my maternity book. I do not like the full-frontal-bloody-head-sticking-out-woman-screaming-like-a-banshee shots. I don't think there's any reason to a) have your picture taken then, it's not a snap for the family album is it, or b) to scare pregnant women with it... On the upside, I've finally got an appointment with the hospital at the end of the month. About blumming time, frankly. Of course, it's the one week that DH is away in India on a business trip. Do you think it would be better to take someone else or go on my own? I feel a bit of a spanner doing these things on my own.
Gosh, I wish I had a mango tree, that sounds amazing. Lucky you. Tonight is Friday and that means curry night in the London Miss and Mr household. Happy days
belly rubs to all, hope Smithy and Poppyfairy both feeling well and not worried about us taking bets on their race :o ha ha only joking
Hiya!
Seph: :welcome: back hun! I have often wondered what happened to you and was hoping everything was going swimmingly! Good luck on your scan, wow feels like only yesterday you were tentatively dipping your toes in this thread after receiving your :bfp:!
Smithy: Hey there goober girl! I have to admit I was  at the thought of you chasing Coops around waving bits of CM! Oh and v. jealous of the junk food for lunch! Would kill for some hot chips & scallops but Captain Heartburn says no :(
Poppy: Love the pics! How is your furbaby coping with the impending arrival? Mine isn't too fussed, very wary of entering the nursery but loves napping across my belly and playing kicksies with Cookie. Sending sweet labour vibes your way!
mitf: I had the same thing around 8-12 weeks at night. Kind of felt like someone pulling your hips apart. I was told it was that they were starting to move to make room for bub. Just try not to lay on one side for too long. Easier said than done though, I know!
kyra: mmmm smoothie! More a berry type myself, and loving fruit crushies too! Just bought myself one of those freezie mugs today so lots of crushy stuff for me YAY! :hooray:
Green: Glad to hear you're relaxing. And don't worry, I couldn't nap in the beginnig either, took a little practice. I started by allocating an hour a day just sitting back in the recliner or laying on the bed with furbaby even if I didn't sleep I was resting. Didn't take too long before I started dozing off. Good luck!
LM: Hope you enjoyed the waffle... I mean walk ;-)
Hi and :bellyrubs: to everyone I've missed!
Well last night's antenatal class was interesting. Instructor was abit of a wet dishrag but nevertheless went through some stuff. I think I'm just way too overinformed cause I'd already read up on a lot of it. Most intersting part was the video. In a room of about 10 couples, all first-time parents, some with no idea what goes on in labour (how thoey could've read nothing yet at 30+ weeks is beyond me but anyway) when the video played it was DH who went a lovely shade of grey and almost passed out! Yep my hard-a*se macho DH who has been present for childbirth before! I was flabbergasted! Anyway gives me lots of ammunition to torment him now *insert evil laugh* but at least he said he was really glad he went and he got a lot out of it as things have changed quite a bit in 27 years.
And as for today, been a busy little bee. I went into my hossy bags checklist and realised that bar the gatorade and muesli bars, oh and the birth plan a.k.a "wish list", my labour bag is ready to go! So it's now all packed and even the other hossy bag for me & Cookie is 2/3 packed now too! Very proud of myself! And feel a big sense of relief too, knowing that I could go anytime now and at least be ok and comfy for labour.
A little bit of a scary thought, one of my friends who is also 27 weeks and is having #4 is already 4/5 engaged!
Anyway hope you all have a great weekwend! I'm picking my parents up from the airport (they've been to a family wedding in Sri Lanka) and will prob spend a couple of days there. Catch you all soon :loveshower:
LM -=- I definately agree with the full frontal image of agony and gore.. But dont wry, You wont be seeing it from that angle so as painfull as it is, it wont be half as scary
Id take someone with you if it were me.. If not for support, but even just to have someone to share the excitement with and have a chat to about it after :D
poppy -=- the snow pics are great :) puppy looks a little curious about the belly :) my furbaby cuddles upto me on the couch at night and gets a confused look on her face when bubba boots her in the side
BOC gatorade and muesli bars is a great idea! Dnt mind if i steal it when i start to pack my labour bag (not for a while yet i hope, but you know :p) ROFL at DH turning all grey and nearly passing out at the video! Lets hope he handles the real thing a little better hey!
Having the mango tree is definately great! Ive been snacking on mangoes so much haha every day! So I somehow doubt Ill be having any mroe of those toilet problems :p Todays been a quiet one for me... Just cleaning up spending time with DS and furbaby and takeing the chance to enjoy the peace of it all ..
catch up soon :) <3 Ky
kyrawolfe the booting does stop followed by intence wriggles. not sure which I prefer. Hope tonight is more peaceful for your bladder.
Mitf I started feeling sore around your time. I saw the physio monthly for a while then fortnightly then weekly. really helped if you can get there. if not DH massage would be good around your hips too. Just watch out mine always end in two outcomes :bd: or zzzzzz for me.
Welcome back Persephone glad to see your motoring along. any feeling re pink or blue?
Bun thanks for the helpful hint re napping, I'll give it a try. Wow your friend is already 4/5! can you stay like that for a while? I found Antinatal classes the same. only didn 2/4
All this talk of the tropics is making me so jelous. I fell in love with Darwin just need to pick the right time to move.
ATM today is way hotter than I thought and I'm regretting not shopping last night cos I want CHIPS! I took a walk outside and don't think my need for chips is as great as my need for cool.
DH is on a boys trip today picking up a car for a friend he'll be gone the whole day I don't know how all you ladies with DH working away do it. I'm a mess. Enjoying the house to myself but because he's so far away the 'what ifs' creap in. Mum's always close though.
No labor signs yet, really don't know what to expect anyways. I'm trying to sit on the couch and do nothing but it really isn't in my nature and I"m struggling.
Hope you all have a nice Weekend.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:hello: to all my beautiful pregnant girls,
wow is it hot or what ,im doing the same sitting in the a/c all day .
thank goodness we dont have long now girls IM JUST SO OVER THIS
i did end up trying sex with dh last night :redface:and lets just say ..how embaressing pmsl  i said to dh lets try to get rid of the rest of this plug OMG funny yeh didnt work :shakehead: and IM NOT TRYING IT AGAIN LOL.stuff that.
anyways my lovelies have a nice weekend and belly rubs to you all.
Smithy you make me laugh, I was thinking lets give it a try as we have been advised against it because of my pelvis and to be honest it is so painful who would want to. So we have a DS free night tonight (the first since he was born) so I though tonights the night nice movie nice dinner bit of romance. Well sleep over has been cancelled and I have thrush from antibiotics. Night cancelled. Poor DH he has had any for months.
Oh girls, glad to see I'm not the only one! :hooray:
Mine started off more psychological. I had a couple of friends mc within a couple of days of DTD and since then I have been so scared something would go wrong and hurt the baby. In the first 11 weeks I wouldn't let DH anywhere near me. Then we had a little weekend away and kind of got caught up in the moment... a few times  but since then I reckon I could count on one hand the number of times we've attempted it. I'm in the mood and everything but once we start I start worrying then panic and then it's just not an enjoyable experience. Plus now with my back problems it's just plain painful. Poor DH, he's been so patient but the other night the evil little Chucky came out with some smart a*se remark about not getting much these days.
Hmmm maybe I should take a leaf out of Smithy's book and start chasing him around the house with bits of CM, maybe that will turn him on
I can barely type I am laughing so much  the mental images are wonderful. Girls you are so funny. Poor men, we get them into a habit of DTD all the bloody time when TTC, and then suddenly, it's leaving them alone for a while and pretending we don't know what's going on :o
I have to share this little gem with you. I am sitting in the office reading Well hiding actually. And all I hear is my three year old running up the hallway yelling bugger bugger bugger and then I here his banging and crashing in the toilet still yelling bugger bugger bugger.OOPS I'm thinking there is a little deposit somewhere as DH walks past after cleaning it up. I am rolling around laughing as I hear a triumphant YAY and the toilet flushed a few times. It's times like this that make all the pain and no sex (yeah boys we miss it to) and other general cr@p worth it. Better go check the damage.
Smithy  I miss read your post and thought you said you are now trying it again. Glad you're not it doesn't sound good. Maybe some rasbery leaf tea is less vigarous?
Saph  our bodies aren't with us are they? bloody thrush is awful, hope you've got something to help. Saph I love it bugga bugga bugga! I just saw a glimps into my future and I"m giggling like a school girl. EXCELENT! Also well done on the hiding.
BOC, Thank you for sharing your story. I guess mine is different but I was scared in the begining my IVF dr said that DTD was good for keeping baby up there, who knows. all I know is now at this end DTD can help bring things on. It is so amazing to hear that every body has a different expereince and they are all righ for them.
LondonMiss I have a theory, if men truly understood us they probably would all be gay!
Well DH is on labor watch and it's scary. I poped outside to hang up some washing and well didn't hear the phone so he phoned both my mobiles and my mum! SO I guess I need to keep my phone on me more. Good to know he's as anxious as I am.
Im so glad im not the only one putting my dh through a sex strike! LOL My dh is driving me insane, asking "can we have sex yet?". We havent had sex since before the et so its been 8 weeks. The longest ever.hahaha
Just a quickie from me to let you know I am still here and still waiting!!!:wall:
Green- good to see you are off work and relaxing!
Seph - good to see you back!
Smithy - had a chuckle at the DTDing. DH and I tried the other night to try in order to get things moving but frankly it was embarrassing. We almost found it hard to look at each other in the eye the next day! LOL!! Won't be trying that again until the bump is definitely gone!! Looks like it is going to be acupuncture for a natural induction for me then!!! LOL
BOC - funny how they show those vids. I mean what is the point really? Everyone's labour is different..how do they choose the 'textbook' one for the video!!??
Saph - Poor you with thrush. You must be headed for a calm easy labour after all the trouble you have had in this pregnancy! Surely that is how it should work!!
Mtif - I did some sort of damage to a buttock muscle at about 13, 14 or 15 weeks (can't remember exactly) I was starting to get all that relaxin loosening and I squatted down quickly to get something out of the oven and I got a sudden pain in my bum that didn't go away for ages. I went to the doc and he said to take paracetemol and relax. It eventually went away but I remember thinking I was stuck with it for the whole pregnancy! You just need to be careful in your movements while your muscles are all loose.
Londonmiss - hope you enjoyed the icecream. I had my cold weather version yesterday. DH made mango and blackberry jelly (his own made up recipe using agar agar and mango juice and the blackberries we had frozen from our foraging in late summer!) He then chopped up bananas and put them on top and we had it with fresh cream! Yum! Like a sort of melted icecream sundae!!!
Kyra, Wantbaby and everyone else my 'fedup with pregnancy' brain might have missed, Belly rubs!!!!
AFM - seem to be having these weird nightly pains. I think they are like contractions because my belly goes all tight and they sort of are a wave going up my belly. Sometimes I need to stand up and walk around to feel more comfortable. I get them about every 15 minutes, sometimes every ten but nothing really regular. Then they disappear. Has happened two nights in a row now. I seem to spend all day with period type cramps (which for me is an almost constant dull ache low in my belly) and then this performance at night.
DH was laughing at me because he cannot believe that a woman who is 9 months pregnant can honestly believe that labour will not start soon. But I tried to explain to him that I feel exactly like I used to for 7 years looking for pregnancy symptoms. For 7 years I would feel sore boobs, urgent need to wee, funny cramps, metallic taste....the whole shebang of pregnancy symptoms and for 7 years they were always false symptoms!! So now when I am looking for labour symptoms I am finding it really hard to believe that it could be the real thing! Especially since so far what I thought was my 'bloody show' turned out to be a cervical ectropion and my contractions so far have disappeared or turned into gas!!!! LOL!!! I am still getting around to the idea of the inevitablity of this baby. It has to come out someway and at sometime but can you get this head to believe it????:wall:
BTW my Dad has decided not to come down until after our babymoon!!! Yay!!! DH and I are having lots of lovely nights watching DVDs and eating lovely food together! He is going to take me on a date to my favourite Chinese restaurant on Tuesday night. Cannot wait!!!
 at you hun,i was just the same with dh i could barley look at him i was so embarresed  didnt know really if i should cry or laugh to be honest lol.yep no more trying here either,i felt like dh was rideing a camel.
and many labour vibes for you darlin, your doin so well bub will be here very soon ..maybe baby just knows its just to cold rite now
hopeing your chinese meal might just do the trick eat something spicey ? could work
anyways thinking of you heaps take care xoxo
a big hi to all you beautiful girls.
Smithy your belly is almost as big as mine. I feel like I am almost dragging it around on the floor.
Well we are just back from the hospital tour and I thought we were leaving it til late with 3 weeks to go, there was a couple who are due in 5 days.
Well I dont know if my thrush is thrush, usual treatment is not helping so I will ring the midwife tomorrow. Oh a day stuck at home tommorow with DS plus my two nephews as I have to sit and wait for our cord blood collection kit to arrive. Must mean it is getting close now.
hello all. Saph - could you tell me a bit more about the cord blood thing? Sounds interesting.
Sorry to hear of the DTD disasters! Poppy fairy, your belly gets more impressive everyday. Yay for your Dad's news. That's great. Glad he made the break.Instead of DTD to bring on labour, perhaps you should go back to the curry idea! I'm typing lefthanded as I am sucking my first in twenty fivr yrs homemade ice lolly! It's not an icecream but frozen breakfast juice is probably better for me! So hot here still. Not been out all day, how you all doing??? Is it hot everywhere today?
 LABOUR VIBES FOR POPPYFAIRY AND GREEN
thinking of you darling girls...
