Woohoo Smithy... How exciting.. Thanks paula for that... I read the same thing and was popping in to post about it too... Goodluck too Greenslw... Starting to sound promising...
Ohh how exciting!!
Thanks for posting this Paula....
Oh yay Smithy, So not fair I am so jealous.
Green may labour with DS was very manageable in the beginning. I could move around, talk it didnt bother me at all. They were just regular contractions.
 Yayaya Smithy  hope things are going nice and smoothly for you and charlie and DH too :D I am over the moon with joy for you all.
 of joy for me too. DH just rang and his boss (who I could kiss) is ok with him working longer days and having one day off! so this meas :D I'm home with bubs Monday Daycare Tues, Wed, DH Thursday and Nanna Friday  I am so so so so happy. I was really panicing that I would have to work 3 x 10 hour days. ..... Thank you universe!
Don't think I"m having contractions but regular BH. oh well not long now and with the work / baby thing out of my head now I feel sooooooo good.
Oh how exciting for Smithy! I know (hope) she's not reading this as she pushes, but good luck anyway sweetie! That must make you next Greenslw?
Paula - the crazy dreams are something. I dreamt last night that one of my bridesmaids pulled out at the last minute (we've been married for years). And then we went away for the weekend and found an armed robber stood in my best friends' mothers' home of 20 years agos' vegetable plot. I'm going quite mad..............
** GO SMITHY!! GO CHARLIE!! ****
How exciting! Cannot wait to hear the news :D
Grnslw-=- I really do think your time is near.. All those slightly painfull BH being regular and all.. regardless of whether ur officially in labour or not... Id say labour is comeing in the next 48 hours... something just telling me :) Dont be too scared hun.. It starts off very managable for most.. Just like if you had a painfull period except in regular waves and its easy for quite some time and builds up to the harder parts at a steady pace (usually) If you just focus on what ur accomplishing, go about walking talking etc without thinking about how "scary" wats to come is so much then it will be fine :) Just think... everyone else on here who has been there is out teh other end and able to post about there bubs within hours, all fine and healthy :) so you will be too.. Hope ive helped u feel better rather then just ranted and annoyed you :p
Loveing all the dreams girls! I havnt been dreaming so much the last few days because I havent been sleeping.. Poor DS woke up last night with a sore throat and tummy pains so i spent most of it calming him and the rest of it trying to ignore the rib kicks haha..
Hope you are all doing well! Belly rubs to all :D <3 Ky
Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh, who do I leave it so long between posts that it takes an essay to catch up?! I'm in awe of you ladies who manage to stay on top of it all!
kyra - I know this is going back a bit, but good on you for going back to study, I think it's good you'll have something for yourself! And you reminded me I need to look into uni closing dates so thanks :)
saph - congrats on being an aunty again and not long now till you'll have your own little bundle in your arms, so exciting!!!
green - i'm planning a visit to Canada too, though we have to go this year for my BILs wedding! And you have got to stop going out in public by yourself or you're going to have this baby on the street ;)
babydreamtime - hope you and the girls are going okay!
melbel - how are you looking with dates? Has it changed again? Hope you're not feeling too big and uncomfortable.
seph - yay for having a boy! It must be lovely to know. Our 20 week scan is in a couple of weeks and I think we've finally decided that we'll find out, though we're going to tell everyone else that we haven't cos I won't be able to keep it a secret if people know I know...!
grub - hope ashton has settled for you and you can get some more sleep!
mitf - have you had your midwife appointment yet???
paula - not long now till you can see your little one, how exciting!
wantbaby#2 - I wish I was craving all those good foods! Although I am eating them i'm also eating waaaaaaaaaay too much ice cream. At least it's calcium!!
londonmiss - i'm jealous of your tummy, I think I just look fat! And I don't know how you do without your mum, I talk to my mum several times a week and couldn't even contemplate having a baby without her living in the same city. Very brave of you, especially since you'll be in India!
smithy - hope you're holding your princess right now :)
Hope I haven't missed everyone, it's taken me about one hour to write this in between supervising DH cooking dinner and a very very slow computer.
To all you recent mums - hope you're having a blast!
AFM - I felt the Chicklet move for the first time this week so am very excited about that!! Finally starting to feel a bit more real, though I feel like my tummy has been the same size for ever and I really want it to grow! lol, remind me of that ladies when i'm complaining about being too big...!
Hope you're all going well, sending belly rubs to all.
love lise xx
Woohoo, go SMITHY and baby Charlie!! Can't wait to hear your news and praying all is ok.
Greenslw, Saph, hope your turn comes soon too. Greenslw, I am frustrated with not knowing if it is true labour or just BH also, but everyone is saying that if you have to ask 'is this it' then it isn't it. Though what about those that don't get any bad pains? I am confused.
Kyra, hope DS feels better soon
LM, crazy dreams, but hope you are getting some sleep
Hi to everyone else!
AFM, 35 weeks today, I feel like I am so stretched, belly feels huge, numb fingers, itchy skin, swollen feet, can't sleep, but not ready yet and feeling ok, I have been lunching with girl friends and resting lots, so happy we have a pool to cool off in and hoping to hang on another week at least. Here is my 35 week belly pic if you want a sticky beak. Yikes! Login | Facebook
Just hanging out for the scan next week to see what is next.
Big belly rubs to all xx
BDT- your belly is lovely. I dont believe there is two in there I am that big with only one. I have to laugh. When I went into labour with DS I rang the hospital to say I think I am in labour they asked me well are you or arent you. I practically yelled back I dont know thats why I am ringing you. I was and he was born at 6.40 that night. I have been having lots of period type craps like then but I cant tell whats what.
Hope you get to hold onto your girls for a bit longer. I am hoping that anytime after sat when I am 36 weeks. Even though I am booked in for a C section If I went into labour I would go natural. We are just trying to avoid a repeat of DS horrible birth.
Go Smithy & baby Charlie. Sending you positive birthing vibes..... I hope everything is going fantastically.
Babydreamtime - your baby belly is beautiful. I love the way you can see the change over the weeks. I haven’t taken any photo’s yet. Will have to get on to that.... Plus I love your nursery. It is very elegant with a chandelier and all!
Lise - I had my appointment this morning and it went well. We are happy with the decision we have made. Congrats on feeling chicklet move. I am sure your belly will grow in the coming weeks as our bubs will start to go through a big growth spurt about now.
LondonMiss - fantastic that your mum is all booked to visit. It is definitely a special time and great that you Mum can come share it with you.
Green - can't be long now. Good luck and fantastic news about DH's boss being so understanding. It will be nice for him to have a daddy day.
Poppyfairy - I hope the sleeping pattern continues to improve quickly.
AFM - I had an appointment with a new GP Monday who turned out to pretty good. She was a little expensive but at least I don't have to drive half way across town to where my old one has moved. We also had our first midwife appointment at the hospital today. Was pretty unexciting but it is a step and I feel like we are moving forward. We got to hear the heartbeat which is always reassuring. I also got my bounty bag… I thought it would be a little more exciting but their is still a couple of cool things in it.
Hi everyone. Hope you are all keeping well and those bellies are growing nice and big.
Thought I'd pop in and send the very best of luck to all of you who are just about ready to pop.. or possibly popping as I write (Go Smithy!) Pregnancy is a wonderful journey as your little one grows and it's even more amazing once they are here.
BDT, 35 weeks is an awesome effort with twins. My fingers are crossed you can keep your little girls in there for as long as possible. Thinking of you!
We saw the obstetrician on Friday and she said I was looking bigger than full term.....measured me at 42.5 weeks at 34 weeks exactly...yikes!!! She said I was about the size she would expect to see someone of my gestation who is carryin twins...and just looking at BD's beautiful belly shots I think she is right.
She says if I was to come into the office at 36 weeks and say I cant take anymore she would completely undertsand and symapthasize and would be happy to deliver from that point on...that's Friday week....OMG!! I'm gonna be a mummy soon...
My personal goal is hopefully 37 weeks for good lung development but we will see...at the moment it is day by day. We are now on twice weekly CTGs and once weekly umbilcal artery flow scans to keep an eye on bubs.......fun fun fun..between those and ob appts, diabetes specialist appts, chiropractor, acupuncture and myotherapy pretty much every day has something packed in there!!!
Since Friday I have been getting swollen ankles and feet by the end of the day but it seems to go down overnight....the right foot worse than the left...anyone else had lopsided cankles?!
Oh and to compare here is my 34 belly shots..only one there and pretty much as big as BD
http://www.facebook.com/melbel69#/ph...3&id=613507035
The one awesome thing I am very proud of is I am 40 years old carrying an elephant of a baby and I have not yet got a single stretch mark...I love my mum for giving me such good elastic skin!!! now you watch...I will have jinx myself ands and wake up tomorrow with a belly full....LOL
Oh and GO SMITHY!!
Melbel: Cute belly shot, did you see mine that I posted I was huge before Tara arrived and she was only a 7lb'er (we thought she would be huge) the night before delivery we measured how big I was around at it was 124cm, which equalled on me the height from the floor to my shoulder. Oh and as for stretch marks, I was fine up until week 37 and than they kicked in. I delivered Tara a 38 + 3 and I think that helped them from getting too bad, not that I want to jinx you but just wait they could still arrive.
Here is the link again for my huge belly.... Welcome to Facebook | Facebook

Hope everyone is keeping well.
oxox
:cheer::cheer: Congrats Ella's mum on the arrival of your new little princess Emme... :cheer::cheer:
Finally the blue trend has broken and a couple of pinkies are getting added to the list (that includes Smithy's Charlie when she arrives)..
O.k Green we are just waiting for you now.....
Congratulations Ella's Mum - what a beautiful name you've picked. I hope you are feeling well and everythings ok. :cheer::cheer:
Kyrawolfe  thankyou so much. I think it's the control freak in me, but you're right millions of women do it daily and my day is coming. Loved hearing about your rib kicks, they are nasty. little toes I reccon.
Lise DH has my car no more going out! I need a wall and now have one. So exciting to hear you felt Chicklet move "shivers" it is amzing.
Baby Dreamtime I'm glad I'm not the only one who is confused re labor! Your belly is such a perfect shape, your poor back! hope DH is pulling his weight :D
Saph  sending you labor vibes but only good ones
Mitf glad your midwife app went well and great to find a good GP.
Melbel beautiful belly shots, goodluck with your goal, your ob sounds blunt like mine, oh well as long as they'r on the ball hay.
KellyD OMG your belly was so round. I'll have to post mine soon, I'm not that big and feel a bit left out.
Ella'sMum :cheer: well done. welcome Emme
Grub  hope things are going great for you and bubs.
ATM still waiting but getting "it's close vibes too" had regular bh at 1.30 hourly till 5.30 almost thought it was labor but not sustained enough, pain but only for a few moments. And baby is still very active.
DSS is working full time for the next few days so I can laze around in a sarong. 40C today Yuck.
OB appointment tonight, I'm going to ask about regula BH but I'm sure she'll blow me off like normal. Actually went to bed thinking "i'd love to go into labor now so I don't have to have another OB appointment" yep I'm hormonal.
Congratulations Ella's Mum! Fantastic news!!
Love seeing all your beautiful belly pics. Just proves everyone is different.
Congratulations Ella'sMum on Emme's arrival... what a lovely name...
Melbel - I have posted a link to my 18week photo on facebook as I've been told i'm huge and i'm now nearly 28 weeks... Maybe BDT can give you her impression of how big I am as she's met me.. I hope it can make you feel better...
Welcome to Facebook | Facebook
CONGRATULATIONS Ella's mum, so exciting! And a gorgeous name, love it. Hope all is going well and Emme stays perfect :)
Mitf - glad the appointment went well and you don't regret the change. Now just think of all the gorgeous baby items you can buy with that money!
BDT - love the nursery, just beautiful.
Green- glad DH has the car, hopefully that slows you down, though are you in walking distance of any shops?!
Ladies - love all the belly shots! Makes me feel positively tiny and dainty, which is not at all true (well it might be true of my belly, but not the rest of me!). Here is my comparatively insy belly at 17 weeks exactly:
Welcome to Facebook | Facebook
Melbel - hope you get to hang on till you want to - just keep those legs crossed! Hehe, will keep my fingers crossed instead and see if that helps...
Smithy - any news???
AFM - DH and I are going out for dinner, which used to be a weekly event and somehow hasn't happened since my birthday, just before Christmas. I'll see if I can manage to stay up past 10 for this special occasion - I seem to be just as tired now as I was in the first trimester! And another quick gripe - do the frequent nightly bathroom visits ever stop? I was (probably naively) under the impression the urge to pee constantly diminished in the second semester and have been sadly disappointed that i'm still up several times a night. Clearly I still have much to learn... ;)
Belly rubs to all,
love lise xx
Hey Lise - can't get into your facebook page - it says I don't have permission!
I'm still weeing in the night too, I was hoping it might go if I wee'd just before bed. But no, 4am.... Worse, I'm so paranoid about waking the dog up that I have to tiptoe like some demented Disney character down my own hall
Argh, damn facebook, I just changed the settings!! Should be good now!
And glad someone else is up during the night too, well, you know what I mean...!
sadly it still doesn't like me!
Hello lovely ladies,
I am not Pregnant (I wish) but I have been on the 2ww thread for well over a year now. I have seen familiar names and also new ladies come and go when they get their BFP and Its always been lurking in the back of my mind, what did they do to get there BFP.
So I suppose I am asking this question for all of us on the 2ww, in hope to get some answers.
The question I would like to Ask is:
I was wondering, what did you ladies do to get your :bfp: !
Was there something different that you did that month that you didn't do before.
Example: acupuncture, took special herb medicines, went on a long holiday, a round of golf perhaps, went on a roller coaster ride or hung upside down or was it just the right little Embryo ?
My sisters friend had been trying for 10 years, they decided that after this last IVF cycle if it didn't work then they would quit. Well on her very last FET she fell pregnant.
So we don’t Clutter up your thread could you ladies please post in the below thread:
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...fferently.html
Any information is greatly appreciated .
To all the ladies who have found my thread and put there story up there - Thank you
Moderators: I Private Messaged Marcellus and she said it was o.k. to do this.

Hey Danyelle - I can't get your link to work. If you repost, I'll start typing now and then copy and paste into the correct thread.
But Smithy :leap::confetti::leap: finally she's out!!! What a superb BB day - two babies! (well I know you might not have actually given birth on the same day but we found out on the same day!). Hope all went well, and hope you both put pics up soon
Loving all the belly shot's ladies. I am looking forward to having something bigger to show off...
Ella's Mum - Congratulations on the arrival of Emme Scarlett... what a lovely name.
Smithy - Congratulations to you too on the safe arrival of Charlie. Your induction date obviously wasn't meant to be and your body knew when the time was right.
Green - Good Luck Hon you must be next. I hope it's not long and you have a quick labour!
Lise - I can't get your facebook link to work either. I hope you enjoyed your dinner.
AFM - DH and I haven't had a holiday in over a year and want to take a babymoon. We were thinking about going to Japan for about 10-14 days. I thought it would be a clean, orderly and easy place to explore with the excellent train system. DH is now getting a little worried that I will find it to tiring as we tend to be quiet active and do a lot of walking while we are away. He also worried about something going wrong with the bub and us being in a foreign country. I think it's only 2 weeks and I am feeling pretty good know at 16 weeks. We will probably travel while I am 24-26 weeks. DH is now suggesting we head up to FNQ for a bit of a driving holiday and then maybe 4 -5 nights in a resort or on an island. I guess I have 2 questions:
1. How tired were other ladies at 24-26 weeks? Could this be too much?
2. Has anyone had the swine flu vaccine? particularly the ladies who have recently had there healthy babies. I think the swine flu is a bit of a hype and would normally give it a miss but am think maybe I should consider it if we go to Japan.
3. DH thinks we should go to Japan next March with an 8 month old..... I was thinking this might be the harder option?
Hi LondonMiss,
Sorry everyone, here's the link again. Hopefully I got it right this time !

Thanks
CONGRATULATIONS SMITHY!!!! Wow 6 pound 10..what a little sweetie. :happyforyou::hooray::hooray::cheer:
Danyelle~ Tried to reply but the link was broken?
Just a quick one for me tonight.I have a headache due to the heat today but wanted to post quickly.Had my first antenatal app today and everything looking great! Bub was moving around alot then turned his/her back to us!!! The sonographer however was soooo irritating. She basically rushed us through, didnt measure bub, took a pic of the back view which is really blurry. She did however say bub looked good and the hb was great at 160.We heard that thumping away like galloping horses and did pick out bubs feet and hands.Bub really didnt appreciate the scan, moving away and turning around.(poor bub)
So 12 weeks and 1 day today and a healthy active baby.im sooooo pleased to have made this milestone. We are telling my whole family on sat at my nans 80th so will be lots of fun seeing everyones expressions.cant wait!!
Hoping everyone is well.Must go and lie down to ease this stupid headache.xx
Hi,

Okay, i'm trying the link again here:
Login | Facebook
If this doesn't work, well I don't know how to fix it so you'll have to wait till I find a computer genius :)
Wantbaby - glad your scan went well though not so good the sonographer wasn't very pleasant. Still, at least you got to see your little one moving around, always exciting! And enjoy telling everyone - it's so much fun, I loved it!!
Mitf - I would think you'd be okay to travel that far along but then i'm not there yet so might be wise to listen to others' advice. I'm sure you'll enjoy wherever you decide to go!
Smithy - yay, congrats! So happy for you that Charlie is out in the real world!!! Hope everything went okay and you and DH are enjoying time with your princess.
Right - i'm off to bed. Dinner was lovely though we had terrible service so we won't be going back there for a bit! I'm now very tired, this is way beyong my 'in bed' time, I definitely need to be lying down now.
night all,
lise
Danyelle - it seems to be working now. Hope that helps.
Mitf - wow Japan. Wonderful place to visit I think - although being veggie, I wonder if I'd be ok. But it strikes me it would be a very child friendly country. Two friends of mine just got back from there. If you want more details, happy to copy and paste from an email from there into a pm? They said that language was an issue outside the main cities, which would be my main issue with healthcare if you had a problem, I think it would be very high tech on the plus side. I think it would be on the list of places I would go to pregnant.
wantbaby - just make sure your grandmother is sitting down when you tell her! Don't want her to have a funny turn with the excitement!!
Ella's mum well done! Welcome Emma!
Smithy Yay to beating the induction!!! Welcome Charlie! Cannot wait for pics!!
Green -
Wantbaby - we had a sonographer like that too. We had to actually ask at end of scan if we could try and see his face. Which she huffed at and gave us a twenty second view! The best sonographer we had was one who used to be a midwife. They tend to be more interested in the actual baby and not just the technical side of their job.
mitf - Japan is my favourite place in the world!!! DH and I regularly go there. I speak japanese though so it makes it a bit easier. Last time we went we hired a car and drove from Tokyo to the southernmost island to visit my host parents down there. However even if you don't speak Japanesee the Japanese are very hospitable and they have everything set up for comfort. You go into a restaurant and get looked after straight away (hot tea and towels in winter and cool water and cold towel in summer!) japan is the last place on earth with good customer service (in fact excellent service!!). Hotels are good (although I would recommend looking for Onsen spa hotels, usually only Japanese go to them so they are cheap and a real cultural experience with the hot baths etc......look for the little hot spring symbol on a map and there will be at least two or three there.) The Japanese love babies so you will have no trouble there. Japanese children and babies get treated like little kings and everyone you meet will love to see a western baby! I wish I was going!!! Can I come as your guide!!!??
Green - labour vibes!!!! I hope those BH are like mine and are actually real labour (my midwife dismissed mine right up until she saw the baby's head!!!!) and they are doing most of the work of cervix dilation so you don't have sooo long in the labour ward. My advice...you know what your body is doing....don't listen to them. I knew I was in labour and I knew my pains were doing good work but I listened too much to a person who had no idea what MY body was doing. Remember your body is doing what it needs to do to get your baby into the world. Regardless of what some medical person calls them. BH or contractions your body is getting ready for your baby's birth!! Each pain is a step closer. It is happening!!!!!
AFM - just come out the other side of a....wait for it.......24 hr feeding frenzy!!!!! Yes my little man has been on the boob continuously for exactly 24hrs. I think there was a break of about half an hour and maybe give or take ten or so minutes for nappy changes etc but literally he would go on, come off after twenty minutes and then cry to get on again five minutes later. I think it was the 10 day growth spurt. Good news though...my midwife is happy with me and bubs and he has lost the right amount of weight and then gained the right amount and she has asked me to give a breastfeeding demonstration to her antenatal class on Friday. Schnim and I have been practicing our demonstration technique.........brush top lip with nipple...wait for open mouth and shove it right in!!!!! Not sure the antenatal ladies want to hear about the 24 hr feeding frenzy though!!!
MItf - forgot something about Japan. The medical care is toprate and it isn't one of those dangerous places to go health wise IYKWIM. If you would have normally given the swine flu vacc a miss then I wouldn't take it just because you are going to Japan. Personally I wouldn't think there would be more risk there than in Australia as it is a first world country as well. God I am jealous!!!!!
Lise I am walking distance from the shops, but not that silly ;) Hope you and DH had a great dinner. Hope it was nice and romantic
OK we're having a wee discussion. Try hourly!
:cheer: yaya for Smithy and Charly :cheer:
Thanks Kelly
Danyelle I'd love to say I did something different but not really, I was more relaxed, had less on, but that's about it. :goodluck:
Mitf questions:
1. not tired at all it was like I wasn't pg
2. No vacine for me but if I was going OS I would
3. and 8 month old on a plane :o you'd be brave.
Wantbaby drink loads of water! headaches are not fun. Glad you app went well and sorry your sonographer was rushing you. that's not nice. Congrats on 12 weeks
Poppyfairy thanks for your story, I love the idea that every little pain is making labor easier! OMG 24hours and you're posting! you are super woman.
ATM OB yesterday was friendlier which was nice, I've mad another appointment for next Thursday and then we'll discuss options  so more waiting. More regular BH last night but they stopped again.
It's cooler today but I'm stuffed only 4 hours sleep last night, it took me an hour of relaxation to get back to sleep! I seam to have one great night sleep one very awful! what's with that?
Anyways here's hoping I have a Friday night baby. But I'm feeling ok about waiting today, maybe I'm just so tired I don't know what I'm thinking.
