Jo Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little Princess Jenna. That is a beautiful name :confetti:
Yipee, excellent Jo I am so happy for you big congratulations on Lil Miss Jenna :happyforyou: we had our suspicions when you went quiet.
Hi to everyone else, hope you all had a good week....goodness I need to catch up.
Mako and Monnie (oh and now Jo)- yes please keep us up to date with how you are all doing...it is so nice to hear what life is like after the belly.
Kimbe - glad your little girl is still rocking her thang....I cant wait and excellent that you havent got long left with the study either. ( And dont worry about the pg bikini look - I was in one last weekend but i was still in the "she could just be fat stage and that was 10 times worse" :D)
Lenny - Congrats on the last exam.
Nic, Arielle, Ktgirl, Zap - Hope the first tri isnt wearing you down too much.
Big Hi to Marcellus, Ltl Panda, Sazz :hello: and anyone I have missed
Me - well I had good news not suffering from gest diabetes just pregnant and narotic, so nothing knew there then:D. And I am growing nicely, all nausea has now subsided , and things are starting to move fast. I only have 4 weeks till the next ultrasound and 1st hospital appointment and we find out what were having OMG!!! And I have been getting twinges more often than before, I guess its due to the uterus stretching but Im getting excited about a little movement down below....I'll keep you posted.
Belly Rubs for everyone :bellyrubs:
(Ps dont know what happened there, if Sushee is lurking can you please delete my above post, thanks)
Hooray! Congratulations Jo and welcome to little Jenna:dance: we all 'knew' it!
Mako, I'm sure you're the only person besides DH to ever describe me as sweet.. must just be because you don't really know me ;). Anyway, sounds to me like you're doing just fine with Sage, despite all the problems.
Good news on your test results lismith. it does go really fast, doesn't it?
And yay on the rockin baby Kimbe. I'm always poking our little guy and then he kicks me. It's our game - I call it 'poke-and-kick'. I'm sure he likes it...right? we were trying to guage his reaction to names by seeing which ones he'd kick for - we only got a reaction for my brother's name (potential middle name) and when dave said something was 'great'. So, i guess he wants to be called peter the great...
I'm tired. just back from second day of weekend workshop for hypnobirthing. was really good - very glad we did it.
catch you all later
CONGRATULATIONS Jo, so happy for you and your family, wishing your little princess all the blessings in the world.
And Monnie, Mako and JO, you are so welcome anytime in here, we love to read all that goes on after birth....
Lismith, yay on the movements, and boy 4 weeks till you find out what you have, very exciting...
7 months tomorrow, 20 day to go until by baby shower, hosted my sisters yesterday and that was lovely. 25 days to go and we are off to Byron Bay for 7 days.
Had our second antenatal class yesterday and that was on breast feeding, lets just say I thought it was easier, it was just a matter of just flopping it out and hope for the best…well was I not disappointed and now worried.
Well hope you girls had a good weekend.
Jo...what wonderful news!
Welcome little Jenna!!!
Hope you are doing well!
Hi all, hope you had a fun filled weekend. Sydney and the South Coast had such wonderful weather, i hope it spread across the country to all of you! Am feeling great at the moment, I didn't hesitate showing off the bikini belly whilst we were away and actually felt completely comfortable in my own skin!
DJ - Congrat's on the arrival of 'Jenna' (DH & I love the name, it was top of DH's list, so now he's cranky that someone's beat us to it - even though he got it from someone else in the first place LOL). I bet she is just a bundle of absolute pleasure. Am really impressed on the natural birthing too - i just always assumed stitches and tearing was the go...not that the 'grazes' sounds any good.
Ltl Panda, can't believe you're 7 months now, wow that has gone so fast hasn't it
Marcellous i'm so glad i'm not the only nutter playing with my belly all the time, its all consuming isn't it. And who knows, Peter the Great just might work for the little one, hehehe
Lis really glad for you that the GB hasn't reared it's ugly head and that it is just the pg for you. We're all neurotic in here about things and you know if we weren't about some things, then i think we'd have reason to really worry.
How's itchy & scrathcy Ktgirl?? Think that's a great interim naming lol.
Hugs to everyone else, hope you're all feeling good!
Hi all!!!
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS JO on the arrival of the lovely Jenna!!!!!! So happy for you.
I know what you girls mean about playing with your belly as I do that too. I also press a lot to work out which side s/he is on and DH always gives me a hard time about it but I say "you should see what the GP does to him/her!" I think our bub doesnt like the way I sit at the computer cause I get heaps of activity then.
So glad you havent developed GD Lismith. Must be a weight off your mind! My friend has it and has been sick the whole time poor thing.
Kimbe, good for you in the bikini girl!!! I cant be seen in one at the best of times unfortunately but I do have a tankini which I donned for my couple of aqua aerobics lessons. I am thinking of going to the pool again now that they have opened the outdoor one here but I am a lot bigger now!!! Not worried about the belly so much as the thighs lol!
Ltlpanda, how was it holding your sisters baby shower knowing you will be having one soon yourself?? My best friend is doing one for me on the sunday after next and I am kinda looking forward to it. I always enjoy everyone elses but it is a bit different when you are the "victim" lol.
Marcellus, wow at the hypnobirthing. I would love to do that but nothing really available here....Hope you find it just the thing.
Welcome to Arielle!!! well done girl.
Hi to everyone else! I havent been on much for a while but am hoping to be more dedicated when my work finishes next week. I only have 2 more days this week and then one next week and that is it for me! Hooray! I will miss it but it is too hard being on my feet on hard floors for 7 hours on my own!!! I am going to rest, rest, rest while I still can!
Going to catch up on the treads properly now, as a lot has happened since I last caught up here!
Sazz
Hi all,
I'm afraid my posts are going to be few & far between for awhile as life is very busy I constantly have my boobs out feeding & I think everyone I know has seen them by now, lol.
Ltl Panda - I thought b/feeding was easy too but it takes awhile for both bub & mum to get the hang of it & sometimes if bub wants it every 2 hours it's very demanding. (and sore).
I am pretty lucky as Jenna is only waking twice at night, around 1.00 & then 4.30 although it can take awhile to feed & then get back to bed but it is hard as we have had so many visitors that I haven't been able to rest when she is during the day but I'm sure it will settle down soon.
Sorry I can't do personals but I'm just on for a minute because Jenna will be awake soon.
Mako & Monnie - no doubt I'll be asking for advice soon enough.

Jenna Maree has arrived 2 weeks early!!!
Jo congrats on the safe arrival of you little princess Jenna Maree.
I'm sure it won't be too long until she fits into her clothes lol.
Sage is wearing size 00000's and one little outfit 0000 lol.
He had his legs in plaster as he has Talipes. This is a little problem with his feet but the plaster is off now thank goodness. We still have to do the exercises and go to physio.
Hi to you all. Hope everything is going smoothly for everyone.
Hi Girls
Just a quick one for me, yesterday in the morning I went for a pee, to my shocking horror there was pink all over the tissue, so I wiped again and there it was again…. So I quickly called the midwifes who suggested I go to the hospital…I still do not know what its from, they did an internal check, baby was ok, everything seemed ok, so they think it could be the low lying placenta.
I am not bleeding anymore but I do have a stinging pain before I go to the loo and when I finish, could it be ITI, the doctors made no mention of it.
I am seeing the midwifes on Friday, so Ill see what they say in regards to the swab results.
Any one else had this problem?
Mako, cannot believe Sage is so little, poor darling….I bet he will have one heck of a growth spurt.
Jo, I am glad you are doing well, especially that you are on the right track with the breast feeding.
Sazzafrazz, I hope you get lots of lovely gifts for your baby shower, I am sure you will, people go nuts over babies.
Ooo, bit of a fright ltl panda! glad everything checked out ok at the hospital. Stinging like that sounds like UTI. dammit.
wow, Sage is soooo tiny.
Hope Jenna is enjoying all that booby attention Jo ;). Hope the visitor traffic slows down so you can get some rest
Hooray on finishing work soon Sazz. My work seems to stretch out like eternity before me... sigh. at least having a holiday from tomorrow - off to NZ. yay, no work for me for two whole weeks.
off to docs for checkup soon - take care everyone

Hey Missy :) glad to see you made it over. I went to PM you the thread the other day and my net disconnected!
Big hello to everyone, hope you are all well. We went away overnight on Thursday and got home late last night. I have been having some very light, brownish spotting, but haven't called our FS. It seems to have stopped thankgod!
Only 2 and a bit weeks till our next u/s!
Nic

Hi Missy, ohh my God, I am so happy you have joined us, I wish you all the best hun, I really do.......take care.
Well I hope the rest of the gang is doing well, and that you are having a good weekend....DH and I have been busy preparing for Baby G, seems like everything is focussed on this little being.....very exciting.
We actually painted the ceiling as the sky, DH did all the clouds, it was good that he got involved.
Well that is about it for me ladies, talk on Monday.
Hi all, well I'm finding it really hard to get 10min to come on & make sure that everyone is doing ok but I guess once the visitors stop coming I will get some more time.
Mako - glad to hear that Sage has his plaster off now the poor little guy, hope he is sleeping better now.
Missy - welcome & congratulations on your pg.:happyforyou:
Monnie - hope all is well with you & Felix.
Well as for me still adjusting to motherhood, am totally loving it except for the sleepless nights of course.
Note to self, try to sleep during the day when bub is asleep!!!
It's amazing how cranky you are when you get woken up to feed bub & then in the morning you just have this overwhelming love for your bub, it's like the night didn't even exist.
Still feeling quite sore down there but other than that all going well atm.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Jenna Maree born 2 weeks early! :babygirl:
Hi Jo its so true what you say about the sleepless nights and then the love you feel in the morning :D
I also have to start sleeping during the day but I find that almost impossible to do as I seem to have so much else to do like the washing and housework etc. I don't know how I'm going to cope when I go back to work
Hi to everyone.Hope you are doing great :D
Hi ladies and thanks so much for the welcome.
Well had my u/s today and im 5 weeks 6 days. Could see the sack but not the heartbeat. Doc said it was to early. Im going back on the 6th for another one. A little worried but doing ok.
Hi Missy, yes I think its early, I had mine at 7 weeks, I though it was procedure to wait until 7 weeks, maybe they were just checking to make sure that it had implanted in the right spot. Good luck with the next one…..
Mako and Jo, sleepless nights, sound great....I hope you can find the time to catch up on sleep during the day. Looking forward to finally having the baby in my arms, so cannot wait….
also glad that your little babies are doing well.
Well not much for me, just looking forward to my baby shower, holiday, Christmas, New Year, my sister giving birth and me finally holding my baby….
Mako & Monnie - I need help, just when I thought Jenna & I were doing really well we've had a little meltdown the last 3 days.
Around 6.00 till 11.00 at night bubs is really grizzly & wont go to sleep for 4-5 hours.
She has been feed, changed & will sometimes fall asleep in arms but when I put her down she completely wakes up & sometimes wont even settle in my arms.
Have you guys experienced this? she will also want 2 hourly feeds at this time which as you know is so demanding & you wouldn't mind if it meant she would sleep for awhile.
I just don't know how she can manage to stay awake for that long!
I know I have to change my ticker but I can't remember how to do it! (baby brain)

Jenna Maree born 2 weeks early 9/11/07
Hey Jo, my mum use to put us in a bassinette and put us in bed with her and dad. The bassinette will protect the baby from either of you rolling on to the little one, maybe just your presence close by would assist, even if you have your hand on her belly…….hope things settle down hun.
Hey Jo
Sorry to hear that things are a bit tough with little Jenna...I think one of the hardest things with babies is that things are always changing...just when you think you've got it sorted...they change!
Babies do have one long awake period in the day...and it looks like Jenna may have chosen her wake period to be 6pm-11pm...during Felix's long awake period, I do some cluster feeding...giving feeds about 1.5 hours apart...so between 5 and 9pm he has up to 3 feeds...this seems to help a bit...
I've heard about using a wheat pack in the bassinette, just to warm it up so when you put Jenna down she still feels the warmth.
Also...have you got the bassinette on an angle...just put a folded towel or blanket under the mattress end where her head will lie...sometimes that helps...
Maybe also try a bath, just to settle her down a little...
How is she sleeping during the day? One thing I found helped when Felix was Jenna's age was to be pretty routine with making sure that between waking for a feed and going back to sleep again, there wasn't more than 1-1.5 hours awake time. That way, he got to sleep before getting too over tired. The child health nurse told me that he was quite an alert little thing and that I needed to make sure he wasn't getting over stimulated...that seemed to help.
Wishing you all the very best...just know that IT WILL GET BETTER!!!
Hang in there chickie!
Hi Jo
Sage is also unsettled at this time of day. It has only just started the last couple of days and I put it down to the fact that we went to my brothers house on Friday night and came home Saturday. The WHOLE time we were there someone was nursing Sage and as soon as we came home and put him in his rocker he would scream even if he was asleep grrrr.
I have also noticed that he is having trouble getting all his wind up and has been waking with pains in his tummy. So needless to say we are burping him constantly. Sage also had a growth spurt towards the end of last week and he was feeding 2 hourly.
All I can suggest is that you and your dh take it in turns as to who settles Jenna and I can't remember if you are breastfeeding or not but if you are maybe you could express into a bottle and dh could feed her occassionally. I do this too and I find it gives me a little break ;)
Hope this helps a little for you Jo. Feel free to PM me anytime if you want some help :D
I can't believe Sage is 5 weeks old today. He's growing so fast. I had him weighed this morning and he's now 3.03kgs. Not sure what that is in pounds and ounces. I'm going to look to see if I can find a site that converts weights now so I know what I'm talking about.
Hi to you all. Hope you are all doing well.
Ktgirl How are you and itchy and scratchy doing? Haven't seen you around for a little while.
Hi girls...Missy welcome and congrat's, what an early us you had, just wait till the 7 weeks, you'll see/hear HB and feel so much better.
Mako, Monnie, DJ, am loving hearing your ideas and practices with your little bubba's hopefully i remember them all when our little one comes along.
Ltl P, after hearing of your work in your nursery, we began ours over the weekend. Fortunately, Dh & i don't have much artistic talent so painting anything, let alone clouds, wasn't on the agenda, though just putting the crib and change table together, playing with the manchester and putting up the first few wall hangings was great fun. I fell like we're now definately on our way (early, but started). I walk past the room now and look in and no matter what, it makes me smile.
Dh and I also had a Santa photo on the weekend! Thought it would be fun, Dh wasn't too happy waiting on line (slightly embarrassed) but we've ended up with a great 1st X'mas baby photo, even if baby is hidden by my belly lol.
Hope everyone else is going ok, it's getting a little quiet for some and I hope that's just cause you're all bogged down with work and family committments.
Hi people,
I am loving hearing all the little tips too. It fits in nicely with what I have been reading about cluster feeding before night sleep so hopefully I can put it into practice if requred (that's if my brain retains that info for that long lol)
Had an eventful last couple of days here.
Yesterday had to go to Adelaide for DH to have 6 moles removed at the dermatologist/plastic surgeon (one on his lip!) and we had planned to go early in the day to avoid the heat and maybe go to the shops but we had a very late night the night before due to me.... I had my last day at work and came home quite tired although I had taken it pretty easy. By tea time I felt terrible with back ache and pain in my lower abdo. I havent had any ligament pain before so didnt know if that was the reason or not. On top of that I had had diahorea for 1 1/2days too and was having some cramping. By 9pm I rang the midwife at the hospital as I wondered if I was in prelabour already. We went in to be checked but because of various things including the dr having to induce someone and do an emergency ceaser, we didnt get to see him till 1am! By that time I had pretty much figured it all out and what he had to say confirmed it was just a combination of fatigue (back pain) ligaments responding to relaxin hormone and cramping due to funny tummy. Whew!! Thank goodness for that as I would have had to go to adelaide if I went into labour before 36 weeks. In the end, no problem just a bit tired the next day!
Kimbe, great stuff on getting the nursery started, yes it doe give you that feeling that a little someone is on their way pretty soon. I too cannot walk past the room and stop to have a good glance at it.
Jo hope all is well, Monnie and Mako, thanks for sharing your experiences….
Well on the radio today, an add for Mangoes, it stated that Mangoes have 3 times more the vitamin A than the recommended daily intake….. It was like a punch in the gut, because as far as I was aware, during pregnancy it shouldn’t be too high…So I did some research and it states that high doses of Vitamin A are dangerous in the first trimester as it can cause deformities or miscarriages, and that staying under 10,000IU should be fine. Mangoes have 1235IU.
Does anyone have any info on Vitamin A, or what are your thoughts on this… DH is pretty upset and so am i.
Hi girls. Sorry I haven't been around in so long. I have still been suffering quite badly with sickness although the last couple of days it has just been in the morning instead of all day long. I find I just lay down when I get home from work hence the reason why I haven't been around much. We had another scan with my FS (our last visit with her) and the babies are growing so quickly. They are so beautiful. My belly is even starting to pop out already which is slightly scary so early.
I am trying to catch up so I will have to come back in and do some personals when I can. I am so sorry this is a selfish post I really do think about all of you all the time and can't wait until I feel better to come and spend more time with you all.
Big kisses and bellyrubs to you all xxx
Big Hello girlies :hello:
Sorry for the absence dh and I have been to the sunshine coast for a holiday. Finally bought my tankini and bigger nana style bottoms so as not to scare the children on the beach:D but at least I look preggers now.
Kt- Im sorry your having such a bad time, it really does got better
missy - welcome and congrats
Jo - I hope you let us know when jenna settles down and things start to get easier.
Kimbe - you are so cute having a photo with santa, I cant wait for that next year, in fact im more excited about christmas next year than this one! typically impatient ;)
So who is next...is it Sazz?......christmas marks my halfway point, im not allowed to by anything till after that point according to dh....so bring on 2008 :D
xx
Quick hello before the weekend. Hope all's well with everyone. All's still good at my end. Had the pleasure of practicing with a 4 yr old Wednesday night and all went well...though, in the morning he needed a little help with some wipeing in the bathroom and for some crazy reason, he called for me rather than DH - yuck! I drove to work fearing i may smell of poop...obviously i didn't, but that didn't change the paranoia hehehe. Dreading those nappy gifts already. Have an awesome weekend everyone, whatever you're doing!
Well hello gils, and gees is it hot here in Vic......Lucky for DH and I we got our new air con put in yesterday so all is great....hope you girls are staying cool and keeping well.
Ltl Panda - yes, very hot. I had doggie school too from 11-12, so you can imagine how i felt! All the flies don't help either! Last lesson today until next year now, so that's a relief.
Marcellus - not sure when you are back - hope you had a great time.
We are off now to do the GOR for a week. I desperatley need some new clothes. And we have DH's Xmas party on Sunday when we get back...eeek, no idea what to wear to that either.
Hope everyone is well - have a good week and i'll try to catch up with the news in a week or so.
:hello:
Jo
Hi all,
Hot here yesterday, about 36C so I opted to stay at home with the aircon while DH went to play tennis. Usually I go and watch and socialise but not this time especially as my feet have been blowing up like balloons in this weather. Hope you are all coping ok with it.
Had my baby shower today! I had kind of been dreading it but it was quite nice actually even though only about half the people invited couldnt come :( Got some lovely gifts and played a few silly games and had a nice lunch too so what more could I ask for?
Will come back later/tomorrow to chat more...
Hey all just a quick one for me today!
Monnie & Mako - thanks for all your advice, so glad I'm not the only one.
So I have figured out Jenna is so upset because having trouble bringing up wind so have started her on some infacol & it does help a little but still pretty whinging but from what I keep hearing that is the norm for all bubs around this time of evening.
Only had 3 hours sleep last night but lucky mum came over & let me have a rest this arvo.
To everyone when someone offers help, TAKE IT!
Sazz - not long for you now!!!
Monnie - when you cluster feed do you wake Felix up to feed him?
I have found to it's a very short time from when Jenna is happy awake & then like 2 minutes later she is overtired so you really have to look out for the warning signs.
Everyone else hope you are well & hopefully soon I can be a regular bb again.
Jo - 28 (treated endo)

Jenna Maree born 2 weeks early, now 3 weeks & 3 days old.
Hey DJTTC
Hang in there...I so agree with you..."when offered help, take it!!!"
When I cluster feed Felix he's awake...he doesn't sleep between about 3-9pm...I guess that's his awake period!
Sounds like you are doing a great job...the sleeping issue really does get better. I just kept reminding myself that Felix had to LEARN how to sleep. He really started getting it after about 7-8 weeks and now he sleeps really well.
Sazz...how exciting...you're next! Have you got your bags packed?
KTgirl...sorry to hear about the m/s! Must be all those amazing hormones that you are producing!
Hope everyone else is doing well...must get off to bed...really tired tonight!
Monnie - sorry to pick your brain but when you cluster feed is Felix looking for boob or do you just offer it to him?
I am thinking to try this, bub was awake pretty much all day today as she has such trouble with wind.
She would fall asleep in my arms & then wake up in pain with legs crunched up, did Felix suffer with this?
It's just awful seeing them in pain & not being able to do anything about it.

Jenna Maree is 3weeks & 4 days old
Hi everyone!
Jo, hope you are going ok with little Jenna's wind problem, poor little mite. I bet you find it so frustrating wanting to help her. Hope it sorts itself out soon for both of you.
I have mostly packed my bags now, just bits to go in there that I am using or wearing at the moment. It is hard to put clothes in there when I have such a small selection that fits anyhow! Just about organised though. Putting the finishing touches to the nursery like a mobile and shelves etc. Keep getting things out and looking at them hehe. Have had some lovely friends send us pressies already! It is sooo nice that everyone gets excited for us, for some reason I just didnt expect that. Can't seem to achieve much at home at the moment. How on earth did I have time to work only a couple of weeks ago with all the resting that is required? And my brain has gone to total jelly now: I am trying to sew a christening gown for bubs but keep having to unpick all the mistakes I make. grrr.
Hope you all are growing nicely and feeling good
Sazz
Hey Sazz, so happy for you hun, not long....glad you had a good baby shower...mine is on Sunday so I am looking forward to it.
Jo, hope you are ok, and hope Jenna does a few popoffs to relieve herself, poor darling, there is nothing like the discomfort of needing to fart and not being able to…
So who is next. I am now due on the 12th of Feb, my placenta has moved away from the cervix so I am ok to do a natural birth.
Hope everyone is well, belly rubs to all.
How exciting Sazz, its so close now......im so excited for you.
And I think you must be next Ltl Panda, so you must be getting excited too and I hope your baby shower goes well.
Me - I had my doc appointment yesterday and got to hear bubs heart beat which was very exciting, I think after the nausea had gone I kind of settled into the " i know im pregnant, but im not feeling pregnant" mentality. But the heart beat made it all real again.....and I thought was more exciting than the ultrasound.
And was pretty busy so have booked my 18week ultrasound for the week before xmas and have my first midwife appointment at 23weeks. I was getting frustrated with not having anything booked yet, so I guess this is a start:D
No obvious movements to report yet, had a little fluttering (but have had that for a while) and get an obvious dull pain when in certain positions but nothing else.
Hope you are all feeling good
Belly rubs for everyone :bellyrubs:
