Aaand love the new look Sal :)
Oh yeah! Only just noticed the Av, once Tam pointed it out.... looking very beautiful there Sal.
hehe thanks girls, I just wish my tummy would look that tidy!
Yep Keen, Tiff is a certified hypnobirthing instructor. And midwife. And supermum. Gee I wish she could be around to help deliver my bub!
Excellent....
Sal, I almost didn't notice the bump. How gorgeous you are!!
Woohoo Gab, that is fantastic!!! How proud you must be =D>
Can't remember what ekse was new, not on my computer, so have to be quick!
Had my scan today!! All is going well, nice strong steady heartbeat 153 (I think?) Was a bit overwhelmed, as what was expected DID happen and we have TWINS on board.
Twin 1 is 0.78cm and twin 2 is 0.73cm.
I'm 6 weeks and 4 days, so obv you don't go by the first day of AF, in my case anyway! So i'm due around the 4th March, will prob know more next scan.
Catch everyone in a couple of days! And hope everything is well
Jo
OMG another set of twins!!! Well done Jo :D
OMG OMG!!! WOW Jo thats fantastic Congratulations!
Congrats on your new av sal ;) I can't wait to have a new av!!!! I also can't wait till my next scan LOL impatient hey?
Hope everyone is doing well, I am tired so might hit the hay early tonight!
*hugs*
Cailin
Oh, I did see correctly in the PG announcements forum!!! Another set of twins!!! YIPPEEEE!!!!
Congratulations Jo!
And congratulations Gab on passing your exams and for expecting a gorgeous little boy!!
Ahhhhhhhhhh! Jo I am so thrilled for you, you and your DH must be on cloud nine! What brilliant news. I was checking all yesterday to see how you got on and I am just thrilled for you.
Look forward to seeing your ticker, do you think you'll post the scan?
Take care everyone
Gab - Huge congrats on the exam, what great news - you're a star!!
OMG Jo CONGRATS! :cheer: Twins, wow, I guess that's not a huge surprise, given your BT results, but how amazing for you to see two little bubs in there with strong heartbeats. Hey, you gotta get a ticker now, you promised! And if you have the techy time to post your u/s piccies, that would be lovely too.
So Amy, you're the next up for a scan! Can't wait to hear how you go. If you've got twins as well I think I'll fall off my chair (...softly, to not hurt bubby ;) )
Cailin, thanks I think my av is cute! I'm looking forward to seeing you with a preg belly, it's not that far off now!
Amy - have you got an av on order? Can't wait to see what you look like :D
Congrats Jo!!! You must be over the Moon!!!
Well done on your Exam Gab! You must be so relieved!!
Tanya
Sal - I haven't done anything about my AV yet. Was kind of waiting until 12 weeks then I might ask for one with a wee belly!
Think I might fall off my chair if I saw two at my scan too! I told DH if there's two then he has to pay for my tummy tuck afterwards!
Wow Jo, Twins, I just knew it!!!!
Tam, when is your scan?
Jo, I saw in the pg announcements that you have a ticker for Jack, now I can understand why you didn't have a ticker! I'd just never seen it before - what a cutie he is.
Sal my scan is not until next Thurs. Still ages away. I just want to see them again and know that everything is ok. I know I am a worry...
Bummer that you have to wait so long! But on the upside your bubbies will be that much bigger. When you have twins, you can't do the triple test for Downs, can you? You just have the NT measurement and that's it?
Yes Sal, very clever!!!
Thanks Shannon! I have all fingers and toes crossed that Jessalyn's biopsy results are the best possible. [-o<
Oh Jo, honey just wanted to pop my head in and say how excited I am for you and DH and Jack!
Cant believe the number of twins lately!! Wonder if the trend will continue??? Amy.... 8-[
;)
Jo, that is great, very exciting, somethings rubbing off on the twin front.
Everyone's progress is going good, take care
Thanks guys. It's sort have sunk in a little more today and I'm a teeny bit excited, cannot keep the grin off my face. But am still very hesitant about getting *too* excited.
I do have a webpage in the making, but it's only got the rememberance page on it for the cats :-s at the moment LOL these things take time! So if you bare with me I will scan the u/s pic and pop it on the page in the next few days.
I had a look at Jack's pic at this stage and he was only 0.65cm long! Both the twins are bigger, must be heffier lumps!
And I will get a new ticker. Jack will not mind being taken off for the moment. that is supposing that Astro is about when I stuff it ROFLMAO!
Hope everyone is fine, Amy it's your turn next. The countdown for the next scan is on!
Take care all!
Jo
Jo - congratulations on the twins!! Jack will be so excited.
Gabby - Yippee on passing your exam! Can I be the first person you operate on? I'm sure I have some body part that needs fixing ...
Hugs to all.
Mel
Congratulations Jo -that is sensational -did you suspect at all ? what date do they count pregnancy from in IVF ? if it isn't AF ?
There must be something catching on the boards -a run of success and double blessings lately
I will be happy with one but still putting two back - if I get that far [-o<
Gabby -great news on you passing are you a general surgeon or do you have speciality
I didn't know that about triple screen and twins :-s
Congratulations Jo - I am so happy for you, DH and DS. An addition of 2 to your family!!!!! Yay!
Gab- Congrats also on passing the dreaded exams, it must be a real load off of your mind after studying for so long.
Sal- Looking good with the bump!
Mel and Keen- Still sending good vibes your way. Mel, in the 2ww, you poor thing. Just remember to lie in bed each night and do some good visualising of the embie sticking!!!
As you can see I now have a new ticker, it was pretty hard to find something that had the twin slider and didn't have a speck of green on it , I tell you that for nothing!!
Only problem is, why has it got that writing on the side???? Aaaaaaaaaaasssssstrooooooooooooooooo where are youuuuuuuuuuuu??
Dunno what I have done to it, but now it's here, it;s staying, now all I have to do is get the u/s pic onto a website, think I might rough a babiesonline one up for now until mine is finished or at least half finished!
Thanks Carrie, hope you are keeping well!
Hey Joja, I fixed your sig for you :)
*hugs*
Cailin
I was in the shower JoJa..... needed to yell a bit louder LMAO ;)
Love
Thanks Cailin! And thank you too Astro!
Hi Girls,
Jo - I love the new ticker ... Jack is even better looking up close! Can't wait to see the website.
Carrie - Thanks for your good vibes ... I'm sure I'm feeling them all the way over here! You read my mind ... I do visualise the embryos burrowing at night when I'm in bed. It's the only time I'll let myself go down that road!
Sal - Your studies sound really interesting, particularly the developmental psych and the counselling. I did a little bit of dev. psych about 19 years ago when I was studying to be a teacher. It was one of the units I actually enjoyed from memory! You are a good student, putting in eight hours a day. Phenomenal! Good luck with it.
Not much happening here ... just roasting my back in front of the heater, fighting for space with a geriatric cat who won't give an inch. Hope everyone else is nice and toasty this fine evening.
Talk to you all soon.
Mel
tsk tsk Mel, that photo makes him look like he has a starwars head LOL!!
I brought myself a new whizzbang digital camera (you know the ones, that somehow put the pics on the comp!!) Once I have worked out the basics, I will get another pic of my boy. (Without the starwars head!)
I can't put my website on in my profile page, does anyone know how to do it?
I'm due Saturday, March 04, 2006 - Visit My Babies Online Pregnancy Journal
Or do I have the wrong code?
Cheers!
Joja try this:
I'm due Saturday, March 04, 2006 - Visit My Babies Online Pregnancy Journal
Thats BBcode, what you were doing was HTML tags :)
*hugs*
Cailin
Hi girls!
Wow, things have really been humming along here! I don't know you go away for a week and everything changes!!!
Sal, love your av!
Jo Congrats on the twinnies!
Gab, Yay on passing that exam!!!
Sal and Keen, Shucks girls, thanks for your kind words. I love the whole idea of mind over matter. I have a lot of colleagues who believe that childbirth just can't be done without pain relief, it's weird listening to it. I agree though Keen, each to their own and you certainly have to be in a frame of mind to labour without drugs. I could go on and on about how amazing our bodies are and how we have the ability to block the 'pain' of labour and how fear of giving birth plays such a big role in the sensations we feel eg; contractions and the associated 'pain' but I'd better not, It would be a VERY long post!
Tam, glad to see you are 12 weeks.
Cai, Amy, hope things are going well for you both.
Melbo - you are so special, thank you for that kind PM before I went away.
In fact, thank you, Sal, Keen, Sushee and Tam for all your kind words.
I am so glad to be home. I started spotting on the way to Tasmania (the day after my little vent here). I've had spotting with all of my pgs but this just kept coming. By the time I got on the boat I was beside myself! Lucky, I had my trusty doppler with me (I love being a midwife) and could get one of the foetal hearts. I kept on spotting for the best part of the twn days. I can only get one hb (because I only have one doppler) I hope. We phoned the specialist on Friday, when I couldn't take it any more and he reassured me that because I had uterine rupture with William, everything would be different, more painful stretching because of the scar tissue protesting and more implantation bleeding because it's twins. So, I know there is one baby in there and just hope that my other little one hasn't checked out on me. Will know more tomorrow and will let you guys know when I get home. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Tiggy - Hope everything is AOK tomorrow, fingers crossed, but I'm sure you don't need them :)
My scan is now on a WWW page (Thanks CAilin!) It's nothing flash, but will do for now!
Hope everyone had a good w/end and a better sfternoon than me!
Tiff I am thinking of you. Please let us know how you get on with the scan.
Tiff, it's great to have you back. What a shame that you had to be so worried while on holiday. I have everything crossed that tomorrow you'll find two littl'uns still kicking around. [-o<
Jo, love your ticker! Will now go check out your twins!
Hi all, well semester has officially started, so my posting rate will be slower. Nothing to report from me except that I'm a bit grumpy today owing to having had a headache since yesterday arvo (including having it all night, which is always bad for me).
Tiff - [-o< for you getting a great result at the docs...
