Thanks
Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the sympathy. While it's still exhausting, I seem to have gotten used to the nausea and can manage it a bit (by constantly eating- I don't leave the house without a whole lot of salada). Strangely enough work helps. I'd been dreading it but it does provide a nice distraction (as one of you [sorry forgot who] had suggested)
My luck really increased yesterday though when the vomiting began, seven weeks on the dot. These last two days it has only been in the morning and I hope it stays that way. I'm a high school teacher and if I had to vomit in front of the kids in class I think it would permanently scar them (or teach them to use condoms)

lise great idea on using murphys law. Hope it works for you!!
Brunette great results from your scan. Yes the worrying will never end from now on, even once our kids are all grown up we will still have something to worry about!
MissK definitely have the 4D scan. It was the most amazing experience. We took both our mothers along and they were in awe! Was truly a magical experience.
Mum2Be restless nights could be due to your mind being in overdrive from all the excitement. Im sure it will settle soon but if you are concerned and struggling, maybe a visit to the Dr might help and you can get some suggestions on the best way to get some much needed rest.
Had my GTT yesterday and it went ok. Felt really nauseous during the waiting period. Fasting combined with a horrible tasting drink dont go hand in hand thats for sure. Will hopefully get results on Tuesday at my Obs appointment. Got to hold a 2 day old bub yesterday. OMG i was just speechless holding him thinking that in 8 weeks time i will be holding my own lil miracle. Amazing to be reminded at just how tiny they are when they are born. Second antenatal class tonight so looking forward to that.
-
mum-2-be - Its been happening to me since 6 weeks and it happens more the further you get along :p
Paula - *cringes at the yukky drink* did you hold your breath? I hope your results are all good!!! How adorable 2 weeks old I wish they'd stay that tiny!!! Are you enjoying your antenatal classes? I am def def going to do the 4d :)
Maggie - You poor thing my friend was exactly the same but at 12-14 weeks she didn't have it anymore! And LOL at teaching them to use condoms hahahaha! What grade do you teach?
-
Hi lovely ladies!
Paula - KWYM about the GTT, its so yuck, isn't it? I reckon the fasting and the drink alone could induce diabetes  Hope your results are great for you.
Maggie - hope you're feeling not too poorly, that sucks that you're starting to vomit too - not fair! I did my first chuck the other night during dinner (I hadn't eaten enough during the day - should've carried Saladas like you!) - it sure shut DH up, who had previously been ribbing me that I couldn't possibly have MS coz it was night time.
Mum-2-be - I too have had a bit of trouble sleeping, I've read in a couple of places that its quite common. A combo of brain in overdrive as Paula said, and surging hormones. I try warm milk before bed, and lavender oil on a tissue next to my pillow. Hope this helps?
MissK - your 4D scan sounds exciting! Sorry to hear about the name thief, I'd be so cranky...
Lise - love the plan to keep busy! Sounds wonderful. Hope there is some "movement at the station" for you very soon.
MissAma - :hello: welcome to the thread!
Brunette - fantastic news about your nuchal scan! What a relief for you. I'm starting to stress about mine in 2 weeks, the next in a long line of things to worry about, I guess
Juniper and CK77 - so sorry about my stuff up re the baby bonus! I'll have to add "inability to read properly" to my list of woes at the moment! Yes, MUCH better that its the 6 months after the birth.
LondonMiss - you are an absolute scream! Always have a good chuckle at your posts. Hope all is going well for you and you're not TOO uncomfortable.
Ninah, KitKat, glenny_c, and to anyone I've missed - a big HI! and :bellyrubs: to you.
AFM - Not much to report, passed my first GTT thank god, got another one in 6 weeks though  Have just noticed in the last couple of days that my pants are getting a bit tight, wondering if this is too early?! I've been told that I should aim to only put on 6 or 7 kg due to the PCOS / my current weight, ahhh, another thing to stress about! :D
-
Leabie - I wouldn't worry about how much weight you put on nor when in your pregnancy you put it on unless it gets really out of control!! I was doing so well for most of my pregnancy and then a couple of weeks ago it seems I put on about 4kg in one week!!! I've now put on nearly 20kg which is WAY more than what the 'experts' say I should have but at every OB appointment blood pressure and other tests are fine so i'm not worried and i've never been weighed or asked about my weight by my OB so i'm assuming she doesn't care either.
Paula - why did you have to fast with your GTT? I didn't have to...?
Maggie - if your class if old enough then I think you SHOULD vomit in front of them and tell them all horror stories - I reckon it would be a much more effective form on sex ed and birth control than distributing condoms ;)
MissK - hope you enjoy your scan, we had a 4D scan done at 28 and 33 weeks and they were both great though the chicklet was in bad positions for both so not so great footage but still magical!
mum-to-be - hate to tell you this but you're not going to get a full night sleep again for many years, and it only gets worse...
AFM - nothing new to report. OB appointment tomorrow and i'll be praying that she says the chicklet has dropped, not sure how much further down he can go before my bladder just completely bursts!!!
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all going well xx
-
Leabie, I'm glad you passed your GTT!! If it's any comfort, my work pants have been too tight since about 4wks even though I've actually lost about 4kg since transfer. I've been wearing my jeans to work since my beta. I'm in a similar boat to you that I need to watch my weight since I'm already very big.

Good Morning All:D
Mum-2-be - :hello:congratulations honey, it is great to see you over here. I too experienced the lack of sleep initially, then it settled and now this week it is back! Could have something to do with the fact i need to go to the loo every 3 hours!!! Hope it settles down for you.
Lise - Hows the plans going? Hope your app goes well today and you get some good news. Gosh it is weird to think that this time next week your bundle of joy could be here!
Londonmiss - hi, i would have had to ask her to take the bangles off!! Hope it didn't put you off too much. Hope all is going well with you and bub.
Maggie - Sorry the vomiting started luv. I don't like to say it too loud cause i might jinks myself but mine has finally statred to wear off, at least till about 5 in the arvo! So fingers crossed for you it doesn't last too long. Keep eating
MissK - Wow i can't wait to get my 3D one done next week, can't imagine what a 4D one would be like. It is amazing what they can do these days.
Paula - Thanks i will open the box and just check, i didn't think of it that way. It must be a great feeling to see everything set up and ready. Are you a pink person for girls?
Brunette - great news about your scan, especially that the twins look great!! I have had my BT done and have my scan next wed, am very excitied! Hows the bed rest coming along, are you allowed up and about a bit more?
Miss Ama - Welcome and GL with the move.
CK77 - Hope you are keeping warm in Tassie. I have unfortunately gone off the taste of cadbury chocolate, which is my favourite!!! But i am loving any type of chip i can get my hands on:D
Ninah - Will put some pics up when it is set up. I can only imagine what it must be like to see that capsule in the back seat, makes it that little bit more real and close!!!!
Wantbaby2 - Men and their friends hey! Hope you and your DS are feeling better and are enjoying a lovely week together.
Juniper & Leabie - Hi , hope all is going well ladies.
Hi and sorry to anyone i missed, i really tried not to miss anyone. But hope you are doing great if i did!!!
AFM - Touch wood my MS had started to ease off this week:dance:(at least till about 5 in the arvo). Not much else is happening, just waiting for my scan next wed which both DH and i are very excitied about. Have a day off today which is great! Time to get some house work done:doh:

Still here LM  Had Indian for dinner last night but it had more impact on DH than me, hehehe! OB appointment today so fingers crossed she says i'm engaged and ready to go!!
Very cross with DH this morning. I had a dreadful sleep last night, just the usual of waking up every 1-1.5 hours for the toilet and unable to sleep due to feeling uncomfortable. DH got up at 6am to do stuff so I had the bed to myself and managed to have a whole 2.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep - until DH decided it was time I got out of bed and stood at the bedroom door whispering things to me until I woke up. He then had the nerve to get cross at ME when I asked him why he woke me up when he KNOWS I don't sleep well at night and that was the longest stretch I'd had in ages. Really... :wall:

Hi Ladies :hello:
Last day in Tasmania, fly out to Brissie in a few hours. I am definitely not built for the cold. However, I've got $100 a day food allowance, OMG I have been utilising that!! dessert EVERY night!
Brunette - so glad all went well with the NT scan. I did mine at a place in Astor Tce Spring Hill, and did my BT the week prior so they combined it all while I was there and we got the results and DVD on the spot. Dont think I could have waited for the results. As for Nth West's antenatel classes, I think there are prices on their website so I'm figuring I'll have to pay as my private cover has limited extras.
WantBaby#2 - Hope DH is sucking up while he's out of town and sending you lovely messages or touching base with you regularly. Bloody men.
Mum2Be - welcome! yay!!!!!!! Sleepless/Restless nights? Yep.
Paula - good luck with your GTT on Tuesday, and Leabie - great news that yours was all good.
Renee - so pleased to hear that your MS is easing a bit. Fingers crossed you're nearly done with it!
Lise - wow, what are you feeling now that it's so close? Excited, scared, over it?
To everyone else, big belly rubs and have a great weekend!
Chrissy xx

Renee, I'm glad to hear the m/s has eased off.
Lise, I've been craving indian for a couple of weeks now. I've really got to talk DH into picking some up. Sorry to hear your DH is being clueless about your need for sleep.
Chrissy, I'd love to try winter in Tassie at some stage, just so I can appreciate that it's not really that cold here in Brissie. Glad to hear you've been enjoying your food allowance! ;) No doubt I'll be doing similar in August when I head to Sydney for a conference.
Afm, we had our first scan this morning. I was so worried about us running late that we ended up arriving 30 mins early. Our FS was then running 45 mins late... But the good news is that we have one little bub measuring exactly on time (7w2d - my ticker is a day behind until 3pm EST) and we saw the heartbeat but he didn't measure it. Now we have to pick an OB sooner rather than later. Even though we live close to North West, DH is thinking we should go to the Mater and I tend to agree. Since my BMI is (just) over 35 I think they're probably better equipped in case we have a problem. Decisions, decisions...
ETA: somehow I think I should have just taken the day off work because I think I'll be spending more time researching OBs than doing work today... And our beautiful little Berry is making me very sick today too...

O.k Here i go...again!! I typed a whole page yesterday whilst enduring a bad headache only to knock the cable out the side of the laptop to lose EVERYTHING.I had to sleep on it before i got the patience to try again.
Im not doing personals as to be honest,im quite stupid these days and trying to remember each and everyone,i will do a general chat.
Re:3d/4d scans.I asked about getting one done (some may remember this but for the newbies..) at my 19 week morphology and was told by Sydney Ultrasound for women, that they strongly advise AGAINST these type of scans when used for mere 'entertainment' purposes. They were designed to pick up,deformities and abnormalities and have not yet been proved to be entirely safe due to being relatively new. I found this very interesting and DH and my mum who were in the room strongly put forward their opinions and said they wouldnt risk it,and after some thought on the drive home, decided it wasnt worth it either......ANYWAY weeks went by and i was sent for a growth scan only 2-3 weeks ago and i thought,i might ask for a 3d/4d scan as curiosity was getting the better of me.I went in,did the growth scan and asked, only to be told the exact same thing. This was an entirely different place, yet the opinions were the same.It seems, that actual medical sonographers/places wont do them.So i am now waiting til the end to see what my baby will look like.
I think the pics look great.I have seen Paulas on FB and they are soooooo cute but wherever i go,i get told they wont do them.I wish i had some pics but my 2d video and pics keep my happy and i guess i know everything else about this baby..sex,name,date she will be born,so it will be nice to have something to look forward to. :) I thought this was useful info for the newcomers to the thread that havnt been given this info.Im just sharing it and not giving my opinion...im not a dr.
Lise~ Hoping your app goes well.Cant wait to hear how things are progressing.
Paula~Am glad your enjoying your classes. Love your fb pic.Your still so tiny. But in a nice healthy way.I look like im carrying my bub on my knees,i carry soooo low.
Afm DH comes home tonight from being up near Taree since Monday and after that "episode' on Sunday,i refused to answer the phone and his texts all week until lastnight.I know,i know, that was harsh. He was worried like crazy, sending me txts saying how worried he was and to let him know i was ok and that he was sorry...blah blah blah.He couldnt ring anyone else as he only has his new work phone which only has my number and work mates/builders numbers etc. I gave in lastnight as i thought he suffered enough. he goes again on Monday for another week and its my bday sunday,so lets see what he plans.
Yesterday i was having a 'down' day.I had really sore groin pains, hip pains and leg pains..THEN after sculpting with my head down for 3-4 hours straight, ended up with a terrible headache.
I went to bed lastnight crying as i think this pregnancy is still so unreal.Ithe worrying NEVER stops and i know its mostly because of 6 yrs of trying to conceive but i still think something can go wrong.I need the next 5 weeks to hurry up.Im like a crazy person, rocking my belly with my hands to make her move so i know she is o.k.I wish July 23 will hurry up so i can hold her and know for sure she is o.k and that this is really happening.I know this sounds weird, but its like getting to the 12 week mark all over again!!Has anyone in third trimester thought like this or worried that the 'worry ' will never end.
