Congratulations LondonMiss on the birth of Charlotte. (Love the name BTW; it's on my shortlist if we have a girl). Can't wait to hear more about the birth - and the spunky doctor!
Leabie, Unfortunately we don't have many friends/family with secondhand baby furniture/clothes to give us, as in the main their children are a lot older and they've either given it away or sold it. I agree with you that time is flying by, but then when I'm the size of a house I may feel it's going a lot slower LOL!
MaggiePie, I agree with the others, an alcohol-free month is a good suggestion. Or you could try the detox line for health reasons. Some people are such busybodies, aren't they?
KitKat, Great news that you met your OB and liked him!
AFM, I felt (proper) movement last night and this morning. I have felt little bubbles for a while but this morning I felt two soft little jabs or kicks. It was so cute. We have our morph scan this Friday, when I'll be 19 weeks! Yay!
Hi to all the ladies I've missed. Belly rubs to everyone.
Congratulations Londonmiss on the safe arrival of your beautiful little girl. Love the name!!! Hope you are both doing well. I agree with the others we need more details about this hot doc :)!!!!

We had our NT scan today and thankfully got good results. Risk for Downs is 1:6630. Risk for Trisomy 18 and 13 were 1:16835 and 1:52631, respectively. Very happy. :D And today was the first time in around 8 weeks that I ate 3 meals! Admittedly, breakfast was only a museli bar, but still, I'm counting it... Also went for baseline bloods today and had a lovely chat with the phlebotomist as she extracted about 8 vials of blood. Turns out she had twins with IVF (now 18yo). Big day!
Congrats LondonMiss- Beautiful name!!!!
Thanks for doing the list Renee. It's so strange to see myself move up. I remember when I first went on the bottom of that list and people were amazed that there was a 2011 bub on the list already!! he he
Congrats to Londonmiss!
afm- Having another BT today as i was not happy with my starting HCG at 107 9dpt, even tho my FS said it was perfect. I hoping my numbers have at least doubled 3 times to 800, but heaps more would be better ;)
If my pg symptoms are anything to go by it should be up there.
x
Congratulations LondonMiss! Hope you are recovering well and bub is doing well also. Love the name - it is at the top of my girls list, however I think DH will take some convincing....
Glenny C I hope your friend is doing ok, I am hoping she gets some good news soon and that her IVF journey isn't too drawn out. And don't feel guilty about falling first cycle, just consider yourself blessed!
AFM - I am getting used to lying point blank to all the nosy people (work mainly) who keep asking am I pregnant yet. Now I don't even bat an eyelid. Talked to a close friend the other day and felt a bit bad for not telling her but she will understand when I do that I wasn't yet ready. DH and I are gloating that we have this little secret that no one else knows (apart from all you of course). And I think I must be having another girl as my libido has increased dramatically as it did with DD, but it was decreased with DS (sorry TMI!).
Take care everyone
Jaki80 - try not to stress too much about your first beta, if it makes you feel any better, mine was 97 at 11dp5dt!
MaggiePie - good on you for lying bald faced! Its kinda fun sometimes, isn't it? Noone will be mad at you once you tell them the good news.
Juniper76 - congratulations on your brilliant NT results! Its such a relief, isn't it?
Glenny_c - KWYM about moving up the list... we're a third of the way up already! :o
AFM - soooo excited, we've just booked our babymoon in October, going to Hervey Bay for a week  Got an awesome deal on Wotif, I love that site. I'll be 27 weeks by then, just at the end of 2nd trimester, hopefully I won't be too big to enjoy it!
Hello lovely ladies, hope you are all well.
CONGRATULATIONS TO LONDONMISS ON THE SAFE ARRIVAL OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL!!! :cheer:
What a great effort for logging into BB so soon and letting us all know. I hope you are resting & recovering and enjoying lots of special cuddles with your precious bundle. xx
Just want say big thank yous to Jaki, Juniper, MaggiePie, KitKat and leabie for your kind words & reassurance. I am feeling more positive now, i had another bt yesterday and levels still moving in the right direction so still looking good. Scan again on friday so will hopefully bring me some more ease....for a little while anyway!! :p
Juniper - Fantastic NT results  excellent news! Bet it is such a HUGE relief now, you can sit back and enjoy getting fat now!..the nice fat that we all want!
Leabie - Holiday in Hervey Bay sounds perfect, will you be there to see the whales?
MaggiePie - interesting what you say about increased libido for a girl...lucky for you anyway!! My poor DH has had no action for 2 mths now as am so scared to do anything incase it upsets bub. I know thats silly but my pg last year we did IT after the 7 week scan and then i later m/c. I know it was not the reason but i still dont feel comfortable with it for a while yet.
How does everyone else feel on this? Do you continue normal activities in the bedroom (other than sleep ;)
Brunette - YAH for feeling movement! Must be such a nice feeling ...and very reassuring. All the best with your scan on friday too.
GlennyC - I hope you friend is doing ok. But dont feel bad about getting lucky first go at IVF. as others have said, this conceiving game is really luck of the draw...unfortunately some have a harder time than others for no reason what so ever...there is no "fairness" in this at all. Coming from someone who has spent over 4 years on ivf and had 15 attempts believe me your friend is probably jealous of you right now....but it is by no means a personal thing, has nothing to do with you. She may find it hard to be around you or talk to you but just give her space & time and let her know you are there for her if she needs you. Its hard to be around pg women and babies when you are struggling on this journey. Hopefully good things are coming her way soon and you will be pg together.
Renee - Thanks for putting me on that list of due dates, but i still dont have the guts to put my due date up yet!! Maybe i will after the scan on friday. I said to the nurses at the clinic "please DONT tell me the due date" feel its tempting fate! Due dates after suffering a m/c is just so hearbreaking.
Jaki - Have you got your BT results yet? i hope levels are shooting up nicely for you :crossfingers:
Big hello & bellyrubs for all those i've missed. Enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are...its been raining ALL day here and my poor dog keeps looking at me hopefully for a w.a.l.k. but am afraid to tell him it wont be happening!! (dogs really can give filthy looks!)
See ya later chickies xx
Juniper, Your NT results are fantastic. Bet you and DH are very relieved. What "baseline bloods" are you having done? Hormone levels?
YogiBear, I had a really bad start to my PG and was put on bed rest till week 12/13. We were told definitely no sex until week 12, but even now that we've been given the okay I have not wanted to as I've been too scared! There's plenty of other things to do to keep each other amused, if you get my drift ...
Leabie, your babymoon in Hervey Bay for a week sounds lovely. DP and I are going away in two weeks time for three days to the south coast (south of Sydney) for my best friend's wedding. I am soooo looking forward to it. Maybe we should treat it like a mini babymoon )
Jaki, I know how hard it is - believe me - but try not to stress too much. As Leabie said, her HcG levels were lower than yours and she's doing fine, so try to take some reassurance from that.
GlennyC, I thought the same thing about the list and seeing myself moving up from the bottom. Bit scary really!
Hi Renee and thanks for updating the list!
Hello and belly rubs to all the ladies I've missed.
LondonMiss - big congratulations on the safe arrival of Charlotte :-) Look forward to more details when you've recovered and have the time ;-)
Yogi, I've been too scared to do anything other than sleep in the bedroom. Similar to you, we DTD while we were pg last time and then lost it, and even though it had nothing to do with it, it feels like tempting fate. I did give in once a few weeks ago (poor DH had gone without for so long with the IVF and everything), but then I worried for days after, so now any suggestion of that just reminds me of that worry.
Brunette, it was stuff like full blood count, rubella, etc, because the last time I had those done was a few months before we started TTC (almost 4 years ago). She also added tests for clotting to work out if I need to continue the aspirin the FS put me on.
Jaki, those numbers are great!
All this talk of babymoons is making me jealous. I really want one since we haven't had a holiday since Jan last year, but DH was only put on full time in March (previously on contract with the same place for a few years) and has said he can't take any annual leave this year because they're being jerks about him taking any holidays as usual (this started last year which is why it's been so long since we had a holiday). :( Not sure if that will change now that they know about bub.
Lol, they did tell him he had to put on a morning tea to make a big announcement to everyone. He has said (to me) that they can go jump on that one. I suggested telling them we can't afford to put on a morning tea for them because all our money goes to bub now... ;)
OT: does anyone know anything about patios? We're looking at getting one put in and trying to decide whether to pay the extra for an insulated roof.
Juniper- We didn't build a patio but a seperate deck down by the pool. I don't know if it makes any difference not being attached to the house but we didn't insulate the roof. And it's great. I think our patio has an insulated roof though so like I said, not sure if it's because it's attached to the house. Guess I've been no help at all! Sorry
xx
Thank you so much ladies. Im waiting for the call today but i feel way more confidant today after a huge bout of nausea yesterday arvo from the smell of my cooking! And then when i had a shower last night i couldn't believe the lasted change in my boobs! They have been sore and sensitive from the start but then suddenly my nipples are starting to change colour and my milk ducts have popped out, ALREADY!
I cant believe how fast my body is changing, its crazy.
x
Numbers are in.... hcg 940, thats at 16dp5dt so im pretty happy with that.
Will have another BT next weds again to make sure they keep climbing, then ultrasound the week after!!
x
Jaki - results are great! nausea is a very good sign also. I am still being sick and people always tell me how lucky i am cause i know for sure that i am pregnant. Thanks everyone i kind of know that without the sickness!!!
GlennyC- it is weird to see ourselves closer to the top of the list than the bottom. After Aug i think it will look quite scary!!
Brunette - how beautiful to feel your babies. I am still waiting, feeling flutters and can some times feel it shifting around but nothing like a kick yet.
Yogi Bear - I understand just let me now when you are ready and i will add it on the list.
juniper - i guess it depends where your patio is positioned and how much sun it gets. I would imagine they would recommend it if it was getting lots of sun in summer to keep it cooler under there. We will be looking into them soon also.
Hi and belly rubs to everyone else.
I edited the last list i did and made some corrections. My belly is starting to feel quite heavy now and has really popped this week. The kids at school noticed this week and were lovely and quiet cause and i quote one little girl "ssshh don't you know Mrs taylor's baby can hear all this noise and doesn't like it!!" Was very cute and i did play on it to keep them quiet:lol:
