Kicks... well I'm 25 weeks on Monday and still haven't felt any actual kicks (I'm pretty sure I had by this stage with my daughter). I've felt some movement... like flutteriing down low but so light that I can't feel it on the outside and I only started feeling that about 2 weeks ago. I can't remember with my daughter what stage I felt it on the outside but I'm pretty sure by around 28 weeks you could physically see it (see my stomach moving) as she was constantly kicking me - especially during some of my boring lectures (I was a fulltime postgrad student when I was pregnant with her).

bub due 28th Aug.

oneday with ds it was 17 weeks. with this one, despite assertions i'd feel it earlier, it wasn't til about 21 weeks :)
it also depends on where the placenta has attached and which way bub is facing.
maybe something like a doppler might help allay your fears so you can listen to the hb anytime you want to 'check' iykwim.

just spending the weekend washing the new bub's stuff and serilising pumps etc. finally feels like i'm getting sorted. Only 44 days for me!!!!!!!!! yyyyiippeee

Thanks ladies :) wierdly enough that very day i posted i was just sitting around all day as iv got the cold, i had my hand on my belly and i felt bub kick right where my hand was and alot that day after but today iv only felt that same movement down ther once? but i did read in up the duff that when we are walking around it puts bub to sleep and bub moves most at night when we are asleep, and today i was out and about with DH so maybe thats why i havnt noticed it much today? but it was the best ever yesterday and there was no mistaking thats what it was! i really want a doppler i just know i will stress if i cant find the hb??

:happyforyou: Kelly on the safe arrival of your beautiful two boys!

Hi
oneday - I've only just started getting regular, definite kicks. As you might remember I was always in here stressing that I hadn't felt anything for ages. I think my little one liked to sit down really low, facing the back and kick where I coulldn't feel it. Just saying so that you might not stress as much as me if you don't feel it very regularly for a while. Even now, this baby doesn't move anywhere near as much as DS did. This one just ain't a mover and a shaker.
Possums - you're not still on holidays are you? Getting very jealous now!
New pregnancy symptom - well, maybe not - I've got this kind of rash on the right side of my belly - not the bit that's getting stretched, it's kind of the love-handle side bit IYKWIM. Anyone heard of this? Don't think it's anything serious because I don't feel sick in any way (other than sick of having so much to do - I need a rest!). S'pose I'd better go ask the doc anyway - I hate being a paranoid preggy though - going there for something that's not even anything worth worrying about. Anyway, rambling now. DS is alseep and DH is at work, I think now might be MY time to chill. Goodnight ladies, xoxo

Grub - just saw my ticker and realised I have exactly twice as long as you to go. Feels good to have less than 100 days to go though
-
lol kaybee! you betcha it feels great to know the end is nigh.
sorry i ahven't been doing long persies like usual, i'm getting so tired atm and fat and my attention span is seriously waning.
I've been reading and just try to put my two bob in when i can. but i'm thinking of every single one of our special mummies!!!
dh is away this week, so that doesn't help with the tiredness and runnign after a very active 17month old.
only 2.5 weeks and i'm 37 weeks and good to safely have my bubba!!!! I sooo hope i go early as i'm over it. but trying to cherish this feeling of being preg cos DH reckons he's done :( even though we have one embie left which i'd like to use.... in 3 yrs time tho lol.
ugh off to put my fat swollen feet up and eat some icecream.

hi ladies
I'm zonked. Read all the post but like grub I have a date, mines with chocolate. I have been busy cleaning and weeding this weekend. I think now my HG finally has settled I have the new lease on life to get things done. Only problem is I feel like I have been in squat competition my legs are killing me.
-
Hi everyone, just hanging on the lounge, have worked my way through half a block of chocolate :). And DH says 'is that good for the baby?'. Big grin! We had our scan today, after a full minute freaking out after OB measures sac at 5 weeks, and I can see nothing inside thinking another blighted ovum, he pokes around a bit more and finds the fetal pole measuring 5w5d (I think I am 5w6d so close enough) and a little heart beating away!! So YAY so far so good. We have another scan on the 26 the we are off to Europe for 4 weeks, so hopefully I won't have much to to think/dwell/stress too much.
Sorry for the me post, will do persies when not on my phone. Xx
-
bdt - wwwoooohhhoooo!!! huge congrats!!! on the scan oxoxox enjoy europe, i'm so jealous! lol
jbm - is your scan today or tomorrow??? (or thurs lol). fingers crossed!!! hope all goes well sweetie.

dh is away atm and DS knows it so is being a bit of a toad, and exhausting me :( home on thursday arvo and he'll be on full on toddler duty that night. My belly is so big now (120cm round! which is what it was at full term with DS aarrgghh) that its uncomfy to have DS on my lap.
god i hate morning television. oxox

afm- had such a nice break and DH and I love feeling our little man wriggle around in there now :) I feel healthy and fit overall and have been walking lots/yoga etc (although a bit slower than usual, lol)...and it's just the head pounding thing which I have as an annoying symptom and which does slow me down.
I have my MRI scan of my head tonight, bit nervous but hopefully this is just a check and all will be fine.
Looking forward to our next scan too in coming weeks, just so I know all is ok in there too. We have decided to travel an hour away so we can see a private Ob.

Hey girls!!!
Possums - hope all goes well with your head scan. Thinking of you.
Grub - I hate morning tv too!!! Not long for you now. Hope that little rascal is behaving himself. Cheeky monkey ;)
BDT - it's all looking good for you. There is nothing as sweet as hearing that heartbeat. And a holiday soon - no! Your life always sounds so perfect. Enjoy.
JBM - Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Another exciting moment in this forum :)
Hi to Trishy, Kaybee, Farmgirl, OneDay & Dreamrise :grouphug:
AFM: Kickidy kick kick kick! Can't believe I have 13 weeks left. It's going so quick!!!
It's a grim day on the Gold Coast with all those murders!!! Robina is right near me. My poor BIL was the policeman who found the car outside Casino in NSW with the father and 5 y.o. girl, and smashed through the windows to confirm they were deceased. Thank god the policeforce insist on counselling. He's a father to 2 little one's himself, so this incident would have gutted him. Even though it's the nature of their jobs...............
I'm so saddened by this, just like the rest of Australia. Can't believe all this stuff around broken down relationships and custody battles at the moment. I mean it's always going on, but I suppose the current economic climate may make things more desperate for people in these situations too (I know crime in general has increased dramatically on the Gold Coast this year). Either way it's definitely been highlighted the past couple of weeks.
A reminder that children are just so precious..............that poor little girl :(
-
oh MH poor BIL :( i was thinking of those coppers who had to deal with that scene yesterday and how awful it would have been for them, despite 'training'. ox
possums... what if they find nothing in your head!!!! bbaahhhaa... Okay, sorry I just couldn't help it. Serioulsy tho, good luck hun. I really hope it's really just "one of those weird preggy things''. oxox
oh jbm i'm going to be busting my gut to get on tomorrow to see if you've posted... i see it's in the arvo so that means we all have to wait!! how annoying! good luck!!!
yeah DS has been great (for a 17month old that is lol) today! he even went to sleep at midday when i put him down (instead of playing silly buggers for 2 hrs and waking over tired and cranky). He's just here at my feet with a toy koala and wombat giving them kisses and me cheesy smiles in between lol. He said garbage truck and cheese stick today! I know this is wayyy off for most of you, but word to the wise... k mart has $2 plastic cookware!! toddler gold especially when tryign to do the groceries!!! he happily played with his new measuring cup set, juicer, colander and measuring jug for the whole grocery trip!!!

Hey just a quickie from me because I have some important chocolate and tv to catch up on.
Possums - good luck for your scan. Hope they can set your mind at rest there and then so you don't have to wait for the results. Let us know xoxo
Sorry - I seriously need to go and lie down
have a good one xo
-
Hi everyone
sorry just a quickie from me too!
grub - so close now hope you're ok with dh away, ds sounds cute
jbm - cant wait to hear you news, oh the anticipation, don't scare yourself thinking negative things (easy to say), but hope you get lots of reassurance from your scan
bdt - yay so good
possums - good luck for your mri results, so glad you and dh are enjoying feeling bub move!
mindhugs - oh dear, poor bil, such a horrible story, my heart really goes out to all involved, hope you're going ok with your little kicking machine, so reassuring to feel them move all the time
kaybee, trishy, oneday, fam girl, williever, bugs mum, DR and .....everyone else - hope you're keeping ok
AFM - nothing super exciting, have had a sick little one with asthma and slept in hospital with her over the weekend but hoping she's ok now. had another ultrasound today, as I had another acute pain spasm/attack over the weekend. Dr thinks it might be a rumbling appendix or a seed/nut in my appendix irritating it and causing pain. But I got to have another ultrasound and see bub - I'm 25 weeks and 5 days now and bub was still doing somersaults, so crazy, I don't think my other babies moved that much in the womb, am hoping she's nice and placid when she comes out but am starting to worry - eek. As long as they're healthy though :)
Hope you're all having a good week.

Hi everyone,
Working from home today so just dropping in while I have my morning cuppa - then better got to work - so just a quick post!
Got by BT results and all looking good, my antinuclear antibodies have gone from high (when we had to do IVF) to low (which is clearly why we got pg) so only have to take aspirin - no heparin injections:leap:
GP wont give me a referal for a 6wk scan - argues that there is no point as if everything is not ok, a scan is not going to fix it. Not sure how I feel about that as I think I would just like to know with a little bit more certainty how things are looking, but oh well thats the medical profession for you! Now working out when to see th ob - last time I had to start seeing him from 8wks but not sure this time...
Possums - glad that you are going well and good luck with the MRI :crossfingers:
BDT - :leap: about the heart beat - great news and looks like a wonderful h&h 9 months for you and bub!
JBM - wishing you all the best for your scan :crossfingers: that it all goes well (which of course it will)
Oneday - I think I first felt a kick with DS when I was at about 18wks but I did not know what it was at the time (but to be honest it really started at about 21wks and it was then that i realised I felt a kick at 18wks) - but I remember the ob a few weeks before doing the ultrasound and seeing DS kick me and saying 'didnt you feel that, what about that?' and I was just looking at him blankly thinking I'm not feeling a thing! It is a stress but once it happens it is wonderful (if not slightly annoying after a while when it happens when you want to sleep!)
Mindhugs - it is distressing enought to hear about those sorts of things without knowing people who are involved either directly or through the emerg services. I hope that your BIL and his family get lots of support - no matter what someone does for a living they should never have to come across an incident like that.
Hello to everyone else - sorry for missing personals but had better do some work!
