Sorry I've been MIA, work has cracked down on how much social media we use and thats where I do most of my posts because I work by the computer all day everyday so when I have my days off I just like to chill and do other things. thanks for all your lovely congrats again!

Hi to anyone I may have missed.
AFM ~ still kinda taking one day at a time but really wanting time to fly by, I just want to get to a point that I feel comfortable that all will be fine, think that will be a long way off. I know I need to be patient and enjoy the pregnancy but its very hard not to worry. Had OB appointment today but my NT scan and blood results weren't in grrr. Its been 2 weeks since the blood test and one since the scan. Im pretty sure I'll be low risk and fine anyway though. Now just a wait I guess until about 20 weeks for my next scan. Starting to look at buying some things which is exciting!

loops: the cold is slowly going. it's hard not to worry, it's our job as finally getting pregnant LTTC ers. he he. now we just counting down to feling first movements maybe about 16 weeks , then 20 week scan. best of luck to you. x o
me him bub: only 4 days to go now. lets hope you don't go over. you need to wear your best nickers as this is proven to make your waters break. LOL. i can't wait to hear and tell everyone. he he. we have done so much packing, i have been bossing and supervising, no lifting for me. lol. all is going well. not long til we move now.
AFM: had a lovely lunch date to celebrate anniversary today. it was so yummy. i am still full. baby is kicking heaps right now, i can see my tummy jumping. lol. he's saying hi to you all.

Hi ladies,
Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was very quiet - DS has hand foot and mouth disease and is rather contagious so we stayed home and did nothing. I should of cleaned the house but I was feeling too lazy so it's still messy and starting to bug me. I need DH to vacuum and dust as I have severe hay fever but he was busy doing other things...
Hope you had a nice anniversary JBM! How many years?!
Loops, sooooo frustrating waiting for those results isn't it? They don't seem to realise how anxious we are to see that everything is fine (which I'm sure it is!) and how excruciating we find the wait. Hope you hear soon xx
M+H+B - hope you're holding your little one very soon, and that you're feeling well in the meantime!
Hope everyone else's going well. I think ms has started, I avoided it with DS and was hoping to do the same this time but it seems not. I don't feel too bad, just queasy most of the day and I have gone off red meat and vegetables and am craving chocolate and sugar. And DS is still contagious so I can't go to the shops to buy anything yummy, which makes me want chocolate even more!!!

Lise – Congratulations on your natural miracle :dance:! Such wonderful news. I am in the same boat… managed to miss the morning sickness altogether with DS and this time round am finding it horrid even though it seems to be mild compared to some cases! I hope you are not feeling too bad and that it passes quickly.
We seem to be mirroring each other… DS had conjunctivitis all last week and was in total lock down. I am happy to report he has recovered now though. I hope your DS is on the mend now too..
JBM – Congratulations on your anniversary! Sounds like you had a great time with your DH. It is so important to celebrate special occasions and makes me think that DH and I are way, way overdue for a date night! Can’t event remember the last time we had one…. :think:.
Loops – I also sit at a computer all day and never feel like getting on when I am at home! Finding it hard to post at work at the moment too as I am doing higher duties and actually have to do some work, he, he!
I am with you on wanting time to fly and to get to a point where I feel comfortable. Yay, for starting the search for some baby items… if you are anything like me you will buy the whole shop and only use half of it, he, he! What are you looking at at the moment? So exciting…
MHB – Hope you are doing well hun… thinking of you! So exciting that you are so, so close… any minute now :hug:. I will keep an eye out for the exciting news!
Yogi Bear – I didn’t feel anything with DS until about 20weeks so try not to worry too much :hug:. I know it is hard not too…. you think I would be better 2nd time round but I think I am worse! I bought a Doppler with DS and found comfort in using that every few days in-between Ob appointments. I paid about $170 for it on ebay (I can PM the website as they are now an on-line shop) if you are interested.

AFM - I am feeling a little overwhelmed with things at the moment :(. I am doing higher duties at work (last week and this week) and am finding it really stressful. I am also working F/T for the two weeks instead of my usual 4 days which is taking it's toll (4 days is even hard!). Between working, DS and being pregnant I am really struggling with the whole exhaustion thing both mentally and physically.
Silly me also decided to use the doppler and of course couldn’t locate a heartbeat – arrgghh! I tried three times over 3 days and still nudda :(. I have been really stressed ever since but I know that it was probably too early to use it and we didn’t try with DS until I was about 16 weeks.
I really hope that all is ok…. I contacted my OB and had to confess to my doppler madness and they were kind enough to book me in for a reassurance scan tomorrow lunch. I am really, really nervous and am just :pray:’ing that all will be ok. I have officially banned myself from using the doppler again until I am at least 15 weeks!
Feeling guilty about not eating as healthy as I should be too… I should know better but have been going for the quick fixes and comfort food lately.

All the best for your scan today. Funny you should mention the doppler cause i was only searching for one on ebay yesterday, but have decided not to get one for the very reason you described!! If i couldn't find the heartbeat i would only freak-out even more! I must admit i'm getting anxious again these last few days, even thinking i might try and see my Ob this week just to hear the heartbeat, even though i'm seeing her and having a scan next week. Wish i could just relax and enjoy this a bit more, i am really trying but i'm just all too aware that everything can be taken away in the blind of an eye....life is just so precious.
JBM, congrats on your anniversary, hope you had a nice lunch.
lise, yeah am thinking of seeing my Ob this week to hear the heartbeat, just to have the reassurance to get me through another week! Sorry to hear DS is sick, hope he gets better soon. When is you first scan?

Loops, did they say when will you get your NT results? I'd be chasing that up if i were you, they should have them by now? I hope you get good results :crossfingers: But even if you dont....do what i ended up doing and throw the stats out the window!!!

I thought i had felt fluttering sensations over the weekend but last few days nothing again, so just dont know what to think? Just cant wait to see bub again at scan next friday....ahhhh the waiting it just never ends!! :)

sorry this is a "feel sorry for me" post!
so today is my due date and still nothing :( I have another appointment tomorrow so hopefully something will happen. I have developed a MASSIVE thrombosed roid and it has had me in tears for 3 days it is so so painful I have tried everything and I cannot imagine trying to give birth with this "thing" sticking out of my bum it is constant throbbing I have hardly slept I don't know what to do :( any ideas? I am too far along to have any type of surgery or banding, I just want some relief so I can at least walk into the hospital when it is time!

Yogi - hooray for flutters! How far along are you now? I didn't feel anything at all until 23 weeks, and to be honest I still don't feel a whole lot during the day, mostly just at night.
Coral - hope your scan goes well today - I'm sure it will :) If it makes you feel any better my midwife had trouble finding a heartbeat at my 28 week check, even though we could both feel baby moving around - my placenta's at the front so it gets in the way a bit! Hope work settles down again soon.
lise - hope your ds is feeling better soon, and the ms stays away!
JBM - congrats om your anniversary :)

afm - waiting, waiting, waiting! I'm getting worried that I'm not big enough - bubs was measuring over a week behind at my last appt, and I look more like I'm 6 months rather than close to 8. Always something to worry about isn't there? Next appt Friday, so hopefully she's caught up a bit

kass – Thank you :). I hope bubs catches up by your next appointment and can put your mind at ease..... It is hard not to worry about things so big :hug:.
MHB – OMG you poor thing… that sounds extremely painfull:(. I know when I had one after giving birth with my DS they gave me some cream which seemed to help but mine was not as painful as yours. Have you rung your Ob or MW? Maybe they can suggest something? It is hard enough being ready to pop without having to be in pain with no sleep on top of it! ((GBH)) for you, hun.
Yogi Bear – How exciting! I think it would have been bubs you felt – yay :dance:. On the doppler note… I agree with the freaking out if you can’t find the heartbeat so not such a bad idea to not get one! I never had trouble with finding it with DS but now that I couldn’t with Little Bean I am too afraid to use it. I would book in for a scan if you can just so as to put your mind at ease. The waiting in-between appointments is just torture and I believe that it should be a given that all LTTTC’ers should automatically qualify for weekly scans due to our tendancy to overstress :doh:!
AFM – I had my scan at lunch and am so, so happy to report that Little Bean is looking great and I even shed a little tear. DH was also extremely relieved... I think he was more worried than he let on cause he swore in relief when I called him! Heart Rate was 168 bpm so I am sticking to the high heart rate = girl, he, he! DS was only ever 140 – 145bpm so let’s hope the old wives tale rings true in this case :crossfingers:.
Feel so relived and now have my NT scan scheduled for next Friday so not too long to wait until we get to see Little Bean again – yay!

coral: yipee for your scan, i love this one as it is when baby looks more like a baby than a blob ( i always say this) . fingers crossed for a girl for you but as long as you have a healthy baby, thats all we really want at the end of the day. :-)
kass: i was VERY tiny with DS 1, i am about size now when i had him, so don't worry about it or try not too. i still had a big 8 pound baby and he was 3 weeks early. best of luck to you. x o

lise: oh i hope you don't get too bad morning sickness, i had it for about 6 months and it was NOT nice. i didn't throw up at all just felt like i was going to...... a LOT, good luck to you.

AFM: well i went to see my sis and new baby..... so cute...... had lots of cuddles and kisses and loved it !!. she is so so adorable. my sis felt my tummy kicking and said she is forgetting what preg feels like already after 1 and half weeks. lol.
it was a great time and look forward to when our babies can meet each other.

Hey there girls, i dont play in this thread, but i recognise most of you from LTTTC, so a big hello....just thought i would pop in with some advice for m+h+b, as i had WICKED roidds after DS was born, and became a bit of an expert!! You can try soaking in a warm salt bath (i think they call it a sitz bath) but that didnt work for me. Creams which may help are soov and proctocedel, but the best thing i found is "witch hazel" which is a clear liquid herb you can get at the chemist. Buy some gauze and soak it in the witch hazel and then put it in your knickers, especially just before you go to bed. Totally made the throbbing go away for me, and very soothing. Can also use it after you give birth if you have a tear. I have already bought a bottle for this time!!!! Hope some of this helps - there is nothing worse than yucky yucky roidds!!!

Hey guys, I am reading but haven't really had much to say. I finally got to do my NT scan yesterday and am excited to say all was excellent. I was so nervous because of my age (1:68) but when they combined it with the scan and blood test results it went to 1:1160.....sooooooo happy! I feel like I can finally sit back and enjoy this pregnancy. Bubs had its back to us the whole time we were there so we didn't get to see any profile pics but as soon as he said low risk I just didn't care cause I was so happy.
Funny thing is I have been dying to tell everyone and now that I can I feel like I don't want to. I have told mum and two sisters and DH told his mum last night but I think I might not make the 'big announcement' but maybe just let the news get out to each person just as I catch up with them. I'll have to think about it cause I know there might be a few people I need to make an effort to tell but right now Im just trying to get excited and start bonding with this bubs as I have kept myself a bit removed up until now just incase.
Anyhow I hope you are all doing ok and I will try and keep up better from now on!

a very quick post to say we had our scan this morning and everything was good! Measuring exactly to dates, and we saw a heartbeat. We're very relieved but also aware there's still a loooooong way to go.

Lise - YAY!!!!!! Such a relief to see bubs for the 1st time and know that everything is right on track! So, so happy for you, hun :hug:. I think the 1st 12weeks if the toughest part to get through and I have really struggled this time round... in fact, I think I am worse than I was with DS :doh:!
JBM - How exciting!!! I am so, so jealous that you have finished up. Must be such a good feeling :dance:. Sorry, I must have missed it.... are you moving house? Are you moving far? I am going to finish up a month before due date this time round as I only finished up 3 weeks early last time and I know I am going to need the rest before Little Bean comes along as now I have DS to look after as well! Kass - Yay, for looking pregnant! I hate the in-between look where people aren't sure so that don't say anything but they know you are bigger so think it could just be weight gain. I have totally popped out this time round straight up so no denying it for me, he, he! Did you find out what bub's sex is?
Jacklicky - Great news about your NT scan! Your risk factor is an excellent result. Must be a huge relief for you - yay! I know how you feel about telling people... you dream of being telling people for so long that when it finally happens you feel different about it than you thought you would.
Jayejaye - So great to see you are pregnant with #2.... I remember cycling with you when I was trying for DS :).
Yogibear - Did you manage to get into your ob and have and a scan?

AFM - Feeling good today as it is my last day doing higher duties at work :). I am starting to feel more confident about this pregnancy now and can actually admit that 'yes, I am pregnant.' Starting to get really excited about it although a little nervous about the NT scan which I have booked for next Friday. MS seems to be reducing as well so that is helping massively. Still really tired though but I don't think that will go away anytime soon with working and looking after DS whilst pregnant! Wish I could just quit but we couldn't pay the morgate if I did! I have booked myself in for an eyebrow and bikin wax this arvo (both long overdue :redface:)! I am also planning on havibg a pedicure this weekend as I need a little pick me up as feeling a little ugly ducklingish lately. Hopefully it does the trick :).

I know what you mean about feeling ugly...i feel like i've just let myself go as far as 'body maintenance' is concerned...my legs, armpits and eyebrows are so hairy at the moment, i feel so feral!! Does hair grow faster when pregnant?? But i just dont care because all i can think of is my precious little baby growing inside me, dont care what i look like! No i didn't see my Ob, i decided i just need to relax and trust this bub and my body that its doing the right thing. I'm feeling more stretching and stronger movements in the last few days so there is definitely still something going on in there!
JBM, i'm now 18 & 1/2 weeks. I was feeling slight fluttering for a few weeks but last few days i am feeling stronger 'poking' sensations that i'm guessing is bub moving? Is very strange but so very exciting! My belly is really starting to 'pop out' now, and i think i'll need to go shopping for some more stretchy pants...and bigger bras, i'm ballooning out in front in all directions!!! But loving it...i'm FINALLY living the dream! :dance:

yogi: yeah for some proper kicks. i love it when i feel baby moving around inside. it's such a miracle. yeah for belly popping out also. this is so exciting but annoying stage where you don't really look pregnant just fat. but the big bump comes soon enough,....... believe me. lol. as for the bigger bra thing.......... what can i say.......... mine are HUGE !!!!!. i am so excited for you. best of luck now for 20 week scan in a couple weeks time. x
coral: we r moving to Brissy from /tassie. bit of a climate change hey ?!????!!!. lol I go in less than a week now with the 2 little boys and DH is driving up with DS 1 atm. it's all happening in our house . it's good to take some time off beforehand. i have been so tired and am glad i finished up early because of move that is so i can just have little nana naps in the arvo time to cope with everything else. it won't be long so make the most of the time off.
ouch for the bikini wax !! apparently it is supposed to hurt more while pregnant ?? who knows i always just shave except i can't even see past my big belly atm so we have a forest going on big time. he he he. good luck for scan hope all goes well. x o
AFM: i love acupuncure , it is so relaxing and helps my back also. last one before i move.

jacklicky - great scan results! We felt the same about announcing things - we told a couple of people early on, but mostly left it until they noticed, which meant we were quite a few months in before everyone knew!
Hope I haven't missed anyone! Had another mw appt today and bubs is still just over a week behind. My mw wasn't concerned at all, but she could see that it's been stressing me out, so I've been referred for another scan. I feel a lot better just having that coming up, and it will be good to have another look at bubs - and double check she's a she!

me-him-bub: oh i have been waiting for the SMS..... i can only imagine what you are going thru at the moment ............. so frustrating............. i just had someone i know who went 10 days over and had to be induced. she had a 9 and half pound monster......... lets hope thats not you...... have they given you a date ?? for induction if you don't go naturally ??

kass: i am so so happy about finishing work.. as for the move....most of the packing is done, just the last minute stuff that i can't do yet...... . prob good for you to have another scan they you can stop worrying. i just had a friend who's baby was 2 weeks early and only just 6 pounds. thats below average. her first baby was ony 5 pounds soething and 3 weeks early. both the kids are fine. she just has smaller babies. try not to worry.
I will be having another WOPPER. measuring 4 weeks ahead ????!!!!!!! and i have to squeeze that out........ i know which one i'd rather have and it's NOT the big whopper babies. LOL

AFM: feeling VERY pregnant. lots of kicking today. baby is getting squashed in there now though... he he.... i am still getting very very tired every arvo.... waking a few times a night due to just being uncomfortable. i seem to only be able to sleep 3 hrs max at once ? so my body is getting me used to baby.

Finally spoke to a nurse about downs and have only been given low risk - not sure about the ratio but don't think it really matters too much anyway. Happy it was low :)
