Yes pg after LTTTC is hard work... and that emotional detachment is common and still there for me at 13 weeks. Seeing a heartbeat helps, but I don't think pregnancy in anyway removes the LTTTC experience we've had.
I hope the next 8ish weeks are kind to you *hugs* and sticky vibes!

Thank you for the reply and wishes Maruschke, I was really happy to read belatedly that you got your bfp! Interesting, I may end up doing a 6-wk scan after all, maybe that will help if I hear the heartbeat...
Yes, I probably should have read up some threads like this beforehand instead of expecting that everything would magically be fine after we got that bfp and that we would return to population 'normal' lol.
Congratulations Cattie!!! I can understand how hard it is to get to excited. The whole journey is just so stressful. Maybe some follow up HCG levels may put your mind at ease before you can go for a scan?
Just letting you all know our scan yesterday went really well. Baby looks totally perfect and very active in there! Risk for downs was 1:62 but with scan and bloods came down to 1:1860 - needless to say I was stunned! 3 yrs ago with my DD we had a 1:500 risk so certainly didn't expect to get better at 40! Feel so much more relaxed now I don't have to stress about having an amnio etc. can't say I feel totally "safe" yet but I do think at 13weeks, its probably time I considered putting up a ticker !
Just wanted to jump in and say a huge congrats to Meredith - I think you should celebrate by putting up that ticker!

MeredithD - congratulations on such a good scan result! You must be really relieved and happy! And thank you, it's probably a good idea to do the bt but my gp insisted it wasn't necessary. I'm feeling a bit better about things now so hopefully I'll be ok :)

Thought I would jump in to introduce myself as I found out yesterday that I am pregnant! According to my calculations I should be 4 weeks 2 days today. Yesterday my HCG was 233. I am pregnant as the result of a natural FET. I already have a DD who was also the result of a FET. She will be 3 in April.
Needless to say we are very excited.
I have to go to my OB a little early at 6 weeks instead of 8 as I ended up with severe pre eclampsia last time. I may need to be medicated this time as a result. So I am off to see him on 22 feb which is the day before we fly out for a holiday to the US. So hopefully all will be fine. I am still on pessaries, but the FS will let me know monday if I need to continue these. Also not sure if FS will do early scan as I am going to OB early. Will find that out on Monday.
Hope to get to know you all well. There are a few familiar faces in here.

Congratulations and welcome Cattie :welcome: everyone here can certainly appreciate and empathise with your concerns, we've all felt them too. If you're feeling stressed is it an option do you to request an early scan? I had one at around 6-7 weeks as routine with DS (he was IVF) and although this baby was a natural conception I still asked my gp for a referral as I needed to be sure the baby was on track. She was more than happy to write my referral, and even called it a dating scan so I could claim some money back from Medicare.
Meredith, so pleased your scan results were so good :clap: what a relief, I know the stress of having to consider an amnio so I'm glad you can relax now.

Big hello to everyone else, hope all is well. I'm very excited to have hit the half way mark! And counting down the hours until DH is home, it's only been one week and DS has been so good but I'm exhausted. And I miss my nightly back scratches :rofl:

Hi everyone else. AFM all is well here I have been told to stop pessaries. They were only as a precaution in TWW anyhow. At my BT it was 96 and apparently they look for anything over 25 for progesterone. So I guess I have to trust my body for once. Got a scan with FS on 22 feb and then first OB appointment same day so guessing I might get a sneaky look at bubs twice in one day. I will only be 5 weeks 6 days pregnant by that stage, do you think it is too early to see a heart beat?

Unfortunately, my computer at home crashed and I have had trouble finding the time at work to post lately :shhh:.

Janie it might be a bit too early... or the heartbeat could be slow... given how early you would be I wouldn't expect anything... whatever you do see is a bonus :). I hope you enjoy it though (and enjoy your holiday to the states too!).

Definitely a due date list! ! We had one when I was here last time and it was great to be able to see where everyone was up to. Tei, what do you do that involves working at 3am?
Janie I've heard of some people seeing a heartbeat that early, but as Maruschke said it might be a tad too early. Will keep my fingers crossed you do though:crossfingers:

Not much happening here, I've been feeling more movement lately which is always nice and DH finally felt the baby move which is exciting for him :)

lise - thank you, my gp did write me a 6-week scan referral but we decided not to do it. I have my first ob appointment in 2 weeks so I am hoping he has an u/s machine and we can just have a sneak peak then. And congrats on the natual bfp after ivf, that must have been wonderful news!

afm - Well I pretty much feel nauseous all the time, except immediately after meals. But only meals, small little snacks don't seem to do the same trick. Also still have the worrying cramps. Looking forward to seeing the ob in two weeks! (I almost typed 'fs' instead, old habits lol)

Ok i started a list. Please let me know if its wrong!! i ended up counting from peoples tickers and using the pregnancy wheel to work out everyones due date. so high chances its wrong =)
