Welcome to all the newbies, so lovely to see new faces (well you know what I mean!) in here :) Wishing all of you a very happy and healthy pregnancy xx
Amy, I had dreadful headaches first trimester with DS and this pregnancy, I found acupuncture really helped and I didn't have to go through so many boxes of Panadol!
Saffy, what a scare, so glad your little one is still on board and you got to see a strong heartbeat. It's an amazing feeling isn't it? Sorry about your cat, it's so hard losing a fur baby xx
Terry, glad you're getting some decent sleep, take advantage while you can! And yay for feeling more movement, it's so nice when others can feel the baby, definitely helps to make it real for them I think.
Dutchie, what great numbers! Hope you were able to find an answer to your question, I have no idea sorry.
Can't scroll back any further but big hello,to everyone else, hope you're all travelling nicely.
I've hit 34 weeks and am very much looking forward to finishing work in a couple of weeks! Mind you I've been off work all week with another sinus infection so I might not make it given that I had to get a certificate from my gp stating I am fit for work after 34 weeks and if I'm sick again I need a certificate stating that whatever illness I'm suffering from isn't pregnancy related...!
Other than that feeling really good. No nasty third trimester symptoms so it's really just a waiting game now, I just want number two to be here already!

AFM had to reapply for my job this week worst timing ever got this week off and planning to do the nursery with DH

Evening girls,
AJ~ I've been known to suffer terrible headaches, I've carried a 1.25 pump bottle with me at all times since finding out, and I've managed to keep headaches at bay so far. Your hCG numbers look beautiful. Glad things are going well for u, apart from the headaches.
Saffy~ Sounds like u have really been thru a lot the last few days. So happy that u got to see lil buboes hb, that must have been so exciting (and relieving). I think a ticker sounds like a great idea.
Terry~ nice to hear you are doing so well right now. The extra sleep probably is helping that. It must be so nice to feel movements, would certainly make it feel very real. I can't wait til I'm at that stage!
Lise~ really at the business end now! I can relate to wanting bubs in your arms now! I think that too and I'm only 6 weeks. Glad things are going well for you.
I too, like lise, am finding it hard to scroll back further, but wanted to wish loops and coral a massive congrats on the birth of your precious bubbas!
AFM~ I am plodding along good aswell. I had my last hCG on Friday and that came back at 9836, so another healthy rise. Anxiously waiting for my 6 week scan on tues. Am terrified there won't be a hb but it's out of my control. All I can do is take it easy, and pray things are ok.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! TC mummies to be xox

Hi ladies,
Terry, hope you managed to get your job application done and that the process isn't too painful. Definitely agree it's bad timing, I hate job applications.
Dutchie, how did your six week scan go? Have been thinking of you xx
Tei, are you still with us love? Hope you're not getting too impatient. I was 10 days over with DS and an absolute hormonal mess by the end so I hope your head is still in a good space.
Big hello to everyone else, hope you're all well.
I am going well - started mat leave this week which i'm very excited about!!! I was going to try to work till 36 weeks, so Friday of next week, but I was off most of last week with a sinus infection and although I felt better over the weekend by the time i'd been at work for 30 mins on Monday I was feeling just as bad. So I got myself organised and finished up on Tuesday. I have to go in on Wednesday next week as work is having a morning tea for me and I need to do my official handover, but that's it :) Otherwise, nothing really happening, though I did have an interesting chat with my midwife this week. I'm birthing at a different hospital this time and I requested my medical notes from DS. Turns out a few things happening during labour that I was unaware of - like the fact that he had shoulder dystocia! I Googled it because I didn't know what it was and it seems it's considered an obstetrics emergency, so I was a bit freaked out. Took my notes in to my midwife who explained everything to me and said she was sorry i'd had such a traumatic birth first time round and that hopefully things would be better this time. So i'm really hoping it doesn't happen again as the pushing stage was HORRENDOUS last time.
Anwyay, enough from me, hope you're all having a happy Friday and have a lovely weekend xx

Hi Lise!
Wow, how unfortuant you only just discovered these things. I'm glad you went through them with your midiwife though, 1) us midwives like to know these things ;) but 2) most importantly you could have things explained to you properly where you could have a chance to go through them and understand them.
I'm still around =) I'm in a good place re: my pregnancy and still feel great and would really be comfortable being pregnant for a few more weeks. my head is comfortable with this too, I'm just struggling being away from DH and home. I'm staying at my folks until I give birth (because I'm birthing at a hosptial that isn't near my home due to personal reasons), and home is about 270km away. So i have been here for 3 weeks, and only seen DH for 2 days of that. plus I just miss home and my puppy and all that. So I know the sooner Spock comes to sooner I can see him again and will be able to go home, so that is making me impatient.. But aside from that i am actually still loving being pg!
hope everyone else is going well!!!

So glad you're in a good head space Tei, though hope it's not too much longer so you can be home with DH again. You're in my neck of the woods atm aren't you? And yes, I'm very glad I got to talk talk things over with the midwife, I was feeling like it was my fault I had a vacuum extraction, just because I was tired and that if I'd just tried a bit longer it would have been okay. It makes me more determined this time to stay at home as long as possible and remain active!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend xx

I am currently in your neck of the woods =)
My headspace isn't as good as it was... I have been I'm getting lots of Braxton Hicks, have all week, and last few nights have been getting a little bit of period pain, but nothing regular, or coordinated, and as soon as I go to bed it stops, and even though i have thought of sitting up all night I thought I better not and get some sleep!!
So I've been getting my midwife to do some stretch and sweeps just cause I'm in a bad head space and lonley and miss DH so much. we did one Wed and one today, on Wed was I already 1cm dilated and 50% effaced (so only about 1cm thick). so we were surprised when it didnt trigger anything serious. Today I am about 2cm! so my period pain must be doing something!. Spock is still high though, not crazy in the clouds, but I think thats all we are waiting on, Spock to move down a bit (by getting in a better position) and then things will kick off. I have my post dates appointment on Wed, I'll atleast get to see Spock then =) but FX I get to cancel the appointment =)
-
OMG Tei thats exciting, you are so close, love how you have effaced and dilated already, once you get some good contractions it will be on!!
Best wishes for your labour, can't wait to hear details ( all the juicy bits that midwives love please :))

Well girls 20 week scan was today and we have found out we have been blessed with another GIRL!
My DD is so excited and we are thrilled ( although we would have been with a boy also ).
All is looking well, although my placenta is a little close to my cervix. My OB wasn't concerned as it isn't covering the cervix so he said more than likely it will move.
Hope everyone is well.
Janie xxx
-
Woo hoo Janie for a other girl, very exciting! Glad all is well with your pink bundle and hope the placenta moves further away.
Tei, how did your appointment go today? Fingers crossed you had to cancel xx
Hi to everyone else, hope all is well.
AFM, on mat leave now but I've had a sick DS the whole time so not much fun. He's been sleeping in our bed since the weekend which means I can't use any pillows so apart from the lack of sleep I'm also really sore and uncomfortable and my back is killing me :(
Okay whinge over now, enjoy your afternoon ladies xx

Hi beautiful mummies,
Just a quick post from me, I'm a little frazzled and on my way to have another scan shortly. We had our 6 week scan on the 22nd of may and we were delighted to see tic tac in the right spot, measuring correctly and with a beautiful heartbeat at 114bpm...
Last night, I had a very slight bleed (not even enough to stain a liner) and I went and saw my doc today who is sending me for an urgent, early scan. I don't believe I have lost tic tac. The blood is really minimal, I've had no pain and I still have pregnancy symptoms (peeing lots, bigger and sore boobs, fatigue and "baby brain", I even woke very early this morn with nausea again. So I'm convincing myself, spotting (wouldn't even call it bleeding really) is quite common in early pregnancy and that all is well but inside I'm just a bag of nerves waiting for this scan.
I've had some trouble getting online recently, but I'll jump back on when I can and post an update. FX!
Hope everyone is plodding along well, take care mummies xox
-
Sending some hugs your way Dutchie while you wait, but I'm sure everything will be fine
-
Dutchie I'm sure everything is fine I too bleed on and off (spotting really) upto about 14 weeks. Apparently 1 in 5 women does.
Janie congratulations on a baby girl
Lise hope your enjoying your mat leave not long to go for you now.
AFM feel heaps better about my job situation think I'll be ok but might have to come back early from mat leave....I'd rather that than to have to struggle financially. All going well with the baby I seem to have started calling the baby "him" lately even though I don't know for sure. Went to the Prince concert the other night had a great night but was exhausted yesterday so looking forward to another early night tonight. Don't think the baby appreciated all the loud music and staying up late cause yesterday it was kicking me like crazy and gave me heartburn once again.
Have a great weekend girls
-
Dutchie - hope everything is all good with your little tic tac. FWIW I had a BIG, bright red bleed at 6 weeks and bled on and off for a month but these two little ones are still happily cooking away at 33 weeks. FX that you have a good outcome as well hun
-
