Hi Girls.Sorry i havnt been on lately. For some reason every time i clicked the link in my email, the browser would close on me.
I see that there has been alot going on...
BOC~ I hope your bp returns to normal.I am thinking of you.Best of luck.x
EMERALD STAR~ Sorry to hear about the spotting but please try and be positive.I had spotting for 2 whole weeks when i was pregnant with my son who is now 12,and this pregnancy i had light brown spotting at 5 weeks 5 days then again at 8 weeks. Each time it was only a smear on the tissue paper but like you,was in tears, convinced it was all over.I am now 16.5 weeks now.Just relax on the couch and do some positive thinking.I have you in my thoughts. My ob also said that as long as it is not bright red, soaking a pad or with cramping, its almost always fine.I hope your bub sticks.xxxx
Loula~ Does your ob know why you have continued spotting for so long? Have you had your scans yet to see your bub?
I have my next ante natal this Thursday and am hoping to get another scan as my mum is coming with me.
I am still using my rented doppler...oh i love it.Every 2-3 days i sit down in a quiet place to hear my babies heartbeat...nothing is sweeter!
Have just been out to the baby warehouse to check out prams. The pram i want is $1499..... i think i will have to find something less expensive. My budget was $550 for a pram.
DH and i were disagreeing over crib colours.I want white as we are fitting the baby in with us and our room is dark and small hence wanting lighter furniture but he wants the really dark timber, which i do love but will make our room look cramped and gloomy.
We left the store with nothing, needless to say.:(
I even found...get this!... a cot sheet set with valance, bumper etc on the net for .......$900!!!!!!! It was lovely but $900!!!!! Aaaaahhh if only i was rich! Hehehe.
Has anyone else started buying for bub? My friend bought a crib, pram and car seat for a total of $300 of ebay.Bargain hunter,i reckon!
Just a quick hi to the mummys and their bubs too.Hope your little ones are bringing you all the joy in the world.xx
Emerald star -=- Hope things are looking up for you hun
BOC-=- Let us know how you go.. hopeing you'll be home from hospy soon and waiting a few more weeks before any more big news :)
Lise -=- I hear you about going crazy sitting aruond the place! It just so happens that at the same time the thought of being on our feet too long in action is mortifying at this point LOL yes my son definately knows all too well how cute he is.. and he uses it every day to get away with murder!
Wantbaby#2 -=- Gee that pram does sound a bit steep!! and $900 for a cot sheet set... gee I dont think Id pay that much even if I had the money LOL.. We got our cot for $300 on sale with a matress as well and the pram was 300 too.. I hear what your saying.. When you have dark themed walls etc dark wood would really bring on the gloom.. our cot is that dark wood but our walls are creamy white and we have white see through curtains and plenty of light in the house.. so it really just kindof contrast the room and gives it a nice airy feeling. We had a white cot for our son and it was very nice looking in the house we were in at the time which like you was more dark featured.. so Im with you on this one!
AFM -=- Not feeling all that hot today.. I cancelled going to my gf's 22nd bday bbq and stayed at home feeling miserable.. Felt bad because DS was looking forward to playing with her daughter.. But I have massive backache today and a huge stomach ache to fit.. My head feels all heavy and out of place and My whole body is acheing.. It doesnt feel like a flu or anything but I dont really know what is going on..
Morning all. I did write a great long response yesterday but it disappeared and then I was too irritated to do it again. Stupid really why IT winds us up so much!
Emerald Star - I can't really add much to the excellent advice you've had above. I too sadly had a miscarriage and it was bright red - cut your finger red - so don't worry about any brown stuff. Just sounds like some womb renovations for the new occupant ;)
BOC - It must be deadly dull in hospital, but I hope it's done the trick and your BP is normal again. My BF was in hospital last year for a month with placenta praevia and she watched the whole box set of Sex and the City. By the end, I think irritation with Carrie was putting her BP up....
Everyone else hello. Lise, I know what you mean about going out. I both look forward to it, and then can't wait to get home and put my jim jams on. I was supposed to be going for some drinks last week with DH's work mates, and he rang and said it was a "standing up pub" and heaving that I might not enjoy it and I got really upset at not going out, even though my head was telling me I'd have hated standing up for hours. How illogical. So he's taking me somewhere I can sit down and talk to people instead. I do think we need to get some going out in now... otherwise it'll feel like a year or more without stepping outside the door!
It's lovely and cool here at 7am but I think today is going to be a stinker. Yuk. Can't wait for the weather to break tomorrow. Tomorrow is D day and the furbaby goes off to do her job. It's a miracle Melbourne hasn't been flooded with all my blubbing. But on the up side, I hope not to be up at 6.58 on a sunday morning for at least another four months!
anyway, I'm blathering. I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend. x
Thanks for asking I have a subchronic hemorrhage and although it looked small at my 7 week scan it looked a little bigger at 12 weeks, i was having weekly scans (after every gush) but wont get another now till i check in with my ob on the 10/03. then my 20 week scan on the 1/4.
with regards to buying things we havent started yet but i know everything i want lol i have to wait till march/April till my pram comes into the country but they keep seeling out in the states, it a baby jogger city select, four wheels and so many ways to set it up. what pram are you looking at?
we are going to borrow the bassinet, high chair from family but the cot and pram i wanted new. after waiting all these years! we are also going to use cloth nappies and that is about the only things i have been buying.
Is anyone from here going to the melb baby show on the 5/6/7 March?
Hope you are all doing well, will hope to get to know you all a little better over the next few days xx
Hi girls just a quickie. Hope you're all having a fab weekend!
I'm stuck in hospy another night :( my BP came down yesty and they said I'd prob go home today but then it went back up again overnight so I ain't going nowhere! Oh well at least the food's not too bad, not great but better than airline food
anyway enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
Boc hope you are behaving, 3 days of rest for me in hossy and then they induced me. But I was a couple of weeks further along than you. Have my fingers crossed for you that you can go home.
Sweet Jesus, Joseph and Mary. I finally made it into this thread. I don't believe it.
Hi everyone!!! Congrats on being in here too!
Smithy - I remember you from last year, and the moment you got your BFP!!! So great to hear you have given birth to a beautiful baby. Well done girlfriend!
Tomorrow I am off for my 2nd Beta test to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.
Mild occasional cramps - check
Sore BB's - check
Metal mouth - check
Tired - check
Strange moods - check
Phew! Like many of you my journey has been looooooooooong and bumpy. So worth it when you finally get here! Now to hold onto it. Stick little baby, STICK! I'll be the world's best mum I promise!!!
WOOHOO Mindhugs, the biggest congratulations, what wonderful news, good luck with your second beta, look forward to hearing your good news xx
Hi there everyone,
Am trying to catch up with what has been happening!! Seems I have missed a lot. Will try and keep up with everything from now on!
First, congrats to all the ladies who have welcomed their precious bundles. And congrats to those who have got their long awaited BFP.
Us - I'm now 19 weeks and having GIRLS! All is going well. I'm tired a lot and don't have much stamina these days. Nearly fainted in Bunnings today. Otherwise, I'm just cruising along....and still can't really believe that babies will be the result of my big fat belly. Probably won't believe it until they are in my arms. Am still terrified...does that worry ever go away??? ;)
Will do more persies as I catch up with everyone, but just wanted to respond to Emerald Star. I had a heavy bleed at 5 1/2 weeks, but no cramping. It was just a 'separation' of some of the lining. No bleed since then (TMI - a serious increase in discharge though!).
So - London Miss - we are days apart! My official due date is still 17th July...but more likely to be June sometime.
I'm looking at going to office based duties at work in about 3 weeks and finishing up at the end of April. Will have a month or so of sick leave before going onto Mat leave.
Glad to be back.
D x.
Argh, why did the computer eat my lovely long post??? Here we go again...
Welcome back Mrs Slyder, and welcome on board Mindhugs!!!!!!! Hope you find all the support and comfort you need here, I know I have.
BOC - hope you're resting up so you can get out of hospy and back home ASAP!!
Loula - baby show sounds great, I'd def be going if I were still in Melbourne.
Londonmiss - thinking of you for tomorrow and sending big hugs your way
Kyra - hope you're feeling better, i've got a sinus infection so feeling a bit crappy myself.
Wantbaby - DH and I started buying baby items a few weeks ago and now i'm addicted!! I'm currently trying to justify buying a fancy new camera (surely a new baby and overseas holiday warrants one???) despite the fact there's nothing wrong with mine ;)
Emerald Star - hope you're feeling okay xx
Hello to all the rest of you mummies to be and mummies popping in - hope you're all happy and well.
AFM - have been feeling the chicklet move around more and start kicking which is a great feeling, though poor DH can't feel anything yet. I had read somewhere (was it even here??) about putting paper on your tummy so DH can see the paper move when the baby kicks, but although I can see the paper move DH can't! Oh well, i'm sure it won't be too much longer...
As mentioned before, am feeling a bit crappy tonight so am quite happy (despite my whingeing yesterday) to be staying put on the couch tonight. Would dearly love to stay home from work tomorrow but don't think my boss would appreciate that - i've been in this job for 5 weeks and had 4 days off now and I don't think she's very impressed with me. She has kids herself - so much for female solidarity!!
night all xx
Loula~ I havent heard of that pram your after. It sounds like a good one if it keeps being sold out.The one im after is a Bugaboo which has the bassinette and converts a million ways too. They are so expensive but a friend has one and has had it since her girl was newborn. She is now 2 and the mum says her friends prams have fallen apart in that time but her bugaboo is still fantastic and well worth the money she paid. They look really nice too.
Im sure i want a bassinette pram and four wheels.I also prefer beige, chocolate or red....not that im fussy or anything.
Mindhugs~ Welcome and Congratulations.Best of luck on your second beta!!! Let us know how you go.:crossfingers:
Lise~ I just bought a camera, but it was to photaograph my dolls that i make for sale, but the fact that i will have a 'real' little doll to photaograph made it easier forking out the $1000 for my digital slr,so go ahead and but that camera. After all,it is a memory capturing device that is well waranted with a new baby. :)
Emerald~ Hoping that all is going well for you.Im thinking of you.
AFM..... today i fainted for the first time in my life.It was horrible.I was outside selling my dead car to a car dealer when i went cold, broke out in a massive sweat, lost my hearing and everything went grey.Luckily the two men helped me into the car to sit down until it passed.I was sooooo embarassed and it felt soooooo yuk!! Called the clinic and they said its normal but could be anaemia. My bloods will be revealed on Thursday at my next antenatal.Im sitting down for the rest of the day.
Yesterday i also got stung by a wasp, just under my eye.S**T it hurt!!! Im allergic to bees but didnt react to the wasp.
Anyhow i did my doppler today again after my fainting episode and bub even kicked the doppler off!!!! That was a first!! Soooooo cute though!!
Anyhow hello to those that i missed.Belly rubs to all.xx
Hi Ladies,
Friday turned out to be quiet a busy day for snuggles and I. We had a midwife appointment in the morning and the scan booked for the afternoon. I ended up having to head up to the hospital for an anti D shot on the way to my scan. The midwife was a bit worried after I told her I banged my belly on the kitchen bench Wednesday. I was running for the phone and forgot how much I have popped. It hurt a bit and left a mark but no spotting or anything so I wasn’t too worried. Being O neg they decided me an anti D shot to be on the safe side. Apparently the bump could have caused a minor internal bleed and if the snuggles happens to be positive it could be bad news. I was surprised how much it hurt and won’t be looking forward to the next shot!
Welcome back Mrs Slyder and congratulations on 2 beautiful little girls.
Mindhugs – congratulations! That’s fantastic news. Welcome to the thread.
BOC – sorry to hear you haven’t been well. I hope you have been resting up and that BP has come down now so you can head home soon.
Lise – sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well. I hope you are feeling better soon. I wish I could feel snuggles a bit more and can’t wait till I can share it with DH.
EmeraldStar – I have a friend due in 3 weeks and she had bleeding on and off for the first 12 weeks or so. It must be scary but lots of ladies experience it. Hope you follow up BT’s went well today.
Wantababy – glad to hear you are ok after your fainting spell. I have never fainted either, but can imagine it would be horrible. I hope it was just a one off and your bloods don’t show up any anaemia or anything.
Hello to everyone else x
Hi all,
BOC - thinking of you in hospital. Rest and take it easy. I hope the nurses are being nice to you - it can be hit and miss at hospital's. Fingers crossed that you're out soon :crossfingers:
Emerald Star/Loula - My mum and sister both bled profusely in all of their pregnancies, but each time they made it through. I can only imagine how scary it is and what goes through your head. Every step of the way seems to be something else to worry about. :grouphug:
Mrs Slyder - twin girls! Wow! Huge effort - congratulations.
BDT - You are a gorgeous woman! Can't believe you gave birth to twins under 3 weeks ago and you're in here supporting us girls. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support. I'd love to meet the girls one day. Would also love to know your thoughts on hospitals and OB's on the GC when you have a moment.
Lise - I have to say I don't feel much like going to work right now. Feeling pretty off some days. My brain is mush!!! I just know I'm going to do something wrong - or say something wrong .
Wantababy - I hope the car dealers took pity on you and gave you an amazing deal on a car!!! Hope that was your only faint this pregnancy. One is too many - right?
Mitf - hope everything is ok hun with that bump of yours. Let us know how you get on.
AFM - had my 2nd Beta and it's onwards and upwards. All systems go. Levels have risen considerably!!! Yay!!! Next step - scan with IVF doctor in 2 weeks and then referral to OB.
And anyone I have missed - xxxxxxxxxxooooooooooooo
CONGRATULATIONS MINDHUGS!!!! SOOOO glad to hear your levels rising.Enjoy and relax.
Hello Ladies,
Thankyou all for your ongoing support....:grouphug:
Again i apologise that i have no personals..but as you all know this rollercoaster nver ends...first your happy to see that BFP and youv'e gotten over that first hurdle..but now theres just a alot of new stuff to agonise over and i am getting so sick and frustrated...
These are the latest results....what do you guys think...keep in mind i have had ectopics and chemical pregnancies before...
16/2 Beta 184 P4 488
19/2 Beta 729 P4 504
21/2 Beta 2905 P4 ?
Ist ultrasound 5 weks and 2 days..NO SAC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could this be another chem or ectopic?? More bloods on Friday with a 2nd ultrasound next Monday! All the googling i hace done says i should be seeing a gestational sac by now! What do you guys think?
Emerald Star~ I have been thinking of you these past few days.I really dont know too much to be honest.Your levels are great but if there is no sac on an u/s then it could be either of the 2 you said. Im soooo very sorry. This must be so hard to deal with. All the questions that must be in your thoughts!! Do let us know how you go.
Hopefully someone else on the forum might know more.Dont google too much either. You usually only ever hear the bad...trust me,i was on googling all the time and it caused me so much more worry than ease.
 xx
That's a very early scan EmStar - it's not so strange to see no sac. What did they say about it? I'd wait till at least 6.5 weeks or so before panicking  Your numbers look really good!
ETA - or wait, am I thinking about heartbeat...? Sorry. I'm no good to you.
Quick reply, will do a proper one later when at work but just a quick one. EmeraldStar - how distressing for you, I'm sorry to hear that. I agree though, stop googling immediately! No one ever shares good news on the internet in the same degree as bad news and you will read only scary things. It's very very early for a scan. I know it is entirely pointless for us to tell you to relax/ not to worry, as of course you will, but please remember how early your scan was. Some babies just develop at different speeds. Know that we are all thinking of you and praying for a good Monday scan.
Right now at work and time for a longer reply (gosh my work ethic has gone through the floor...
Mindbaby - welcome to the thread and congratulations on your BFP.
Mrs Slyder - yes I'm due July 17th although I guess you are more likely to go before me? How exciting, two girls! I'm giddy about having one, having two seems like a fairytale!
Who was it who mentioned the Melbourne baby show? Where and when is it? I might have to go.... try and get DH into the mood, he's still a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing poor love. Although he is increasingly being treated like a slave at home, he's constantly fetching me things and making dinner good man.
Mitf - ouch, that sounds like it hurt. Hope the belly is ok now. I have noticed I am massively more clumsy at the moment. I seem to knock a drink over a day, and have burnt three pans in a week (a very expensive habit)
On the subject of purchases, I've bought a mountain buggy on ebay. Got a bassinette off a friend and a bath from next door. We don't have a car so will rent a car seat for getting home after the birth, and I've bought a (new) sling for carrying bub around in. I've been offered a loan of a baby Bjorn and a monitor. All of which is rather boring on the shopping front! I don't really like schmaltzy baby pics, so I've got three 1920s travel posters that I'm getting framed, one that is Australian on flying to England, one of Australia and one of India. They are amazing, you know that age of glamour type thing. I've also got a sepia style map of the world to get framed - I want the baby to know where Grandma is!
Yesterday was an appalling day - when furbaby went back to customs. Thank you for all your kind messages. I won't say that they didn't make me cry because they did, but they did help, and I thank you. I kept myself busy tidying, I will admit that we did have a cleaner yesterday too, and now our house is spotless for the first time ever. I put loads of stuff in the loft and tidied up the garden, bleached the stone flags and kept myself busy. It was hard work but the best thing to do to keep myself from dwelling on my sadness. And today I'm working so that keeps me out of trouble.
I hope you are all well. I've got hospital visit tomorrow and Saturday is big day - half way there. Hopefully I will be out of my blue funk by then.
:happyforyou::leap::happyforyou:
oh wow sweety a huge congratulations to you ,i hope you have a wonderful pg hunny and its so good to see you in this thread
all my girls in here im thinking of you all heaps and heaps ,especially my boc and emerald star xoxo
oh and mrs slyder wow congrats on 2 baby girls hun how kool.
Hi Ladies,
Thanks for your thoughts after my bump of the bump. Everything is fine … the anti D shot was really just a precaution.
LondonMiss – wow sounds like you have picked up a few bargains. It is definitely worth borrowing things where you can. Unfortunately a lot of my friends and family are having kids as well so I can’t really borrow much. Ebay is great though! I hope you are coping with your furbaby leaving. Just think of the important job they have gone off to do.
Emerald Star – I hope you are doing ok hon. Sorry to hear that you are still suffering through these dramas. I am not sure about when the sacs shows up… your numbers look great though which is a fantastic sign. I had my first scan at 7.5 weeks and the sac was there then… fingers crossed it was just too early. Have you told DH yet? Did he go with you too the scan?
Mindhugs – great news on the rising levels. These first few weeks are always hard after LTTTC. Good luck with your scan in a few weeks… I remember it all started to sink in when I first saw that little heartbeat.
Sorry ladies, another duplicate post. Clearly a sign I need a new computer!!
Hi ladies,
Wantbaby - that's the pram that we ordered, can't wait for it to arrive! Just note if you do go for the Bugaboo that it can sometimes take up to 3 months to arrive... And i'm not sure if DH can be convinced about a new camera though i'm doing my best! After a new car, the Bugaboo Cameleon, and the other nursery furniture, plus our overseas holiday later this year we might be stretching the finances a little too thin. Oh, and did I mention we're about to buy a new computer?! Anyway, hope you recovered well after your fainting spell and haven't had any more.
mitf - glad you're feeling okay after your bump and injection, I can imagine it was probably a bit unexpected being told you needed the anti D! Where did they give it to you? I'm curious as to why it hurt so much!
Mindhugs - glad all is going well and enjoy the countdown until the first scan. As mitf said, it's really quite special to see the heart beat for the first time.
Londonmiss - glad you're keeping busy, and not long now until the halfway mark. I must say I was so excited to get to reach halfway and see the numbers till d day go the other way, such a lovely feeling.
Emerald Star - I don't really know too much about this, and certainly don't want to offer false hope based upon lack of knowledge, but I agree with londonmiss in that it's very early for a first scan - mine wasn't till almost 7 weeks - so maybe it's just a matter of timing. Will be keeping everything crossed for you for your next scan xx
AFM - nothing really to report. Went back to work today though bed rest would have been much more preferable.
And currently trying to research bottles for newborns, though it seems to be a bit of a contentious issue!! I plan to breast feed if I can but I definitely want DH to be involved so would like to express if possible. But from what I can see the forums out there tend to get a bit emotional, and dare I say bi@#%y and not actually that useful! Anyway - do any of you mum's out there have any recommendations for bottles - to buy or avoid?
Hope you're all well xx
Hi ladies just popping in to reply to Lise
Re the bottles- This is just my personal opinion and my experience but in the early days I found it just too difficult to express so DH could get involved. The first few weeks are all about building up your supply and getting the hang of bfing so expressing just so Dad gets some feeding bonding is not necessary and can just be a big hassle which gets in the way of this important learning curfe you and bubs are going through. Dads can bond in other ways....Dh is in charge of daytime nappies in our house and baths. He also gets lots of cuddles and is the best at burping him! In my experience I would express with an electric pump, spend an hour of valuable mummy sleep time doing it and only get enough for one bottle feed (and I have tons of milk!!! it pours everywhere from the breast not being nursed from when he feeds. Even collecting that excess drippage would only contribute to one feed) That one bottle feed would take fifteen minutes for bubs to finish and I would spend most of that time sterlising equipment, and preparing it. So my 'break' from feeding was just more work not a break at all. Also many newborns cluster feed, so DH may just finish giving him a bottle and ten minutes later bubs will want more!!!! I had visions of storing milk and having a bank but unless you are exclusively expressing that would be hard work. I would have to be hooked up to a pump while sleeping to get more than a bottle or two stash!!!
So my advice is if you are able to exclusively BF then don't bother expressing just for Dad. It could turn out to be a whole lot of hard work. Unless of course you have a dream baby that only feeds every 3 hours or less(which mine isn't!!!!) Also those first 6-8 weeks are all about establishing supply and that is hard enough work!! I am hoping that as my feeding settles down (supposed to happen at 6-8 weeks:pray:) that the gaps in between feeds will be long enough to be able to express but at the moment it is just not worth it. Dads get bonding with bubs in other ways and are much more needed getting you drinks, food, cloths and support on those days you feel like you are chained to the couch feeding!!!!! This has just been my experience!!
btw I use tommee tippee closer to nature. Well I will be when I can be bothered expressing again!!!!
Lise - I use the Avent BPA free bottles. I breast fed Jasmine for all feeds bar one each day. My DH would feed her when he got home from work each day - we found that it was a wonderful bonding time for the two of them. I did try to express, but found that it was quite hard work as per Poppyfairy above. As Jasmine had been fed some formula top ups in the hospital due to it taking me some time for my milk to come in, we continued this at home by making the DH feed a formula feed. This worked for us although I know there are a lot of people out there that would advise not to do this. I found that my supply was never compromised and the fact that it allowed my DH to bond over feeding time was fantastic.
GL, I know that it is quite an emotional issue for some people. My advice - do what is right for you and your baby.
Janie and Jasmine xxx
As we're all in a sharing mood - update from my hospital trip this morning. Doc did the doppler thing and all we got was fuzz, minor panic that there was no heartbeat. He asked me if I rubbed on belly cream last night and confused I said yes. Apparently no cream for 48 hours before an examination as it confuses the doppler. Did an u/s and everything fine. Just so you don't do the same thing tho..... :o
I've been taking elevit, but the dietician thinks Blackmores concieve well gold is much better especially for vegetarians. For example, the b12, elevit has four somethings in it and blackmores has 100! She says not to waste it but to take the blk for now, and then use the elevit later on/ when I'm breast feeding
Thanks for asking the question lise. I had also hoped that DH could do a formula dream feed circa 10/11 pm so I can go to bed early, and then wake up for the middle of the night feed (and other than one feed a day, try to breast feed). I don't want to harm the baby (doh obviously!) though so really useful to hear the answers.
IGNORE LAST EMAIL
Just read the ingredients and it's got tuna fish oil in it so NOT suitable for vegetarians. Bloody hell, surely she should know that. :wall:
what a waste of money.
for Ducks sake. Just rung Bayer and Elevit isn't vegetarian either. Just rung the producers of Ostelin Vitamin D and this isn't either. Would it kill any of these bloody companies to put this information on the bottles? I've spent hundreds of dollars on products that i can't use, this is ridiculous. Does anyone know of a vitamin supplement that is actually ok?
(blackmores folic acid is btw)
:bellyrubs::bellyrubs:JUST GOT SOME BIG HUGS AND BELLY RUBS FOR ALL MY GIRLS TODAY .
LUV TO YOU ALL
London Miss.. Sorry hun but It surprises me that any of that is a shock to you lol.. There is some sort of animal product and cruelty in just about 99 percent of anything you can possibly buy.. And Im not just taliking about cows milk etc.. I mean dead animal..
There are hardly any cheeses around that DONT have animal rennet in them which I believe is calf stomach lining... Most capsules of any type of tablet are made with some sort of killed animal also.. And thats not even delving into the tested on animals side to things.. Try to look for a flaxeed oil suppliment for omega 3 and on any tablet packet you get make sure it says on the bottle that the capsules are made with vegetable gum otherwise I can almost garuntee your not using a vegetarian product..
anyway I have to put in my 2 cents about bottles also but my son is wakeing up and lol im outta time!! BBL
Belly rubs too all!!!! <3
Oh hes gone back to sleep hehe..
Its been a while since I researched into BPA plastics and other cancer causing plastics found in bottles, containers etc etc etc... but what we did come up with I remember having an icky feeling about it all...
Basically all I remember is that we decided to stay away from all plastic bottles all together.. And this time we're going with boobs or glass bottles haha.. and no microwave heating.. But if I were to reccomend a plastic I would say definatley go for a BPA free bottles id probably go with AVENT as a big brand name its probably more to be trusted.. and DO NOT buy the 2 dollar made in china no name bottles..
I have to admit I too found it really impossible to express in the early days any way.. And ended up just sticking to the boob so I could get some sleep.. But hey if it works for you then I would definately give it a go probably beats having bub on the breast every single time if you can still get some sleep in! Good luck anyway.. )
Im killing my brain today just trying to learn my next few chemistry lessons and pre algebra exponants.. But I used study procrastination to my advantage and "nest" cleaned the entire house in and out hehehe.. And when hubby gets home in about 30 minutes Im going to pop furbaby in a leash and go on a brisk walk as im feeling guilty about the last couple of weeks binge on pizza, chocolate, cookies, cordial, Etc etc you name it ive done it oops LOL.. But im going to stop now I swear (seeing as Ive reached my 40 week weight mark with DS) eep..
Hope everyone is feeling ok BOC thinking of you and your not so yummy hospital food! Hope you can come home soon!
Ky
oh.. and my ticker is wrong... Im 31 weeks tomorow not today..
Hello lovelies!
Just a quick one to let you all know I came home today YAY! :hooray:. They've put me on blood pressure Meds and so far they're working. Got a scan & appt with Ob next week.
Hoping to get my laptop fixed in the next few days so I can do full persies and put my bit in about bottles from what we've been told in some classes.
Thank you all for thinking of me. Catch up with you soon!
ha ha Kyra yes you have a point! My biggest issue is not that the companies use animal products (revolting though it is), it's that the hospital dietician could recommend three products that aren't vegetarian for a vegetarian issue! It's pretty dumbarse really. Eventually she's found one that I can take.
I've heard the same thing about plastic bottles and have looked at glass ones. BOC - home - wo hoo! Hope you are all sorted now and everythings fine.
Yep, Kyra is right. Soooo many things that you wouldnt expect have animal products in them. Toothpaste, alot of make-up, even the Anti-D injection!
I have been looking everywhere for glass bottles, any ideas where to find them gals?

BOC so glad to hear you are home! I really hope the next few weeks go fast and without drama for you..
Im really tired today... Cant seem to focus on anything so I havnt even bothered to try and study.. I had my GF and her Nephew come around earlier to get some photography done and I really didnt put the effort I usually do into it.. I just couldnt get myself motivated.. I have to head off to another GFS for dinner later tonight then pick up Hubby from work at 9 (We got our car back yay)
Im massive! My MIL FIL and GMIL (grandma in law lol) all asked me if im sure im not having twins the other day.. My bellys been so strange.. At the beginnning it popped out really early.. then towards the middle it slowed right down and the docs were wryd I was too small.. then I just shot right out and Now im absulutely huge! And wouldnt be surprised If I had triplets, cuz it looks as though i have one in each of my thighs as well as in thebelly! lol.
