Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well. We went for our early scan today to confirm that it wasn't an etopic pregnancy which it wasn't thankfully. She said all looked normal. It was pretty amazing to see the heartbeat already.
I had a spot of blood earlier this week so miss Paranoid here got another blood test and bothered my obstetrician again. He said that it can be quite normal but just to take it easy. He said that my hormone results were 50 000 which was a good level. Sometimes I feel like a hypercondriac. I think my husband thinks this is going to be a very long pregnancy if every week something else is going to bother me. Hopefully that is not the case.
I will get a ticker soon, I just need to find some time to figure how to do it.
Linda
Linda, great news! No you are not a hypochondriac, just understandably worried when you see spotting.
Actually today I had a scare, I had spotting again (had it a week ago) but this time with lots of cramps, felt sure AF was coming. So had an u/s done. Bub is just fine and in fact my dates were wrong, I am futher along than I thought (YAY). I had to have the NT done today, if I'd waited til next Saturday like planned it might have been too late. So I am on top of the world today!
great news on scans Linda, Sal & Chris
Girls that is all such good news and I am so happy for all of you. Bring on the bubbas!!!!
YAYE KAR!! You have reached 13 weeks!! WooHoo! Hey, anytime is a good time to celebrate :dunno:! Would love to see a pic of that belly of yours...
Chris - hope the scan went all well.
Shez - sounds as though your belly is well and truly going off! Thats great!
To think of what you said Sheree - about no more IVF - that must feel awesome! And like you can finally have a different focus, too. Cant wait to be saying that myself ;)
Linda - your results sound great. Must be a little more relaxed now.... for a little while anyway ;)
Sal - thats great that you are even further than you thought. Gets you closer to those "safer" dates..
Cant wait to see all these new bubbas when they come along!! :D Apologies if the colours are a bit annoying, but feeling like cheering up with some bright stuff.
Evening ladies
All I can manage this evening is woo hoo - we got our blood test/NT combined results back and came in w - a - y above the 1 in 84 we were expecting for my age! I think I got stats for a 34yo roughly. We are ecstatic! And now we can begin to tell people.
Keen - Mwah!
Sal - Not good about scare - but how lucky to not miss your NT in the process? how much of a leap will you be making?
Linda - you sound completely normal to me! (well normal for in here anyway!) They don't talk about straightjackets for nothing you know!
Trish, Tiff and to all of you whose journeys are ending - you are all an inspiration! There have been more days than I care to remember when I thought I'd never get through the start line. And I know there are still many who are so desperate to begin their journeys. It is just wonderful that you are all still in here talking to us and providing your wisdom and support.
Sheree - congrats. What a nice feeling that must be!
Hi everyone I've missed.
Hi Ladies
Thank you for your thoughts, scan went great.Cant believe another in 1 1/2 weeks in for 12wk NT.
LINDA: How far are you? It is very normal to worry like that especially when there is some spotting. Great news everything is ok. Isnt it a great feeling to see/hear heartbeart.
For those who have decided enough IVF, babies etc. Thank you for being there for the stressful emotional times when in need and enjoy your little ones.
Me, i might try again for another after this, we will see.Doc seems to think chance of another IC.
Hope we are all well.. My cold is heaps better, can breathe, another couple days in bed and i thinks i will be 100%.
Hi Everyone,
Chris I am glad the scan went well and I bet you are looking forward to the 12 week scan, I know I am.
I am 6 weeks 6 days. I feel a bit tired today so I think I will go put my feet up soon. I had the scan yesterday but the snographer was a bit rough as she said that she couldn't get the measurements. Yesterday and today I have experienced a bit more bleeding but I am trying to stay calm about it. Is it normal to maybe have some bleeding after an internal? I don't want to have to bother my obstatrician again. I think I might just take it easy today.
Congratulations Kar on your scan results. It is always such a relief when all goes well.
Sal I am glad that your scan went well.
I will talk more soon.
Linda
Morning Ladies
Congrats on the results Linda, Sal and Chris....
Keen, it's taken a long time for us to get to this point. DH was only saying the other day that he still gets the sense/feeling that "another" IVF cycle is around the corner - it's been so imbedded in our lives, certainly for all our life as a couple. I also wish and hope that you get your bfp soon.
Chris, FYI I had 4 times the number of IVF attempts for TTC#2 and it was as frustrating as all h*ll and in fact why we took a break - thanking our lucky stars for DD. Secondary infertility sucks. I hope that you have a better/quicker TTC#2.
Hi all,
I'm sorry to have been MIA but wanted to quickly say how great it is seeing you ladies barrelling along (though I'm sure it doesn't feel like it to you!)
As for the end, I am not yet at peace with no more IVF, but unfortunately it sure seems like DH is. So unless I can change his mind, Charlie will be our last. I'm not counting, of course, the last embryo we're going back for in Dec/Jan, but given our history, I have to admit to holding out very little hope.
In the meantime, am trying to enjoy my little man as much as I can (even though he's a little flu-ey today) and hanging out to see all the new bubbas coming soon to this thread!
Great news Kar!
:hello: everyone
Quick post...
Congrats on the results Linda, Sal and Chris.
Hope ur all well, I'm still recovering & Holly's great (posted full details in other thread).
Bring on those bubba's. :)
Hello everyone!!
Glad to hear we are all steaming along nicely, can't believe we will have some new bubs in here soon!
Trish I am so looking forward to meeting you & the boys.
Huge congrats to all the newly pg ladies, seems like everyone has gotten great results from scans & BT's
All of a sudden I have a massive tummy  I went for so long with a little round bump but now it is HUGE & getting quite heavy. All good though & bub is so active which is lovely. All measurements are spot on, head down but not engaged yet. I have had that grinding pain on my cervix a bit lately though *ouch*
Have a great day everyone, I am off to clean the yoghurt up that Bailea has painted lovingly over the table
Hi everyone
:hello: Have a good weekend everyone :) thats an order !
Skye - can't wait to meet you and Bailee too and see your 'belly'
Morning everyone.
It is a beautiful day here. Hope it is for you too.
Shez - congrats on half way!
Lea - how is being off work? Any new photos you care to share bump-wise? would love to see.
Sheree - Ouch! Hope you haven't had anymore internal punches. That sounds painful.
Sushee - lovely to see you!
Sal - how are you going? No more scares I hope?
Shell - have you made full recovery yet? hope so.
Linda - how are you going?
Tiff, Trish, melbo, Keen, Justine and anyone I've missed helloooo!
As for me - I'm starting to show! Went to work with a client on Friday and the CEO pointed at my belly and just waited for me to fess up! DH is worried I'm too big for three months! I'm still marvelling at what it feels like to have a baby on board. It's pretty hard to describe isn't it? I don't think I realised how firm it would feel.
Hi everyone!!
Woo hoo Kar on the lil bump, it is amazing isn't it how hard our tummy's get. Just wait till you have a squirmer that punches & kicks & rolls all around. I swear I could make out the heel & toes on a foot the other day when I was rubbing my belly...amazing!
I have just updated my ticker & here is my bump today! Wow only 45 days to go. The neural stretching has started up again which is quite painful but I'll take that over stretch marks so I can't complain too loudly LOL!
I will go & put this ticker pic on the website as well.
Hope you all had a good weekend!
xoxo
Ooh lovely baby bump Lea. Not sure what that grinding feels like, but doesn't sound pleasant. Hehe, stretchies, I thought I got off scott free, but low & behold they appeared about 3wks b4 on but chks & then on bb's when milk came in, they looked so huge to what I'm used to. Certainly is funny what our body can do.
Kar there's a wide variety of shapes & sizes, I wouldn't worry. A work colleage put on 10kg 1st tri, 0 in 2nd & 5 in 3rd, I put on 20kg, others as little as 7kg. Just enjoy ur baby bump. :) Felt much better on the 4th day, thnx.
Sept is fast approaching & so is the arrival of at least 3 more bubs, awesome.
Hi girls!
Kar, I still have a bit of pink CM (sorry TMI) but I'm too distracted with #1 to spend time worrying. Wow at having a belly, it is really weird isn't it. I never got used to mine!
Lea, what a neat bump you have there! The neural stretching is a pain (pardon the pun :cryinglaugh:) isn't it. I had it from 31w onwards and it bothered me a bit.
Ooh Sept is nearly here, baby season in this thread. Very exciting.
Hi everyone just had an urge to tell you our chosen names.
Isabella for a girl and Jackson for a boy. Our last name has 10 letters so we are not planning on middle names...
What do u think???
I love both of them - but I like middle names - my Mum didn't have one , and neither do my 2 SIL's - they think they missed out and feel deprieved.
I guess but our surname is serbian and very long. I love Isabella Grace or Isabella Kaye (MIL name) but Jackson????
Hi Shez, I like both those names! I don't believe in middle names, so Miles hasn't got one. Seriously, how often does it come up?!?! My mum doesn't have one and never felt she missed out. I have one - Ann - and so whenever I have to write my first and middle names, people assume my name is Sally-Ann. Very annoying let me tell you! It nearly killed my MIL to not give Miles a middle name, but DH and I didn't want to. If our surname was 'Smith' then I think we would give a middle name, in case there were other MIles Smiths out there, but our surname is quite unusual so I'm pretty confident there is no other Miles xxxx out there.
OK now I've ranted about middle names and how they are unnecessary, what about Jackson Luke?
...I'll be doing the opposite to you! I'm finding out the sex and sharing that info freely, but not divulging our chosen name for bub! Either way there leaves some excitement for the birth.
Blerk, I have my annual head-cold. I HATE my nose being blocked, can't sleep when this happens, and can't nuke my nasal passages with hydrochloric acid when pg...bummer :(
Shez,
I love both of your name choices.
Sal, OOHHH, Can I place my bet? I am going for another bluey for you!
Hi Tiff! Yep I feel that it's a boy, too! DH was thinking a boy, but after the NT scan (where the bub was super active) he is now saying he thinks it's a girl. I think he wants it to be a girl, as there is a remote chance I'd consider having a third child if it's a girl, but wouldn't if it's a boy (because I'd be hoping for a girl as #3 and that's when you are almost guaranteed it's a boy again!)
He he, Sal, there is method in his madness!
Two boys would be great though and three boys would be fine too.
You never know though, you might get your girl. I thought I couldn't have boys, then turned around and had William and then Noah!
Am looking forward to that morph scan of yours. Hopefully your baby will be happy to display his/her bits on the day.
I think I'm a two-kid kind of mother! Two boys is fine, I think three and I'd be seriously outnumbered! That's just me though. Oh, hadn't considered that bub might be naughty and hide his/her bits at the morph scan. That would be soooo frustrating!
Sal,
I'm thinking it's pink for you this time, I don't know why? So that's my bet!
Adn Shez, I love both those names! I wanted Charlie to be Jack, but DH wouldn't hear of it.
My SIL married a Smith ... and the other a McDonald ... so girls can marry a commoner
Jackson with a J name will give you a cute nickname - JJ ?
I think Pink for Sal ... and Shez too
Hi gorgeous girls,
Shez, those are lovely names. Can't believe how quickly things are going for you! So nice to see you doing well.
You too Kar! I felt really large too at three months so I know what you mean. Then the kicking or should I say fluttering started, between 12 - 14 weeks. I remember lying on the floor in front of the heater when I first felt it. Strange but comforting at the same time!
Sal, can't wait to find out what flavour your newbie is. I'm going out on a limb and saying pink! Oh and my middle name is Ann too and even spelled the same way (minus the "e"). Sorry about your cold. It's foul at the best of times but especially while pg.
Getting excited again now with some more new babies due to arrive. Hope all you lovely pg ladies are well.
Noddy has been awake and squealing like Pig Man since 4.30am but is now snoring in the lounge. He sends his love to all.
Mel
Lol!
My middle name is Ann too (without the E)
Was something in the water back then?
Thanks girls. I think I will stick with the no middle names.
Trish our last name starts with a T so Jackson may get JT which is kind'o cute. You think pink for me.. I did at our ten weeks scan (not cause I did or didn't see anything just a feeling) but now I'm not sure.
I think blue for Sal too!!
Sorry about your cold Sal hope it doesn't linger
Sending love straight back to your gorgeous boy Melbo
Thanks Sush.. Jackson is my maiden name so I wanted to use it.. DH hasn't really had a choice!! He loves the names too though.
I think blue for Shez! I am hoping that the majority vibe is right, I'd love a girl. Nothing like a prototypical nuclear family huh?!?!
Wow, three of us with Ann as a middle name, with the unusual spelling!
Trish, you are so right about girls marrying 'commoners' LOL, my mother's name is Ann (hence my middle name) and she didn't get a middle name as her surname was super long and very very unusual. Then she married my dad and ended up as Ann Smith (well, not Smith but an equally common name). You get the picture!
Mel, kiss Snodley on the head for me, sans cold germies! So he's Pig Man?!?! We call Miles' screeches Dinosaur screeches. We love when he doesn't do them.
Ooh, wonder how the due-in-Sep gals are doing today....hmm?
they are all very quiet...
Hi all!!
I have just gotten back from meeting up with Trish & a few other gals from BB. Can I say that Samuel & Joel are just ADORABLE!!!!!! Couldn't stop cuddling them...ohh that new baby smell is unreal!
I am feeling good today! Counting down the days & loving not going to work. My house looks like a tip atm so I better get off the puter & do a quick tidy up!
I am going to say :babygirl: for Sal & Shez, we had sooo many boys there for a while we need to even out the numbers.
Waaaaaah! I wanna see Samuel and Joel!
Oh Sal, you and me both!
Oops! Of course I meant 'and Trish too' :o
Tiff, I thought you two lived close enough to one another (excuse my geographical ignorance) ?
Hi Ladies
Just had someone chop trees and mow and weed front yard, DH ill and i am sick of looking at it.
I am now in middle of washing and been doing it for about 3 hours on/off.
I thought that i would have some B&B (R&R) time for about half hour - LOL.
I thinks girls for sal and shez.
Sal - me and tiff more closer to one another than trish, trish down sth.
Me: DH wants a boy, personally i think it maybe another girl. I dont care either way.
