I just got the results back from the last blood test from the clinic, HCG is 35.666 now! I've graduated from the fertility specialists now and am ecstatic! Now on to the first ob. appointment next Monday. I was feeling rather crap today, woke up real early and was starving, had some crackers, but was still not feeling well. Then fell asleep again and woke up just before I was supposed to get up, in the middle of a dream. Felt so out of it for most of the morning. Walked the dog in automatic pilot, then drove to have blood test done, then back into bed. I was relieved to be laying down again. Had some sleep, but my pup interrupted me a couple of times, sigh, stayed in bed for 2 hours, still feeling crap :( Just achy, crampy, swollen belly :( Then off to acupuncture and feel a bit better now. Am trying to get all the chores done that I wanted to do before hubby gets home. So I'd better get off this computer :) Sorry about the mostly me post...

Me4 I opted not to do bt cos numbers were good maybe not the smartes move cos I'm worrying but scan tues. glad your numbers are good. Hope the rest is helping

Mel I got awful heart burn towards the end and after DS a low acid diet helped me. Hope tablets help it is awful

Me little panic today low ache on my right side and some shooting pain down my legs. I don't think this is bad pain but still freaking me out a little. Still foggy, nausea in the evening and very tender breasts, I'm starting to get a bit of a bloat too, I wonder just how much quicker belly shows with your second baby? May have just eaten too many snacks in the arvo too, funn at home I'm fine. But at work I want to chew all the time.

Anyone else finding that it doesn't matter if they are up and moving or laying down, they are still going to hurl and then still try laying down to avoid it/prolong it? Laying down helps put it off with me, not forever but for a while longer and I'm avoiding things that well make me vomit (like ny kitchen) yet I'm gonna blow anyways. Why can I still not bring myself to go into those situations though?

Saw my GP today i couldn't wait till next week to see my Ob.
He gave me the wafers but man i forgot how much they cost for so little.

Damp i'm waking in the middle of the night to throw up now but laying down does seem to ease it.

Green i popped about 12wks with DD2 8ishwks with DD3 & popped by 6wks this time either that or i have shocking baby bloat ;)

Damprye oh dear time for a GP visit? What did you do last time?

So paranoia got me today I called the clinic and will go in for bt and scan tomorrow. Still dull ache in my tummy and legs still have all the other symptoms including forgetting my receptionists name today not funny. I hope all is well worried....

Greenslw - just wanted to send you some hugs and keeping my fingers crossed for you that all's well with the baby. Could the dull pain in legs be due to enlarged uterus pressing against a nerve? I know my sister in law struggled with numb and sore legs due to bub and uterus resting against some nerves... Hope the pain gets less soon! xx

AFM- DS1 is scaring me. Earlier this week, he said the baby would be coming on Friday. Now I had completely forgotten about it until he just came downstairs and asked what am I going to do when the baby comes when I'm going to the toilet. I asked what does he mean and why would I have the baby when I'm going to the toilet. He pretty much ignored me and went on about how I'll have to wrap up the baby. Also that he really wants a baby sister and that he thinks it will be his baby sister. He is also the one that tells me each time that I'm pregnant before I even think of the possibility (he is the reason I test lol) and before any tests come back positive. How am I supposed to not be scared when he says I'm having his baby sister on the toilet today? :( I want this day to be over ASAP and tomorrow to come so he is wrong...if he is wrong

Damprye - hugs. I bet he's just had a dream that fast forwarded him to the end of your 40 weeks... He's only a little one himself. I can imagine you freaking out though... Sending some more hugs...

AFM yeah I managed to have nice rest last night. My DH was so nice to cook this awesome chicken soup, it was a big surprise when I got home. I wasn't looking forward to dinner, but as soon as I found out it was soup, it was exactly what I felt like! Love this stormy colder weather, where you can rug up and have nice warm food... And I get a chance to wear my new ugg boots! I've been feeling exhausted and spent most of this week in bed, when I'm not working, or just chilling and reading books and magazines on the lounge. Trying to do some chores in between, doing a little each day. How are you girls holding up?

Thanks for your thought me4 and damprye baby has a heart beat :leap: my uterus looks great and bubs measures 6 weeks5 days so spot on HCG was 32500 the only thing that is freaking me out is progesterone has gone down to 20 was told not to worry by the nurse and she'll speak to the dr tomorrow. When I saw the baby I cried I'm so excited and hope the drop in prog is ok maybe up pessaries to3 a day ewwwww but ok for 5 weeks I guess.

Your dh seems like a keeper me4 very sweet. Also I think pain is something i will need to FET used to DS was a big bub and I ached a lot not sharp pain just niggly. Need to find a masseuse that does pg women soon.

Had a bit of a scare just then, sorry if TMI... I just went to the loo and wiped after and there was some orange/red tinged substance on the paper... It was mainly the pessary left over that was on the paper, so not really like normal blood, when having a period. I checked inside but it's all clear, no other red/orange stuff... I freaked out and luckily DH was there to calm me down. Need to go to work soon, and can't not go, so will have to take it easy. I do have ob appointment on Monday, so if nothing else, I'll just wait till then. Sorry, just needed to get this off my chest, please keep your fingers crossed for us that nothing is the matter and all is well with bub!

Green i'm so happy that you got to see a HB :) & yes the wafers are for the m/s.

I'm still here scan on Weds arvo & still sick as ever. Throwing up so much my tummy hurts but thankfully it tends to ease up around 4-5pm
Craving really fatty foods like chips & gravy so that's what i'm eating. Really hoping i can keep it down i don't think i can handle anymore vomits today :(

Me4 they can irritate you too so could just be that. Hope work goes ok today hope that is a good distraction

Ok I didn't swear at the fertility nurse but if I had the same one as yesterday I may have.. My progesterone is actually 45 NOT 20! I know it was Friday arvo but there is a huge difference I had an awful night all due to a stupid mistake! So dr said all fine and just to put my mind at ease bt Friday and no 3 pessaries which is the best bit. Also my script for my normall pills was put as 1mg not 2 so when I nearly cried at the pharmacy they changed it. Hormones are good for something.

AFM- This vomiting has to stop. I'm supposed to be getting ready for work right now but need to lay down after almost passing out during a massive vomit. Right now, I don't even care if I'm going to be running late, I need to think of myself, not work.

Thanks girls, no more discharge since this morning, so must have just been the pessary from last night or something. I will mention it on Monday when I go to the ob. Can't wait to get to the end of this pregnancy... Ha ha, only 32 weeks to go... Anyway, time for a rest now. It was crazy at work, no real time to destress.. Have a good weekend girls!

I picked up the new crib today (old one is DS2's toddler bed) and got given a doppler :D Can't wait till I'm far enough along that I can find the hb through the fat haha

hi ladies, having a meltdown here. in emergency as spotting turned bright red & increased. ob can't do internal ultrasound until tomoz, belly one shows baby is ok but bleeding hasn't stopped. comes out even when I pee. I'm in overnight for observation & scared. I can't lose another one, I've lost 2 already but no where near this far along. should I be asking them to do anything/check anything? help...

Oh no Andie :( Just wanted to send you some hugs and am keeping my fingers, knees and toes crossed the internal ultrasound comes back ok. At least a relief that the other ultrasound showed that baby is ok! Am not sure what things you should get them to check, maybe some of the other ladies might be of help. xxx

Andie- :hug: that is a tough place to be in. Have they been able to identify what is causing the bleeding? Perhaps ask them as knowledge is power. I had bleeds throughout my pregnancy with DS2 and they weren't able to find out why as the placenta seemed to be attached well. He is still here. Not doing the whole me thing, just trying to let you know you are not alone and there can be a positive outcome. FX and hoping to hear good news for you and sending as many sticky vibes as I can spare

dampyre - they haven't been able to see where bleeding is coming from. my placenta is at the front, don't know if that means anything. have to wait until tomorrow for internal to check cervix. they've taken a couple of swabs, not sure what for... infection I guess. wasn't in right frame of mind to ask really.

me asap. apparently the earliest they can call the scanner person is 8am. :-/

A lot of bleeding that far along is generally associated with the placenta coming away from the uterine wall. I'm pretty sure that's the riskiest in relation to loss at this gestation but in saying that, most of the time strict bedrest and a bit of a hospital stay (from just a week or until delivery or somewhere in between) helps to keep bub in and healthy. Can also be caused by scarring (especially if had a D&C or other surgery in there) and abrasions in the vagina. They account for most bleeding (according to the hospitals I was treated at). I hope that helps put your mind at ease at least a tiny bit. The swabs likely are to check for infection and also to check for the presence of amniotic fluid, both routine. Noone here even want to consider that you could be losing your bub. FX the scan goes well and the bleeding settles soon.

internal & external scan today, looks like I have a mild sort of placenta previa in that the placenta is very close to cervix. bleed is from blood vessel underneath placenta, or come from uterus stretching as its growing, therefore lifting a bit of placenta with it. have about 1-2 ml left to come out, or it may clot & be absorbed. possibility of it all happening again given where the placenta is lying. baby is doing well, did all the 20 week scan stuff today which was reassuring.

Jeepers Andie, what a horrid 24 hours you have had. Heart sank when reading your first post, but lifted when you said bubs was ok. Are you on bed rest? Will be quietly stalking you xxxxxxxx

So glad there is a reason andie my SIL has 2 uterus so bleeds through her pg she is from Canada and they only found it when she was here. So lots of rest and ongoing monitoring?

calluna - apparently the placenta will move upwards & away from cervix as uterus grows, so hoping it does resolve. thankyou.

vic - yeah, bed rest for now. at least until bleeding stops. have been discharged now as have only had brown spotting today. have to go back in if it turns red again. looking fwd to sleeping in my own bed tonight. exhausted after past couple days.

greenslw - yeah, monitoring too. another appt & additional scan (if I want) in next few days. and another internal scan to check cervix length & bleed spot in a week. your poor sil, glad they found the reason though, makes it a bit easier to accept when you understand why it's happening. for me, anyway.

joeve - i've been on the couch/bed since yesterday, so taking it very easy. yep, baby has no idea, thankfully.

feeling a bit better today after a good sleep. still spotting a little, but brown so ok for now. had cramp/ache lower down at 5.30am this morning but I think it's from the scans yesterday. hope everyone else in here is going ok? xx
