damprye, could you're babies just be smaller then?
Hi All,
Sorry I haven't been on here for a few days. I had my first OBGYN appointment yesterday and was freaking out about it so decided to keep distracked until yesterday. So here's how it all went....
I have a belly scan and OBGYN is concerned as I appear to be measuring at least a couple of weeks behind where we think I should be. Unable to hear heartbeat. My OBGYN is lovely but knowing I am in the medical profession he also knows I'm no fool. I have an internal scan booked today at 1:45pm (WST) to find out what is happening (or not happening). Also had blood taken yesterday. He told me there is a very BIG chance that I have a blighted ovum and to prepare myself for miscarriage. I am devastated. This will my second loss in a row in a short period of time. I have no idea how I am going to get through this. DH is holding onto hope by trying to convince me that I conceived later than we thought but I wont allow myself false hope.
Sorry for the down and out post.
VV
VV i'm sorry i have everything crossed you can see a healthy baby with the internal scan today. I will be thinking of x
VV...im so sorry about you're news, i will pray that the dates are wrong...I hope you can get through this time...:comfort: hope you can rally you're partner and family around you to be there for you at this hard time. I have no idea why these things happen and life can be so cruel...i hope you're scan gives you some better news..
 Im so sorry it wasnt better news VV. I hope the internal scan shows a healthy bub.
Oh no VV - Am hoping your bub just got conceived later than you thought... Am sending you hugs and keeping my fingers knees and toes crossed that the internal scan will show a perfectly fine little one. xxx
Melster- Yeah, all my bubs start off small but they catch up. DS2 was 8pound5 at 38 weeks. Means that unless otherwise necessary, I will not be pushed for an induction. I already went well over with DS1 so I know without complications, my body can cope. I'm actually thinking bub may come on the 22nd.
VV- I am very sorry to hear that. FX you are just measuring behind.
em - i know its early days, but congratulations. all the best for your bloods this week.
me4ever - so glad to hear your ob appt went well, fingers crossed for a breezy pregnancy.
melster - i hope you start feeling better soon. xx
greenslw - baked beans & bad tv sounds great to me! enjoy.
vv - im sorry you ob appt didnt go well. no need to apologise for your post, everyone in here knows how you feel & is hoping for the best for you today. xx
afm - still spotting a little (brown though..), i have another internal & external scan booked for monday to check on things and ob seems to think its nothing to worry about & wont cause any problems for me in the third trimester. apparently the placenta needs to be 25mm away from the cervix for it to be considered 'normal', and mine is 18mm at the moment. so it should move and get further away eventually. still resting & getting bored already...
We have a heart beat!!!!! Im only 5wks 6days instead of 7wks. All looked good. Heart beat 110bpm which is exactly where it should be and healthy yock sack seen which means everything is progressing well!!! So so happy. And it means lil bean was most likely conceived on our wedding night! On phone in middle of Medicare so will log on again a bit later. Just wanted to share the good news. Thanks for all the support x
