Hi ladies!
After that intro Sunbeam, how can I not? ;)
YAY I'm here!!!
Hello again to Cherished, Sunbeam, sunny, zstar, smallfry, greenslw, & twinsister who I remember all from TTCAML.
Hello to the ladies who I am just meeting now! My story - I lost Angel #1 in 2005, and then DH & started TTC again in 2008, had a BFP in Feb 09, then m/c in April 09, and been TTC ever since. Following m/c, I was found to have thryroid problems, and placed on meds, and also FS specialist wanted two cycles of clomid before moving to IVF - fortunatly for us, 1 cycle of clomid was enough!!
So, I got my BFP (@ 4 weeks) on 30/11 - very faint, not enough to convince me it was real until 2 days later. still haven't had a blood test yet (because of public hols), so next week.
I'm a bit nervous because I keep feeling these crampy twinges, which before my BFP I was convinced was AF on her way. I guess I won't settle till I get past 9 weeks at least!
(thinking sticky thoughts)
Anyway, I am excited to be here, and hope I am here for the duration this time!!
Hugs!!

hi all. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year. Congrats to all those with recent BFPs who I haven't chatted to before.
I'm still spotting - it's been 5 days now. I have a GP appt Monday and seeing the midwife tomorrow, but I'm losing hope atm. I had a couple of bloodtests on 21 & 26 DPO, which I managed to get the results for. The HCG numbers are great, but progesterone is really low. Combined with the spotting and the fact nearly all my symptoms have disappeared, I'm really not holding out much hope. I want to get another blood test on Monday and depending on what that says, might go for a scan after that. I'm not a fan of getting early scans - last time we saw a hb at 6 weeks and bub still died, so I believe more in what blood tests say.
For anyone who knows about these things, my results were:
21DPO - HCG= 6209, Prog = 30
26DPO HCg= 22,983, Prog = 37
I've had higher progesterone results on a CD21 (7DPO) test in a non-pregnancy cycle, so not hopeful, given I was 5+ weeks pregnant. I really hope I'm wrong, but also trying to get used to the idea we may lose this bub too.
-
tashybabe, I have no idea about the progesterone levels but the HCG looks pretty good compared to many I've seen. that everything is ok for you and bubs. Bedrest until you get to your midwife appointment. Spotting is common so maybe it's just that. My symptoms came and went at that point, they didn't settle in for another couple of weeks.

Thanks smallfry - I'm trying to be a bit more positive and stop googling low progesterone levels. Just feeling that stretching pain when I stand up makes me feel a bit better atm.
Hopefully we'll know more Monday

afm - all going great here. part of my welcome pack from my ob has a list of when i have had to do things ect tests, scans, check ups and this week it says to pack my bag. far out. i read it and nearly crapped my pants. this is really happening to me! baby is moving so much and everything is much more dramatic because he is getting bigger. i could stare at my tummy for hours watching it move. better go, mum and step dad will be here any minute for dh's famous roast. yummmmm xxx

Hi Tashybabe,
Sorry to hear about the spotting. I am on 200mg progesterone 2x a day in pesseries because I have naturally low progesterone and this may have been the cause of my m/cs. I was told they won't stop a m/c if the baby just isn't right but it will help a good bub stick if low progesterone is the problem. Hope that helps might be worth mentioning or even requesting from your midwife. Very best of luck :crossfingers:

Sunbeam well done :leap:
Cherished I remember all those symptoms and how much I loved them : I will put a pic of my cust up when it's painted, a bit boring atm.
Smallfry I love the idea of DS and a hand print on your cast. I still think there are just as many + and - for working vs not working. and no matter which side you're on there are headaches.
Milly goodluck and hope you can stay sane for the next couple of days.
Tash  for you
zstar it's great when you can see bubs move, very big time waister. oh and at 37 weeks NO MORE TESTS (hope that is something to look forward to) I hate blood tests, so glad they're over.
ATM my head is full so I'm up instead of in bed. DH crashed at10 when we went to bed. He's a bit burnt out with work being so busy. He's not complaining but I know he's tired.
My friend arrives from Darwin tomorrow for some girl time and my Birthday Monday. I'm looking forward to a bit of shopping (pain permitting) and just having someone to chat with.
-
Congrats Milly! It's awesome to see you in here!
Tashy - I know the spotting is worrisome but wow your HCG levels look great. Hopefully the low progesterone is nothing to worry about and your Dr can sort you out. I had 3 bleeds during my PG with DS and have had 2 already with this one so it doesn't always mean something bad. I have all my fingers crossed for you though that your blood work goes well on Monday.
Greenslw - Have a great time with your friend and Happy Birthday a few days early!

Hi girls,
Tashybabe-how did you go with the midwife? I hope its all okay.
I am currently anxiously waiting to get second bt results back. Had to get some more progesterone pesseries so I figured I might as well get my bt while I was there. Been trying to make a commitment to myself that if the numbers are good this time I will relax and just believe that I am at the start of a happy healthy pregnancy that will bring me a beautiful bubby. In all the wishing to be pregnant again I had forgoten how stressful it then is in the early weeks. Felt really rough before bed last night then had some strongish cramps around 2am, I hope it is just my uterus getting a bit bigger. Feel fine today so looking forward to good results.
Cherished and Milly how are you feeling?
-
I totally know what you mean Sunbeam about how stressful the early weeks are! I also had strong cramps and pinches early on and some bleeding every two weeks after 6 weeks and up to 12 weeks. Gosh did I worry/cry/stress/mourn, but it was all for nothing in the end. It was my body growing and adjusting. Every woman and pregnancy is different. You are so smart to know not to stress. Of course you will analyse little things and pay more attention, but in the end its out of our hands and only in our hearts. Dont know about you but my MS and tingly boobies didnt start until 7-8 weeks, so enjoy it while it lasts and celebrate it when it starts!

Well my bliss was short lived and my gut instinct was right. My hcg has falled from 50 to 8 so this bub is not going to stick :crying:
-
:crying: Oh Sunbeam :comfort: I just don't know what to say. I am ever so sorry.
-
Sunbeam - I am so so sorry:comfort::comfort: You must be devastated.
Greenslw - Happy birthday
I hope everyone else is well
I'm waiting for today's blood test results. I may not get them until tomorrow morning. I wasn't able to see the midwife yesterday - she had back-to-back births to attend. I saw my GP this morning and she agreed the progesterone is very low and it may well be our underlying problem. I'm hoping, but not optimisitc, IYKWIM. btw - getting progesterone pessaries isn't easy - took ages to find a chemist that has them - ended up going to the pharmacy at a hospital. Also I've been proscribed 100mg a day, but they're 200mg, so finding it hard to cut them up. My poor DH - I didn't realise how hard it's been on him too. He said today he really doesn't want another scan anytime soon - he just couldn't bear seeing another bub with no heartbeat. Broke my heart to have him go through this too.

Sunbeam, I am so sorry. my thoughts are with you :comfort:

Huge cuddles Sunbeam. Im so sorry for you. Life s very cruel and I wish there was something I could do. :crying:
