Kell you'd think i know that by now, I need to stop stressing over things i have no control over.
Easier said than done.
Reet hope you stay safe.
Still thinking of you S&S and praying everything is perfect with you and bubba.
Cheshire and Freya welcome.
Ferrals goodluck today for you and your son. Hope your scan shows your placenta has grown legs and walked up higher. FX. I thought they would do the scan later then now also like 34weeks. Will this be the last one? Woohoo on hitting 32weeks also. So close now. OMG only 5weeks for you until term. Everyone is saying I am small also. ****ing me of as its like because I look small must mean my pregnancy is so easy for me. Forget that I'm up 20kilos and have SPD and varicose veins in my woohaa (not that they know that) but poor SIL who is all baby and at 34weeks is up 4kilos. Arrr it can be frustrating.
Cheshire my symptoms came and went especially before 6-7weeks. Some days I had a job to move without a bucket and others I'd be virtually symptom free.
Kellbell hope its not so hot for you today. Its been aweful here also. Well into the 40's. Even the aircon seems to be doing jack.
Alish hope your ok with the bushfires and Reet with Yasi.
Clairesmummy yeah on your scan and seeing a gorgeous little HB.
Mo knowing it dosent always help in those 1st 12 weeks or the rest of it either. I freak when ever he is quiet and hes just asleep prob poor kid im always poking him to move!
Thanks mildez DS has his u/s tomorrow but the doc said if the placenta is still covering the os then no need for a repeat scan it wont move between now and the birth but if the placenta has moved off the os and is at the side i will have a repeat scan at 36 weeks to see where it is.
And yes i know what you mean my belly might be small and i get all the comments oh your not very big and you must be having a small baby i have put on 6kg but feel soooo uncomfortable and heavy.
You must be feeling pretty awful with the extra weight and the vain in your vajay jay plus the SPD not to much longer and it will be over and we will have our bubs.
Reet-hope you have evacuated.
S&S-worried about you hope all is ok.
Alish-bushfires! thats the last thing you need.
Clairsmummy-good news on bubs scan and HB.
AFM-i am off to have my scan wish me luck the placenta has taken a hike up hill.
Alish....yeah i know. I have been quiet good since the 12 week scan. It comes across my mind now and again and every time they put the doppler on for a minute i panick....I swear i cant feel slight movement tho....
Kellbell....i cant believe you're nearly 30 weeks..seems like yesterday you said you were pregnant!!!! Im glad everything is going well.
Cheshire...hope everything goes well. Its easier said than done to not worry, its very normal to feel the way do after what you have been through. I only started to relax at 12 weeks. I had a heaps hard time, and i had some bleeding etc. I was a complete nightmare...
Hey Mildez
Ferrals...good luck!!! Hope it has risen for you!!!!!!!!!!
SS..I really hope and pray you are ok...we are all thinking of you...
Melster your ticker is flying by too. I know this preg has gone really fast think its having a toddler around to keep me busy. Ellas preg took forever and ever!!!
Good luck Ferrals hope your placenta has taken a big hike out of the way!!
Thinking of everyone who is being affected by fires and other bad weather.
I know that i should poke my head in once in a while but i think that that depression has hit after having the baby i should be over the moon when i am with her i am. But my BF mom is here and is stuck with the blizzard that we are having and my bf kids are coming this weekend and we have not had time to bond as a family just the three of us. I told him that is what i wanted after she was born to have sometime to adjust i dont want his kids here this weekend
Thank you for the kind words ladies I truly appreciate them alot. Yes it was a huge releif to see bubs little HB on screen and even greater to hear the sonographer tell me I have a very healthy little embryo inside there.
Ferrals~ Good luck for your scan today darl I am praying your placenta has taken up mountain climbing and is well on it's way up and out the road for bub to come into the world naturally for you darl. Good Luck and thinking of you today.
Praying Reet and all our North Qlders are high dry and safe before the devastation of Yasi arrives. Thinking and praying for you all up there.
AFM~ Not alot happening still feeling very sick no chuckin up as yet just feel like I am about to, so I don't know which is worse the feeling of needing to or the actual event of being sick. DF told me the other night I have an over hang, his way of being nice and telling me I am getting FAT, lol. I am now waiting for the midwife to ring me back from the hospital I am booking into for my first appointment with an OB and I also have to have an appointment to see a midwife as well, so that will be a huge day when that comes around.
At the moment we are hitting about 38deg. here so I think I will venture to the bedroom today and hide as it's the only room in the house with air cond. Must have it put in the house though before bub arrives even though the MIL has told us if we get air con put in our house she will never visit us again. Hmmmm not a hard decision to make when she says that the sooner we can get it put in the better for all of us I say. lol. My MIL i nothing but a dragon when DF told her of our BFP we never got a congrats we got...... Dont tell me I dont wanna know. hmm yeah, dragon lady.
OMG it is SO CALM outside it is creepy.. not a leaf is moving.. the calm before the storm.. We are evacuating to the school 2 mins away from our house. I really dont think our home will be standing at the end of it.. Found out some 'secret info' from the SES last night.. they have sent 200,000 body bags in, THAT has freaked me out! Will check in as soon as i can, hopefully we dont lose reception for too long. Thanku so much for ur thoughts xxx
OMG Reet, what a horrible thing to find out. Sad thing is that it really does seem like it is going to be that bad :( a lot of people will refuse to leave their houses and by looking at the satallite imageds and radar images, it is going to be a doozy. Hope your family is one of the many that will make it. The eye shoould be hitting about midnight going by the track map.
S&S- How is everything?
Angelfish- My friend went through a very similar thing. She got almost no time with just bub or bub and dh in hospital and then when they got hom it got even worse. Well wishers and MIL would not leave them alone to establish a proper bond and yeah, she ended up with very severe PND. I hope things settle down quickly and you get to spend time as a family with your new and beautiful baby.
clairesmummy- it doesn't seem to go long between feeling like puking and actually doing so lol. The night before mine started I thought that it would be a good idea to go get a bujcket the nexgt day... I basically woke up with my head in the toilet bowl that next morning haha!
Ferrals- good luck.
There is way to much for me to remember to do proper persies so sorry to the MANY I have missed this morning. I do read your posts though :)
AFM- Still sick as and my nipples ARG! Surely they wont just hurt more as the pregnancy continues.... So bad as they are now :( Patiently waiting for the NT scan now, just another week left I think.
Kellbell...yeah i know. im 16 weeks already. yeah i agree, i have to run around after my DD and work a few days a week. Think thats why i havent put on as much weight. My first pregnancy took forever as well.
Angelfish...do you think you have post natal, or just the baby blues? Oh i can completely understand about the step kids. We had two living with us and the other with there mum and apart from all the crazy hormones and the post natal i just wanted to be home alone. There mum wouldnt take them so i kicked up a massive storm. He eventually got them to go to there uncles for a couple weeks. I wanted bonding time, but also learning how to bfeed and i was a first time mother and wanted to suss things out.... Is there a way you can try and change it, tell them your sick or something and theyll have to come another weekend?
Clairesmummy...she does sound like a dragon lady
Reet....oh i hope you're house is still standing and everyone is safe..thinking of you
be safe reet!
angelfish - i would feel the same, im big on bonding time, especially if you have hardly been together as a family. hope you start feeling better soon!
all good here fires are about 30 mins away we will be fine at our house! just crap with the smoke!
clairesmummy -shes not a dragon..shes a b*tch haha! dont let her rain on your parade!
sorry for anyone ive missed, its my lunchbreak and im stuffing my face :D hope youre all having a good day!
Reet stay safe. That body bag thing sounds weird. I'd be inclined to think someone has told a little fib. That seems excessive.
Yes Ferrals I tell myself that its almost over and I'll have my longed for little baby and then I can worry about my appearance.
Angelfish boo to having MIL stuck and your DH kids coming. Sounds like a nightmare. I had a similar problem with my MIL when DD was born. She came to help but all it meant was not been able to relax. MIL did try she cooked and cleaned which she did an awesome job but I didn't have anytime with DH and DD and even 3days in hospital MIL was with DH and DD so there was no us time. We couldn't even discuss names between each other without MIL trying to name bub. I hope you have some much needed time to yourselves soon. I've given DH the lecture this time but problem is MIL is coming again. Atleast this way I hopefully can BF and shower in the delivery room without hiding naked under a blood stained sheet (DH let both his parents in within minutes of DD been born then they didn't leave) Arrr family. Don't you love them!
Ferrals hoping to hear great news that your placenta has hiked up the hill. I'll be so excited for you if it has. Also hope your DS gets good results.
Sorry if I miss anyone, I'm doing these persies from memory and my brain is partially cooked in this heat. Blerrrrghhhhh
Reet - :o What an awful thing to hear.. I hope it was just a rumour. You know what people can be like during the drama of an approaching cyclone. I'm so glad you guys evacuated and I know you'll be okay. I'll be thinking of you, stay safe hun!
Angelfish - Don't be afraid to ask for what you need. Tell everyone you need some time just as the three of you to bond. If you can't get out of having DP's kids there, at least make it clear to him that he will need to keep them occupied and out of your hair while you tend to the baby etc. It's not ideal, but it's better than feeling overwhelmed trying to 'do it all'. If you feel at any time you aren't coping, speak up. Scream and yell if you have to, just don't suffer quietly.
Sunshine - I hope everything's okay hun.... where are you??
Clairesmummy - Congrats on a great scan, yay!!! Don't worry about your overhang... you should see my massive belly LOL.
Everyone else - Hi and belly rubs to all :)
AFM - I think it's time to retreat to the bathtub for a while.................. my god it's hot I don't even want to know the temp. I'm guessing over 30.
Just a real quick one from me
Levels on Monday were 155 & today they are 437 so they have more than doubled :D
Forshelby hoping your loving that tub.
Cheshire wonderful results. Woohoo.
Mildez - I opted for a cold shower instead as my belly sticks out of the water in the bathtub.. lol.
Cheshire - GREAT results!
