MM~ with this pregnancy my HCG went up just like that so please dont give up hun. I am praying for you that we hear good news.
Luna~ I am so sorry that you did not get great news at your scan. But like India's mum said there is a good chance that the other kidney will be fine and she will be fine. I knew of someone who had a baby with the same problem and the ped told her that she needed to watch the dr and when the she got older she would not be able to drink.
Saffy~ please stay postive i know its easyer said then done.
AFM~ i have my big scan on the 20th dont know if i am going to find out the sex of this one. I don't care as long as the baby is healthy.
-
Saffy: Superexcited to see you in this thread! Congratulations! Stickiest of sticky vibes to you!
Luna: sorry your little girl is having some health issues. I hope you get good news at your next scan.
Minnie: thinking of you. Hope you get some good news soon.
Stoked: not sure if you are still checking in but i'm keeping an eye out for your BA.
AFM: baby is very squashed now i think: s/he kicks and stretches and my whole tummy moves. Lots of hiccups too. All a bit uncomfortable but very cute! I'm on countdown now: One more day on blood thinner injections and meds then i stop. And one more week until induction! Eeeeeeep! Getting nervous!
-
PM- Woohoo, only a week left :D so excited for you!!
Stoked- We are all hanging out for your BA lol
Angelfish- I'm sure you'll be happy whether you find out the sex or not as long as you get to see a nice healthy bub on the screen :)
Luna- Sorry to hear about the scan. Thinking positively for you both that the other kidney does just fine. May not help the stress much but my Uncle was born with only one good kidney and it hasn't affected his life much if at all :)
Saffy and EJ- Woohoo congratulations :D sending all my sticky vibes to you and everyone else in here since I don't need them anymore (would rather this bub out lol)
Phebee and WBM- I'm sure your lil angels are looking over these new bubs since they couldn't stay themselves.
India's Mum, Cheshire, Alish and anyone else I have missed- How are you all going?
AFM- In my shower bath on my fit ball trying to encourage bub out lol. Officially in early labour after being monitored earlier but doesn't mean too much to me since DS was such a long early labour. Just makes me even more eager to get him or her out... After s/he decided to get out of the posterior position that my lil one wriggled into while hooked up to the ctg monotor lol. Either want to go on the 7th or the 13th so hurry up baby :p
-
Luna - my uncle too only has one kidney and it hasn't stopped him doing anything, :crossfingers: that the other kidney remains healthy.
PM - so exciting! Only a week to go :) looking out for your BA
Damp - even more exciting to be in early labour :) I hope things go really well for you in the next day or so :D Glad bubs is out of the posterior position!
Saffy - welcome! How wonderful for you to get your BFP - good luck for your upcoming scan, may you see a lovely strong heartbeat!
angel - good luck for your upcoming scan, whether you find out or not, hope all is good in there :)
Cheshire, India's Mum - how are you going? In the boring stage of pg like me, nothing to report? Hope so, a boring pregnancy's a good pregnancy!
I'm nearly through a busy weekend, Mary Kay party friday night, hairdresser and my brother's 30th yesterday, and I have a baby shower today :) must get around to piping the chocolate tarts and cleaning the house a bit (DH's family are coming around while I'm out)
-
Oops, sorry, I really need to check my spelling, just a lil had on my phone. Meant to say after s/he decides* to get out of the posterior position lol. So not having another posterior birth, already been killing my back and DS's labour was soooo long and difficult because of it.
If this bub is anything like big bro, it could take more than a few days of early labour before active labour starts lol.
WBM- I think the 'boring' stage is awesome. Everyone has calmed down and you get to spend time with your belly and all its wriggliness lol.
Yays on the baby shower, I'm tempting fate and having mine Sunday the 14th... If I make it lol
-
hey everyone...
just popping into say hello and i miss u all and thinking of everyone....wish i was pregnant again so i could come in here lol lol...
ariana is going well....she is tiny compared to dd..she sleeps pretty good and is feeding better
dads had a bad turn for the worst and has another tumor and is in hospital....so its not looking great....luckily i have my beautiful dd by my side to keep me going.....
cant wait to hear some birth stories
-
hi girls,
thankyou for your thoughts :grouphug: im sorry im slack at personals but just wanted to update you and ask you your thoughts....
im just so confused and in limbo, it seems im still pregnant but the numbers aren't going up as they should, they were 14800 last wednesday and today was 19515, dr is cautious, basically saying it is still viable and growing but if it slow it might mean there is a problem. she has said to have a scan 2 weeks after the first which isn't for another 9 days.
i just don't know what to think, i really thought it was all over and now i don't know what to think, don't know if there is any hope and don't want to get my hopes up only to find them crushed in a few days, i have cried for days over this and it doesn't look like i will know much more anytime soon *sigh* why is it so hard
-
Minnie: I'm wishing so hard for you that the news will be good but I understand why you are scared to hope when the doctors aren't giving you 100% reassurance. I've been told that in general there is a range for heartrate and size that they expect to see at certain points in the first trimester and they get worried if you are measuring more than a few days behind. (I think size and HR tells them more than HCG levels?) But even with these there might be some variation? If only it wasn't such a terrible waiting game.... I'll be thinking of you and hoping for good news. Could you get a scan done after one week (instead of waiting two) or does the doctor think it won't give you enough information?
-
Minnie~ i am sending you long distance hugs. Maybe if the dr thinks that two weeks would show better maybe you could have two with in the two weeks. If you explain how stressful this is on you.
AFM~ on the 11th i have my morph scan I wish that the day would get her soon but i am scared to have it done if that makes sence
-
Damp how you doing?
Angelfish good luck for Thursday will be thinking of you.
PM Wow your so close , how are we stalking for your BA?
Minnie i have everything crossed for you, Must be hard having to wait so long for another scan tho
Nothing new happening here :D
-
minniemouse - sending you lots of hugs darl  If it makes you feel better, my HCG levels with DD at around 6wks were only 700 and something, and almost 2 weeks later were only around the 15,000 mark, so your levels are still ok and I'm keeping everything crossed that bub stays in there! DD also had a low HR at out 7wk6d scan - only around 120 something I think, it was a year ago now, so my memory is a bit hazy. Keep hoping, pray, whatever you need to do, and try not to stress too much (very hard to actually so I know!), take some time for yourself, treat yourself to something special just for you xxx thinking of you!
Hi everyone else!
Not much happening here... haven't actively been on BB for a while - though have stopped by to see who had babies...
Feeling a little lost these days, last week hubby told me we could have another baby or 2 in a couple of years and then turned around and told me the other night that Elise was it and he wanted the vasectomy as soon as possible... don't really know where to go from here now... I don't belong in the preg or ttc or even pre-ttc threads anymore and most of those in my baby buddies group will be having more kids in future, I don't know where to go :(
It sucks, I'm only 24 and now I'll have to spend the next 20+ years getting AF every month until menopause comes along knowing that I'll never have another baby... I just want to cry and I can't :(
Sorry, bringing you all down, but I don't know where else I can go, and I know you all will understand how I'm feeling :(
-
Cheshire- Still around, for now ;)
Angelfish- I know exactly what you mean. Scans are almost always scary to me. Only time I haven't been sh*tting myself, was todays scan. So exciting to see bub but there is that huge worry of the "what ifs" and there are so many to list. I hope everything goes well and bub is growing great with everything in perfect working order :)
Minniemouse- Still sending sticky vibes your way and hope your little bub shows improvement at your next scan
Melster- Glad to hear your lil one is doing so well and sorry to hear about your Dad.
PM- How much longer now? Sorry, I keep asking, my memory is crod and I can't see sigs on my phone.
AFM- Another long one. Ended up at the hossy yesterday thanks to the biggest bleed this pregnancy. Scared the daylights outta me but turns out it was just my bloody show lol. Sometimes instead of being all mucousy, it can be an actual bleed. I had no idea that the mucous plug and bloody show can be different things. Apparently, there are two different parts of the cervix. Spotting mostly brown (old blood) today as well as some pink mucous which is apparently the mucous from between the sac and uterus. So much weird stuff I knew nothing about lol.
Had another growth scan today and wowza, bub appears to be putting on 1.5pounds every 2weeks instead 1pound every 2weeks. They recon that bub is about 8pounds/3.6kgs now. Also my water levels are fantastic! Last fornight they measured in at 11cm and today 21cm! So totally nothing to stress about anymore :)
It has come time to set up a management plan because of bub's size. Not gonna make it 40+weeks as it'll be too high of a risk for a c-section. Doing what I can to naturally bring labour on naturally and if that doesn't work, I'll be getting a stretch and sweep next Tuesday as well as chosing an induction date for within that next week. Means that I'll be having this bub between 38 and 39weeks unless I go this week. Nervous, scared and so excited all at once. Less than 2weeks and I hold my baby on my arms! :D Guess I'd better get those bags packed lol.
-
MM - thinking of you honey, what a horrible position to be in - limbo is a pretty apt description! If you can't hang out another 9 days, insist on a scan before that I reckon. Lots of  coming your way!
JJ - Don't let him have the vasectomy yet! Not if he's changing his mind in a week, I reckon give it at least 12-18 months before he does something drastic, what if he changes his mind further down the track! There'll always be somewhere you belong on here - there are plenty of parenting threads (not that I'm trying to get rid of you).
angel - good luck for your morphology scan, hope it's all good :)
PM - hope all's good on your end!
Cheshire - like me, no news is good news :)
Damp - that would have freaked me out too! Glad all is well in there, sounds like bubs is ready to make an arrival soon which is exciting :)
Again, nothing new here - sooooo much movement, this little one is VERY active which is lovely. Also means you freak out if it doesn't move for an hour (lol), but still lovely to have company all the time. We've just finished our census form, so DS got to get counted for the first time which is exciting :) Although when asked how well he speaks English... lol he's not quite 2!
-
Damprye: yowser, that's some great baking you've done! wow, good size for bub! Race you to the delivery room : ) I'm going in on Sunday for an induction.
Cheshire: T-hopes was going to be my P.I.G so you should hear through her. Glad to hear 'nothing new happening'... No news is good news i guess. Feeling ok? It must be hard to be pregnant with two little misses to look after. I find one little miss enough of a handful!
Angelfish: all the best for your scan in a couple of days.
Jenna Jayen: That's a hard situation to be in: to feel sure at 24 that you have finished your family. Why is your husband so keen on a vasectomy which is generally meant to be a permanent thing? Could you persuade him to think about you (as a couple) using another long-term contraceptive that doesn't 100% shut the door on another child (given how young you are) in case things change in future but would make him feel secure about preventing pregnancy for the time being. You know, like you getting an IUD or one of those implant things you can get that is a hormone based contraceptive (and lasts years but can be taken out if you decide to TTC)? Hugs, that must be a hard thing to talk through.
Hi everyone else. Hope all are well.
-
thank you ladies for all your kind words. The wait for the scan is driving me nuts. I am going to see my ob-gyn on Thursday, I will ask if we can see some specialist earlier, I just do not think I can wait 3 more weeks to see the same doctor on top of that. I do not trust him.
minniemouse- how are you doing? Any news? I keep my fingers crossed.
damprye - that is going to be one big baby! I hope you go soon, so the delivery is not that tough for you.
JJ - sounds like your hubby will change his mind a hundred times on this. It is best that he does not do anything drastic. If he is like any other guy, he will never actually get around to scheduling doctor's appt for this vasectomy, so maybe it is best not to broach the subject for a while, so he forgets. He may feel different when Elise is older and more independent.
possum - I cannot believe you are having a baby this weekend, it seems to go so fast, I still remember your BFP! Any chance you will go earlier than your induction? Induction is not fun.
-
PM i'm actually coping better now than i did earlier in the pregnancy, the only hard is thing is cant bend or lift heavy things so trying to do shoelaces up on a 18kg 4yr is a little hard lol
I also find i can't walk for long periods without getting horrible back pain but otherwise everything is going well :D
JJ i'm 26 & Bambi will be our last so i do know how you feel
Minnie i forgot to say Bambi measured a week behind in all my early scans with a low HB of 106 at 6w5d, i still have everything crossed for you.
Damp good luck beating the induction :D
-
Hello everyone :)
JJ- Im with everyone else on this. Dont let your hubby make a drastic disicion just yet!
Dampyre- so Close!
Luna- good luck on your scan
Minne- Thinking of you and hope everything turns out alright :)
AFM- OB appt on the 15th and hopefully we can go ahead and schedule the anatomy scan for the end of this month :) Feeling kind of low with regards to my parents being sort of horrible at the moment..but other than that pretty good :)
-
just a wuick one for me, not that it looks like I have been missed in here..... :( just kidding ladies.
I have just got out of hospital yesterday have been really sick since last Friday and DR said I have a bad chest infection, I have been in bed since last Friday spent 1 night in hospital after being taken there by amubulance as i was having HUGE problems breathing. But I am slowly back on the mend still feeling sick thinking and hoping it's ms. Had a BT yesterday to check my levels get the results tomoz for them, feeling very nervous and scared about losing bub after being so sick and they said I had lots of blood in a urine test they did on me, but that could just be from the viral infection I hope and pray this bub is a stayer....
Sorry for lack of persies ladies will catch up when I feel better.
-
Clare'smummy- that sound horrible, you poor thing, I really hope you feel better soon and I am sure your sticky little one will be stuck firmly in place still, and that your illness will have no effect but sending some more :stickyvibesboy: just to make you feel better. Tak care darl xx
Luna- sorry to hear you scan wasn't reassuring, I hope you can get some answers quickly, that is a long time to wait, I can understand your stress about it xx
minnie- hope you are still hanging in there, and that things are on the improve :stickyvibesboy:
TheMrs- good luck for your OB appt and scan!
Damprye- hope you are in labour as i am typing this!!
possummagic- best of luck hun for your induction, I can remember your bfp too, god time flies xx
hi cheshire, wannabemum, angelfish, and anyone i have forgotten :)
afm- not many more symptoms, just getting a bit more tired, nearly 5 weeks here lol, I am very far behind most of you who are about to give birth!! Oh well, I will get there, still on cloud nine after my bfp!
-
Saffy wont be too long before your 30+ weeks.
I know it feels like forever but once you start seeing your Ob/Dr time goes a lot quicker :D
CM sounds like you've been having a really rough time, glad your starting to feel better now & fx for great results tomorrow :D
Jess good luck with your OB appt & your so close to finding out what your little bundle is.
-
CM - that's awful! I hope you're starting to feel better :( when were you going to have your scan again? I hope you're getting plenty of rest and are healing quickly.
Saffy - we all started at that point of pregnancy too :) Seems a long way to go, but boy it seems to all of a sudden be a lot further along! I'm so happy about your BFP hun :)
DS has developed conjunctivitis today poor love, so we're salt water washing his eye and hoping I caught it really early (think I did, I got it when it was just looking like a bit of sleep, so hopefully it'll clear up soon). Best go start preparing dinner :) I think grumblebum will stay in the house this evening (DS that is), he's a bit grumbly with feeling uncomfortable.
-
clare'smum and minnie i am thinking of both of you hope everything is well
Dampry~ wow you are close better get those bags packed i waited to the last min with honor
AFM~ Tommorow i have my scan i cant wait until i get to the bub
-
Just a quickie, sorry for the utter lack of persies.
Seen my OB yesterday and had my first s&s. Went for a huge walk and got to cleaning and guess what?....... NOTHING!
Had a couple BH an hour or so after he done it but that's it. 4.5cm dilated and 50% effaced. Baby get out!
Sorry for the sooky post but I am so over the constant vomiting, pain, feeling like crap, unable to do anything and now the horrid heartburn cos of all the pressure this big bub is putting on my organs. Can't remember if I mentioned it but bub was 8pounds on Tuesday going via u/s.
-
Another quicky for me sorry ladies, still pretty much out of it but now we can add MS on top of chest infection as I am trying to cough the gunk up off my chest I am also trying to not be sick and throw up. Rang and got my BT results this morning and DR is pretty worried about my glucose levels apparently they were only just under the highest they should be so he is sending a letter and all results off to my GP and I am to go in and see her in a couple of weeks time. My HCG level came back really high apparently he said to me you definately have something growing inside you I said well thats good but can I get the numbers please, BT was at 39000 on Tuesday morning up from 2500 just on 1.5weeks ago. So I feel a little better now about that, now I just have to get through until next Thursday when I have my first scan. FX
Will come back and do some persies when I feel a little healthier.
-
Damp it's too long now chick, just think of how quick your labour should be seeing as your almost half way there :)
CM that's fantastic news, sounds like you've got yourself one very sticky baby in there :D
-
Damp - at least you're able to do your dilating and effacing without painful labour, lol. Hopefully you get to 8cm then start having contractions :) Sending you labour vibes!
CM - that does sound good (except for the MS and sickness stuff). Glad your bubs is doing well. FWIW, the steroids (natural ones) and your immune system can send your metabolism strange and cause an increase in blood glucose (because it's trying to give you plenty of energy for healing). I wouldn't be too worried about them unless they're really high, but I'm sure your GP will sort that out anyway. It's a pity you're so sick while you're pregnant - you can't even take the good stuff :( Take care of yourself - and I hope there's someone treating you with kid gloves!
angel - how did your scan go today? It was today right?
All is well here - still boring. I seem to have got to DS's conjunctivitis early, he's just a little bit red today, not too gunky. Thank goodness - and he's a great little patient, I don't think many adult patients I've looked after have been this tolerant with eye toilets!
-
Hi Ladies
Just a quick question for you all, I had an ultrasound last Friday and it showed a healthy bub 7weeks 4 days, but it also showed a bruise/bleed next to the placenta. On Monday I started to have some brown stained cm (TMI sorry!) and has been happening all week. Went to Drs and did a hcg test wednesday and apparently my levels have dropped slightly since Friday. However in the mean time my Dr rang a specialist re my ultrasound report and he said he would not be worried about my cm colour and not even worry about checking my hcg levels, to tell me not to worry and it sounds fine. I had another test today but have to wait until Monday for those results and another ultra sound. So my question is has anyone had lower than normal hcg results and had a normal pregnancy? Waiting until Monday is going to kill me!!
Much love to you all and will do some personals at another time when I am not so stressed out!!!
Love Trace.
-
Hi EJ - remember between 8-12 weeks HCG levels tend to plateau (especially if they were quite high). Ultrasounds at this stage are much more reliable - I'd be asking for another u/s, just to check, that's the definitive! If you've got the small bleed near the placenta, the brown blood is likely to be that, but I'd be wanting another scan anyway, because I'm paranoid :) There is no harm to bubs to have another scan soon. Good luck!!
-
I agree with WB at 8wks levels tend to decline slightly & then plateau, as for the bleed it's also normal to spot if you have a bruise/bleed.
The fact it was brown is good as it means old blood.
All the best for Monday x
-
duh - you already said you were having another u/s. I even read that, just forgot. I blame hormones! But I'm with Cheshire anyway. It's "only" a couple more days, and old blood is good blood :) Try to get some relaxation over the weekend! Big
-
Hi everyone just have a quick min but i found out that i am having a girl!!! this will be my last
-
Hi Ladies
Looks like I wont be in your group anymore, have had a massive bleed this weekend and terrible cramping.
Thank you for all of your advice and support. Hope to see you in here one day in the not too distant future, however I doubt that I will be TTC again for a while. Just too heartbroken at the moment.
Much love and best wishes to you all
Trace
-
EmilyJames- So sorry to hear that
Angelfish- Congratulations hun :D
WBM- The dilating and effacing have been painfull. Because of the preterm labour, I got the contractions to go with it and have had an irritable uterus ever since, although everything has calmed down since the first s&s which wasn't painful but "only" got me an extra 0.5cm. I wish it never hurt lol. Although I can definately see how you read it that way after rereading my last post lol. And thanks for the labour vibes, hopefully they'll work ;) Glad you caught the conjunctivitis early, that can get nasty otherwise.
Cheshire- I'm hoping to gosh it does go fast once things get going again lol.
CM- Glad to hear your levels are going so well. Can't wait to see a pic after your scan *hint hint* lol
AFM- Had my baby shower today which went great so I am so relieved after the absolutely horrid one I had with DS.
I can't feel any of bub's head above my pelvis anymore, just shoulders lol, but still not coming yet, bub is far to active lol.
-
Dampyre- You are so close!!! I cant wait to read your birth announcement and hear what he/she is! :)
EmilyJames- I am so so sorry :(
AFM- I am still feeling movements on both sides of my stomach..which is really weirding me out because I know the baby is totally not big enough to reach both sides of my complete stomach yet..at the same time
-
Emily i'm really sorry to hear that
Jess no idea, they are ready checked for twins didn't they? Maybe you just have a long baby.
Damp, saw your having more contractions, hope things have progressed for you & your holding your little one :)
Angelfish congrats.
Nothing happening here, time seems to be going quickly & i really need to start getting things so i'm not running/waddling around last minute.
-
Cheshire- Im starting to wonder haha if I have a long baby lol...I had my last ultrasound at 10 weeks but since I have almost 2 complete uterus they only look in the one that held the baby..but i bet im just crazy lol
-
Damprye I hope bubs is close to coming :)
Hi to everyone else. Sorry can't do persies right now I'm in a bit of a rush to get ready.
Afm 14 weeks tomorrow I've had the occasional bleed but not too much. Starting to enjoy pregnancy... Finally lol
Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk
-
Jess i think we are all a little crazy lol
LD glad your finally able to start enjoying your pregnancy & i hope the occasional bleeding stops soon for you.
-
Unfortunatly the contractions have all but gone. I keep getting really frustrated by DS and XDP and each time I crack it, things seem to calm down more. Cannot wait till DS is in daycare, then all I have to do is drop him off at my Nan's tonight and don't see him again till tomorrow arvo. And XDP is leaving today. Then I just have to deal with other XDP tomorrow night after my second S&S.
-
Possum Magic has had her little bundle
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ay-its-168032/
Damp bummer about the contractions Fx your still able to beat your induction, will you get a date tomorrow?
Anyone heard from Stoked or Minnie?
