Angelfish - I had two threatened miscarriages due to bleeding with this pregnancy and I am still going at almost 28 weeks. Don't give up hope, your baby could be absolutely fine. How many weeks are you now?
AFM - Failed my first glucose test so now I have to organise the longer one. I know GD is quite common and very treatable but I feel like a failure.
-
Hi everyone i am doing okay .... I am 14 going on 15 weeks thankyou all for thinking of me i am trying to stay as postive as i can
-
angel - One of the girls in my BB group had a major haemorrhage at 14 weeks and is carrying a completely normal pregnancy at nearly 22 weeks (and counting). Don't lose hope - I'm glad you're doing ok today :)
Phee - my new EDD is 21 November - I hope once 5 August is past I will be able to fully enjoy 21 November :)
India's Mum - so hard :( I hope your second test is completely normal! If it's not, at least you know there are HEAPS of ways to deal with it, and the general rule is that changing your diet pretty much normalises things. I hope the feeling of failure is waning
I'm doing fine - lots of wriggling. Next appointment is 4 August, I'm assuming I'll get my referral for my GCT then. Thankfully I now work with a woman who is a registered midwife and just finishing her studies to be a diabetes educator - so if I do wind up with GD at least I have a great resource!
-
Angelfish - *hugs* I had 4+ bleeds with Elise, the last at 13 weeks was quite heavy and bright red combined with bad back pain like I get when I miscarry, and she's a happy and healthy 3.5month old now xx I'm sending lots of super sticky vibes your way hun xx
India's Mum - I had GD with DD, it's not all that bad, you just can't eat certain things and have to stick a needle in your finger/s several times a day lol and the injecting with insulin if you're unlucky enough to need to do that at some point if the diet management fails isn't that bad either, just look away as you do it for as long as you need to until it isn't as bad anymore :)
And you're not a failure either - I still ended up with my VBAC at 40+2 and had an 8 pounder (3.665kg) when most women with GD will have their babies earlier (around 38wks) via induction or c-sec due to the increased risk of larger babies and problems with bub's BSL's after birth.
Chin up hun, it's all good and if you need to chat about it you can always PM me :)
Hi everyone else, still keeping tabs on you all :) I miss being in here and can't quite bring myself to disappear from the scene yet :)

thank you wannebeamum and jandj~ i am so lucky to have so much support also Honor my almost 6th month to help me along this no more bleeding and i have a doppler hearing the hart beat helps so much

Angelfish, i've had a few bleeding scares this pregnancy & everything is going well here.
It's scary, but everything will be ok
Gonna copy & Past from BB Group.
I had some bleeding last night again & saw my OB this morning.
They got me in nice & early this morning. I'm glad i don't go on Thursdays it's so busy & there was no parking.
Anyways, i'm starting to dilate but he said it's normal being my 3rd pregnancy, he couldn't see any reason for the bleeding but if i have any more bleeds then i need to go for an U/S. Otherwise my cervix looks normal for 28wks & a 3rd pregnancy :)
Bambi is fine & measuring on dates with a lovely strong HB.
My Iron levels are dropping fast & at this rate i'll need another infusion before i give birth because if i hemorrhage again then i'll have no way to build my blood count back up without an Transfusion or 2.
My Vit D levels are even lower & i have to take twice the dose of Vit D & Bambi will need some after birth as well because it will have an effect on her.
My GTT results were. 4.2, 6.6 & 6.1 so all completely normal.
I see him again next week & then fortnightly, till 36wks & then weekly visits.
Time is going to go a lot faster now!

Cheshire: Glad everything seems ok. It must be a bit unsettling with the bleeds. Glad your OB could reassure you. Also, thanks for putting the updated list of people's EDDs and babies. So excited i'm number two on the list. I'm 'due' on 28th August but actually being induced on 15th August (38wks) so only 10 days after Stoked is due.
Angelfish: I'm sorry you've had the stress of bleeding. As other people have said, it can be ok. You are past the highest danger point now and into second trimester so hopefully all smooth sailing from now on.
India's mum: I 'failed' my 1st Glucose test with DD then passed the second test. The first one is overly sensitive so fingers crossed you got a false positive and the 2nd one comes up negative. But if not, i understand you will be disappointed- easier not to have GD. But i hope you won't hold onto the 'failure' idea: it's not like you could have done anything to prevent it. It's just one of those things.
Becnxavi: Delighted to hear you got a good 12wk scan result. So excited for you. Keep popping in from time to time with updates!
Alish, how are you managing work at the moment? Are you finishing work soon? You must be dying to be able to put your feet up a bit! And are they still renovating at work?
Damprye; HOw are you feeling?
Wannabemum: Yay for the wriggly bub!
Hello to anyone i accidentally missed (especially all the gorgeous mums like Reet, Tegam, JennaJayen and Mildez, and more who have visited recently!)
AFM: Finishing work next week. Can't wait. It really hit me today: Feeling heavy, and so uncomfortable with a very wriggly bub who kept kicking me, stretching and punching my cervix (makes me jump!) I've been feeling hiccups in the last week too. Very cute. Seeing my OB tomorrow for the first time in three weeks. Looking forward to it. I was a bit unsettled by so much movement today (stupid i know- cos i'd also worry if it wasn't moving enough!) I was worried it might mean baby is stressed out in some way. Feel free to tell my i'm crazy or offer reassurance! Looking forward to some reassurance. So excited: Just over 4wks til i'm induced and :crossfingers: baby is here safely.

morning!
cheshire - what a scare :O glad everything is ok though, will make you feel better having those regular dr's visits.. i know it has for me
possum hi! with the kicking hiccups etc - same!! sometimes its really not nice though, it bl00dy hurts!! my bubs moves flat out, all day so dont be stressed! everyone is different.. thats what i had to tell my friend, she thought something was wrong cuz she can only feel movements of a night
i finish work on the 5th aug, so 3 weeks! ill be 35 weeks.. im struggling being on my feet all day so i just grab a chair and sit down, i get a few snide comments like oh youre so fat you have to sit down, i know most of it is in jest so i just let it roll off my back! renovations are finished woo!! not that it matters, ill be gone soon anyway and i cannot WAIT!
im finding it harder to drive now too! get a bit breathless and sore after too long but its all worth it!
hello to everyone & have a nice weeked

Cheshire - I'm glad things are going ok and that the hb is strong. Seeing your Ob frequently will hopefully just help to keep and eye on everything - stay safe little bubby and stay in Mummy until it's your turn (I think she's impatient to meet her sisters :) )
Sorry, that's it for persies - I can hear DS running amok in the lounge room and I think I should see what he's destroying!
All good here - in that boring middle phase when everything just stays the same :) Did too much yesterday with DS so back is suffering today, but that's my own fault! Saw a friend and her newborn yesterday - they're doing really well. He was a big bubba (9 1/2 lbs) but so cute :) Lovely newborn snuggles. Oh another friend (our sons are 8 weeks apart) accidentally spilled what she is having yesterday - she couldn't believe it! Only her and her DH know, and she's done so well (she's having bubby on 22 August). So I am pretending I don't know and didn't hear - poor thing! I haven't even told my DH she accidentally told me, he's really close friends with her DH. Anyway... she's having a girl which is so exciting, because our girls wont be far apart either! I nearly told her about ours, but didn't. She can just have a lovely surprise :)

Trying to get my frozen stock of food up so I don't have to rely on microwave meals after bub gets here when I don't have time too cook. Would be so much easier if the HG would leave me alone for a day. At least DS is behaving. Bubba is such a wriggle bum. Hasn't stopped since we woke up :)
