reet~ I still sleep on my stomach at 26 weeks dr said it was okay your body will tell you when its not safe.

AFM ~ i went to the dr's today and everything is great. Got to see the baby again which made me happy. Also found out today that the reason why i have been taking so long to show is that i have natural wide hips and it takes longer for some people to show that have them IDK?

Kit - Sounds like a good plan to give your dad some type of 'busywork' to keep him out of the way while you labour at home, lol. Naughty naughty using your tummy muscles too much, but I undersand how hard it is not to! My midwives actually laid me down on a bed and made me demonstrate how I'm supposed to get up from now on, lol. I chuckled, being coached how to get up. I got the monitoring movements lecture too, and it was a bit scary. I guess just use your instincts. :)

Melster - Welcome! CONGRATULATIONS! I've been stalking you here and there, wondering if you might have caught your eggie this month. Good luck with your appointment :) They'll probably do quantitative (sp??) hcg and get your blood group etc, and test for all kinds of other stuff while they're at it. Yay! Now, re the worry......... I know you can't entirely switch it off, I still have my moments (although now I worry about bubs having clubfeet and having to have braces for a while etc.... long story will catch you up later on that one.). I will say this though. Challenge negative thoughts. Enjoy every little bit of this pregnancy be it a keeper or not, because there is no way of telling how long you've got to love this baby. You could be around to see them grow up and have kids of their own, or not. Nobody knows. So try to take some time every day to just love that little baby in whatever way you can. I look back on my 1st pg and wish I could have spent more time just loving that baby, than worrying about all the sh** going on around me instead. Once again though, congrats and good to see you in here!

Ferrals - Sorry to hear about the p.p, but I agree with Mildez. It doesn't matter how she comes out as long as she's happy and healthy. I can understand how you'd feel a bit sad though about not even having the choice whether to birth vaginally or not..... I'm a bit worried I'll get the same news at my 28wk scan. So I guess we're in the same boat! (ish) lol

Mildez - I enjoyed the sunroof comment.. lol.

Dory - I think he was always fairly connected to what was going on....... but now even moreso. Bubby kicked the dog when he was lying across my belly too, so everyone's in on the action now! LOL It seems now mr puppy just wants to snuggle my belly, as if he's waiting for another kick. So cute! Looking forward to seeing a pic of little Hannah Bear!

Tegam - wow 31 weeks.. you're cruising along!

Sunshine - Hopefully you get the information you're looking for, hun. I too felt left behind after the various stuff-ups with my paperwork and appointments etc, but don't worry they'll catch you up really fast lol. That reminds me I should book our antenatal classes... EEEEEEEP!!!! Good luck and let us know how your appointment goes.

Reet - The movements I felt at around 15wks were soooo faint I kept second guessing them. Trust me, in another 2-3 weeks you'll look back and go 'OHHH, that wasn't a fart brewing'. LOL, pardon my vulgar expression. I hope I didn't rile you up too much with another one of my girl-power speeches, LOL. You know what though, I got my karma........... now my DP is on at me about what I eat!! There was a story on the news about gestational diabetes, and he goes 'SEE! SEE! Stop eating those cheeseburgers unless you want to push out a 10 pounder!' I tried to make a joke and said 'did you say quarter pounder?' And he got a bit cross. hehe..... The best way to deflect his er, conversation was to say 'I know. You're right. I know. I'll behave myself.' LOL. I didn't bother telling him that I don't have GD, and that our bub is measuring spot on for dates, not bigger... so chillax! That was not the right time for a rebuttle though. I'll save that one for later! It's all about timing, my friend... haha. Just remember the two magic words which have saved my relationship a million times over 'yes dear'. Oh, and so flattered that I'm your pg rolemodel, lol. That's so cute. *hand on chest* I hereby swear to be a good and honourable rolemodel to Reet. :) You probably aren't squashing bubby when you lay on your stomach, I still kind of can, although I try to roll more to the side than before, and tuck a beanbag pillow under my bump. It's totally comfortable, so I assume if it was bad it would hurt?? I'm no doctor though, so I'll be interested to hear what the others think. Ikwym about being excited to see bub's face. I already just KNOW that ours looks like my DP. I just know it for some reason. That and I have this really strong feeling all of a sudden that it's a girl. Can't wait to see your 3d pics though!!

AFM - Well, this little tummy-muffin has been moving a lot!! Yesterday I was getting prodded all day long. Very cute. The dog even got a nice kick in the head, which was hilarious..... lol. I haven't felt much yet today but I haven't had brekky yet either. As soon as I do, it'll be all action all day all the time. Haha. While we're on the subject of amusing tales.................. DP just said he was going down to the convenience store and asked if I wanted anything. "Ooooh a plain bagel would be nice!!" He rolled his eyes and said 'no!'. I burst out laughing and he looked at me like a crazy woman. Well, really... who asks if you want something then says NO! His excuse was it was the shop next door, and he didn't want to put 2 bucks on his eft card. I still couldn't stop laughing though. Hopefully he brings me something munchable back though! Oh oh, and I have new neighbours. A lovely french lady, her husband and their 4 kids. Her youngest is 7 months old. She apologized for him crying yesterday and I said 'don't worry, my baby might be louder'. We had a good laugh, and then bonded over our choice of girls names. Her only daughter is called Mia, and I told her that's our number 1 girls name. I never normally 'bond' with neighbours, but I thought it might be a good idea to have other mums around me! The lady on the other side of me also has 2 little girls, so maybe I should pop over with some cookies or something...............

Anyway, time to get ready to go out and about. Hopefully browsing the baby shops. yay!

Ferrals- Had to laugh at the whole skinned rabbit thing! Thanks for filling me in on what to expect tho! I wont worry now when i see that its all skin and bone either.. i wld probably just think its got dhs body tho.. hes a bit scrawny! haha :) I think i will definitely get it but ill also get the u/s at 30ish wks done in 3d too..
Did dr google help u out this morning?? Any positive stories??

Mildez- Thats no good :( im glad everything is fine tho, i hope ur getting lots of rest now.

Kell- Oh im REALLY jealous of u now too!!! Grrrrr!! ;) congratulations on feeling first flutters.. i hope u come out from under that rock now!! It shld be me hiding out until i feel mine now! :)

Angelfish- Have u found that u have suddenly popped out or ur still not as big as u shld be?? Yay for seeing baby again!

Forshelby- I saw that news story on gestational diabetes too! Thank god dh was still away.. he wld have definitely thrown that in my face and i wld have been in no mood to cop it!! haha It did make me a bit paranoid tho... i wld hate for my eating habits to affect our baby.. I gotta start eating healthy! or atleast 1 piece of fruit a day.. im shocking! Hilarious that ur dp started up on u about it haha... and i loved ur quarter pounder joke.. i was actually laughing out loud thru ur whole post.. and thats not normal for me! Im not sure if i can just do the whole 'yes dear' thing.. im a taurus which = very stubborn!! Hes a cancer.. not sure wat they're really like but when we argue we are just like eminems song... when a tornado meets a volcano!!! We both dont handle critisism very well.. Hes a good boy and always gives in first tho... it takes me a while to calm down. I will try the whole yes dear thing oneday.. it will probably get me far! :)
Oh and thanks for clearing up the whole baby movement thing.. i guess i cld be feeling little movements and just not recognising them as being the baby.. I will be so excited when i finally do feel something and know that its the baby! I bet the placenta is at the front tho.. ill probably be one of those ppl that doesnt feel anything til like 22 weeks.. I really hope not tho!!

AFM- Had a fantastic little shopping spree today! It was GREAT!! I honestly havent gone shopping for myself in atleast 2 years. I find it really hard to spend money.. some may call me stingey! haha. My dh makes up for it tho. I spent like $400! $200 of that was in kmart! haha how does anyone do that?! I bought some new knickers.. nice tops (size 10.. im still in denial that im going to get bigger ;) ) some yoga clothes for my pregnancy yoga next week, some thongs, a book.. um and i think that was it from there.. but then i bought a beautiful new bedspread for our room.. its so colourful and happy looking! oh and i bought a new handbag and wallet! I was going to go into a surf shop for them but then thought.. no i want to look like a mature adult that doesnt have billabong wallets and handbags anymore.. so i went into a bag shop that my mum wld go into! haha sad i know.
I had such fun shopping!!! Isnt retail therapy great! :) I think the next money spending spree will be all baby things tho... ive had my selfish little shop.. ill be right for a while now :)
Dh gets home in 2 hrs so i better go and clean up this filthy house.. its so annoying that i have left it to the time of the day when all i want to do is relax.. oh well i work better under pressure!

Reet-yeh i will get another at 28 weeks the one i just had she was buried into the placenta and the cord was in her face so it was hard to see but her little face is so cute just i would like to see more definate features hopefully at the next scan.
And no dr google didnt help apparently if the placenta previa is a grade 4 covering the entire cervix it is unlikely to move enough for a natural birth and it is very common to bleed from 27 weeks on and the further you get the more risk of hemorage so most of grade 4 PP get hospitalised on bed rest and have early c sections.
Not what i need or want i have to work until feb.
I did read some women have no bleeding until late in the pregnancy but have abstained from work, sex ,housework ect.
I will do whatever it takes to get our girl here safe but until the doctors tell me to stop work and sex ect i will continue as normal i have had no sign of spotting at all the entire pregnancy and we have great sex with plenty of O's 2-3 times a week so i think at the moment i have nothing to worry about.

Reet~ i am 27 weeks today and i just started to pop out in the past week or so my bf thinks that i am crazy that i want to show more.

Sounds like you had a lovely day. I must admit i always feel better if i get up in the morning and tackle the cleaning so i can rest in the avo, but there is nothing like the quick pressure clean that DH will be home soon to get me moving :lol:

I buy my bags from 'real' bag shops, you make me feel OLD! I also like getting nice big bags to use as nappy bags, they are so much nicer and cheeper so you can get more!

was it you that ,mentioned belly size and sleeping. I am still very small and sleep on my tummy and im 31weeks.... I always have done and the only advice i have been given is that you will stop when have too, it will just get too uncomfy....

Reet - Well I'm glad my quarter pounder joke wasn't wasted. :) My sister is a taurus, so I know all about the stubbornness. Your DH might faint when you try the 'yes dear' line.. lol. That could be amusing. I'm totally jealous of your shopping spree......... I too find it hard to spend money especially on myself. You did really well! I got a good chuckle out of the billabong wallets.... lol. I haven't set foot in a surf shop in years. That stuff costs sooo much, for some crummy word written on it. It makes me cranky, lol. Good luck with the cleaning :) I stupidly did mine before DP and I decided to do some light masonry (looong story....) and the place looks like a bomb has hit it again. Or maybe like a toolbox threw up. Heh... gross.

Ferrals - Ahhh sex. I've forgotten what that's like! hahaha... It just doesn't seem to happen anymore! I don't know if DP is turned off by my bump or what. Come to think of it I'm not sure how I'd really go about it with this bump in the way.... I've never felt less sexy.

Tegam - Oh, I hope I can belly-sleep for as long as you have...... it's my favourite. :)

AFM - So I solved my baby clothing storage problem. We found one of those hanging wardrobe organizer things at a cheapie shop for $8! Score! It's perfect, and saved us oh.... $52 dollars. I really didn't want to hog up space with a chest of drawers anyway, so yay for that. I got a night-light in the shape of a fish too for $7 so I'm extra proud of our bargain hunting. We may have found a nappy change mat cushion thingie for free as well, and I'm working on the baby bath. :thumbsup:

hi to everyone else...it will take me a bit to catch on with my mobile...

Atm..im still on holidays for another ten days.......took another test today and its defiantly darker and its darker now than the one with my mc........im so so so tired tho...i cant believe it and im so kranky....i forgot what it feels like and its defiantly harder with dd and i havent even really started yet lol......think i will defiantly keep my obs app just to be safe and see whether he will check my levels....altho he did say he would normally only check if he suspected something......he wouldnt be able to see much at six weeks anyways would he.......luckily the fear hasnt set in yet....the holiday is a good distractor.....and maybe this time it will be ok...im kinda feeling a little positive.........

Hi everyone--
Ah--shopping- I could use a little of that myself! Sunday morning so it's a work morning for me... A woman in my congregation was walking with a friend (her daily walk) and struck unexpectedly by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel... My parishioner is at a trauma unit and has multiple injuries. Another parishioner just had a stroke and is not doing well at all.
I got both calls yesterday.

On a "up" note: the baby is moving around, and I have a good awareness of it. He doesn't move all the time and it's mild, but definitely NOT GAS. Woo-hoo!

About my doc's appt-- All is well, hurrah. I haven't gained too much weight and I finally received the info about childbirth classes, which totally conflict with my work schedule, but the church will need to adapt; it's only 5 classes. Anyway, my hubby is being really supportive...we both ended up at Burger King (a fast food joint) last night because we were exhausted. I hope that I don't get the diabetes thing. We usually eat better than this...but we had worked all day on Saturday.

Today is Sunday and I need to have a lot of energy to get me through the day...as I will have 2 hospital visits after leading church services. I find that I get tired easily.

Friends, drive carefully and take care of yourselves. I will get caught up on persies and such when I return.

Melster~ i started to feel really self consous when i bought some items for the baby and the cashier asked if i was going to a baby shower and i said no its for me when i told her how far long i was she said oh you dont even look pregnate ever since then i have been selfconsius about my bump.

sunshine~ i am sorry to hear about the people who you go to church with. But i am so happy for you about feeling the baby move its the best feeling in the world

AFM~i find out in on tuesday if i am going haveing a c-section or not becosue i have a heart problem that might make me have to have one. I dont want one bu as long as the baby is healthy i am willing to do anything

angel: I went to a party yesterday and for three hours no less it really was the topic of conversation how small i am, 3 people even asked if i had had my dates confirmed or had i seen a Dr yet!!! Im 31weeks, grrrr. I just say yes i am a compact unit, couldnt stand to be huge!!

I feel like a whale yest someone at work said i have to be further along as i looked huge made me feel awful and self concious so we cant win either way

angelfish I've looked after a number of women in labour with heart conditions non have had elective c/s although I can see with some conditions it would be for the best. They have all had IV antibiotics in labour but I'm not sure why I just know all the women have had them during labour.

Yes people can be rude with their comments. Most people who have tiny bumps to look at from the outside palp nice and compact and have the cutest bumps and have babies of sizes you wonder how they fit in lol. I don't get that big outways but my bump gets very long going up the abdo but I hav a long waist. Bump is already at the naval or just above which is the landmark for 20weeks but I'm not popping out much. Wish I looked as pregnant as I sometimes feel.

S&S sounds like your Dr appointment went well. Doesn't sound like you had a good day work wise. Hope the two people you spoke about have surprisingly wonderful recoveries.

Tegam - Thanks :) Nothing more satisfying than getting what you need AND having money in your pocket. I would be sooo cranky if everyone wanted to sit around discussing my girth... or lack thereof. Argh! How very diplomatic of you to put up with that, hehe. And what a great comeback!

Melster - You'll find a way around your storage problems. Just don't overlook the cheapie shops! When is your due date btw? Just curious :) I must have been one of the lucky ones hun, cause I haven't felt cranky, overly emotional (except a couple of random times, lol) or anything! I always hear the stories about the hormonal pg woman, and I don't get it! Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday, and relaaaaaaax :) Oh and stop peeing on those sticks, lol. It's an addiction, I know!

Sunshine - Aw, so sorry to hear about your parishioners.... that's terrible news. How lovely of you to go and see them at the hospital though, that's well, above and beyond. Yay for the baby moving, and for burger king too lol. (We used to have that over here and I actually worked there for a while............ ) Try not to worry about gest. diabetes, I think you have to have a pretty shocking diet for that to happen. Surely you have to be predisposed to it as well?? Hmm.. research time!

Angelfish - What a nosey cashier! And not to mention rude to say you don't even look pg.... that can be as bad as saying you're as big as a house. Don't feel self conscious about it hun, I'm sure your bump is fabulous. Good luck for Tuesday, I hope you get the best result for you. Put your health first hun :)

Kellie - Hey! Glad to see you back out from under the rock. :) I think either way we will probably feel crap.... you're so right. People always ask me if I'm sure I'm not having twins. I was like 'some of that is me, it's not all baby you know'. Although I wasn't chunky before getting pg, I did have a little bit of a belly.. I mean, I wasn't a stick! Trust me you are not a whale, hun.... I can't see my feet anymore, LOL.

Mildez - I used to wish I looked more pg.......... and now it's happening I miss the good old days just a tiny bit. You know, walking around for hours shopping without having to sit down or just leave because I'm so sore. Swollen feet, aching hips..... but you know what, I wouldn't change it for the world. Except maybe the feet part, LOL. I had to waddle around the kitchen last night because my feet were just so sore.

AFM - Bubby is having a very active morning today! I think he/she is appreciating the muesli and yoghurt I had for breakfast. On a naughty note............ DP and I finally DTD last night. :) It felt really strange because I only had a little belly last time... (yes, it's been a while) and now it's um, huge. At first I felt kind of self-conscious about my huge belly, and didn't really feel all that sexy, but you get over it lol. I'm just glad the baby didn't kick :redface:

I'm feeling really motivated today, first time in soooooooooooo long! We got some shelves I had stored in the garage into the baby's room last night, (another bargain, I bought them 7 years ago so no need to get new ones!) and now I can make some more progress in there. I think I'll pick up a blank canvas so I can paint something for the wall. I was thinking of doing the 'friends forever' bears... Not sure if anyone knows what they are, but they're the chubbiest cutest teddy bears I've ever seen, so I thought they'd be appropriate. And unisex!

Ok I think I've rambled on enough, time to get my butt into gear.

I have a neat little bump too. When people ask me how long to go and I say 3 weeks, I always get the same wide-eyed response. The downside - I didn't really "show" until 33 or 34 weeks. The upside - don't feel like a whale, lots of my clothes fit, and I feel like my little bump is very well supported.

Off to go and get a carseat anchor bolt today - capsule gets fitted on Friday, wooohooooooooo!

I have been small with all my pregnancies and i keep getting told i dont look pregnant but i feel bigger with this bub than the others maybe because i was a few kilos heavier to start with this time.
With my 2nd son my next door neighbor asked who's baby i had when he was a few days old i said mine and she said i didnt even know you were pregnant :o i use to wave to her and say hello every day i will add a pic of my belly later when DH gives me the computer back i am on the kids one at the moment.
