    anyone else extremely lightheaded?

I'm lightheaded all the time - have been my whole pregnancy but it's getting worse. The severity comes in wave throughout the day. Even when i'm lying down i'm lightheaded. My BP is fine(i have a machine at home). I have a midwife appt tomorrow but thought i would ask if anyone had something similar. It's getting debilitating. I don't want to drive just in case i faint, i hardly go out. I've already spent the majority of my pregnancy in bed because of HG. i really am just over being in bed. I want to be up and about like normal people. i can't even play with my kids. Doing anything is exhausting and my head feels bad all the time.

sorry, I can't really help,I am only 6wks but I just posted in my bellybuddies group about been lightheaded and off balance but think it might be more from my headcold.I hope it is nothing serious. Maybe you should see a doctor, it might not be pregnancy related at all just something that becoming pregnant has made flare up.

Are you getting plenty of fluids? That was usually the culprit if I felt light headed.

When I was pregnant I was extremely light headed. My BP was often on the low side (generally about 90/50 no higher than 110/70) even with drinking heaps of water. I read that during your second your blood vessels dilate in response to the pregnancy hormones, allowing for a greater blood flow to ur baby and placenta. It's a common symptom in the 2nd trimester. Lower blood sugars could also be something to think about, try to eat regularly so that your blood sugar never drops too dramatically. And try to avoid things like standing up too quickli

I found that electrolyte drinks or coconut water really helped.

I saw my midwife today and my BP was low - 102/58. so that's probably the culprit. I don't know what's going on with my bp machine though because it's never been that low at home. oh well, i need to drink more and take some iron tablets. I hope it goes away soon!
