Alan - is it worth me starting EPO at this late stage?
I would Astrid, it can't hurt.... I'm pretty sure the recommendation is to start for 36 weeks anyway, so you're really not that far behind.
when should you start doing this? how many weeks?
Hi Astrid
Yes I would suggest that you start them now
Bluetree
usually reccomend that you start no earlier than 35 weeks
i asked my midwife about it today and she said not to do it before 38 weeks and probably better not to do it unless you are about to go over 40 weeks ... i guess that means it works pretty well!
Another question - I use cloth pads, do you think they will be ruined by EPO?
Interesting question Astrid because I've read some people say that they ruined their underwear not realising about the leakage. That said, I haven't had much actual leak out onto my liner just yet. I insert right as I'm going to bed & generally I sleeep around 4 hours before my first toilet wake up LOL. When I wipe there is heaps of oil there, but it just hasn't made it's way all the way to the liner, so you might be ok. Does that make sense at all?!
That makes sense, I have a stash of commercial pads lying about, so I might track them down. Thinking though I might wait till after my midwife appt tomorrow before I starting inserting incase they have any concerns.
if i pee like 5 time a night is this going to hinder the process.
Sassy - what I do is insert it straight after going to the toilet, just before going to bed. Try not to drink too much water just prior to going to bed. You might find during the night you'll have an oily discharge, but it doesn't take long to disolve.
