I'm surprised how much they rely on these measurements and how little faith they have in women's bodies :( Will they not even allow trial of labour? Surely there's no harm in going into labour and seeing how it progresses?
My OB made mention of 'alternative' birthing methods (no doubt he meant c/s) if my next one is as big as Kayla was on her way to being.. but my deathglare stopped him short LOL. He'll have a battle on his hands if he thinks I'll be walking in for a c/s without attempting vaginal birth first. I'll probably have a doula with me next time anyway who will help with positioning for birthing a big baby.
My first was 6lb at 37wks and as I said Kayla was 7lb14oz at 34wks, so hopefully #3 will be somewhere inbetween!
I wish you all the best preparing to meet your little one :)

Keep in mind the recovery time after a c/s. I had a c/s 4 months ago and the recovery was awful. I couldn't even lift my baby up by myself or do anything for her for a while that I had been looking forward to doing :( I would have a natural birth over a c/s any day if I could b/c you can get up and enjoy your baby much quicker.
