Everything is sounding really positive that you'll be meeting your bub very soon. The pressure would be bub moving down the pelvis more, which is great. Good luck with it all. Sending lots of labour vibes your way.
When should i call the hospital to go in? i'm anxious and worried JB may go in to distress or something cause i'm not sure whats happening.
Are you getting contractions, or just braxton hicks? If you're getting contractions, how far apart are they? Your waters haven't broken have they??
Hun stay at home. Your baby is fine. Your body is fine. This is what is meant to happen.
You will be so much more comfortable in your own home - or parents home. Have yourself a shower or bath and relax. Your body sounds like it's in early labour. There is no need to be anxious hun, this is what your body was designed to do. Even if your waters have broken it's ok to stay at home. You do not need to rush anywhere.
Hospital likes your contractions to be around 60 seconds long and coming every 5 - 3 minutes. They should ideally hold this pattern.
You CAN do this. YOUR body is working great for your baby and it's birth.
I agree with Trish. You'll feel so much more relaxed at home. And feeling relaxed is very important.
Thanks guys. I'm not sure if it's contractions or braxtons. my Ob said that classes would have been a waste of time. Now i wish i had'nt have listened. Dont think my waters have broken.
i'm going to have a shower and try to calm down.
I want to be with my DH. :(
Braxtons will stop in the shower or bath huni. And POO to your OB.
It's abit late now to worry abour classes.
We can give you a crash course on here ;)
You will do great hun. Be strong and believe in your body. Have your shower, relax, have a nap if you can and most importantly, try not to stress out. That will only slow your body down.
You CAN do this. Infact... You ARE doing this!!
Lesson #1 - stay calm!!
Lesson #2 - take a bath/shower, watch a movie. Whatever it is that will relax you
Lesson #3 - Don't be too focused on timing your contractions when they start. Just take it as they come. Have someone time them for you, but you don't need to know how far apart they are, especially at the beginning.
Lesson #4 - Rest whenever you can. If it's only braxton hicks, then it's important to get some sleep tonight, as labour might only be hours/days away, and you need all the energy you can get.
Thanks guys. :grouphug:
Hope everything is going OK Jo, the others have given you brilliant advice so hopefully you will have rested last night and will be in having bubs now!
Hey Jo. Thinking of you :) I'm sure whatever's happening, you're doing fabulously! :D
Hi guys thanks but...
I'm still childless. Jb doesn't want to come out.
Was at hospital last night thought my waters may have broken, but the swab revealed i was wrong.
Turns out it was just watery discharge??? Heaps of the stuff.
I feel like JB doesn't want me, like i'm being teased. I know it's silly but i was crying all morning.
Have suffered deppression in the past OB aware.
Obviously your pains were Braxton hicks then hun.
The watery discharge is a good sign too hun. Your body is still working away. Your baby will be here soon. Just try to enjoy what time you have left just you and your husband. Pretty soon you will be a family of 3 and there will never be alone time again
Bub will be here, very soon. Try and hang in there until then. I know it's an anxious time ahead.
Thanks guys.:grouphug:
I've got to go home soon but i'll be back some time tomorrow afternoon.
keep us posted, and vent away whenever you need to. That's what we're here for.
Whats the watery discharge then? If not waters cause sometimes i can feel it dripping onto the pad.
