AH as for your qu - I didn't think you were meant to have sex when you were dilated... I could be getting this all wrong, but I thought it increased the risk of infection?!! Maybe a hot curry or a good walk will do the trick! :) GL I wish you all the best with your pending birth!
Hee hee Pish - I thoguht that might be the case! We had curry for tea last night and I had it for lunch today. Also walked to the park with DD. So come on!!!!!!
If nothing tomorrow, go for a long walk!!!:leap:
(Then rest!! :p)
Good luck.
PS - can anyone tell me what section of the forum Birth Announcments are, I have had a scan through and can't see the thread?
Still nothing!!! Ahahhhhahahahah going crazy! Had some mild contractions for about 2 hours at 3am then they stopped. Very uncomfortable at moment but no contractions. Still lots of mucus - gross!!! Hopefully soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh how frustrating!!!!! :crossfingers: for you
I hope it happens soon.
If it's any consolation, I had cramps like you and pre-labour for a few days and when I went into labour last week, it all happened VERY quickly. It all helps towards getting the baby out.
I hope you are holding your baby very very soon! Good luck with everything and lots of labour vibes.
Ok forget the long walk, try running!!!
or maybe dancing
or failing those two maybe just sleep :asleep: until something happens!!
Sorry got a bit carried away, I would be going crazy by now, I hope you are slowly travelling to the point where it just starts!!
Good luck
Shar
Come on baby!! Grand final tomorrow and DH has tickets - might not be going!! Or I could be sitting here for days yet with cramps and mucus galore! I wish it would happen soon - sick of waiting. I have been to the toilet about 4 times in last hour cause it feels like something is goingto happen but nope.
Have you got a breast pump? Try that....
anything this morning?
Nope!! No pain no contractions! Little more mucus. Now hoping it won't happen till late this arvo AFTER grand final so DH can be with me!!!!
Anything??? I hope your lack of posting means....
Oh I wish!!! I'm really starting to get annoyed now! Please tell me this happens to other people. At least I know on Tues we will be induced so no more waiting - I know I'm impatient!
Acupuncture is very effective at getting things moving. Any chance you can make an appointment for tomorrow....? Or you could try a tablespoon of castor oil with juice.....
I had 4 days of on-off contractions before the day DS decided to arrive. My mother had on - off contractions for up to a week before each of hers. Pretty normal. Your body obviously likes to change gears and warm-up slowly - we are all so different!!
Try doing some deep breathing meditation - and visualise your cervix opening up like a flower. It may sound trite, but many people swear by this technique!! Deep breathing sends the message to your brain that you are relaxed, and labour is more likely to start naturally when you are relaxed.
Fingers crossed for you....
You could also try nipple stimulation
I keep checking I am excited for you ;) No advice though hee heee
i so recommend nipple stimulation like Alan suggested!!!
