Cass - you poor thing! My heart goes out to you - someone here who struggled through 3 wks of prelabour due to a stubbonly posterior bub. What hospital are you at??? Is it possible to drive a certain distance and "have" to call in at another hospital and say you were visiting in the area and need to be checked due to pain???
Have you considered seeing someone like acupuncturist/chiro for the pre labour??? My chiro was able to use some pressure points to get the pre labour to stop which was blissful - but I didn't have the maybe UTI maybe ROM just prelabour.
Hope you are hanging in there
Oh PS - not that you are in the modd now but I'm popping down in Aug/Sept would love to catch up with you and Izzy and bean if you are up to it
Cass good luck. I had Eva at the same hossy you'll be going to. If you want I'll pm you the middy I had..she was devine!!! very caring
just thought id update for Cassie - she has been back in hospital last night and again this morning. Last night they sent her home with pain killers and today she has been given a drip(not sure what for) but she has some sort of virus and will more then likely be home again later this afternoon. Cervix is closed and high - poor thing is going through hell.
Bek ~ i too had one of my others there and was really happy with them although this time round im actually scared of having to go and birth there after Cassie's horrible time she's been having, other stories ive heard and i also dont like my OB. I too loved my midwife i had last time - he was excellent!
Poor Cassie, thanks for the up date CMo3!!
I didn't think anything of the OB's either but the midds are still awesome. I found going in with a birth plan the best thing I ever did. When I arrived to give birth I gave the first mid my birth plan. She went and gave it to the other mid wifes to have a look at and one returned to my room telling me how much she loved my plan and that it was her style of labouring..Good luck you'll be fine
another update from cassie
she is on her way home with instructions to rest and take it easy. they done some blood tests and still waiting for results and will call her if anything shows up. she is glad to be going home. she mentioned that she wanted to swap spots with the girl across from her as she was being induced.
Bek i only just noticed you have one day left. All the best hun.
god... poor cass.
Cmo3 - i gave birth last Thursday
well now dont i look like a goose. Congrats on the birth of your lil one
Bekz - Will send you PM... And Congrats on your birth :)
Thanks Crazy for updating... Filling in details...
Tuesday night was very sick with vomiting and alot of cramping, DF called up the hosp and they said to come in so they can check to see if anything is going on... Get in there around 7ish and they put me in the birthing suite...
They put me on monitors, it is quite scary stuff watching beany's heart rate go from 100 to 200 with every cramp/contraction what ever they call them...
An OB came and did a speculium (duck test as my lovely DF calls them) Cervix still high an closed, and still getting a black reading from swap but they said there is no pooling of the waters...
OB gave me Prodein x2 (sp?) and Tamaze x2 (sleeper i think thats what it called) and to go home...
Wednesday morning, My RN from work came and saw me and didn't like the fact i was still in pain and she rang my dr, I still couldn't keep anything down, was up half the night with vomiting still... Dr adviced that i go back up to the hosp. went back up to hosp (i really am sick of seeing those four walls)
They put me on monitors, completely different to the night before, me and Beany we're very drugged up... Beany wasn't moving and her heart rate stayed at a stead 118 (pretty much), and I was just extremely tired and keeping it hard to stay awake, They kept it on longer, until they woke her up and she moved around... Different OB came along. I was dehydrated so she put me on the drip and maxolin to stop the vomiting... Was able to tolarate some water so after 6 hours was able to come home...
Yay! Which is where i am now... stop throwing up... Able to eat... hoping this nightmare ends sooon... And my dream begins hehehe :)
Oh Cass - sorry to hear this is all still happening. Hope you get to meet Beany really soon!
Contractions + Back pain... Keeping me awake... Ohhhhhhhhhh wow :)
I feel like i really need to poo and spew... But neither are happening... So i am just walking around my very quiet house (it really is quite peaceful this time of night :P) and catching up on some BB :)
Still very much here...
Still in pain and just feeling really run down and crap
Now to top it off I've been in contact with swine flu... :( I think i am going to just sit here and cry1
Oh Cass, you poor thing :( I hope your bub comes out to meet you very soon
Thanks Janie!
Me too!!!
I've been tested for swine flu now, Doctor wasn't too worried he thinks its more hype then serious... But the hospital wanted me tested and quarantined untill test results come back. And not allowed at my Antenatel appointments until the all clear. which i don't mind becuase i would hate to put any other pregnant lady at risk..
