Granted yes, there are some that aren't and some that will be worth every penny if implemented properly. But again, I just cannot see this one happening properly, if indeed it even happens at all. What do you think would happen to the kids who are already struggling with their own language because there is no support at home? there are parents who can't be ****ed reading an ENGLISH language reader with their kids every night, so you can forget about a FOREIGN language one! If this ever happens, I can see now what the outcome will be, thousands of kids with a half hearted comprehension of a different language and no practical way to use it, so they will have lost it by the time they are adults. I learnt a second language in high school for 12 months and I can tell you now I would be lucky to recite anything more than hello, goodbye and where is the post office :lol.
