Well we were pretty happy with how it all went. He did say he wanted more lunch in there but had left the nashi pear (and ate it in the car on the way home) so today I put the same in but with an extra sandwich and swapped the nectarine for a big banana so that should be good I think. Feeling a lot better now that we have survived one day and I didn't forget anything major.

good to hear Krysalyss! Our first day is still a couple of weeks away and I'm starting to worry about the food thing. My DD tends to do more talking that eating and then is STARVING later...

thanks for those links Onyx.
My dd told me she would like cheese and chutney, or ham and chutney sandwiches. Nothing else. And that's the reality. If i sneak in a 1cm sized piece of lettuce, or a tiny bit of grated carrot, into her sandwiches, she really lets me know about it. The list of what she refuses to eat, let alone even try, is so long. I guess school lunches, based on the very small amount of things she WILL eat, will be pretty limited, makes it easy for me - the irony.

Glad he had enough! What about some extra protein to keep him fuller for longer? Cheese, yoghurt, nuts (if you aren't nut free), boiled egg, hommus etc

Yeah good suggestions! Now that I know he has a fridge we can use I definitely will add some of those things. I wasn't sure about the nut thing for his school. Will have to check it out. :)
