o.k my title sounds confusing but its not, i would like to know if you are the seller of a product and some one buys an item from you is that 2.4% plus .30 cents that paypal charges you, is that on the product item or the total cost of transaction so including what customer pays in shipping?

You pay a percentage on the amount of money they transfer to you.
Could be $2, could be $9 - depends on the how much transaction is.
I wish I paid a monthly amount to them, instead of fees!
It's on the total cost (so includes postage). PayPal fees hurt sometimes!

Have you looked at paymate too, squidipa? They are Aussie owned and have a slightly different fee system. I have both options on my website.

Hmm. I thought that Paypal only charged one fee, and that was the seller's fee. I thought that Paymate had the sellers fee, and the buyers fee, but that as a seller you could absorb that fee and pay both.:
Am I wrong? Does Paypal have both too? Maybe I am mixed up....
Paymate is good because they automatically transfer to your bank account, and I don't think they charge you for that. I'm pretty sure...
As far as I know there is only a fee for sellers? I've never been charged a fee as a buyer and I've never been charged a fee for my buyers either.
Do you mean Paypal? Paymate has a fee for both, I think, but you can opt to absorb that fee, which I imagine most sellers would do. I do.:
