just wondering what your opinion would be on the best family mover....we are havingnumber 4 in november so will need to upgrade.
i will have 4 aged 5 and under so will have 3 car seats and a booster....
i also need a car thats goo with fuel,does anyone have any suggestions?
i was also thinking van over like 4wd kind and will need good boot space for pram etc

We got a Mazda MPV - cos we will have three car seats in the backseat too. Its a 7 seater.
Both sides have got sliding doors - which is freakin awesome, I love it.
Plus - its not like a van when you drive it, I swear, when I'm driving it, i feel like i'm driving my little mazda 323.
Plus - cannot go past the mazda's quality. And resale value ;)
....ummm this is me in approx 6 days.....we have 2 x maxi riders, and a SNS convertible and a capsule in our car - its a Chrysler Voyager. Soooo much room for the girls, tinted windows, cd player, i love it......we did have a honda odyssey (most gorgeous car ive ever owned), but when we got a suprise BFP we had to sell. No way we could get 4 x car seats in that thing.:

We looked at Kia's too...but DH wasnt too impressed with their track record.

Apparently the newer Kia's are much better than the older ones.
I have a ford Territory and It is lovely to drive. It has 7 seats. Can your eldest do up their own seatbelt cos it would be a pain to try and reach them to help in the back. It is not that great on fuel. The new model (not yet released, is supposed to be much better and also has gas and diesel options). The boot space with the back row of seats up is not amazing. Lot's of mums with 4 kids suggest that they opt for an umbrella stroller cos of the space saving.

We have the holden Jackaroo. All 5 rear seats come with floor bolts, and the 3 along the middle also have restraint holders in the seat. We also just found out that upgrading it to an 8 seater is not actually that much fuss or cost at all, so we are holding onto our big little holden.
Fuel economy is decent too. Not 4cyl style, but it got us to qld on $150 so thats fairly decent considering the price of fuel. 10l/100km Highway, 14l/100km city.
Its one and only downfall is that with all seats filled, so is the car. No room for anything else.
I have Kia :hide: and I love it.
I fit a twin side by side pram i the boot and still have some room for school bags and grociers.
Its a 7 seater so I leave the seat out on the passanger side middle so I can access the back row bar when we all go away.
I have made curtains to close out the light on my babies, have a portable dvd player with 2 screens in it and a basket in the front for all off my crap (eg knitting and books)
It costs $70 to fill atm and I get 600km on the distance out of it
OH and lastly its a 2004-2005 model
I have to say it though...I dont think it matters what type of car you buy, if your car is going to break down its gonna break down.
thanks everyone will have to look into it i will be having to get an older version as will probly only get a 15000 loan,gonna pay of my vx atm then get this too coz i wont get much for my vx so not worth trading in
