Was this it??
Okay, so today i was sitting on the computer and felt like a bubbly sensation right down in my abdominal area...sorta felt like gas moving through my bowels, but i didnt need to fart (sorry tmi)
So would that have been bubbas first kicks? does it feel more like a kick? or just like bubbly movement inside my tummy area.
I got sorta excited, but im really not sure if iit was it or not. Should I start feeling more? or is it usually a one off thing?

the first feelings i got were like a ball of gass floating in my tummy and popping
then as space got less as she grew it was more bash bash bash lol
this could of been it :D how exciting.

oh oh oh, that amlost seems identical to what i felt!! So i think this was it.
Its hard to tell for me as Ive had bad gas for most of my pregnancy, so i was assuming it was just a fart, lol, but when no fart surfaced,...i was all excited...lol
man, i must sound like a psycho lol:clap::D:rolleyes:

I remember those feelings. It was kinda like butterflies in my tummy or gas. I would feel them and then not feel them for a while and then feel them again. I think at this stage they still have HEAPS of room to move and hide so sometimes you don't feel them. But I tell you what, now there's not much room and Peanut hurts when trying to stretch so enjoy the less painful movements

Sounds like it to me. I had very similar feelings from about 16 weeks. By 18 weeks I felt like I had a little fish inside me doing 'swim bys' of my lower abdomen! So expect that the feelings will be low down for a while until bubs grows a bit more. I thought the movement would be a lot higher from day dot but bubs is only little still and positioned quite low so it makes sense that they're ticking your abdomen.
I felt my first really decent kick at about 22 weeks.
Enjoy!

Same here, I hav efelt that gas bubble feeling for a couple of weeks now - very very occasionally though. I have noticed the frequency and intensity of them increasing but its not all the time yet.
Not sure about you but Ifind when I am laying in bed and I have a sip of water (very cold water mind you) I notice i feel it more then.
how exciting for you though.

I am so glad that I have found this post and this is exactly how I would have explained what I've been feeling/experiencing for about the last two weeks - I''ll be 22 weeks on Monday coming.
I had read in other places that the kicks were supposed to feel like butterflies etc and was thinking I must be a bit strange as mind felt different. Good to know that I'm not the only one. It's rather embarassing though so try to explain it to people saying it feels like gas ... butterflies are so much more romantic sounding  Was very sporadic in the begining but starting to get more frequent each day.

Both of mine felt like a fish flipping around - very odd :-) I found the best way to see if it is "it" is go and lie down and really concentrate on it - drinking cold water can help and if you feel it again in roughly the same-ish area it probably is bub. From my memory in the early days I felt them maybe once or twice in a week then once or twice a day until they are moving around in there like an alien being :-) congrats!!!!

aw...listening to your stories, im pretty sure its bub.
Its just been so hard working out if it is bub or gas, cause ive had baaaad gastro since week 6.
But i feel it more and more often, and quiet often i dont need to fart after i feel it, so im guessing its not wind lol.
Thanks for your insight!! Ill try lying down and having a sip of water, ive heard that if you eat some chocolate, then lay down, you can also feel bub within half an hour, because of the small ammount of caffine, and all the sugar, it get bub hyperactive...

mine definitely felt like that gas bubbly feeling as well...i was a bit hesistant at first to think that was it but then it became more frequent over a couple of weeks.
