Looking for mother's groups on the sunny coast

Hi, my name's cat, I'm 26 and I moved to the Caloundra, sunny coast last year. I don't know many people here on the coast and would love to meet some other mums or mums to be. I'm 22 weeks at the moment with my first.

Is there a mother's group that meets somewhere on the sunny coast say on a weekly basis?

I have no idea about ones that meet up on a regular basis, but I'm in Nambour if you ever wanted to catch up.

I usually avoid mother's groups ;)

You can speak to your health nurse I suppose.

I was never informed of any existing around here when I had my first child (which was only 2 years ago), so I've never bothered researching to be honest. I don't think they are as popular up here as they are down south for some reason.

There's a new mum's course through Qld Health that goes for 6 weeks and mother's groups form from there. You get a brochure in the hospital from memory and I also got a brochure from the nurse at the chemist when I took DS to get weighed.

thanks ladies, I'm going to book in my antenatal classes soon so I guess once I start attending them it will prob lead to it. I don't mind travelling to caboolture to attend one.

well, im from nambour, so not quite as close, ill be getting my licence very soon and will be able to travel a bit further than i can now, and would love to catch up with some fresh faces :)
