babies movements..
ok so im pretty sure i have felt my baby move around in there (im almost 19 weeks) but i cant be sure, there has def been a few times in the last few weeks where i KNEW that was wat it was. BUT its not as often as i would like :( LOL and what if what i ws feeling wasnt it?
is there something wrong with my baby?
the longer it takes for you to feel your baby kick (ie. if you dont feel it until after 19-20 weeks) does this mean there is something wrong?
i am very paranoid i know.. but i cant help it :(
thanks guys xxx

Well I didn't feel any movement with DS1 until I was around 21-22 weeks and there was NOTHING wrong with him! He more than made up for it once I could feel him LOL! He was born a very healthy active baby :)

If this is your first baby you will quite likely not feel anything until the 20 week mark.
And although they say you can feel it sooner with later babies, I didn't feel anything definite this time until 19-20 weeks. Bubs hardly stops now!
Not feeling anything definite yet doesn't mean anything is wrong, just normal.
Also, keep in mind bubs position, the position of the placenta, what you tummy muscles are like.... all sorts of things can influence how much you feel.
HTH :)

I felt DS at 18 weeks but in saying that I could only feel him when I wore pants with a tight waist band or a belt. Not any other time. When I could full on feel him and DH could feel him I was about 21 weeks.

Thanks Guys!!
yeah, this is my first baby. i guess coz i am a little on the smaller side, and my bump is quite noticeable i just kind of assumed that i should have felt it already!!!
I have my 19 week scan in 3 days, im sure that will put my mind at ease!! :D

 it will definitely help when you have your scan.
My younger sister is pg with her first too, and she has a similar worry - the other day she asked me, she had read somewhere she should feel bubs move every hour? NOT true.... anyway my point is, it's normal to worry about them... and it doesn't get any better sorry to say!
Good luck! enjoy your scan & your pregnancy :D

I felt DD from 16 weeks and come week 19 I stopped feeling her and freaked out BIG time, went to the Dr, all was well. He told me, 'the prob with feeling something too early is you think you know too much!' lol So in other words had I not got so ude to feeling her I prob wouldn't have worried. Most people with their first won't feel them until 20-23 weeks. My auntie was 24 weeks before she felt her first, and my cousin is bright as a button, just perfect.
So normal to worry during preg, its only cuz you want the best for your little creation!!!
Take it easy and enjoy the second half of your preg (almost there!), it goes far too quickly!!! :) Come the end of your pg you'll be begging your bub to calm down and give you a break from all the kicking and pushing! hehehe :D

Sounds very normal to me! Many girls don't feel definite movement until around the 22 week mark. I was lucky enough to feel decent movements from about 18 weeks but my placenta is posterior. Your placenta may be anteriror (positioned at the front of your uterus) which cushions your babies movements making it harder to notice them. They'll be able to tell you the position of your placenta at you 20 week scan.
Hang in there, it won't be long until you'll be feeling movement ALL the time ;)

im 18 weeks and have only just started to feel movements, its really hard to tell, cause a lot of the time, it felt like gas moving through me. But it was always in the same spot and didnt move so my midwife assured me it was bubba:p

i only felt my boy from about 22 weeks that i knew was definate, i didnt have a scan until 23 weeks so i wasnt even sure there was anything in there BUT there was a AND he is measuring a week and a half bigger than he should be and im definate on my ovulation date so it just goes to show that everyone is different, trust me soon enough you will wish they would stop mine goes all day and night and has even kicked me so hard it made me wee a little! haha

I agree with the other posts... I had times where I felt this bub moving, and then a period where I felt nothing at all. I ended up calling my midwife and getting the doppler put on just to reassure me. The next day was the morphology/anatomy scan and bub changed position and I have been feeling him/her very consistantly since... right now I can feel every little movement including hiccups.
It is amazing what a difference a few weeks will make. I am sure you will be feeling your bub moving around lots in no time.

Don't stress Stevie I'm sure all is fine. About 2 weeks ago I started feeling frequent movements and I was so excited, I was just getting used to them when a week ago they seemed to stop! Thankfully I had a doppler and was reassured by the heartbeat. I noticed at around that time my belly started to chagne shape and move upwards so I figure bubs just moved making movements harder to feel. I am feeling them regularly again now. I also did a bit of reading which said that movements at this stage are erratic and don't necessarily have a pattern. The book also said that it is completely normal at this stage to feel bubs one day and then nothing another day or even for a few days. At this early stage there are still so many movements that bubs makes that we cannot feel. It also depends a lot on the position of the baby - it may have been facing out and has since turned around and is now facing inwards. Also as some of the other girls have said it depends on the position of the placenta.
Hope that helps!

I felt something last night that was the baby for sure.
I was watching tv and I had my hand inside the waistband of my pants because they were digging in a bit. First I thought my hand had a bit of a twitch... but then it happened again. I could only feel it with my hand, I couldn't really feel anything with my stomach (if you know what I mean). But it felt like a kick.
I ran upstairs for DP to have a feel but ... it all stopped.
So try not to worry. I wasn't expecting to feel anything for weeks and weeks.
