Not long to go hun!
That would be your plug and all those sharp cervix pains is great. It means that the babies head is pushing down and helping to ripen the cervix. I remember having some of those pains at the shops on one occasion and it stopped me dead in my tracks! They are ouchy.
Oh and with your plug, it is a great sign but sometimes the plug can renew itself so it doesnt mean that labour is about to happen but they are both great signs.
Good luck for the birth of Amiteal :)
Maybe a silly question... but how can you tell the difference between pain in the cervix & in the bladder?
I sometimes feel like bub has dropped sharply down, gets very unconfortable & heavy & a bit painful near the bladder region but different iykwim?
Hard to explain, not something I have had before (that I can remember anyway)
and it never stays, it comes & goes...
Blayne - def sounds like your plug is on the move... but I don't know about the pains in the cervix or that area, mine has never hurt so far - other than when I have braxton hick's!
Hi Blayne,
I've been getting those cervical pains with my braxton hicks and sometimes just really sharp ones on their own. My MW actually asked me whether I had been getting them the other day so I take it they r fairly common.
