Hey all my name is tash...i was a member on here about 2 years ago but couldnt log into my old username so had to make a new one. i just have a question about contraception..couldnt find where to post it. I just had the implant put in my arm, just wondering if anyone has fallen pregnant on it and how safe it is to use without any other contraception?? just curious..ta
I don't know anyone personally whos implant failed. But what I know is that if it is placed too deep, usually by an inexperienced Dr that it has the potential to fail. So if you can easily feel it under the skin it is placed correctly. If you can't feel it, it is too deep and may fail.

well i just got the implant as well and we cant feel it through the skin. i just had an ultra sound to confirm it is there and it is but now i have to wait to see GP to see if it is still safe to use. GRRR! but, yeah it does feel wierd to be able to DTD whenever and not actively take any pills or anything.
