We r doing IUI for one round, and then if it it doesnt work doing IVF.
I see you did 1 IUI cycle...?

It was good actually, although resulted in a BFN for me.
It was a good introduction to IVF for me. IUI does work for some though, but I have tubal issues.
I had puregon injections which produced one big follicle. I was on a small dose (50iu).

We did 4 rounds, with Clomid and frozen donor sperm, and the 4th round in Nov. 07 resulted in our gorgeous princess Jazz, so it definitely can be successful! I have PCOS, so getting me to ovulate was that hardest part. Good luck!

Yes Sue I also think its a good introduction because can get used to everything when its not as complicated as ivf!
I have PCOS too Leasha, and I am having same probs....
on day 14 and only 1 small follicle too small. :(
So they have increased my dose from 50 - 75 over the weekend!
Then I have another ultrasound on Monday.
What clinics did you go to?
Does the actual IUI hurt?

We used Coastal IVF on the Sunshine Coast, with Dr Stokes. The IUI itself wasn't painful for me, it was painful when they were trying to find my cervix (something about it pointing the wrong way) and afterwards i would get some fairly ouchy period-like cramps.
We did a iui cycle beginning of last year.FS had me take clomid for 5 day (cant remember what dosage). but there were no follicles so i had puregon injections for 5 days (48iu) and got three follicles.Had a pregnyl trigger and had the iui two days later.unfortunately it didnt work for us and we are hoping to do ivf in the next couple months.i hope you have success with your iui.FS told me that most of his patients fall pregnant within 3 or 4 iui cycles and the ones that dont her then does ivf. but im not going to see that FS for IVF

Well our first IUI went very well because...
we are pregnant!!!
I had 1 follicle, and we did FSH Injections first followed by the triger and then
Pregny injections....

I think that Cassie meant PREGNYL injections which is the trigger HCG and boosters.

Just wanted to know where you're from and how much it was for the IUI's.
We r thinking of going down that route shortly and dont know where to go to ask for costs etc.
